(A/N - I hope for your continued support and will endeavor to improve my writing, but if you have any helpful tips for my story I'll listen. Though I would like some help with the classes of the other Gravity Falls Zodiacs and other characters. I have some in mind, but the cast is pretty big and that is not even mentioning secondary characters like Candy, Tambry and the like. Also, if you weren't aware I'll be adding secret messages for all you Gravity Fall mystery solvers!)

"Mabel, just what did I sign up for?"
'Okay, now that I can finally think for a moment let's try to get a grasp on the situation. I have no idea where I am, but if the text boxes are any clue then I am in some kind of resting area that is between the floors. Also, based on the game likeness of this whole "Tutorial" than what I just faced back there was the "skill check" where they let the players know what they are in for. Wait a second, didn't I unlock something else besides a title?' I thought looking back at the screens.
[Unlocked The Class Up Tree Due To Difficulty Level Nightmare]
'Class up? That's a game term similar to rank up! Meaning that I can evolve from my current class of being a Mendicant! I wonder what's the next stage of my evolution?' I clicked on the screen, making more appear before me.

"Okay, so if everyone gets a skill after they choose their class, then I didn't get anything since I chose Mendicant? Well lets just choose from the options. I could go for Apprentice Mage, I could get some magic which would be cool to have because it's magic! Then we have Rookie Guardsman with all of it going into Body, so maybe that's the strength stat, though the skill itself is good I don't want to be a muscle head. Strategist's skill implies I would need to be commanding something so unless I am working with anyone that's a no." I turned to the screen, "That leaves Mendicant II; hold up a second, that means Mendicant starts off with 0 stars, no wonder why I got a stick! Speaking of the stars, that's the rating system of the classes here so what happens when there's a class with 3 or more stars? I guess I'll see what that's like in the future."
Reaching out my hand selecting Mendicant II, it turned into an blue and black abstract picture of someone in torn up clothes that looked oversized while they were sitting in a sitting position with one leg bent, laying on a wall. They were even wearing a bamboo hat to cover their face.

[Prayer]
Those aren't bad choices to be honest, except prayer. Now I don't see anything bad between the last two options, but in a situation like this fear is gonna be my greatest asset so let's go with beginner's luck. It's unfortunate that I didn't get anything related to fighting, hopefully I can learn sooner rather than later.

"Will the participants of the First Stage of the Tutorial please come down to the lobby for a group announcement," a tone rang out as I and I guess others were called. Hesitant at first to leave the conformity of my room, still deciding to leave with my broken weapon in hand just in case… that's missing?!
"Where did it go?!" I look around.
[Mendicant II Weapon Updating…]
A staff drops from the air the same way my original weapon did, but this weapon was a bow staff with wrappings in the middle for grip. I reach to grab it… as it disappears… god dammit, again!?

"Well fine," Sighs, moving to the door. Opening the doors to find myself on the higher floors of the building, at least 3 floors from what I could tell, with an ornate staircase leading to the lower floors. Making my way down to the lower floors, I continue walking only to find an open space.
The floor was a deep, rich blue with white columns along the walls holding up the ceiling being accented by gold trims. Furniture was a mix of the same deep, rich blue with gold accents that created a nice color palette, above on the ceiling was a chandelier consisting of gold and what looked to be diamonds. Something that did stick out was a board with many papers on it.
Walking towards the board to read the papers, I attempt to remove one—
"Hey Dipper!" I quickly turn around to see a familiar redhead running towards me, "Dude, I'm so glad to see you here! You know what's going on here, I was working at the shack when I was sent to this weird place with a voice saying 'choose a class'?"
"Did you?" I ask wondering
"Yeah, I kinda panicked when I saw some of them disappearing," she said rubbing her arm, "It gave the class Berserker before sending me to go kill some rats! I don't remember much after using my 'skill' or whatever."
"What rank is the Berserker class?" inquiring further.
"What?" she looked confused, when I remembered the correct term.
"Sorry I meant stars, it should be next to your class name."
"Oh, it says my class is 3 stars or whatever that means." she says, looking back to me. That means her class is two whole ranks above me, which leads me to another question.
"What skills do you have?"
"Well besides Berserk, I have Great Weapon Mastery I and Battle Instinct which are both passive skills." she finishes making me pause.
"Passive?" quirking my eyebrow,
"Yeah, if you press on the skill you want to look at then it tells you what it does, for instance my Battle Instincts gives me better awareness while in a fight." she winks while pointing at me
I decided to do what she said and went to my status then selected each of my skills after scrolling down.

"Damn." I said in awe of my last skill, now realizing how dumb I was for not trying to understand what the skills could do. I might have lost out on a pretty crucial skill.
"Language man, hehe" she chuckles out.
"English." I respond back with a smirk.
"Okay, smart guy," she rolls her eyes, before refocusing, "so do you know how we got here?"
I mull over if I should tell Wendy about Mabel's regressor status, but it was not my business to share really. Mabel had told me and no one else, for some reason.
"I don—"I can explain why you are here," I looked around to see who cut me off, "though only once the rest of the participants get here. I'm not in the habit of repeating myself."
"Who?" I say looking around the room with Wendy, still not finding a body. Then a poof of smoke came from behind me with Wendy's eyes going a bit wide with shock. I look in the direction to see something, a little jarring to be honest.
They, or it, was quite a figure to be seen and would catch eyes in the human world for sure. The body was quite endowed to be sure; their breasts were pronounced with their lower half not slacking either. They were dressed in an all black suit besides the red tie that was loose and the white undershirt which showed cleavage, but the strange thing was that they weren't human after you took it all in. Their head after all was a bear's head with light brown fur and her frame was decently fit, you could see she stayed in shape.
"Hello~!" she nearly sang, "I'm the lovable cute, lovable bear-girl: Ms. Bear, and I will be your manager for your stay, yeah!"
She did a pose and made peace signs, to look cute.
"So this is where the lobby was," a new voice appeared, along with multiple footsteps, "we finally found it!"
A flood of different people entered the lobby which I never saw in Gravity Falls, confirming we weren't the only ones affected, but I didn't have any reaction until I was hit by a brown haired bullet almost knocking me down.
She still looked the same as when she was at the diner, just without the jacket and her sweater was still present around her waist.
"Hey bro bro, you made it!" she said, still hugging me as leaned near my ear and whispered, "did you do it?"
"Yeah I did what you asked," whispering back, sighing before continuing, "it was nerve racking since I didn't know what would happen, but it happened. I was curious if you didn't choose one either."
"Nope, I chose one," I gave her a look, "but before you say anything it was much better that I got his class than someone else!"
"Agh, fine." I gave up trying to understand and release her from the hug, "What class do you snatchup anyhow?"
"I've got a 5 star class of course," she replies offhandedly, "I'm a Necromancer!"
She looks at me with an expected look with both her hands on her hip and chest puffed out, earning some stares. I just raised an eyebrow.
"What, no reaction!? I tell you I chose a necromancer and you don't even bat an eye!? I mean I expected you to at least ask why I chose to go this route!" she said, puffing her cheeks and crossing her arms over her chest.
"Well Necromancer is a god class with a myriad of benefits so I assumed you had a reason for picking that. I am surprised that my twin, known for her boy frenzy and love of cute things, would choose to be a Necromancer though."
"Yeah, girl," Wendy added her two cents, "I thought you'd get something more, 'light' I guess. What, you panicked too?"
"Y-yeah, something like that." Mabel answered while looking away. Wendy buyed her horrible lie, and I had a feeling that in her last time in the tower she did choose something more 'light'.
"Well now that everyone is here we can start the introductions of the Tutorial's Second Stage, yeah!" she jumps in with her arms raised, "I don't like to repeat myself, but for the sake of introductions my name is Ms. Beer and I'll be your manager for as long as you stay here, yeah!"
She then gestures to the board behind herself like a showgirl.
"This board is called the Quest Board, where you will choose a quest paper then rip it in half to be transported to the start of your quest!" She continues cutely, "The rewards for these quests will be deposited in your inventory after completion, but be warned once you start a quest there are only two ways to escape it, yeah!"
"What are those?" someone asked.
"Well the only way to leave the quest grounds is to either complete the quest, which is somewhat expected, or," she pauses as she begins to smile and turn her head to the side, "die, yeah!"
"You can't be serious right!?"
"There is no way!"
"We want to go home!"
"Yeah, send us home!"
That's when her smile started to become strained and her eyes gained a cold glint in her eyes that wasn't present before.
"…I'm sorry to have deceived you my dear guests and I will endeavor to reprimand that mistake as any good manager should." she said ominously walking towards the front of the crowd, "Would everyone who wants to leave please line up on that side of the room, yeah?"
"'Bout damn time you stopped playing with us, bitch!"
They all said similar things as they walked to where she mentioned, one even shoving her with their shoulder as they walked. Wendy was about to join them, before my hand shot out and grabbed her hand stopping her in her tracks. Letting half of the group continue walking to the wall.
"What's wrong dude?" Wendy looked back, "We get a chance to leave this place, don't tell me you want to stay?"
"I just don't like the way that bear is talking," I answer, "I would love to leave too, yet the fact she is offering is suspicious to me."
"What do you mean?"
"She tells us of the quest board happily and then when people are complaining, demanding to go home, she does this with that face?" I say, "No way she has good intentions with that kind of face, I would know."
"What do you mean?" she asks, turning to me. My eyes are still locked on Ms. Bear's actions and how she is now facing those who want to leave and her back to us.
"Is this everyone, yeah?" she asks
"Yeah, now send us home you bitch!"
"Stop saying "yeah" at the end of your sentences, its fucking annoying!"
"Okay, yeah~!" She smiles widely, raising her right hand to the side, "Sadly, in order to return home you have to first fight the boss of the Tutorial and without all the necessary equipment, yeah~!"
"Hu—"
She snaps her fingers with a plastic smile plastered on her face, with closed eyes.
[Penalty Game Has Been Invoked]
"Goodbye, yeah!?" She says with sadistic joy. They begin to be sent away little by little as they begin to panic, now understanding their fate of not being sent back home. Insead being made as examples for those who disobey.
She turns around with a spin, arms wide out forming a 'y' with her body, her face seems to be euphoric. I don't think I have seen a bear with euphoria on its face, well I did see a cocaine bear though. This just hits differently.
"Now, let's keep going with the festivities, yeah?!" She walks back to the 'Quest Board', "I'm gonna explain why you need to take the quests, yeah! The quests, besides the rewards you'll gain, will give you points that can be used for food, healing and other items from our facilities that will improve your survival well after your stay, yeah! You can find these facilities in a tab next to your status for ease of use, though you won't be able to access it in the dungeon, yeah! Unfortunately for you, items above a certain rank cannot leave the tower though their effects do remain which is a plus, yeah! Well I'll bid you goodbye for now, yeah?"
She begins to skip away merrily leaving us with that information. I pull Wendy and Mabel to the side away from the remaining people. There was a heavy silence amongst us, with Wendy and me coming to terms with what we needed to do.
"Okay dude, how are we gonna get out of this?" Wendy asks, arms crossed breaking the silence.
"We need to go on those quests," I say, gaining Wendy's questionable stare.
"Dude are you actually going along with this?" She questions.
"We don't have any options if we want to survive this place. They are holding food and medical care behind a point system, which is not something we can avoid and I don't want to be sent to my death, thank you very much."
"Okay," stressing the word and pushing back hair with her hand, "Also, I wanted to ask something before we start planning."
"Go for it Wendy." I reply back.
"Why do you seem so relaxed about all this? I mean I get you lived through the weirdness of Gravity Falls, but you're a lot calmer than I thought you would be where we could die."
"Well when you barely survive almost getting killed by a hidden boss it does stuff to a person." I counter.
"Hidden boss?"
"Yeah, I didn't choose a class and was given Mendicant as my class and a stick, while also being put on a higher difficulty."
"A hidden boss after fighting 5 rats is a bit much though." Mabel joined in.
"20." I state
"Huh?" They both look at me confused.
"I had to kill 20 rats and then a boss with a knife that could use skills." I answered solemnly, "He managed to slash my chest, I would have died in there if it wasn't for a little luck."
"WHAT!?" Mabel rushed me and lifted my shirt, "There is still a scar!"
"Really?" I lift the shirt the rest of the way to look at myself. The scar was above my heart slanting down to under my right peck, "That's weird all my other wounds healed though. Is it that bad?"
"Nah man," Wendy wraps her arms around my shoulder as I lower my shirt, "Chicks dig scars anyway!"
"I'll take your word for it then," I say, opening my status to find the new addition, "First though, we need to start planning. I'm not letting you guys die here."
