Sorry about the wait or this chapter! As i said in my Dead Hearts fic, got distracted by the rabbit hole that is Persona 5.
Anyway, that's enough waiting. ON WITH THE CHAPTER!
Chapter 26: To Slay a God
The sea was eerily calm despite the turbulent winds roaring around the Island. Grima's draconic form hovering in the sky, his body obscured by the clouds. His vast shadow consumed the Island. Grima's glowing eyes glared at the small fleet of ships bearing down upon him with amusement.
While on the lead ship, staring back with a mixture of anger and determination, Robin glared back. His coat was left in his and Tiki's room. He had already made up his mind on what he had to do, but…
Should I tell them? I know Chrom would try and stop me. Tiki, as well. But still, if what I'm thinking is right, it could save an incalculable number of lives! One life for a free future.
"Robin?" Tiki's soft voice echoes behind him. Looking behind, Robin finds Tiki walking up to him, concern in her eyes. Her cape and gloves were left in their room. "What's wrong?" Robin looks away to hide a grimace. Of all people, she was one he did not want to tell. But in his heart, he knew he had to.
"It's about Grima. I think I know a way of destroying him forever." He replies, his voice heavy. Tiki's eyes widen in surprise before narrowing in thought.
"And it involves you?" She asks softly. Robin nods, turning his head back to Grima's cloud-covered body with anger.
"Yes. It ties back to what Naga said back at Mount Prism. How he can only be destroyed by his own power. And considering how he and I are exactly the same, that means I can deal the final blow once he is weakened enough." He gives a heavy sigh before looking back at Tiki. "But, it would be a double-edged sword. Grima would die, yes, but…"
"Because you are the same, you would die as well." Tiki finishes, sadness dripping from her words. Robin says nothing, enveloping her in a hug as the anger dies in his eyes.
"I'm sorry. I want to live my life with you. With everyone. But Grima is too dangerous to leave alone. And killing him with Falchion is only pushing our problem to someone else. And they might not be as lucky as we are."
"I know." Tiki replies. "I know that what you are doing is for the best. But…" She pulled away, a tear dripping from her eye, and yet a small smile was adorned on her face. "I have hope you will still be with us." At Robin's raised eye, she explains.
"I remember something Yen-Yen said back when he was helping Marth. How the heart grows in strength with the connections it makes with others. The homes it finds. And, while we may not be Keyblade wielders, I still believe in that." She looks at Robin in the eyes with a loving gaze. "If Grima's power is what is keeping you alive, then let the bonds you have made fill that gap. Let us be the home that your heart rightfully deserves, not the Abyss that is Grima. You belong here, with us."
Robin looks at Tiki, eyes wide. He hadn't thought of that before. True, Sora and the others had told him at one point or another that Keybearers like themselves get stronger with the bonds they forge with others. But he hadn't thought those same bonds could be applied here. And yet, there was no mistaking what Tiki had said.
He had indeed forged bonds with everyone here. They were all practically family at this point. A light of hope to fight back against Grima's darkness. And he had felt them grow. Starting out as what felt like tiny lines of string before growing into ropes of steel.
Sighing deeply, Robin lays his head against Tiki with a grateful smile. "Thanks, Tiki. I was worried about how to explain this to everyone else, knowing that I would die. But these bonds, these invisible ties, they will be what keeps me here. Not Grima's power, but my own."
"I am happy to help, Robin." Tiki replies with a smile before gently kissing him on the lips, an action Robin gladly returns.
Unbeknownst to the couple, they were not alone. Gazing at them from the stairway entrance, Sora looked on with a small smile.
Tiki's right, you know. Let our bonds become yours, and let you stay with us. After all, our friends and our loved ones are our power.
Deciding not to disturb the two, Sora returns to his and Kairi's cabin. Tomorrow would be the decisive day. Either they win or they lose.
May our Hearts be our guiding Key.
Landing the ships was worryingly easy. Despite everyone being ready for an immediate attack, all that they were greeted by was silence, broken only by the howling winds. The beach they had chosen to land at was near a small town, its walls and buildings falling apart from years of abandonment. It was clear to the Shepherds that if anyone was still living on the Island when Grima arrived…they were long gone.
But while the others focused on setting up a camp and starting patrols, Chrom's attention was locked on the central mountain of the Island. Or, to be more accurately, a reawakened volcano. Shrouded by Grima's shadow.
"So, that's Origin's Peak." He mutters to himself, seeing the towering mountain dominating the view before him.
"Indeed." Naga's voice echoes around him. "Remember, Awakener! The power I gave you cannot destroy Grima." Chrom grimaces at Naga's reminder.
"We must find some way to break this unholy cycle. We can't just keep putting Grima back to sleep every few centuries." Chrom replies while shooting a withering glare at Grima.
"I may know a way." Robin replies as he walks up to him, Tiki, Lucina, Sora, Kairi and Oceania by his side. At Chrom intrigued look, Robin explains. "The other me claimed the dragon and I were the same, yes? If I strike the final blow, he'd be killed by his own hand."
"Robin…" Chrom's eyes widen before igniting with fire. "Ingenious! But will it work, though?"
"Perhaps." Naga's voice echoes around them. "But there would be consequences. Grima's heart and Robins are inexorably linked. Dragon and man can no longer be separated. Therefore, slaying Grima would also cause the end of Robin's life." A tense gloom suddenly filled the air as Naga's words echoed within their minds. The link between Robin and Grima was much stronger than either had realised.
"At least, that's what would happen in any other tale." Naga's voice suddenly speaks again, catching the attention of all. "In the course of your journey, Robin has bound his heart to those of many others in this world, and those beyond. By themselves they would give him the chance to live. But he has also consumed one of my Tears. His heart is now linked to mine, just as Tiki and Nowi are. The ears he has is proof of this."
"All the more reason for me to deal the final blow." Robin ends before glancing back at Chrom. "Chrom, I know that there is a chance that I may die, but if my sacrifice can save the lives of not only our future children, but the lives of all those who have yet to come, I would take it." Chrom looks at Robin's eyes, seeing the fire within burning away.
"If it was not for those assurances, I would shoot this idea down." Chrom says with a heavy sigh. "The arguments you present are sound, and the choice obvious. But even so, don't ever forget this Robin. You're one of us. You'll ALWAYS be one of us." He steps forward, clasping his hands on Robins shoulders. "You have become the brother I never thought I knew or want. So promise all of us this. You WILL survive this, no matter what."
"All of us are here with you Robin." Sora speaks up, putting a hand on his back. "None of us are going to leave you behind. IF you fall down, we'll be there to pick you back up."
"You were one of the first people to meet us when we landed on this world, and quickly became someone we knew we could trust with anything." Kairi echoes with a warm smile. "You've saved us from a dark fate as well. So, now it is our turn to help you."
Robin smiles warmly at the people around him. After everything they had been through, nothing would break them now. Not even a god. Before Robin could reply though, a low roar rumbles across the plains before them. Glancing back towards Origin Peak, they saw a vast army forming before them. All with glowing red and yellow eyes.
"I had a feeling Grima would not let us approach so easy." Chrom mutters through grit teeth. "Ready for combat!"
Shouts ring out from the camp as men and women alike grab their weapons and armour. Those on watch rush to the front lines as patrols begin to return to the camp. Their reports of the gathering force painting a bleak picture.
The only silver lining they could tell was that Grima's army was holding its position just at the base of the Peak, split between two valleys. Seeing how the Heartless-Risen were waiting for them, the leaders looked over a hastily drawn map of the area as they waited for the last of their army to disembark from the ships.
"Judging by the layout of the terrain, Grima is mostly likely expecting us to punch through one of his lines to get to him. His has his army of revenants located hallway up the valleys leading to Origin Peak." Flavia explains, placing down markers on the map. "According to our scouts, the force in the left valley has less forces that those in the right. However, they are made up of heavily armed units, with mages and archers lined behind them."
"The force on the right is less armoured, but makes up for it with numbers and manoeuvrability." Basilio takes over, his one eye gazing over the map. "Foot soldiers and cavalry. Perfect for flanking and outmanoeuvring."
"Meaning that if we try and focus on one side, the other would be able to block us from behind. A death trap waiting to be sprung." Terra finishes with a grim look.
"And that's not considering the fact that Grima could summon more as reinforcements at any point." Riku adds on. "Remember, he has control over the Heartless, and they can appear whenever or wherever they want."
"All of that wont matter when Grima falls." Lucina chimes in. "As you say, he controls the Heartless and the Risen. Without him, they would vanish on their own."
"Meaning that we have to break through one of the valley's and get to Grima before he has a chance to surround us." Sora ends, folding his arms. All eyes at the table turn to Robin and Tiki, the two quietly talking to each other as their eyes lock on to the pieces on the table.
"What say, my friends." Chrom asks with a knowing smirk. "Have you already devised a plan?" The couple turn to look at Chrom, as small grins form on their lips.
"Yes, I believe we have." Robin replies as Tiki places markers on the map.
"After discussing various outcomes, Robin and I have devised on what we think is the most simple, and yet dangerous, plan available." She finishes placing the markers down, showing a large force of blue facing against the right force while a smaller group of cyan faced against the left force. "Using the fact that Grima is expecting us to aim for his weaker left with our entire force, we will instead have our force engage his right while we, the Shepherds and guardians, will punch through his left."
"The right force is the larger of the two and more mobile, as Basilio has said, but they are in a very bad spot for a force such as them." Robin takes over, highlighting the sides of the valley. "It is a force more suited for open plains, not choke-points such as a valley."
"And while the force in the left has that advantage, it is also a disadvantage." Tiki speaks up. "Grima expects us to try and punch through with our entire force, knowing that we would get bogged down. When that happens, the force from the right would come on from behind, trapping us. We also expect him to send in flyers to attack us from above."
"Turning the valley into a killing field." Chrom ends darkly. "I admit it's a sound plan, but how do we know Grima won't be able to just transfer his army onto the left?"
"It would leave him exposed." Robin replies. "He could do so, but he would be risking that we would be hiding ourselves in the main force and trick him to thinking we are attacking his left. And even then, it would allow our forces attaching his right to attack the back of his left."
"Wait a moment Robin." Kairi interjects with raised eyebrows. "When you said 'ourselves', do you mean all of us? Including Basilio and Flavia? So none of us will be in charge of our left?" At Robins nod all gazes turned to him as he sighs.
"That is what makes this plan dangerous despite the simplicity. Since ALL of us will be attacking the right, it means we will have to delegate someone else to attack the left. What worries me is that they won't be able to keep the force together. I don't doubt the bravery of who we have, but even they would falter against the Heartless-Risen."
"I would nominate Raimi to take command, but she has only commanded garrison numbers." Basilio mumbles. Everyone glances around as they ponder who to nominate, until the tent flap was flung open.
"Then let us lend our aid." A gentle voice echoes behind, grabbing the attention of all present. Standing at the tent entrance, a wind tome in hand, was Emmeryn.
"Emm!? What are you doing here!?" Chrom asks in shock, seeing his older sister here. Emmeryn gives him a gentle look as he walks towards the table.
"I am here to help, Chrom. For too long I have been unable to help, held as a hostage along side the other Princess of Heart. But now, we are here to change that." She holds her gaze as he looks into the eyes of all present. "We admit, none of us are strong enough to lend our aid against Grima. But against the minions that crawl at his feet, we are more than capable. We shall lead the attack while you assault Grima."
"But Emm! We just got you back from Grima! What if he's expecting you to come?" Lissa asks with worried eyes. Emmeryn gently pats her younger sister on the head, her smile never leaving her face.
"Have no fear. We will not be alone. Nor will we risk ourselves. We no the danger, but we know that your are in even more." He smile falls. "Please promise me, that all of you will return once the battle is over."
"We will, Emm." Chrom declares, a fire in his eyes. "I swear, we will return from this and come back home alive. All of us." A fire erupted behind his eyes, one mirrored by all who stood in the tent.
This was the final battle.
"Looks like the kids are getting ready." 'Luxu' announces as he and Aversa look over the battlefield. Standing upon the central mountain range that forms the two valleys, the could see the army led by the kids splitting in two. The main force marching towards their mobile right, while a smaller force, mostly likely the kids themselves, heading to their left. "Gotta admit, its brave of them to split up like this. Brave or stupid." He turns to the silent Aversa with a frown. "What's up? You're not normally this quiet."
Aversa jolts at the question, not expecting to be called out. She looks at him before turning back to the sea. "Luxu, will we survive the coming fight?" Her question catches him of guard as she continues. "Recently, I have been plagued by nightmares. Nightmares of a future that, for all I know, should have happened. The death of Chrom, Robin becoming Grima. The deaths of Sora and Kairi. Our deaths at Grima's hands."
'Luxu' stares at her with his lone eye, digesting the thoughts she had been holding. Turning his gaze back to the valley, he sighs before rubbing the back of his head.
"So the old dragon is planning to betray us? How am I not surprised." He mutters, gazing at the rocks around him. He gives a small smirk, turning back to Aversa. "If that's the case, why don't we betray him first?" At her confused look, his grin grows. "The old dragon wants to throw us to the wolves right? In that case, then let's leave him to deal with his own problems."
"And leave the forces we have here behind and directionless?" She asks with narrow eyes. 'Luxu' shrugs as he folds his arms.
"What is there to direct. These things run off basic instinct anyway. Besides, if Grima is planning to off us off the first chance he gets, then I'm not waiting around waiting for him to stab me in the back." His smile falls away to a frown as he stares at her in the eyes. "You're the same, are you not? Or are you more loyal to Grima that you would throw your life away for him?"
"What else is there for me." She replies. "I have no future her for me. And if my dreams are to be true, I am dead weather I fight or not." She balls her hands into fists as she glares at the army of the Exalt, baring down upon the right flank. She ready's herself to charge into the fray, before 'Luxu's hand grabs her by the wrist.
"There is a third option, Aversa." He says slowly. She looks at him with a curios gaze as he opens a Corridor of Darkness. "There is another plan we can take. One that we can use for our own ideas." Aversa allowed herself to follow him into the dark portal, her dark pegasi following behind. Leaving behind a ravenous army with no command.
In the sky looking down from his draconic form, Grima could feel the departure of the vessel of darkness and his now former puppet. He growls in his throat at the audacity of them to leave in his crowing victory.
No matter. He thinks to himself as he gazes at the valley below. I will deal with them soon enough. No one will stop me. Neither the inheritor of the X-blade, Marth's decedent or sentient Darkness itself, I will win as I always have and will. He turns around, eyes falling on a shadowed form kneeling before him. Besides, I hope they arrive here. So I can feast upon the despair in their eyes.
"How many of them are there!?" Vaike shouts as his axe cleaves into another Risen General. "I've lost count after killing fifty of these freaks!"
"Less talking more fighting!" Several shouts back as she cuts down another Sage. The plan had started off well, with Emmeryn and the others leading the main force Chrom along with the Shepherds and the Guardians charged into the line of Risen Generals. It was a surprise at how easy they had managed to break through, only to find themselves bogged down by the ranged foes beyond.
Arrows and spells rained down from the sky, forcing the Shepherds and the Guardians to pause in their charge. Xion and the flyers hovered out of range, frustrated at being forced to hold back. At least until the predicted aerial attack came in from behind.
While they were focusing on keeping the flyers away from their ground based friends, things only became harder to contend as Heartless-Risen reinforcements began to appear behind the initial force.
"Watch out!" A cry from Sora alerted Several to a Risen sneaking up behind her, sword raised in the air. Only for it to fall on Sora's shield as he jumps in between the two. An arrow of light zips past Sora's shoulder, landing between the red and yellow eyes of the Risen as it disappears into black smoke. "You okay?" He asks, switching Ultima Weapon for Kingdom Key. Severa grumbles a thanks as she looks away, noticing a Risen sneaking up on Owain.
Without a thought, she rushes to his back and parries away the strike.
"Chrom! We can't hold out forever!" Terra shouts as he, Aqua and Kitai back away from a Bolganone explosion, fire raining down from the sky. Chrom grunts in acknowledgement as he kicks away and Warrior with his foot. Right into Lucina's waiting spear.
"If only we could take out those Snipers!" Caelum calls out, blocking an axe with his blade. "Aunt Sumia and the others would be able to help break us out of this!" A roar from behind announced the arrival of holy white flames engulfing a squad of Risen Paladins, freshly created from a pool of Darkness.
"But how?! None of us can get in range!" Olivia asks as she ducks under a spear. Running her blade along the shaft she slices the opposing Risen in half before leaping away from a trio of arrows.
Even Robin had to admit, things were getting dire. The only way out of this encirclement was from the outside, yet with the Snipers and Sages carrying wind tomes waiting outside, Cherche and the others would be easy pickings for them. As Robin glares at one of the offending Snipers standing at the back of its pack, he notices it suddenly falling to the ground.
What?
As he took a moment to process that the Risen had somehow falling over by staying still, another one followed suit. Then another, and another. The surrounding Risen seemed to finally catch on that something was wrong as they turned around and fired arrows…towards the ground?
"Robin!" He was snapped out his fought as a Warrior was rushing towards him, axe raised. Brining his Levin Sword up, he blocks the strike before deflecting the Warrior to his side. Soon after he was clear, light erupted from the ground and consumed the Risen as Naminé and Gregor rush up to him. "Are you okay?" Naminé asks as she looks over him, before firing off another blast of light at a group of Risen.
Robin nods before turning his attention back to the Snipers outside, now noticing that they and the Risen Sages were being attacked by, something.
"Oi, Robin. What's gotten eyes?" Gregor asks, standing to his back and covering his flank. Robin shakes his head before turning back to his two rescuers with a look of confusion.
"I don't know but, something is attacking the Risen outside the ring. Something small." Gregor and Naminé looked at Robin with befuddled looks, glancing over to where Robin was looking. True to his word, something was attacking the Risen outside the ring, but with the wall of Generals surrounding them, getting a look was proving to be impossible.
The only thing that Naminé could see at one point was what looked to be two big back circles on a head.
"Huh?" She breathes after unleashing another blast of Starlight. She looks out to the Snipers again, looking for the shapes she saw. It was only for a moment, but she caught a glimpse of the familiar look for a second as they dashed from a Sniper to a Sage. "It can't be…"
"Naminé! What's wrong?" Roxas calls out as he and Omoide rush to join her, Robin and Gregor. Concern evident in his eyes as he slashes away another Risen with Oblivion. Naminé couldn't believe what she was about to say, until a howling ell echoes from outside the ring.
A yell, that all of the Guardians new by heart. And one they had not heard in years.
"YYYYYYYAAAH HOO HOO HOOEY!"
The oh so familiar cry echoed around as a Great Knight, covered in Gren and yellow armour with silver decals, smashes though the line of Generals, creating a hole for the Shepherds and Guardians to escape. While the Guardians, and future children, took the opportunity to escape the Guardians stood with wide eyes at the Great Knight who barrelled around the arena.
On an out-of-controlled horse.
"HEY! SLOW DOWN!" The Knight calls as he smashes into another part of the ring, forming another opening as the Risen Generals dissolve into shadows. The Guardians look at each other and, after a brief moment recomposing themselves, rush out through the second gap. Moving outside, they look to the Risen Snipers and Sages to fond almost all of them defeated. Save for a sporadic few.
Who were trying to kill a small Lord slashing at them with a sword and spear?
They were dressed just like Chrom, but with Red and silver being the main colours of his clothes and armour, with bright yellow greaves covering his large feet. A black think tail lay hidden under his blue cape as he turned to look at the Guardians with a happy smile before swinging his weapons, the design that looked almost like Sora's but with the blade a deep blue, the handle a deep silver and a yellow star centred near the grip.
"Mickey!?" The Guardians call in shock as the King of Disney Castel lands before them, holding Kingdom Key W in its sword form in his right and Star Seeker in his left, the blade taking the form of a spear.
"Sorry 'bout the wait. Glad we could make it." He replies with his usual smile before turning around to face several Generals marching towards them. The encircling ring broken and the Snipers and Sages defeated, no more Risen were rising from the ground to impede them. Leaving Sumia and the others free to sweep in and assist. Cherche and Gerome focusing on helping the Great Knight who was still struggling to control his horse while several Risen Generals chased after him.
"We?" Sora replies to Mickey's response before a column of ice erupts from the ground, impaling the Heartless-Risen before breaking apart. Behind them, they could hear the distinct grumbling of a certain duck as flippers stomp onto the rocky ground.
"Can't do anything without us, huh?" The voice of Donald sounds as they turn around, finding the temperamental duck standing behind them, a tome in hand and tome more attached to a belt around him along with a staff on his back. His Sage outfit a deep blue with silver décor. Strangely he kept the usual hat he always wore. Seeing their old friends here brought smiles to the faces of the Guardians, while un countable questions filled their minds.
"How… how did you get here? When did you get here?" Riku asks before noticing another group of Risen charging towards them. Before they could near them, however, a cyclone of air, water and ice engulfed the Risen, smashing them back into motes of Darkness. Turning around, they find another familiar face walking towards them with a relieved smile.
"Master Yen Sid?" The group asks in surprise as the ageing Master walks up to them, a deep green and blue tome in hand. None of them noticed the rest of the Shepherds moving to join them, the last of the Risen having been dealt with.
"My friends, it pleases me to find you alive and unharmed." He speaks with great relief at finding the Guardians alive and well. Although he raises an eyebrow at seeing the future children. "And it would seem much has happened in our absence."
"Sora. Who are these people?" Chrom asks as he looks at the newcomers with interest. Although one couldn't fault him when he saw Mickey and Donald.
"Yen-Yen?" Tiki suddenly asks, looking at Yen Sid with wide eyes. Yen Sid turns to look at her, recognition in his eyes as a warm smile forms on his lips.
"It has been a long time, Tiki. I am glad to see you remember me." His smile drops before looking at Chrom with his usual expression. "I am afraid we do not have enough time for a proper introduction, so I shall be brief. The worlds are in danger the longer Grima still lives." Stepping forward, Mickey walks up to Chrom with a hard expression.
"To make a long story short, we are long-time friends of Sora and the others. We've come to help." He could here Donald mumbling about the 'World Order' behind him as he gave a found eye roll. Apparently, Chrom had also heard him as he turned to give the Duck a look.
"We already know of the World Order. The House of Ylisse has stood guard over the truth since the days of Marth. And all of us here have kept our silence." That made the Duck give a sigh as the Great Knight from before finally joined the group.
Only, he was sitting the wrong way round.
"Hm? We're everybody go?" He asks, looking around as his Brave Weapons clatter around his body. The Guardians give a found chuckle at him before Sora walks up with his usual smile.
"Goofy. You're sitting the wrong way round." That caught the Goof's attention as he turned around in his saddle. If the Guardians were taken aback by Mickey and Donald, they found themselves wondering about what Goofy was when they saw him.
"Hey, Sora! Glad we made it." Goofy greets happily as he reorients himself on his horse. "Hope I didn't run into anyone when I arrived."
"No, you're timing was spot on." Kairi replies with a smile as Oceania and Caelum walk up to them, questions in their eyes.
"Mom, Dad. Who are they?" Oceania asks, drawing startled gasps from Mickey, Donald and Goofy. Yen Sid looked one with narrowed eyes before falling on the rest of the future children. He closes his eyes as he sighs deeply to himself. Now he knew what Naga meant by additional help.
Before anyone could explain, a horrendous roar echoed from above, vibrating the very air as all eyes went skyward.
"Wak! What's that!?" Donald yelps as Grima descends towards the peak, his draconic body filling the sky.
"It's Grima!" Lucina calls out in anger as the Fell Dragon hovers above them. Sora and Riku share a glance as they mentally compare it to the dragon they fought when chasing Xemnas. It looked as though it was even larger than that!
"Milord, how does a man challenge a mountain!?" Frederick cries out in alarm. "Where would one even strike!?"
"The nape of his neck." Yen Sid replies calmly, his gaze locked on Grima's figure with anger. "It is the only place where you can strike. Just like when the First Exalt defeated Grima."
"Yen Sid is correct." Naga's voice echoes with the minds of all present. "But that weakness will be guarded by his servants. He will not allow his one weakness to be exploited as it was in ages past. I can send you onto the dragon's back, but the rest is in your hands."
Everyone shared a glance at Naga's declaration. This was the point of no return. If anyone wanted to walk away now, this would be it.
But no one did. All stood in unison. With a determined frown, Chrom glares back up to Grima, declaring their answer.
"Then please, milady, and quickly! Grima dies today!"
With that single cry, everyone, Shepherd and Guardian alike, was encased in orbs of blue light before flying off towards Grima.
Down with the main force, Emmeryn watched from a small hill as the battle unfolded before her. Even if she didn't participate, her presence quelled any fear the men and women around her held. An aura intensified by the presence of the other Princess of Heart, each doing their own to assist the beleaguered troops against their unrelenting foe.
The light of blue catches her eye as he sees the orbs of light fly towards Grima. She holds a hand close to her chest, sending a silent prayer towards the sky.
May the Divine Dragon protect and shield you.
Atop a rocky mountain, the Master of Masters watches as the heroes sail towards the final battle. "Well, I've done all that I can." He whispers, turning around to leave as a corridor of Darkness opens. "May your Hearts be your guiding Key."
