AN: I know that some people had panic attacks, I never in my life had a panic attack, also I been thinking about for the next fanfic can be about Helen had a nightmare and awakened with a panic attack, so enjoy.
Thanks.
It was a dark and gloomy night.
11:35 pm.
Helen went to the bathroom with an exhausted expression while bob is checking on the kids. She looked at the mirror.
She has black eye bags underneath her eyes, a sign of not getting much rest. Her cheeks are a little bit pale. It been 2 or 3 weeks since the incident on the everjust.
Helen sighed and lifts the bottom edge her shirt halfway.
She looked downward to see thin purple and black ring and red scrapes across her hip and abdomen. Her mind recalled the memory where she was at the fortress, looking for bob on the island. That was 3 months ago.
' that's what I get for allowing myself to get stuck between the door twice'
She puts it down and looked at her elbows which has cuts and burns. She gotten those when she got tased by the guy who is hypnotized during the weeks when she got the job as Elastigirl.
She tried to extend her arm to see if she can still use her powers but she moaned in pain and her arm went to normal. She looked at the burns again.
Helen stares at the cuts and burn for few moments, she was about to grab some disinfectant to soften the cuts and burns but she hesitated.
' maybe tomorrow ,I guess?'
Within few seconds, she turned off the light and went back to the master bedroom.
She was walked into the halls as she was... shivering. What's going on?
'...why am I shivering?, it's not cold in here.'
As she continued to head back to the master bedroom, she's was thinking of the moment when she and Bob saw the recording when they were wearing the goggles that made them hypnotized.
Helen entered the dark bedroom, She was about to get settled, when she was about to get settled until...
She felt something...
Her hands are shaky
'Its just a screen. Its just a screen.'
Helen began to hyperventilate as she dropped to her knees, her shaky hands on the the floor, Her body is now shaking, her heart is pounding fast like a drum.
Memories of the screens flew through her mind. It's so fearful.
And the memory of the recording that she had no idea what happened next, she could help but blame herself. Being fearful to the TV screens was the last thing to think about.
And just because shes fearful of the screens doesn't mean she'll be scared of them for a while.
She kept hyperventilating for five minutes until, she heard some footsteps approaching.
"Helen?"
She jerked her head up to see a strong silhouette figure. Bob.
"Hon, are you okay?" Bob asked.
"...I-I'm not sure..." she gasps for air before continuing. "...When I-I was heading back here...I-I...started shivering and...and I don't know what's ha-happening to me...!" She kept gasping for air.
Bob's heart sank to see his beloved wife like this. Helen has never been prone to panic attacks. He has to calm her down, but how? He went to the nightstand and turned on the light.
He kneeled down and started rubbing her back.
Bob kept rubbing her back until Helen's heaving breath turned into unsteady breaths.
She looked at his gaze. He grabbed her hand and placed them on his chest.
"Helen, match my breathing for me, okay?"He murmurs.
Helen nods and starts catching a breath to control her breathing.
She kept taking a few breaths for a couple minutes until the panic attacks subsided.
"Thanks sweetie." Helen whispers.
"Your very welcome." Bob got up then took Helen's hand to help her up.
Bob's expression grew concerned.
"What caused you to be like that a few minutes ago?" Bob asks.
Helen sighed then as she averted her gaze.
"I kept thinking about the everjust incident weeks ago." She replied.
Oh.
She sat on the bed and looked at the burns on her arms, Bob sat next to her.
"...and I had those." Helen continued. "It made me think of them, if it weren't for me, I wouldn't have hurt you, I wouldn't have not gotten injured and-"
"Helen." Bob interrupts, putting a hand on her shoulder. "You can't blame yourself for get hurt." He reassures her "It's okay to reach out for someone when they're hurt..." He grinned. "...Including those who had panic attacks, sometimes they have to nurse their wounds."
Helen chuckled at his words " yeah... even supers need to patch up wounds at well."
Bob wraps his arm around her shoulder and gently kissed her top of her head. "Whenever you had a another panic attack, I'm right here."
Helen smirks and rests her head on bob's shoulder. Bob looked at the clock on the nightstand.
12:30 am.
"Tomorrow we better get you patched up." Bob said.
When they got settled in bed, Bob held her close,Helen looks at bob.
"Thank you for being there for me." Helen whispers.
Bob smirked. "Anytime."
"I love you, Mr incredible." Helen said.
"I love you too, elastigirl." Bob said then he and Helen got settled in.
Sorry that this fanfic took me a while to finish because real life plans got in the way, so yeah, I do need a break and I'll wait for the right time to work on more fanfic :)
