Cast Out Part 2
At Outcast Island, Dagur had Stoick tied up in the arena as prisoner
"I trust you're finding your commendations adequate" Dague said but Stoick just glared at him as answer "Those ropes look awfully tight"
Then, he gestured to an Outcast who walked towards Stoick and made the ropes tighter than before
"Don't go getting too cosy, Stoick. Look at it this way: by sundown tomorrow you'll be either be back on Berk or at the bottom of the ocean. It's really all up to Hiccup" Dagur said
Once again, Stoick didn't say anything, he just continued to glare at Dagur
"Savage, deliver this ultimatum to Berk" Dagur ordered as he pulled out a scroll and gave it to Savage
Meanwhile at Berk, all of the Vikings were at the Great Hall yelling angrily at Gobber who was trying to calm them down
Then, Hiccup, Astrid and Blake entered the Great Hall where they quickly found the twins yelling with the other Vikings
"What is this?! Tell us the truth!" Ruffnut yelled
"Yeah!" Tuffnut yelled
"Enough of this!" Ruffnut yelled
"What is going on?" Hiccup asked
"I have no idea, but everyone's shouting and I'm totally into that!" Tuffnut yelled
"Next time at least know why everyone's yelling" Blake said with a yawn
"Are you okay? You've yawned a lot in just a few minutes" Astrid said
"I'm fine, I just didn't sleep much because I was trying to find a way to safely enter Outcast Island" Blake said
"And were you able to find one?" Hiccup asked
"Not yet, but there's still some spots I need to check" Blake said just as Gobber made his way through the crowd of Vikings
"Everyone settle down, Hiccup will answer all your questions!" Gobber said as he took Hiccup to the front
"Why him?!" Snotlout yelled
"He's the acting chief, that's why" Gobber explained before whispering to Hiccup "They're all yours"
"Great" Hiccup muttered as he gave a step forward
"What are we going to do?!" a Viking immediately asked
"Where's Stoick?!" another Viking asked
"When can we start yelling again?!" Tuffnut asked, so the crowd began to yell and shake their fists
"Good questions… mostly" Hiccup said glaring slightly at Tuffnut "Uh… as you all know Berk is no stranger to hard times, this the best thing is to-"
"Take arms!" a Viking interrupted
"Arm the catapults!" another yelled
Snotlout walked to the front and shoved Hiccup away "Why don't you step aside and watch a real chief in action" Snotlout said before snapping his fingers "Hookfang?"
Hookfang jumped behind his rider and ignited himself up, so all of the Vikings stopped yelling
"That's better" Snotlout said as he turned around but he didn't notice his pants were on fire "Now, how it's going to go-"
"You are in fire, Snotlout!" Tuffnut yelled before he and all of the Vikings laughed
Snotlout looked behind and realized it was true, so he began to run around as he screamed until Gobber grabbed him and dumped him in a bucket of water
"Okay, that was a good way to calm things a bit" Blake chuckled
"Totally" Astrid agreed
"Good, so… where were we?" Hiccup asked facing back at the crowd of Vikings
"You were about to tell them that they have nothing to worry about" Astrid said
Hiccup just rolled his eyes knowing that it wasn't true but he didn't have a choice either
"Alright, people, you have nothing to worry about, everything is under control" Hiccup said
There was a moment of silence but the Vikings began to yell and shake their fists once again
"That went much better in my head" Astrid said
"Well, it also could've gone a lot worse" Blake said
Meanwhile with Fishlegs, he and Meatlug were flying above the ocean doing a patrol
"Huh, no sign of Berserker boats" Fishlegs said before looking at Meatlug "We should head back and let Hiccup know"
Suddenly, Fishlegs saw how a sea stack began to shake, so he hid behind another one and seconds later emerged from the sea and flew away
"Uh oh… that is not good" Fishlegs said before flying back to Berk
Back at Berk, Hiccup was in his house walking around in company of Toothless. He walked towards the table where Stoick's axe was and picked it up
Suddenly, Gobber, Blake and Thunder entered the house
"Blake, were you able to find a safe way to enter Outcast Island?" Hiccup asked
"Sorry, but I couldn't" Blake said as he walked towards the table and unwrapping a scroll, it was a map of Outcast Island with a lot of "X" all over it "All of the safe spots I know from where we could enter, involve flying above the island and Dagur is obviously expecting us to fly there"
"What should I do now? I need to find a way to safe my father and do all the chiefing while he's gone" Hiccup sighed
"You know, Hiccup, there's nothing easy about chiefing. You should have seen Stoick when he first took over, he was like a new born yak trying to find his feet" Gobber said tossing one fish to Toothless and Thunder
"I find that hard to believe" Hiccup said
"It's true. In fact, there were some in this town that didn't think he had it in him… like Alvin for example" Gobber said
"Hiccup, I've known you for a long time now and I've seen you grow in all that time" Blake said placing a hand on Hiccup's shoulder "You passed from being someone who's dream was to kill a dragon to be the first and best dragon rider and I know you have what it takes to be chief"
"Sometimes you just have to deal with the Alvins and Snotlouts of the world" Gobber said
"I feel like that's all I do" Hiccup said
"They were best friends, you know?" Gobber said
"Who?" Hiccup asked
"Alvin and Stoick, they were inseparable since birth, just like you two now" Gobber said
"That's… kind of… uh… scary" Blake said rubbing the back of his head
"Don't worry, I know the story won't repeat itself with you, Blake" Gobber said
"Hiccup!" a voice yelled, it was Fishlegs who busted in and panted for breath "Screaming… coming"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, take a breath there, Fishlegs" Hiccup said
"I was out on patrol with Meatlug… the Screaming Death… we saw it" Fishlegs said "It's eating its way to Berk!"
They quickly ran outside to see if the Screaming Death was close
"How much time to we have?" Hiccup said
"Not much, it was just off Dragon Island when we saw it" Fishlegs said
Suddenly, Astrid landed next to them and got off Stormfly's back
"This came for you, it's from Dagur" she said as she gave Hiccup a scroll
"And it just keeps coming" Hiccup said
"Yeah, this day gets better at every second" Blake said sarcastically
"Well, what does it say?" Astrid asked
"We have until tonight to deliver Toothless and Thunder or my father will…" Hiccup stopped and threw the scroll on the ground
"It's a trap, you know that" Astrid said "If we fly anywhere near Outcast Island-"
"Listen, you guys get Snotlout and the twins, tell them to be ready for the Screaming Death" Hiccup interrupted
"What about your father?" Astrid asked
"Blake and I will handle that" Hiccup said
Moments later, Hiccup and Blake walked into the academy where Alvin was locked up in a pen
"So, how did the town meeting go?" Alvin asked looking at Hiccup "Sounds like you had them in the palm of your hand"
"Never mind that, Alvin" Hiccup said as he opened the door, so Alvin walked out of it
"Well, this is awkward… do I stay? Do I go?" he asked
"Both" Hiccup said confusing Alvin "You're going to show us a way into Outcast Island, we're going there, Alvin, and we're going to bring my father home"
Alvin just smiled but he stopped when Blake pointed his spear at him
"However, I'm still warning you, if you give me a reason to suspect that you'll betray us you won't have to worry about making things right because I'll make sure your life ends in that moment, got it?" Blake asked angrily
"Got it" Alvin said with a sigh
Later that say, they were flying towards Outcast Island, Alvin was riding Toothless with Hiccup while Blake and Thunder flew behind in order to keep an eye on Alvin
Of course, since it was Alvin's first time riding a dragon, he was kinda nervous, so he squeezed Hiccup's shoulders
"You… mind loosening up that death grip a little bit?" Hiccup asked in pain
"Sorry, they all tend to be death grips" Alvin said even though he didn't sound like he was sorry, so Toothless hit him on the head with his wings
"Toothless, no" Hiccup scolded but he gave him a small smile
Thunder didn't want to be left behind, so he was getting ready to shot Alvin a lightning blast
"Thunder!" Blake scolded his dragon, so he grunted and looked away angrily
"So… word on the street is you and my father used to be best friends" Hiccup said
"That was a long time ago" Alvin muttered
"Your father and I were young Vikings charged with defending Berk during the Dragon wars" Alving explained "Stoick was the chief's son, so he was in command, I was just a soldier… sounds familiar?"
"It does, sounds like me and Snotlout" Hiccup said
"Well, there was this Monstrous Nightmare attack one night, your father and I disagreed on how to defend the village. I… uh… disobeyed orders and… there were a few… injuries" Alvin said "Things were never the same after that. When Stoick became chief, it was only a matter of time before he banished me"
Hiccup couldn't help but to look slightly at Blake who was unaware of the conversation
"But what about Blake? Why did involved him in your grudge? And what happened to his mother?" Hiccup asked
Alvin's eyes widened with that question not expecting that question
"That's none of your business, boy" Alvin said just before Blake flew next to them
"Hey, in case you haven't noticed, we're getting close to Outcast Island" he said
Hiccup and Alvin looked forward and realized they were starting to get close to Outcast Island
"Let's get on with it" Alvin said
They continued to fly closer to the island but Hiccup and Blake stopped their dragons
"Whoa, we can't just fly over the island, Alvin, they're expecting us" Hiccup said
"I'm aware of that" Alvin said
"And what's your plan? I already tried to find a safe way to enter" Blake said
"We're not going over the island, we're flying under it. Hold your breath" Alvin said before pressing down the stirrup that controlled Toothless' tail fin
"What are you doing?!" Hiccup asked
"Dive, dragon, dive!" Alvin yelled
"Thunder, do it, now" Blake ordered, so Thunder happily shot a lighting blast at Alvin who was able to doge it
Then, Hiccup was able to open the tail fin, allowing Toothless to have control over his flight
"What do you think you're doing?" Blake asked angrily
"I thought you were going to trust me" Alvin said "It's the moment of truth"
Hiccup thought for a moment but he realized he didn't have a choice
"Let's do it" Hiccup said
"What?!" Blake asked but Toothless dived down into the sea, so Thunder dived behind them not wanting to leave Hiccup and Toothless alone with Alvin
When they were all in the sea, Alvin pointed to an underwater cave, so they swam into it and entered some kind of cavern
"That tunnel will take us directly to the heart of the island" Alvin said as they climbed out of the water
"How do you know Dagur hasn't found this tunnel?" Hiccup asked
"Because I have a man on the inside who assures me that's it clean" Alvin said
"I'm surprised I never knew about this place" Blake said
"You seriously don't remember it, do you?" Alvin asked "I took you here for the first time when you were five"
"Really?" Blake asked
"Yeah, when I first started to train you, you remember it?" Alvin asked
"Sorry, what you're saying doesn't bring me anything back" Blake said, so Alvin sighed and began to walk into the tunnel
"You seriously don't remember this place or you're just messing with Alvin?" Hiccup whispered
"I'm serious, don't remember this place at all" Blake whispered back
After a few minutes, they arrived in the dragon dungeon where Mildew was feeding a Whispering Death
"Mildew, this traitor is your man on the inside?" Hiccup asked
Then, Fungus saw Toothless and Thunder, so he hid behind Mildew who turned around
"Well, he's always been faith to me" Alvin said
"That explains a lot" Blake said
"Mildew, have to say I never thought I see the day when you'll be playing nanny to a nursery of dragons" Hiccup said
"An interesting torn of advents to say the least" Mildew said just before the Whispering Death grabbed his staff, so he tried to pull it out of its mouth
Hiccup noticed that in another cage a Whispering Death was sleeping around eggs
"So, this is where all those Whispering Death eggs you planted came from" Hiccup said
"His idea and not a very good one" Alvin said gesturing to Mildew
"This Whispering Death laid every single one of the eggs?" Blake asked
"Each of them" Mildew said
"And that includes a large red egg?" Hiccup asked
"Odd that one, I was wondering about. How did it turn out?" Mildew asked
"In a giant dragon that is able to eat islands in a blink" Blake said as Hiccup began to write something and pulling a Terrible Terror out of Toothless' saddle bag
"What are you doing?" Alvin asked as Hiccup tied the note to the Terrible Terror's leg
"Sending a message home" Hiccup explained "That red egg turned out to be a Screaming Death, it's been destroying whole islands looking for something and now it's heading to Berk"
"And how are we going to save Stoick?" Blake asked
"Don't worry, son, I got that covered, here's the plan" Alvin began
"Uh… no offence there, Alvin, but your plans… are terrible" Hiccup said "Here's what we need to do"
Later, Hiccup and Blake were sneaking their way to the arena and released the Terrible Terror who began to fly away
"Okay, it's show time" Hiccup said
"I just hope everything goes according to the plan" Blake said
A Berserker was patrolling around the arena but before he could do something, a plasma blast slammed him into a rock
Another Berserker saw everything and was about to blow a horn in order to warn everyone, but a lightning blast from Thunder hit him and leaved him unconscious
Two Berserkers were at the entrance of the arena but once again, a blast from the dragons was enough to take them down
They quickly entered the arena, got off their dragons and were about to look for Stoick but Hiccup saw a bola flying towards them, so he blocked it with his shield
Another bola was about to get at Hiccup but Blake deflected it with his spear
Mora and more bolas went flying towards them, Hiccup blocked them with his shield and Blake either deflected them or dodged them. However, the dragons had to jump out of the way until they were at the center of the arena
Then, Hiccup saw two cages above them
"Toothless, Thunder! Watch out!" Hiccup warned
Toothless was able to watch the cage and pushed Thunder out of the way before he got trapped
Thunder ran towards Toothless to help him but another cage trapped him
And to make things worse, Hiccup and Blake were quickly surrounded by Berserkers and were captured
"Welcome back to Outcast Island, boys" Savege said as he walked towards them just before Dagur appeared and walked towards the caged dragons
"You two are finally mine… all mine" Dagur said before looking at Toothless "First thing, we're going to change that name" Toothless tried to bit Dagur's hand when he tried to touch him "It makes no sense"
"Leave him alone, Dagur!" Hiccup yelled as he tried to break free
"What was this dragon's name again?" Dagur asked looking at Blake as he gestured at Thunder
"His name is Thunder, if you want, he can show you why I named him like that" Blake said, so Thunder let out a furious roar
"I like it!" Dagur said before pointing his sword at Toothless "You'll learn to respect me, dragon… or I'll wear you like hat" then, he pointed his sword at Thunder "As for you… I've already seen how easy it is to break you when your rider it's not around to tell you what to do"
Then, Dagur turned around "Put them with Stoick, we'll dispose of them later" he ordered, so the Berserkers dragged Hiccup and Blake towards the cages
Meanwhile on Berk, Snotlout ran into the academy yelling in pain because the messenger Terrible Terror was biting his arm
"Painful message! Painful message!" he yelled
The twins quickly pulled the Terrible Terror off Snotlout's arm and Astrid took the message
"Whoa, is that your skin in his mouth?" Tuffnut asked looking at Snotlout just before the Terrible Terror began to attack him as Ruffnut laughed
"What does it say?" Fishlegs asked looking at Astrid
"Hiccup has an idea to stop the Screaming Death, but we're going to need to lure it to Outcast Island" she said
"Okay, what can we use to lure it?" Tuffnut asked as he pulled the Terrible Terror off his nose
"It likes eating islands" Ruffnut said
"That's it! We need a really big island and a really big rope. Who do we talk to about that?" Tuffnut asked just before Astrid punched him
"What about the dragon root?" Fishlegs asked
"Ha, and you thought my tiny island idea was dumb" Tuffnut said
"Great idea, Fishlegs. Gobber locked the dragon root up so we could get rid of it" Astrid said
"Just one problem, all out dragons go nuts when they go anywhere near it" Snotlout said
"Well, if you recall not all the dragons are affected by the dragon root. For example a Bolder Class, Meatlug is-" Fishlegs stopped when he realized everyone was looking at him "And I've said too much
Minutes later, Fishlegs and Meatlug were flying around the ocean to see if they could find the Screaming Death
"Here Screaming Death!" Fishlegs yelled "I've got a dragon root for you!"
Then a roar was heard, it was the Screaming Death who was flying towards them
"Oh, dear!" Fishlegs said
Back at Outcast Island, Toothless and Thunder were still caged and were now wearing nuzzles. Also. Hiccup, Blake and Stoick were tied up standing text to some Outcasts
"Are the other dragon riders here, son?" Stoick asked
"Well… no exactly" Hiccup said nervously
"Oh, the Berk fleet" Stoick said
"Not really" Blake said
"Do you two even have a plan at all?" Stoick asked getting a bit annoyed
"We do, actually" Hiccup said
"Good, good… would you like to fill me in?" Stoick asked
"I'd just like to watch it unfold if it all the same to you" Hiccup said
"I have big plans for you, Mr. Night Fury" Dagur said looking at Toothless "You'll be the new symbol of the Berserkers along with the Skrill, every corner of the archipelago will know and fear you two"
Suddenly, the Outcast that was standing next to Hiccup disappeared into the ground but Dagur was so lost in his monologue that he didn't notice
"Of course, we need to chance the sails, shields and I'll need a new belt…. We'll worry about that after we've burned Berk to the ground" Dagur said
Then, another Outcast disappeared into the ground but once again, Dagur didn't notice a thing
"Hey, how about 'Deathkiller'?" Dagur asked as he turned around just as two more Outcasts disappeared behind him
"You like that name, DeathKiller?" Dagur asked as he looked at Toothless who growled as an answer "No? oh well, we'll keep brain storming. I mean, there's got to be 'death' in it right?"
Suddenly, a Whispering Death popped out of the ground and shot up, destroying the safety cage of the arena as more Whispering Deaths popped out of the ground
The arena's floor began to crumble when the Whispering Death dived down into the ground
It also had Alvin and Mildew holding onto its tail, so when they were close enough, Alvin thew Mildew towards Toothless' cage
He quickly let Toothless out and removed the nuzzle before doing the same with Thunder
"Alvin, Mildew and Whispering Deaths?! This was your plan?!" Stoick asked
"Didn't see that coming, did you?" Hiccup asked
"Even I'm impressed it worked" Blake said
Alvin quickly ran towards them and began to untie them one by one
"Just like the good old days" Alvin laughed as he placed a hand on Stoick's shoulder
Two Berserkers charged at Alvin who just threw them away and stole their swords before charging at some Outcasts
Hiccup and Blake quickly grabbed their weapons and ran towards their dragons to join the fight but some Outcasts and Berserkers got in their way
Hiccup slammed them away with his shield while Blake blocked their attacks with his spear and if he could, he made them fall
Toothless and Thunder were back-to-back shotting plasma and lighting blasts at the Berserkers and Outcasts in sight as well as waking them away with their tails if they got too close
"Come on, Toothless!" Hiccup yelled
"Let's show them what we're made of, Thunder!" Blake yelled
The dragons were about to run towards their riders but the floor caved in, so Toothless, Hiccup and Blake fell in
Luckily, Blake reacted fast and nailed his spear to the wall preventing himself to fall. However, he wasn't able to save Hiccup
"Toothless!" Hiccup yelled
Then, the safety cage fell on top of them, allowing Hiccup to grab on to it and avoid fallen into a canyon
"Hiccup!" Blake who was now on Thunder's back yelled
"I'm fine!" Hiccup yelled back "Go and help my dad and Alvin!"
"Alright, but we'll be back!" Blake said
Meanwhile with Alvin and Stoick, they were barely able to hold on to the edge and weren't going to be able to hold on much longer
Blake and Thunder landed in front of them and helped Stoick out, throwing an Outcast into the canyon in the process
Unfortunately, the ground began to fall in with Alvin, Stoick wasn't able to grab his hand on time, so Blake and Thunder dived in and grabbed him by the shoulders
"We've got you" Blake said as Thunder flew back to the surface
Thunder placed Alvin on the ground before landing just as some Berserkers began to charge at them
"Thunder, lightning blast!" Blake ordered as he threw his spear at the Berserkers
Thunder quickly shot a lightning blast at the spear, electrifying it. Then, the electricity hit some of the Berserkers and left them unconscious, the ones that weren't hit ran away
"Ha, that's my boy!" Alvin said proudly as he placed his arm around Blake's shoulders who couldn't help but to smile
At the bottom of the canyon, Dagur got up and saw how Toothless was in front of him
"Alright, Night Fury, come to daddy" he said
Toothless tried to shot him a plasma blast but nothing came out
Not too far away, Hiccup was still hanging on the safety net "Six shot limit, great" he muttered sarcastically
"Hiccup, I'm back" Blake said as he flew next to Hiccup, allowing him to get on Thunder's back
"We need to help Toothless, he's with Dagur and reached his shot limit" Hiccup said pointing down
Some Berserkers and Outcasts charged at Toothless but a lightning blast from Thunder was enough to knock them off their feet
"Toothless" Hiccup said as Thunder landed but the Berserkers and Outcast quickly got up and surrounded them
"Get me my Night Fury and my Skrill!" Dagur ordered
The Outcasts and Berserkers charged at Toothless and Thunder but they waked them away with their tails and Thunder shot them two lighting blasts
Dagur managed to get on Toothless' back who tried to get him off
When Thunder saw this, he tried to shot another lighting blast but nothing came out, he already reached his show limit
"Come on already" Dagur said as he tried to get Toothless under control but he managed to throw him off his back in order to reunite with the others
"We're running out of options, Hiccup" Blake said as he got ready to fight
Then, a wall of gas stopped and forced the Berserkers and Outcasts retreated before it got ignited
Hiccup and Blake looked up and saw how the other teens arrived
"Whoa, this is chaos on a level I've never seen before!" Ruffnut yelled
"I know, I want to live here!" Tuffnut agreed
"We are do glad to see you guys" Hiccup said as Astrid flew down to them
"Don't thank us yet, things are about to get a lot crazier" she said
"Crazier than this? It's hard to believe" Blake said before they flew out of the canyon
Outside of it, Alvin was punching every Outcast in sight with Mildew who was really nervous but was still able to hit some of them with his staff
Not too far away, Stoick was tossing Outcasts and Berserkers over his shoulders, even one Outcast tried to attack him from behind but Stoick hit him with the back of his fist without even bothering to look
At the sky Fishlegs and Meatlug were still flying away from the Screaming Death while Fishlegs couldn't stop saying "Oh, Thor"
Then, it closed its mouth over them but Meatlug farted, creating an explosion that blasted them out
Stoick saw everything just before Hiccup and Toothless landed next to him
"Why in the name of Odin did you bring that thing here?" Stoick asked
"This may be the only chance we have to get rid of it. I saw the Screaming Death's mother, it's been destroying those islands searching for her" Hiccup explained
"That thing has a mother?!" Stoick asked not believing what he was hearing
Then, one of the Whispering Deaths stopped attacking everything in sight and looked at the Screaming Death, meaning that she was its mother
"They've seen each other, all we have to do now is to get them together" Hiccup said
"Then what?" Astrid asked as Stormfly shot a stream of fire at some Outcasts
"I'm hoping it does what exactly what I think it should" Hiccup said
"And that would be?" Astrid asked
"Something good" Hiccup said
"Sorry, to interrupt but Fishlegs and Meatlug don't have much time" Blake said
"Right. Fishlegs, now!" Hiccup yelled
"Thank Odin, thank Odin, thank Odin" Fishlegs said before dropping the dragon root into the sea "Root away!"
Then, a Whispering Death roared getting the Screaming Death's attention who roared back
"Aw, I see, it wants its mommy" Dagur said
He and some Berserkers grabbed some ropes and looped them around the Screaming Death's mother not allowing her to fly
"Dagur no!" Hiccup said as he and the other teens landed in the canyon "You don't know what you're doing. Let that Whispering Death go before you destroy us all"
"What would I do that? Hello, I'm deranged" Dagur said
"Well, you can't argue with logic like that, right?" Tuffnut asked
The Screaming Death's mother roared at she tried to break free, making the Screaming Death roar angrily as it flew around the arena crushing it even more
"Well, I'm out of here" Savage who saw everything happening said as he walked away
Back at the canyon, Dagur pointed a spear at the Whispering Death's mother
"Back off, Hiccup. You know if I destroy her that thing will take us all out" Dagur said
"He's right. Everyone, back off" Hiccup ordered
"Wise choice" Dagur said "Now, I might be interested in a trade"
"Never retreat! Never surrender!" a voice yelled, it was Snotlout who was riding Hookfang above them
"Snotlout?!" Hiccup yelled
Hookfang ignited himself up and shot a fireball straight at Dagur, so him and the Berserkers were sent back
The Screaming Death's mother was released and looked down at Hiccup who gave her a quick nod, so she flew out of the canyon followed by the teens
When they were together, the Screaming Death and its mother nuzzled each other happily and looked down at Hiccup and Toothless
The Screaming Death glared and flew towards them, making Hiccup a bit nervous but it roared so loud that Hiccup almost fell from Toothless' back, when it stopped, it flew away with its mother and other Whispering Deaths
"Uh… you're welcome" Hiccup said awkwardly just before Snotlout landed in front of him
"Okay, I know I wasn't following orders, Hiccup… but I… well" He hesitated
"Snotlout, you did the right thing" Hiccup said
"Yeah, I did but-" Snotlout stopped when he realized what Hiccup said "Wait, what? are you messing with me? I was reckless"
"Sometimes… reckless can be courageous" Hiccup said "You suspension is… well, suspended"
He raided his hand out waiting for Snotlout to shake it, at first Snotlout hesitated but he smiled and shook it
Then they heard a battle cry, it was Dagur who came out of the canyon and charged at them but someone punched him into the floor
"Hello, Dagur" Alvin said, he was the one who punched Dagur "Remember me?"
"Oh, no" Dagur said as Alvin piked him up
"Sorry to say it, Dagur… but that's what you get when you mess with the Outcasts" Blake said with a small laugh
"Well said, son" Alvin said
"Son?! He's your father?!" Dagur asked in shock as Alvin laughed
Later that evening, Stoick and Alvin were at the edge of a cliff looking out at the sea, not too far away, Hiccup and Blake were on their dragons watching them
"You would have thought it would come to this, Stoick?" Alvin said
"There's more than enough blame to go around, Alvin" Stoick said "But that's in the past. What you did today for me, for my son"
Stoick raised his hand out and Alvin happily shook it
"Speaking of which, thank you for taking care of my son in all of this time... but I think it's time for him to return" Alvin said
"That's something you must discus with him, not with me" Stoick said, so Alvin looked at Blake
He got off Thunder's back and walked towards Alvin with Thunder following him
"It's okay, Thunder, we're just going to talk" Blake said as he gave his dragon some head pats
Then, Blake stood in front of Alvin who kneeled to be and the same height, Stoick calmly walked away to give them some privacy
"Blake… I know I haven't been the best father… in fact, if I were you, I'd hate me too" Alvin said
"I… I don't hate you… that's not the problem… it never was" Blake said
"So, what is it then?" Alvin asked
"That day… after I got hit in the head… you sent me towards Berk without thinking it twice… you didn't even know if I had actually lost my memory or if I would even survive until I got there… you didn't even know if I would even arrive to Berk… it was like you wanted to get rid of me" Blake said
Some tears began to appear in Blake's eyes but this time he didn't cleaned them and continued
"And all for what? for a war I didn't ask to be part off" Blake said "Just put yourself in my shoes… you arrive at a strange place with strange people… but they welcome you to their island with the open arms… then… a man claiming to be your father… attacks the place you called home for months… you have no idea how much I cried that day"
"I was blinded by my rage… I shouldn't have done that to you, son… I made you go suffer a lot because of my selfish desire of revenge" Alvin said as he placed a hand on Blake's shoulder
"A part of me… is really mad at you… and I don't think it'll change for a while" Blake said with some sobs
"I always cared for you, son… when I kidnapped you… in my way back… I was happy… because I'd finally have my son back" Alvin said "There were some mornings when I woke up, I looked for you in your room even though I already know you weren't there"
"So… you really cared after all? You… you're not lying, are you?" Blake asked
"Why should I? I have no reason to lie, especially to you" Alvin said "Listen… if you give me the chance, we can start from zero, we can be father and son again. How does it sound?"
"I want to stay here… I really want to… you've proven me that you're not the man how'd sacrifice a life without thinking" Blake said "But… I can't… there's still a lot things I don't remember about this place… I don't think I'm ready"
"Don't worry, it doesn't matter how long it takes you to be ready, I'll be waiting for you right here and my door will always be open for you, son" Alvin said
When he heard those words, Blake couldn't help but to hug Alvin who was taken a bit off guard but still returned the hug full of fatherly love
"Thank you… father" Blake said
Then, Blake broke the hug, cleaned his tears and walked back with Hiccup and Stoick who were ready to return to Berk
"Are you okay?" Hiccup asked as Blake got on Thunder's back
"Yeah… I just want to go back to Berk" Blake said before they flew off with Alvin waving them a good bye
Back at Berk, Hiccup and Stoick were looking out at the sea
"You know, son, you're going to be a great chief someday. One of the bests I wager" Stoick said
"Well, if the last few days are any indication of what it's like being chief, I'll just leave that to you" Hiccup chuckled
Suddenly, Snotlout and Hookfang who ignited himself flew above them with the other teens
"Hiccup, we need you" Astrid said
"Stoick!" a voice said, it was Gobber who was walking towards them "Silent Sven just broke his silence and you're not going to like what he has to say"
"Go on" Stoick said looking at Hiccup "Looks like we both have our own chiefing to do"
"Come on, bud" Hiccup said before flying off
Moments later he managed to get Snotlout in a trough of water making him sigh in relief
Then, Hiccup and Toothless went on a flight around the island
This is Berk, they have ice, they've got snow and they've got more ice but they also have dragons
Hiccup and Toothless first flew above the academy where Astrid and Stormfly were training
A Terrible Terror laned on a plank sending some plates into the air and with a hand gesture, Stormfly shot spikes hitting every single one of the plates, so Astrid gave her a chicken leg as reward
They bond with them, they train with them and learn from them
Then, Hiccup and Toothless flew above the plaza where Fishlegs was updating the book of dragons with some new data of the Screaming Death. Of course, in company of Mealug
They protect them, and the dragons protect them back, sometimes even from themselves
Not too far away the twins were fighting with each other until Barf and Belch picked them up but that didn't stop them
And in a few cases, the dragons protect them from their inner demons
Then, Hiccup and Toothless flew above the forge where Blake was giving Thunder a scratch making him purr
When he finished, Thunder happily nuzzled his rider who hugged him back
But one thing is sure, no one would change that for anything, would you?
Finally, Hiccup and Toothless flew above the sea as the sun began to set
A/n: Hi, I'm here with the final chapter for this story. So, I'd like to announce some things before finishing
First: yes, I'll continue with Race to the Edge it's something I'd like to do it's going to be hard but I think I'll be able to do it
Second: there's something I plan to do before starting with Race to the Edge and it is… An Original Story!
I won't say much here but it'll be placed between Defenders of Berk and Race to the Edge it's going to be optional to read it, so it's okay if you don't want to read it
