Chapter 9: Cake and Getting Invited

Meanwhile in Gabby's house, Gabby, Grizelda and Paige are watching TV together on the couch. They were watching a drama tv show, until it was over so Gabby turned the TV off. Then they'll start talking about everything that happened while celebrating Grizelda's birthday. Gabby first starts by saying, "First off I got Grizelda out of school so that we can celebrate her birthday." Grizelda then goes next, "Then we went to the park, then to Gabby's house, had a water balloon fight in Gabby's backyard and we then went to Liam's farm. Paige then says, "Gabby and Grizelda then go to Girl Jordan's house where they go to her swimming pool, then celebrate Grizelda's birthday with a cake and then go to sleep.

Gabby again then says, "Me and Grizelda got out of bed, went to the diner, gone to an indoor play area and went to a pond where when Grizelda tried to jump off a plank it sent her flying off." Grizelda then interrupted Gabby, "I got wedged in a hole leading into a massive wasp hive and I was enjoying the honey there. It was the best birthday ever while I was stuffing my face with that honey." After that Paige says, "Gabby got some girls to help Grizelda get out of the cliff. When that didn't work, they both get more girls to help. After the combined help of more girls, we freed Grizelda, when I complained, I was forced to be with Grizelda." Gabby then says, "Me and Stella go get ice cream." Grizelda says, "Me and Paige were in her house." Gabby says, "Me and Stella went to the arcade." Paige replies, "Me and Grizelda left the house, go to the gym where we exercised there." Gabby continues, "I went back to my house, where I got a snack for Grizelda." After that Grizelda says lastly, "Then the 3 came across each other outside and we left together."

After Gabby, Grizelda and Paige listed the events they each say how fun they were. Grizelda proclaims, "The part with the wasp nest was my favourite." After hearing that the girls reaction is, Paige will be annoyed and Gabby is just okay with it. Grizelda says, Thank you Gabby for trying to give me the best birthday ever." Gabby will feel proud of herself by smiling and will say, "Your welcome."

Then both Gabby and Paige talk to each other, normally. Gabby says, "I wish that we could do just 1 last thing to celebrate Grizelda's birthday." Paige replies, "Well I don't know." Gabby and Paige are confused on what to do at first. But after a few minutes later, Gabby thought of an brilliant idea, "I decide to let Grizelda eat the rest of her leftover birthday cake." After hearing this from Gabby, Paige thinks it over and replies, "Let's do this." Gabby feels surprised that she's agreeing to this, so she asks, "Paige why are you going with the plan? Paige replies, "The last thing for Grizelda's birthday should be something really kind and that she doesn't mind if Grizelda gets the rest of that cake." Gabby replies, "That is so good and heartfelt." Paige then whispers to Gabby, "Maybe you will save 1 small piece of cake for me?" After hearing that Gabby whispers, "Sure thing."

Gabby then decides to come over to tell Grizelda about this, "Grizelda, the last thing we decide to do to celebrate your birthday is letting you eat the rest of your leftover birthday cake." After hearing this Grizelda was so filled with joy that she can't figure out what to say, so she just has a big smile. After that Gabby says, "I will go get the cake from the fridge." After that Paige proclaims, "I will help get the cake out!" So both Gabby and Paige go and open the fridge where they both take all 5 containers of cake. Gabby carries 3 and Paige carries 2 containers. Then both of them put the cake on the table and open the lids off.

When Grizelda looks at the table with the cake, she already feels hungry when she sees all this, as usual. An excited Grizelda says, "I can't believe there was still this much cake left." Gabby replies, "I thought it would be better to save them for later." Paige then tells Gabby, "It's later now." Gabby then offers telling Grizelda, "You can dig in." Grizelda will be joyful and will then start eating the cake by using her hands.

For now she ate 1 piece of cake, Grizelda would end up climbing onto the table as she continues eating. She struggles at first so when Gabby notices this, she comes up and gives Grizelda a push with her hands. It works then Grizelda continues stuffing her face with the cake. So far Grizelda ate 3 pieces of cake by using her hands, with one of the containers having 2 pieces and the other ones having 3, 4, 5 and 6 respectively.

While Grizelda is eating, Paige speaks with Gabby. Paige would mainly apologize for, "I am sorry about acting rude about how Grizelda was." Gabby replies, "I forgive you." Then Paige would say, "I have already gotten use to how Grizelda is now." Gabby understands and she passes Paige a piece of cake she managed to save. Paige would be grateful, she smiles and says, "Thank you Gabby." Paige then gets a fork and starts eating the cake. Then both of them continue watching Grizelda eat her side of the cake.

Grizelda is really happy right now and her cheeks are full. Paige tells Gabby, "I am surprised that Grizelda hasn't gotten sick from everything she ate yet." Gabby agrees somehow and responds, "I feel the same way." A while later Grizelda will now have finished what she can of the cake. Her mouth, lips and chin are filled with cake frosting. She's laying on her back on the table amongst what's left of the cake, and her large belly is sticking up in the air. Grizelda is feeling tired and happy at the same time. Grizelda will weakly say something about, "I really enjoyed this." Gabby and Paige would both smile. Grizelda then asks herself out loud, "Why did I even bothered to save this cake for later?" Gabby and Paige will be nervous about Grizelda not eating the cake earlier.

So Grizelda stays on the table and surprisingly, Paige and Gabby come up and lay on each of her sides. While lying down, Gabby tells Grizelda, "I am glad that we were able to give you the best birthday ever." Grizelda says, Thank you very much," and she then hugs Gabby with just her left arm. So Grizelda hugs Gabby with just her left arm and Gabby is being squished by her girth. Gabby then feels uncomfortable and says to Grizelda, Can you let go?" Then Grizelda does so while apologizing, "Sorry!"

After that both Gabby and Paige decide to get off the table and Grizelda goes with them. Soon the 3 take another look at what's left of the cake, there's gonna be a few messy mounds left, 2-3 messy mounds to be exact. All 3 of them have different reactions: Grizelda will think of eating it sometime later, Paige will think it looks like a mess, then Gabby wonders and whispers, "Should we clean up the last of the cake sometime?" Paige will then answer, "Grizelda will probably finish it soon." Grizelda doesn't hear this.

So then Gabby, Paige and Grizelda start walking away from the table, with Gabby and Paige wishing Grizelda, "Happy Birthday!" 1 last time. After hearing that Grizelda will be happy and grateful replying, "I did have a Happy Birthday!" Then all 3 disappear around a corner and then it focuses on the remains of the cake again.

A few moments later, Margo and Paula will come over to Gabby's house, when they come across the door they knock. After the knocking, Gabby comes to the door and opens it, where Gabby says, "Welcome." Margo and Paula are happy to see Gabby and Gabby invites them to, "Come in." So Margo and Paula head inside. Then Grizelda comes up and sees them, as she's so happy they're here, while her face is still messy from the cake. Everyone sees it but they won't care. Then Grizelda asks, "What are you doing here?" Margo and Paula answer, "We are inviting you and your friends somewhere fun." At this moment, Paige comes up to Grizelda, they both heard this and they're excited, along with Gabby. So Gabby, Grizelda and Paige prepare to leave along with Margo and Paula.

We then skip to where they start arriving at where they are going. The park where a bunch of kids gathered waiting for Margo, Paula, Gabby, Grizelda and Paige to arrive. Girl Jordan, Mollie, Rachel, Stella, Lincoln, Clyde, Liam, Rusty and Zach are all standing out in the open of the park. Then they see Margo, Gabby, Paula, and Grizelda show up. Girl Jordan will point and tell the others that, "They're here." When they arrive, Margo, Gabby, Paula, Paige and Grizelda all say, "Hi!" With Gabby telling them, "We are here to celebrate Grizelda's birthday for 1 last time."

Lincoln then introduces who he is, "I'm Lincoln Loud and I already heard of the adventures that Gabby and Grizelda are involved in by a friend, like when they go to Liam's farm." Gabby replies, "Cool, which friend?" Lincoln then answers, "It was Stella." When Stella heard this she smiled. Lincoln then continues, "I also heard about both you Gabby and Stella going to the arcade and the girls throwing a birthday party in Girl Jordan's house for Grizelda." After Lincoln was done introducing himself, Clyde, Liam, Rusty or Zach also introduced themselves, in that exact order. Clyde goes first saying, "Hi I'm Clyde Mcbride." Then Liam says, "Howdy I'm Liam." Then Rusty says, "I'm Rusty." Then Zach goes last with him saying, "Hi I'm Zach." After that all the boys are done introducing themselves.

Then Gabby and Grizelda all say, "Hello," towards them. Then Lincoln tells everyone, "Me and everyone else who were here decide to go to a fun place, can you guess where?" Paige guesses, "Are we going to Dairyland?" Stella then confirms, "Yes we are going to Dairyland!" Lincoln then claims, "I have the tickets!" Gabby ask, "Where did you get the tickets?" Lincoln answers, "I snuck some money from Mom and dad's savings gallon." Gabby replies, "That's some pretty work." After that Lincoln gives the tickets to every boy and girl here. In this order: Lincoln, Clyde, Liam, Rusty, Zach, Gabby, Grizelda, Margo, Paula, Girl Jordan, Mollie, Rachel and Stella.

When all the kids got their tickets they start walking and leaving the park for Dairyland. While they are doing that Grizelda asks, "How are we going to get there?" Lincoln then answers, "Well I called my dad Lynn Sr to give us a ride on Vanzilla." Grizelda replies, "That's great." They then wait on the sidewalk until Lynn Sr. arrives in Vanzilla. Lynn Sr's reaction to seeing such a big group is that even if there are 13 kids here, he can still manage to fit them in Vanzilla, just like his family. But then Lynn Sr comments on Grizelda, "I wonder if she can fit in there?" Then Paige assures him, "We will make sure she does."

Lynn Sr then tells the kids to climb in. First 4 of the kids decide to help Grizelda get inside: Gabby, Paige, Lincoln and Stella, with Gabby telling Grizelda, "We are going to help you get inside of Vanzilla." With Grizelda replying, "Yippee!" So Lincoln and Stella go inside of Vanzilla first, with Grizelda then trying to fit in there. Lincoln and Stella pull Grizelda's arms by using their hands, while Gabby and Paige push Grizelda with their hands. They want Grizelda in fast, so after some more pushing and pulling, Grizelda is then taken to Vanzilla. When Lincoln, Stella and Grizelda found their seats in Vanzilla, the rest of the kids come inside there. Once everyone is seated, Lynn Sr. starts driving.
