Chapter 1
Edenia, a lush and fertile world filled with life that resembled the fable Garden of Eden. Serene atmosphere, ideal weather, and mesmerizing landmarks. Its inhabitants, Edenians are direct descendants of the Elder Gods, and, therefore, are known for their outstanding beauty, possess much greater affinities of magic, and have a much longer life expectancy. Proof of this was their princess, Kitana who despite being 10,000 years old, appears to be only in her mid-twenties.
Edenia is also a feudal monarchy ruled by Queen Sindel, and her daughter Princess Kitana.
Queen Sindel who with help from the allies of Earthrealm did battle with Shao Kahn after breaking free of his control and slew him as punishment for the suffering he brought upon her and millions of others throughout the realms. She dissolved the sorcery that bound Edenia with Outworld and began restoring her realm to its former glory. The many races of Outworld were impressed. Not only had Sindel defeated Shao Kahn, but she had shown great leadership in chaotic times. They willingly offered her their allegiance. Under Sindel's governance, the realm of Edenia flourished into the beauty it was before the tyrant immortal's reign.
With Shao Kahn dead, Ermac was no longer bound to him. Anarchy erupted within Ermac as the many warrior souls that comprised his being struggled for dominance. Only one had the strength of will to quiet the chaos. The conflict resolved, Ermac traveled to Edenia, determined to reunite with his past. Queen Sindel and Princess Kitana were shocked to learn the truth: that trapped among the many spirits within Ermac was their husband and father, King Jerrod. Though he would never be the Jerrod they once knew, Ermac would forever serve and protect his queen, his princess, and the Edenian people.
With the death of Shao Kahn, Kitana had discovered the truth about Mileena...but rather than slay her, she took pity on her half-sister. She offered Mileena a home within the Edenian aristocracy. She was, after all, of royal blood. Mileena cautiously accepted her sister's invitation. With Mileena and Jade at her side, Kitana formed a fighting force dedicated to bringing justice to the realms. Never again would a warlord arise to create such terror.
Queen Sindel had also been teaching Mileena on how to be a good leader so she could lead the people of Outworld to peace but only on the condition that she would not attack Edenia or Earthrealm which Mileena agreed to.
It was good that Mileena had agreed because not all races of Outwould wanted peace after Shao Kahn's defeat, a civil war broke out between two factions. One faction led by Shang Tsung, Reiko, Kollector, Rain, Tanya, and Prince Goro who along with other Shokan did not want to pledge their allegiance to Queen Sindel and split from Sheeva and her forces. And then there was the faction led by Kotal Kahn, Reptile, D'Vorah, Erron Black, Ferra/Torr, Motaro and the Centaur race all fighting for the right to rule Outworld.
Kotal claimed that Mileena was a lab grown abomination with no right to Outworld's throne and saw himself as the next Kahn of Outworld, but he would not strike at Mileena so long as she is in Edenia under Sindel's protection.
After the battle of the tenth Mortal Kombat Tournament and the threat of Shao Kahn no more, Liu Kang passed the title and responsibility of Earthrealm champion to his friend Kung Lao so he could pursue a relationship with Kitana. The two had fallen in love on Shang Tsung's island when they fought and afterwards Liu would ask Kitana to be his wife. Sindel was pleased that her daughter had found someone to share her life with and with her blessing, proclaimed the Earthrealmer as the new Prince Regent of Edenia and future King.
Raiden was not quite as pleased as the Queen but relented.
Liu Kang and Kitana were formally wed by the latter's mother, Sindel as the Queen performed the ceremony watched by Raiden, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, Jackson 'Jax' Briggs, Kung Lao, Bo'Rai Cho, Jade, Mileena, Ermac, Sub-Zero, Cyrax, Smoke, Scorpion, Sheeva, Baraka, Nightwolf, and Fujin who soon took the position as Earthrealms protector now vacated by Raiden after the Thunder God became an Elder God.
With the help of Earthrealm, Liu and the royal family had not only begun rebuilding Edenia but had also built homes for the Shokan and Tarkatan people who joined Edenia to escape the Outworld civil war.
Several years later Kitana would give birth to twins, a son and daughter. Sindel was overjoyed at having grandchildren while Liu still could not believe he was a father until he held his infant son in his arms. He saw his own face in the small life he held, but with his wife's eyes. His son, Chow Kang and his daughter, Lin Kang.
The Edenian people celebrated the birth of the new prince and princess and wished the new parents well.
The Tarkatan people also celebrated because Baraka and Mileena were also expecting a child. At first, Mileena wanted nothing to do with Baraka, but after some encouragement from her mother, she gave him a chance. Turns out Baraka could be charming when he wanted to, as far as Tarkatans go. Still, Mileena would not simply let Baraka claim her without first proving himself. The two engaged in kombat which ultimately ended in a draw but showed both fighters their skill, determination, and heart to each other. Baraka may not have won the fight, but he did win Mileena's love. A love that would soon bear fruit.
But right now, another birth was happening.
But this one was special. It was from the union of an Edenian and a god?
Edenian Palace, Hall of Healing
.
Jade had been many things in her long Edenian life. She was the childhood best friend of Kitana, her bodyguard, Shao Khans assassin, a resistance fighter, general of Edenia's armies. Now she was about to become a mother.
Jade laid on the healer's bed, clad in a white robe and clutching the hands of both her lovers. Her face was flushed due to the beads of sweat on her skin and the salty tears that had fallen from her eyes. Despite having been given tea made of various herbs and roots that were supposed to relieve some of the pain in her belly and pelvis, Jade continued to cry out and scream due to the agony brought on by childbirth that had started hours earlier as the midwife settled between her legs, ready to help with the delivery.
To her left side, her lover stood trying to ease Jade's pain as she gave birth to her child. She is an alluring and beautiful tall young-looking woman with a beautiful but deathly pale face. Her hair was dark and long, floating and curling as if it were weightless. Her eyes were multicolored. She wore a dress that billowed around her like smoke that shimmered with colors and flower patterns which changed and bloomed into roses, tulips, and honeysuckle. She also wore a gold floral wedding ring with a black diamond. This is Persephone, Goddess of Springtime and Vegetation and Queen of the Underworld.
On Jade's right stood a very tall, imposing and very muscular man with albino white skin, intense black eyes, and shoulder-length black hair, with bangs covering most of his forehead. The man wore black flowing robes held by white rope and pitch-black boots. Like Persephone, he wore a wedding ring of black gold. The man is known as Hades, God of the Dead and Riches, Lord of the Underworld, Husband of Persephone, and the father of Jade's child.
You may be wondering why Hades and Persephone, two Olympians of Earthrealm are in Edenia.
Contrary to popular belief, Selene the titaness of the moon did not fade due to lack of faith caused by the Romans. During Shao Khans reign, Selene had ventured into Edenia shortly after it was absorbed into Outworld and was captured. Because gods and titans were weak outside their own realm,(1) she eventually fell, but not before killing one of the Emperor's Generals. For a long time, Shao Kahn tortured and 'played' with Selene until he eventually grew tired of her and gave her to his forces before she died.
It was because of this that the Elder Gods had forbidden Earthrealm deities from venturing outside their realm unless they had permission.
With the threat of Shao Khan passed, Hades decided to take Persephone on a vacation and traveled to Edenia with the blessing of the Elder Gods. Honestly, they needed it, with Hades tired of his family's bickering and Persephone tired of her mother's controlling, overprotective nature and constant nagging and criticizing of her husband.
So, the two split their essence apart, leaving copies of themselves to handle their affairs and avoid suspicion while they enjoyed their vacation.
Both were amazed at the majestic beauty Edenia held. Crystal clear waters, abundant forests filled with life, not like the decaying forests and polluted waters of Earthrealm.
The couple were also impressed with the natural beauty the Edenian people possessed. Some were easily on par with Aphrodite, who was the personification of beauty itself, without even trying. The brutal species of warriors known as Tarkatans could easily pass as a creation of Ares and the mighty race of half-human, half-dragon warriors called Shokans looked like they could give the cyclops's a run for their money.
Venturing into the city of Zhu Zin with a pouch of drachma and precious gems, the rulers of the Underworld marveled at the different stands selling weapons, food, clothing, and accessories.
It was when the goddess was marveling at a beautifully crafted bracelet that a thief tried to snatch her pouch. Key word being "tried" with Hades sending a kick to the midsection as a reward, sending the thief scurrying away. But the thief later returned with three others. The looks they had made their intentions very clear and while Hades couldn't simply make them burst into flames, he had picked up a few things in his long life.
That was how Jade met Hades and Persephone. The four thieves had been causing trouble in Zhu Zin for several months and had always eluded capture. When Jade approached with a squad of guards. She was surprised to find the four lying on the ground, groaning in pain. One had a broken nose and a concussion, another with a shattered elbow and kneecap, the last two had various bruises and broken ribs.
When Persephone saw Jade, she got lost in her emerald eyes. Though she swore to be forever faithful to her husband, she couldn't deny that the woman before her was perhaps the most beautiful woman she ever laid eyes upon.
Long, glossy black hair tied in a ponytail that fell down her back. A soft face with full lips and eyes of jeweled emerald. Her eyes shone with strength and confidence. As she should, as her body was impressive, and her clothes left little to the imagination. Her breasts were large and sensual with an hourglass waist and a trimmed, toned stomach and thighs, a mix of sensual femininity and raw power that was acutely balanced. The clothing the woman wore was borderline scantly compared to women of Earthrealm.
Black knee-high boots with gold accents held and supported her long legs while showing off the caramel flesh of her muscular thighs. On the knees of the boots were two emeralds. On her arms were two elbow length black/green fingerless hand guards. A golden armguard encircled her right bicep. Her ample chest and her upper body were barely concealed within her green sleeveless leotard. The leotard hugged her every curve like it was painted on her. The leotard had a large V shape cut starting from below her belly button up to her neck, showing off her smooth, toned belly, her breasts barely contained by the fabric. The V was kept together by black lacing which crisscrossed the gap. The leotard was also backless, showing off more of her caramel skin. A green loincloth hung between her legs that stopped at her knees. Finally, two golden chains dangled on both her thighs connected at the waist and back. Her caramel-colored skin accentuated the deep green, black, and gold colors of her kombat attire. Finally, a small staff handle, and a folded tri-blade were holstered at her sides.
This Edenian warrior was beyond beautiful. Exquisite even.
Looking at her husband, the goddess could see that Hades was also taken by her beauty, not that she could blame him.
After having the guards take the thieves away, Jade approached the immortal couple. Their presence did not go unnoticed and Sindel had sent the emerald warrior to retrieve them.
The two agreed since they were strangers in a new realm.
Jade led them out of the city across a large stone bridge that connected the city to the Grand Palace of Edenia where the royal family lived.
The palace was built on a large cliff that lay before an enormous waterfall and surrounded by forests on both sides. The water split into seven small streams that run through the palace and off the cliff. Fountains and statues decorated the garden courtyard. The palace itself was as grand as the palace of Olympus.
Entering the throne room, the Olympian couple met with Queen Sindel and Princess Kitana, along with their guards and consort, Ermac, Sheeva, and Liu Kang.
Hades explained how he and his wife were tired of their family problems. From his brother's fights to Demeter's nagging. How he can hardly stand the ghostly wails of the dead. He wanted to take Persephone someplace where the gods influence was minimal or flat out didn't exist. Edenia was the perfect place to escape his family and take his wife on vacation.
The queen granted their stay, so long as they don't cause trouble. Even granting them their own suite in the palace.
After a year of living in Edenia, Hades and Persephone could say it was the best year of their lives. To experience another realms cultures and traditions was a wonderful experience for the Greek couple.
Persephone fell in love with the gardens at the palace. The flora of Edenia was completely different and unique compared to her garden in the Underworld. When having tea with Queen Sindel, Persephone asked if she could have some seeds and potted plants for her garden. Sindel agreed since she was fond of her fellow queen's company.
Hades enjoyed the peace Edenia reveled in. No ghostly wails, no family nagging, not even Charon's constant pleas for a raise. In Endenia, he was not an Olympian god, not the horrible being his family made him out to be. He was just Hades, a man enjoying a vacation with his wife.
During their vacation, Hades would spar with Liu, Kitana, Ermac, and Jade. Being lord of the dead, Hades summoned some of the greatest martial artists to teach him how to fight over the millennia. Thanks to the various masters that resided in Elysium, Hades became an accomplished fighter in Karate, Krav Maga, Muay Thai, Silat, Baji Quan, and Wing Chun.
It was during their sparring sessions Jade and Hades would flirt with each other, exchanging witty banter as they sparred.
The goddess could see that the Edenian woman had fallen for her husband. When they were having tea, Jade confessed to Persephone her feelings but didn't want Hades to know because he was a married man and didn't want to tempt him to be unfaithful.
After her confession, Persephone called Jade into their chambers late one night and explained to Hades of Jades feelings for him. To their great surprise, she was fine with it. She even admitted to having feelings for Jade that bloomed in the short time she spent with her.
What happened next would forever be engraved in Hades brain, his wife pulled Jade close and kissed her full on the lips. The Edenian was frozen as she was kissed by the goddess.
When they separated, the queen proposed the three of them enter a three-way relationship. They of course were reluctant, but after an explanation and some coaxing from Persephone, she eventually found herself in bed with her husband and Edenian lover. It was a night they would never forget.
After more passionate nights with the Earthrealm couple, Jade found herself pregnant.
The Edenian felt many things when she learned of her condition. Confusion, shock, happiness, joy. She was going to be a mother; a baby was growing within her womb.
Hades felt conflicted. He was excited to be a father but at the same time he fathered another child with a woman other than his wife.
Persephone was also conflicted. She loved her husband dearly, even gave him three children (2). She always felt hurt and betrayed when he had demigod children, but his faithlessness only came from his loneliness. Still, she realized she couldn't be upset with Jade's pregnancy as it was kind of her fault.
After nine long months of pregnancy, it was time.
The midwife gently lifted one of Jade's legs. She gave her one final check and then nodded.
"My lady, you are ready to deliver the little one now. It won't be long now." Said the midwife as Hades and Persephone were anxious to meet the child.
"You're doing great…" Persephone whispered to her lover as the grip on her hand increased. "Just a little longer."
Hades winced as Jade gave a scream and squeezed his hand tighter as she struggled to push the child out.
"No…no more…I can't." Jade said between breaths.
"Yes you can Jade. Just a few more pushes and our child will be here." Hades coaxed her.
Jade took a few more deep breaths and started pushing again. "Ahhh! Argus this hurts!"
"The head's coming out." The midwife said loudly. "Just one more push my lady."
With one final deep breath, Jade pushed and screamed. The pain in her pelvis increased as a small mass slid out. Silence followed for what seemed like an eternity before the unmistakable wails of a baby's cries filled the room.
Hades and Persephone whipped their heads to the midwife who leaned away after cutting the cord to clean the newborn. Moments later she returned with a white cloth bundled in her arms.
"Congratulations Lady Jade." the midwife said. "It is a boy."
Arms outstretched, Jade eagerly received her child, her son, in her arms. The infant had stopped crying as soon as he entered his mother's embrace and just stared at his mother with curious emerald green eyes. My eyes. she thought. The Olympian couple leaned over and took in the sight the baby boy. The boy had inherited Hades' lighter skin tone in contrast to his mother's darker caramel one but that was where the similarities of father and son ended. He had a tuft of black hair on his head though it was hard to tell which parent he got it from since both Jade and Hades have dark, black hair. His facial features were clearly inherited from his mother, his nose, cheeks, chin, ears, even his eye shaped was like Jade's. All in all, he was a very beautiful baby.
Persephone gently slipped the neckline of her robe down her arm, exposing her breast while the midwife left. The mother guided the newborn infant down and positioned him close. When Jade gently caressed his face, the newborn's instincts kicked in and he latched onto his mother's nipple, suckling his first meal.
After several moments of peace, Persephone asked the question. "What will you name him?"
As her son continued feeding, Jade looked at Hades who had a warm smile on his face as he answered. "Alexander. His name will be Alexander."
Timeskip 7 months
.
It has been seven months since his son was born and those seven months were the best of Hades long life. His relationship with his wife had grown, the past two years had been the most peaceful he'd experience (3), and he helped Jade raise their son. But as always, all good things must come to an end.
Due to the ancient laws, Gods were forbidden from raising their demigod children and Hades was pushing the limit at seven months.
Hades and Persephone were getting ready to leave. They had responsibilities back in Earthrealm that they couldn't ignore any longer. The problem was Hades wanted Jade and Alexander to come with them.
Cradling Alexander while he played with her finger, Persephone watched the exchange between her husband and lover.
"Please Jade, come to the Underworld with us. I can keep you safe from my family. You will have a solid emerald palace next to the river Styx and servants to cater to your every whim."
Jade sighed. Hades had been trying for several days now to convince her to come to Earthrealm to raise Alex in the Underworld and to be close to him and Persephone.
Deciding to end the argument, the goddess cleared her throat, getting their attention before speaking. "Love, you cannot ask Jade to abandon her duties to Edenia anymore then her asking us to abandon ours in Earthrealm."
"But we…" "No Hades." Jade interrupted. The beautiful Edenian gently took her son from the goddess into her arms. Curious young eyes traveled from his step-mother to his mother.
"I want more than anything to stay with you and Persephone, but I cannot abandon my duties to my realm. Would you really want your son to grow up among the dead in the Underworld?"
Hades paused. He really wanted Jade and their son to come to the Underworld but the more he thought about it the more he realized they were safer here in Edenia. Once Zeus found that he had broken his oath, he would do all he could to kill his son.
Paranoid as he was, even Zeus wasn't stupid enough to invade another realm just to kill one demigod…not after the last punishment the Elder Gods dealt to him. (4)
Placing a hand gently on his son's forehead, Hades addressed Jade. "You're right. It would be better if he remained here in Edenia." He placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. "With his mother."
Jade smiled as a portal opened behind the Olympian couple. They both looked one last time at Jade before entering the portal, returning to Earthrealm.
Looking down at her son who slept in her arms, Jade placed a kiss on the crown of his head and laid him in his crib as she wondered what the future held for him.
Hello all. Anime-Arch-Angel. I hope you all had a very merry Christmas, happy holidays, and have a great New Year. I am ending 2022 with a new story. A crossover with Percy Jackson and Mortal Kombat. Inspired by 'Son of the Huntress' series by SoulReaperCrewe and 'Daughter of the Queen and the Ghost' by windstorm16. This is my version of a child of a god from a different franchise in Percy Jackson Universe. In this story, Hades has a child in the Mortal Kombat universe. I thought of using Artemis, Hera, or Poseidon but in the end I decided to use Hades.
The Mortal Kombat universe in this story follows the MK9(2011) ending of Sindel, Ermac, and Kitana. Edenia is free from Outworld, Kitana has accepted Mileena as her sister, and Lui Kang has married Kitana.
Kitana, Mileena, and Jade will all have children who will grow up with Cassie Cage and Jacqui Briggs as their friends.
Sindel's massacre of several fighters never happened, as such Jax Briggs does not have ptsd and is not an emotional wreck. The Briggs family will live in California close to the Cage/Blade family.
Now there is something I want to make clear. THERE IS NO KRONIKA! I find her to be completely stupid and un-necessary. This is my story and there is no "all powerful titan-goddess of Time". The hierarchy order is the One Being, Elder Gods, Gods and Immortals, Demigods, Monsters and Demons, and finally Mortals.
(1) Earthrealm deities not associated with the Elder Gods are weaker in other realms. This nerf is because without it, they can just wave their hand and kill anyone. Fuijin is an exception since he serves the Elder Gods.
(2) In mythology, Persephone as given Hades 3 children named Zagreus, Makaria, and Melinoe. Rick Roadian only introduced Melinoe in The Sword of Hades.
(3) Time passes differently in Edenia. One year in Earth could potentially be 50 or 100 years in Edenia. Despite looking 25, Kitana is over 10,000 years.
(4) Zeus's punishment by the Elder Gods will be revealed in a later chapter
Now here is some info for my OCs.
Name: Alexander
Father: Hades. Mother: Jade
Name: Calla (Greek for beautiful)
Father: Baraka, Mother: Mileena
Name: Chow Kang
Father: Lui Kang, Mother: Kitana, Twin-Sister: Lin Kang
Name: Lin Kang
Father: Lui Kang, Mother: Kitana, Twin-Brother: Chow Kang
Now one final announcement. My version of Sindel is the one we should have gotten. Unfortunately Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon retcon Sindel making her an evil power hungry backstabbing witch from the start. Completely destroying years of lore. For god's sake in MK: Aftermath she basically told Johnny Cage he was going to rape/breed Sonya for "many fine slaves". She even killed Jarrod and Jade in her MK11 Ending. Sindel is actually one of my favorite fighters in the Mortal Kombat franchise and I was disappointed at what Boon did to her. The rest of the MK11 team was against it but Boon didn't listen. Boon may have given the world Mortal Kombat but over the years he's become a stupid and completely idiotic. Hopefully he'll clean up his shit with MK12.
