Dogma practiced his shooting repeatedly when he was a cadet to make sure he was he was top of the class. Not because he liked it, no. But because being on top meant that if he asked the trainers to overlook Tup's hair, they would do so for the grades.

He only ever meant to help his brothers, but…he-they all-

He could still smell the stench of death, his vod'e who weren't supposed to be-

He slips, barely breaking his fall in time before continuing to run towards where Krell was last seen.

Krell.

The liar.

The traitor.

The Jedi he was supposed to trust.

Krell.

Krell.

The Jedi who deceived them.

The Jedi who betrayed him.

Dogma swipes at his eyes, at the tears forming in them. There is no time to cry. Not until he sees the general. He enters the building Krell was supposed to be in.

Krell.

The traitor.

Traitor against the Republic.

Dogma breathes in. Good soldiers follow orders.

The four-armed Jedi is facing the window, both arms behind his back. The only sign Dogma got that Krell knew he was here was the twitch of his head. Dogma's fingers twitch towards his blaster at his hip, but he refrains from pulling it out the holster. Not yet, he thinks.

"Ah," he speaks, turning his head slightly back. "I find it you've noticed the mistake." Rage fills Dogma at the conversationist tone Krell takes.

"You lied to us," he accuses.

Krell chuckles darkly. "I didn't lie," he corrects, turning to face the clone. He grins viciously. "I only…deluded the truth is all."

"Why? For what reason?!" Dogma wanted to know the truth.

Krell laughs at him, walking forwards. "Because I can." He waved his hand dismissively as he continues, "Because you fell for it." He stops in front of the clone. "Because you," and he pushes a finger into Dogma's chest to emphasis his point, "are. Inferior." Dogma shakes his head and struggles with his next words, but Krell refuses to let him speak. "Besides, it's not all my fault. After all, weren't you the one who shot your brothers? Aren't you the one who led the firing squad against them?" He laughs as tears slipped down from the trooper's face. "I may have lied, but you were the one who sent the killing shot."

Dogma clenched his jaw, willing the tears to stop. His vision blurred as Krell circled him. "Do not blame me for your mistakes, clone."

He deceived you Dogma. Don't listen to him.

Dogma tried to control his fear, hands shaking. "You had my trust," Dogma yelled, words spilling out. "My loyalty! I've followed all your orders and you-" Dogma sobbed, "you made me kill my brothers."

Krell let out an ugly laugh. "That's because you were the biggest fool of them all, Dogma." Dogma stiffened at the words, sobs dying down. "So naïve, so blatantly ignorant, though that's to be expected of creatures bred in a laboratory." The insult rolled over Dogma's head as he continued to focus on the words.

Biggest fool of them all.

"A new power is rising, and I refuse to be a part of the Republic when it comes." Dogma felt like he was under water, barely hearing the words falling from Krell's mouth.

Biggest fool.

"After all, my plan would have never succeeded without the blind loyalty from clones." Krell brags and sneers at Dogma. "Blind loyalty like yours."

Fool.

Good soldiers follow orders.

Dogma pulls his blaster up and shoots at Krell, the ex-Jedi barely blocking them seconds before they hit.

When Rex walks in to arrest the Jedi, Jesse and Fives flanking him, he did not expect to see the room destroyed with Dogma sitting against the wall, holding one of Krell's lightsabers and a wound on his side or so the captain can tell with the way he's pressing down on it.

Speaking of Krell, Rex scans the room only to see the former general somewhat hidden behind the table where battle plans used to be.

"What did you do?" he breathes, turning to Dogma.

Dogma lifts his chin at the captain, not quite defiance in his eyes but more somber. "What I had to. He-" Dogma gasps at Jesse' touch, who knelt down beside him to check his wound. "He betrayed us." Rex' heart broke at Dogma's tone, and he shares a glance with Fives. Fives nods before squatting down in front of Dogma.

"Hey, Dogma," he whispers, taking a hold of the saber the younger trooper is clutching. "You did good. You can let go now." Dogma resists, staring at Fives before turning to Rex. Rex nods, smiling gently. He lets go of the saber and Fives throws it away from them. "He's gone now. You did good." Dogma shuts his eyes at the reassurances, missing the small head shake Jesse gives to Rex.

Rex clenches his jaw, feeling a tear slip down his cheek.

"We'll take care of you, vod'ika. Just hold on."
