Even alternate history chapters will be uploaded to show "What if?" certain events had been altered even slightly to change the history of the characters. We hope you enjoy the story! The Last Alarm Chronicles

Best place to start with this introduction I believe would be the reasoning behind the creation of this new story. Over the years I have been writing with my good friend, FiremanJim, many of the people following his story (Last Alarm) have also gone on to following me and my stories. However, many of you would have noticed that I have posted multiple stories in the past, but then stopped working on them because I had a change in either though or heart, deleted the story and then started over. Most of these reasons mostly being behind my terrible mental health in the past and with work being just terrible it left me in a terrible state where at time I wanted to give up on writing.

Then ofcourse the 2020 Pandemic happened…

For the first year when the outbreak happened and became a full-fledged pandemic on a global scale, with thousands of people dying daily it became too much stress and strain to want to continue writing a story based on a similar subject. And at the same time, my friend FiremanJim suffered numerous injuries in the line of duty as a Fireman (Yes guys, IRL he was a real fire fighter) with a condition that he previously suffered with several years ago and also having to cope with the loss of several family members. We have obviously kept in touch with each other, giving each other support as best as possible when you live nearly three thousand miles apart and as time has gone by, day by day, I believe that we are both steadily getting back on our feet. Maybe there will days we'll both need some more time either to ourselves and have time to process our lives but we have both come to an agreement of sorts that we need to get back into writing again.

On to what we've been up to though. FiremanJim is currently getting back into writing against after a considerable hiatus (For obvious reasons, don't you dare give him shit for it), and I have as you can see, been working on this new story.

Now, as I mentioned before I posted and deleted a lot of previous stories I wrote before, but after sitting down and talking with FMJ I've decided that I'll be writing an extended storyline using those previously posted stories to cover the history in the "Highschool of the Dead - Last Alarm" universe after the Manga/Anime timeline that we know exists, try our best to extend past the point where the series was cancelled and far into the future. Plans have already been talked about, written details for and now we're in the process of planning out where we want to take the story. We had ideas that take place decades I the future and I also have a plan for a chapter that takes place 100+ years in the future where the future of humanity that has managed to rebuild looks back at the events of the outbreak and actually manages to learn from their mistakes.

But until that time, we hope that you'll stick with us as we write our story that we hope you'll continue to read and enjoy for many more months and years to come.
