Present Day

Location: Onderon

Aurora's POV

I sighed in frustration as Alex and I walked through a market, both slightly in disguise so no one would recognize us…or more so recognize me. I was wearing a black hooded jacket that concealed all of my weapons, and covered my hair, which allowed for me to stay somewhat lowkey. Alex on the other hand was wearing a similar jacket only the difference in his, was that his was dark blue, again though, concealing his weapons and hiding his hair color. That part didn't bother me. It was the fact that Alex had his arm around the small of my back, keeping me close to him.

"If that hand goes any lower, I will slit your throat." I murmur as we walked through the market.

"If your tone gets any deeper, I bet you'll get Laryngitis." He murmured back, but I could tell he was trying to be funny with his tone, which made me elbow him in the side.

"Ow!" He said with a small jump. "That was highly uncalled for."

"What's uncalled for is the fact that out of all these morons, we have to act like we're married. I would've rather been happily fake married to anyone of the other people involved in this…but I got you." I said in annoyance.

"That makes two of us." He said in annoyance making me turn my head to glare at him.

"Why are we even out here anyway?" I ask in confusion as we stopped at a fruit stand.
"To make sure that the rebels, successfully carry out their plan…or at least our sector of the plan." He explained picking up a piece of fruit.

"And what was that?" I ask.

Just as I asked my question, and explosion went off behind us, making the two of us turn around.

"That." Alex confirmed with a nod, making me smile slightly.

"We should probably head back then." I explained and he agreed.

We both discretely and unsuspiciously headed back to the meeting place, where we'd be meeting the others. It was in some kind of dark abandoned building. Once we walked in, Alex and I both let the hoods of our jackets fall off of us, so everyone could see who we were…even though they probably already knew. We both leaned against one of the back walls as we waited for the others. Once the others arrived, the meeting began.

"Your success will not go unnoticed." Anakin began in which some of the Rebels cheered in joy at the comment.

"I agree." Obi-Wan began. "But we need to be mindful of public perception. What was your observation, Padawan?"

Everyone turned towards Ahsoka.

"The people were fearful, Master." Ahsoka explained.

Obi-Wan nodded. "Indeed. Judging from the reactions I saw today, I'm afraid that they'll mistake your intentions."

Saw rolled his eyes. "We need to do more damage. A few dozen broken-down droids will do little to free Onderon."

"But you don't want to lose anymore support from those not believing or following your cause." I explained making all eyes turn to me. "Having the people live in fear is not the best thing to do in these times, believe me, I know."

"When did you turn political?" Anakin asked in disbelief.

I shrugged. "I was raised in a palace, and basically brought up on the idea that I will become the face for neutrality."

"I agree with Kryze." Steela began. "The people need to believe we can succeed. Without their support, our efforts are meaningless."

"If they're afraid, they won't support us. We need to assure them of our intetions." Lux also said in agreement.

"I don't understand." Saw began. "Why are they afraid?"

"They're afraid, you aren't strong enough to win." Alex explained. "You need to earn their trust."

Anakin nodded. "You'll have plenty of time to earn their trust. All of you are going to be very busy."

"Today was only a taste." Rex explained who was silent this whole time. "You'll get your chance."

"In the meantime," Obi-Wan began. "Make the most of your victories. Welcome, and learn from them."

"Perhaps if we hit something big, gave them a show of strength, they will overcome their fear and join us." Lux began.

"Do you have something in mind?" Ahsoka asked with curiosity.

Lux nodded. "I know the perfect target."

While the rebels began to discuss what they were going to do, the six of us stepped outside for a quick conversation.

"I think they're ready to give the 501st some competition." Anakin said with a proud smirk.

Rex frowned. "Let's not get carried away, General. Thought, these rebels have impressed me."

"We will share the developments with the Jedi Council. Ahsoka will remain here as an advisor. Monitor them, and report back with their progress." Obi-Wan instructed Ahsoka.

"What about me?" I asked.

"I need you to come back to Coruscant." He explained pulling Alex and I away from the other three.

I frowned slightly in confusion. "Why? I thought I was to stay here and help train them?"

He nodded. "Yes, you originally were. Once Master Yoda found out you were coming with us, he requested for you to come back to Coruscant as soon as possible…he wants to speak with you."

"Great." I said with an eyeroll. "The green guy wants to preach to me…gives me a change considering you're the one who usually lectures me."

He sighed. "Aurora, don't fight me on this."

"Who's going to stay with Ahsoka?" I asked in annoyance.

"I'll stay with her." Alex interjected. "I'll make sure nothing happens to her."

"Then it's settled." Obi-Wan explained before turning his attention back to the rest of the group.

I pulled Alex aside.

"Are you insane? Alex, you know nothing about how these Jedi operate. What if you get killed?" I asked him in disbelief.

"Then I'll haunt you for all eternity." He said with a laugh making me groan in disgust.

I was about to turn away, before he took both of my hands in his.

"Ro, I'll be fine. I know how to handle myself, and based on what I've seen Ahsoka do, I'm sure she can handle herself." He explained.

I was about to reply but I was interrupted by Anakin's voice.

"You coming, Ro?" Anakin asked.

I looked over Alex one more time before I engulfed him into a hug.

"Take care of my sister." I explained.

"I will." He replied, knowing I meant Ahsoka.

"Don't die on me." I whispered as I pulled away.

He nodded as I put the hood on my jacket back up to cover my head as I practically ran to catch up with the rest of the group. I said nothing from the time we left Iziz, all the way to the point where we got on the shuttle. I was angry that I had to leave the person I considered my immediate family, and the other person who was the closest thing I had to a best-friend were going to be having the time of their lives being on the front lines of a fire fight, while I'm going to get lectured as to why I was not brought to Coruscant as a baby to be raised by a little green guy, who doesn't speak grammatically correct.

Once on Coruscant, I was instructed to find Master Yoda in one of the training rooms. I walked through the various hallways and corridors, and eventually found the training room they told me he was in. I opened the door and saw the little green guy with his back turned towards me.

"Princess." He began. "Come in, you must. Much to discuss, we have."

I walked in cautiously, unknowing what was going to occur.

"Why did you call me here? I was on Onderon, helping to train the Rebels." I explained.

"Proud of them, do you feel?" He asked finally turning around to look me in the eyes.

I shrugged. "I guess."

"Guess, you do?" He questioned before motioning for me to sit with his cane. I obliged willingly. "Confident in yourself, you are not."

I sighed in frustration. "Why did you want to see me so urgently? It must be important, considering Obi-Wan isn't here, and he's the one usually giving me lectures."

"Worried, I am for you. Turn to the Darkside, I fear you might." He explained.

My eyebrows shot up straight to my hairline. "What?"

"A darkside, you have. Your true colors, it has shown us." He continued.

"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion.

"True to kill Obi-Wan, you did. Murdered Sobeck, you succeeded." He explained.

I tilted my head to the side. "I almost killed Obi-Wan because I didn't know he was Hardeen, and I killed Sobeck, because he literally tried to kill all of us when we were getting out of the Citadel. I did it out of protection."

"Protection, hmm?" Yoda asked. "Or anger, it was out of?"

I was silent.

"A strong presence of anger and sadness, there is. Be cautious with your powers, you must be. Impact your future, it might." He explained. "Go, you must."

I sighed before walking out of the training room. Directly outside was the one person who probably orchestrated this, Obi-Wan.

"How did it go?" He asked, as he walked alongside me.

"Did you put me up to this?" I asked in annoyance.

"I didn't. He wanted to speak with you himself." He explained.

"It doesn't matter now; it just doesn't make sense." I explained.

"How so?" He asked.

I stopped in my tracks and turned to face him. "He said that I have a 'Darkside', that comes out at certain points. He says I am filled with anger and sadness, and that I need to be cautious."

Obi-Wan sighed. "I was afraid it would come to this."

"Wait, what do you mean? You knew I was filled with anger?" I asked in disbelief.

He looked down the corridor to make sure no one was there before continuing the conversation.

"The entire Jedi Council is concerned about how your powers are growing. They are intrigued as to why you have these powers in the first place, along with how you and your brother have something blocking from using your full potential. Because the Council couldn't sense you as an infant or child, you grew up years without proper training, which have led you to be able to not control your powers as an adult. The 'Darkside' Master Yoda is speaking about, is almost a side-effect of your powers. Because you weren't trained properly on how to use and handle them, you can tap into both sides of the force…which hasn't been seen in Jedi in many centuries." He explained.

"Were there Jedi that could do it before me?" I asked.

He motioned for me to follow him down the corridor. We were silent the whole time as we walked through various hallways. It didn't take me long to realize that we were heading toward the archives. Once there, he sat down across from me at a table.

"To answer your question, yes and no. As for Mandalorian Jedi, there was none who could tap into both sides…there was only one Mandalorian Jedi anyways." He explained.

"Tarre Vizsla." I interjected.

He nodded. "You know of him them?"

I leaned back and crossed my arms. "Of course, he forged the Darksaber. How could I not know about him."

He nodded. "I'm sure. There are very few Mandalorian's that would be considered for the order…if we had known about you and your brother sooner…perhaps we could've prevented you from taping in to both sides, but then again, the fact that you can use both sides of the force, can indicate how powerful you really are."

"The Father." I quietly interjected.

"Who?" He asked.

"The Father." I explained. "When we were on Mortis, the father revealed to me that I possess abilities that haven't been seen in thousands of years. He said that Korkie is just as, if not more powerful than I am…I don't know if he'd be more powerful in both sides of the force though."

Obi-Wan shook his head. "No. From seeing your brother, and sensing a small presence of him recently, I sense only light. You on the other hand…I sense, a large range of emotions, which I can assume is from your time in Death Watch."

I shrugged. "Probably."

"Do you know as to why your mother kept you and your brother hidden?" He asked.

I shook my head. "I haven't even told her I know Korkie is my brother. She probably did it to protect us from the order from taking us…considering our father died."

He nodded, but I could tell he was deep in thought. He was wondering as to why my mother did it as well.

"What would it take for your mother to allow you and your brother to come here to learn how to handle your powers?" He asked.

I rolled my eyes. "It won't work no matter what you say or do. She won't let me go, let alone my brother."

"She knows you both are powerful, when did she become so overprotective of you?" He asked in curiosity.

"When I was kidnapped as a baby." I explained. "I don't know if she told you, but I was taken to Utapau, and two Jedi brought me back to her. Ever since then, she's been concerned for my well-being."

He nodded again, but once again, he became silent and in thought. It's like he was trying to get a read on my mother's mind, even though she was halfway across the galaxy.

"Well with all due respect," I began snapping him out of his thoughts. "She kind of hates you guys."

"She didn't always." He said with a small smile. "You remind me a lot of her."

I tilted my head to the side. "Why because I look like her? Because I sure as hell don't act like her."

He sighed. "No. While you do look like her, you have the same tendencies she does. Becoming annoyed when things don't go your way, becoming angry when your morals are questioned, always standing your ground…you are going to make a great Duchess Aurora."

I gave him a small smile. "Thanks."

In the back of my mind, I knew I should be on Onderon, helping to take back the planet. But here's the thing. Based upon the last two conversations I just had, I'm not leaving this archive until I get some answers. Even if it means, after all these years, I finally tell my mother that I'm a former war criminal.
