''I don't really know if they have food for you buddy but I can look inside'' As Anna was walking towards the entrance. Anna pulled at the door handle but it didn't open. ''maybe I have to push?'' Anna tried pushing the door open but still nothing. Than she spotted the sign on the door. ''Open from 8.30am till 9pm'' Anna looked at her phone. ''shit, it's only 8am, I have to wait for a whole 30 minutes?! Well I don't know much about this neighborhood so i'll have to wait for it to open.'' Anna sat beside Toby on the ground. She rememberd the day like yesterday when she met Toby as a puppy. Anna begged her dad for a dog but she was always turned down. ''it's to much responsibility, and you would like it for a day and than I have to take care of the dog'' Anna's dad said. So Anna made a deal with him. ''I will give up smoking and put that money in maintaining the dog'' It was a long shot but her dad wanted for her to stop smoking. ''deal'' Anna's father said ''but if I see ONE cigarette, ONE sniff of smoke and I will send that dog to the pound. Are we clear here?'' Anna's dad voice was stern so she have to pull trough. Anna was allowed to smoke up her last pack while looking for the right dog for her. ''Deal'' Anna said, holding out her hand. ''Then we have a deal'' they shaked hands and Anna went straight to her room to look up dogs. It was a very hard week for Anna, quitting smoking wasn't as easy as she thought. Anna only had 3 cigarettes left so she had to save them up, but on the other hand she wanted a dog for as long as she could remember. Her dad have given her a guinea pig, a ferret and even a canary but she was quickly bored with them so they had to go away. Luckely the canary flew away emmaybe because Anna opened the cage on pupose /embut she would never tell him that! When Anna finnaly found the cutest, cool looking and best friend on the pound site she knew it instant. This is her dog! Anna ran downstairs and almost pushed her dad outside without saying anything. ''Ah yes. the dog is still available. You know the cost of maintaining this dog?'' the woman said. ''Yes, yes, I have read carefully and saved a lot. He's my best friend, I just know that. Can I see him?'' Anna is almost behind the counter ready to walk to the dogs. Finally Anna's father had come in and saw Anna almost standing with the dogs. "Anna, calm down for a moment. This dear lady is at work and you are distracting her. I'm sorry ma'am, my daughter has wanted a dog for years and now she has found one. Do you want me to keep you on a leash, Anna? Take it easy!'' Anna has no tail, but she walked back with her tail between her legs to stand next to her father. "Yes dad, I'll keep calm. I'm sorry ma'am. She named the dog Toby and was indeed her best friend from day 1. They did everything together. Anna has as much energy as Toby himself so it is a perfect match. When Anna got a boyfriend and he asked to live together, Toby was allowed to come along. Only her friend ''Hans'' hated the dog but did not show this to Anna. He was very violent when something didn't go his way. Anna's father-in-law found out about this when he saw Anna's bruises and confronted Hans. He denied everything but it was obvious. The father-in-law then sent Hans to his uncle to work on a farm. Anna and Hans never saw each other again after that. Anna has moved to another part of the city because her father died unexpectedly in an accident. Hans did not allow Anna to go to the funeral because otherwise ''there would be other men here who want to get her to bed'' Other men? It's all family. She never saw him again. The only family Anna has left is Toby./span/p
