He really should've been surprised by this, but since becoming a sorcerer, Yuta had lost the ability to be surprised. Standing in the middle of the street of a city he had never heard of, Yuta thought to himself about how he ended up in this situation.
He was in the colonies, trying to keep another group of families safe when a rather powerful cursed spirit appeared out of nowhere. He assumed it was because of his insanely high cursed energy that he was drawing these absurdly powerful curses to his location.
The curse had a triangular shape with three heads and two hands that floated in midair; it was one of the weirder-looking ones.
Yuta was already right in front of the curse with his sword already cutting towards it with untraceable speed. It should've been easy to kill it, and it was, but the portal curse opening at the last second was what made things go south.
"I need to pay more attention next time." Prodigy Child thought to himself as he now stood in the front of the Vale City library.
When he thought about it more, he realized that he wasn't fully to blame; he had been fighting nonstop, last stopping against Ryu, Uro, and the special-grade sorcerers he fought before that battle.
It was a weird experience, teleporting with a portal opposed to Gojo-Sensei teleporting him around.
"All I could do is find someone to ask questions I guess," Yuta thought to himself as he started walking towards the part of the city where he could see more lights and activity; it was already nighttime by the looks of it.
Second Strongest's thoughts went to his friends as he started navigating the European-looking city. He hoped they were okay. Panda, Inumaki, and of course Maki. They were strong on their own. Certainly didn't need him.
Yuta also could sense some weird but oddly familiar energy in the air as well. It wasn't curse energy but also something that varied from person to person from what he sensed so far. Some people's outputs were more dominant than others as he started to walk past them.
Which also made him forget that he was supposed to ask them a question.
Turning back to the person he just passed, Yuta called out. "Excuse me?"
"Can you tell me where exactly I am?" The cursed child asked, really needing to get home. His friends and schoolmates were strong, but there were people around who only he could handle as well.
The lady blinked at him as if he was asking a weird question, but she answered slowly nonetheless. "Umm... Vale?"
"Well shit." Yuta thought, normally he wouldn't be one to curse but at a time like this even he had limits. Because he never even heard of such a place before. Granted he was never an expert on geography but the city looked grand enough to be known around the globe at least.
"Which continent is that on again?" Yuta asked slowly as if he was dreading hearing the answer.
The lady blinked at him once more, and now her face morphed into one of confusion. He probably looked like a lost child now that he thought about it.
"Sanus?" The poor woman answered back.
Yuta probably looked calm outside but inside he was screaming like that day at an elementary school mission with Maki. It was his first day and he was very inexperienced. His new situation once again put him into that position.
Not wanting to make the already awkward atmosphere even worse, the cursed child replied with a single 'thank you' and walked away, painfully aware that the young woman had looked at him for a few seconds before hurriedly getting away.
Now alone once again Yuta decided to think as he walked.
"I'm in a city called Vale, which is located on the Sanus continent. But I've never heard of them." Slowly, as he started to get stressed out, Yuta began to question if he was even on Earth anymore. In hindsight, it was a crazy thought, but with sorcery, you never know. It's not like his sensei isn't locked away in a completely separate realm or anything.
Rika sensing his distress, tried to calm him down with her presence. Though Yuta didn't notice how Rika's slightly more presence distributed the street lights and people on the opposite side of the street.
Thanks, Rika, but I'm fine. Just another day for me at this point." Yuta said with a little smile. His anxiety was already starting to lessen. He lifted his head up to the sky to see the sight and help him even more. But the scene that greeted him caused it to rise even higher than it had ever been before.
"WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MOON?" Yuta yelled clearly not caring who saw or heard him. The moon wasn't whole and some pieces of it were floating around it.
Yuta muttered to himself, "Was it some curse or Sukuna? Maybe Kenjaku had something to do with it?"
Yuta forced himself to calm down. It wouldn't do any good to be in distress at the moment. Being off-guard was what had put him here in the first place.
"Maybe I'm in a different realm. Wouldn't be too impossible, I guess. I mean, nothing could touch Gojo and I rejected someone's death when I was ten years old." Yuta thought to himself. If that was the case, the most important thing now would be finding a way back, but did this place even have Sorcerers or even curses users?
He still had his own cursed energy, but he could sense that same residue within himself as well. Probably another aspect of this world.
Maybe he should try contacting the officials. But would they even believe him? He wasn't one hundred percent sure himself.
"I need to wait until morning most likely. At this hour, everyone who could be helpful is probably asleep; if I had to guess."
Now once again walking in a random direction, He was doing that a lot huh? Yuta started to think about how the situation he found himself in is crazier than anything he heard from anyone.
"I wonder if anyone else has traveled between worlds like this before?"
Now coming to stop in the front of a store called "Dust Till Dawn." Yuta started to look around for maybe a hotel or some sort.
"Will they even accept yen?" Being a special grade sorcerer, despite being only a second-year student, Yuta was still considered an anomaly in the sorcerer world. As such, he was getting paid for his missions, so he had plenty of money.
Of course, his thought process was abruptly halted when a man in a black suit flew out of the store window.
Shifting his gaze to the store, Yuta also saw a girl fly out of it, making the day even weirder, if that was possible.
From a passing glance, He saw her as petite, with black hair that reached her shoulders. A cape like Superman hung from her neck. The most shocking part was the fact that she casually pulled out a whole scythe and stabbed it into the ground.
Curious, Yuta started walking towards the group, stepping over the guy who had been sent flying after checking on him and making sure he was okay.
Meanwhile, another group walked out of the damaged store, clearly following the man with the orange hair and bowler hat. He was wearing a white coat and carrying a very cool-looking cane.
The man in the bowler hat also had the highest amount of energy that Yuta had sensed thus far, meaning he was someone dangerous.
"Get her." Stylish guy ordered.
Now sensing a fight brewing Yuta dashed to the girl's side. The henchman from the looks of it was weak in the sense of energy so Yuta decided to just stick to his reinforced fists.
"AHHH!" The girl was clearly startled by his sudden appearance.
"Sorry".Throwing only a side glance at her, Yuta threw a punch to the nearest goon. Of course, he held back and sent him crashing into the closest wall.
"Great, now there are two of them," the leader said in a very dramatic tone.
While Yuta delivered another punch to his next target, the sycthe-wielding girl used her oversized weapon and her kicks to dispatch the criminals that were coming her way.
"Hello, my name is Ruby. Thank you for the assistance." She shouted as she dropp kicked a henchman with the help of her weapon.
"Yuta Okkotsu." Prodigy answered as he dodged a painfully slow sword swing from the goon.
"Did that thing just fired?" Yuta thought and round kicked a guy in the face.
Yuta and Ruby delivered the final two strikes to the remaining pair of henchmen and sent them flying back to the gentleman's feet.
"You were worth every cent. Truly, you were." The Gentleman Thief stated as he approached the duo.
"Well red and white, I think we can all agree that it has been an eventful evening."
"You don't know the half of it." Yuta thought.
"And as much as I love to stick around, I'm afraid this is where we part ways," Orange Hair said, finishing his sentence by opening the top of his cane and firing something from it.
Sensing the same foreign energy on the projectile, Yuuta suddenly dashed in front of the girl, looking as if he had teleported from afar and sliced the bullet in half.
"Did he move faster than me?" Ruby thought with very wide eyes.
Taking advantage of the opening provided by the shot, the criminal leader disappeared from view. Internally cursing, Yuta turned to the girl and asked her.
"You okay?"
"Of course I'm okay. That was so cool. Was it your semblance that made you move that fast? If so, it's so cool to meet another person like me." Ruby answered with glee in her eyes and speed that even put the fastest sorcerers to shame.
"How about we talk after we deal with the robbery?" Yuta asked. As he stored the word semblance in his mind and the fact that she had speed-based abilities.
Ruby looked at the store owner who had come out and asked, "Is it okay if we go after him?"
Seeing the criminal on a ladder, climbing, and receiving an affirmative nod from the store owner, Yuta grabbed Ruby by her shoulders and reinforced his legs with cursed energy. Leaping upwards, he reached the roof in a single jump.
Which caused an excited shriek from Ruby. "You're like a superhero! Can even jump that high!"
Yuta ever so humbly rubbed his neck, a little tinge of red could be seen on his cheeks and ear tips. "It's not a big deal or anything."
Turning their attention to the escaping criminal, Ruby shouted, "Hey!" This action caused the felon to stop in his tracks.
"Persistent." Orange haired man muttered.
A plane-like vehicle suddenly shot from the ground level, giving the thief the opportunity to climb aboard.
This day was starting to look like a fever dream by this point. Criminals who looked like fashion models, girls carrying around giant weapons. Now that he thought about it though, those things would be considered very tame in his life.
"End of the line, kids," Stylish Man said as he threw a red glowing crystal towards our heroes. Yuta, once again sensing an even bigger energy output, was preparing to jump ahead to protect Ruby.
As soon as the crystal hit the ground, Yuta dashed forward, and at the same time, the thief shot it. Now seeing things from a slowed perspective, Yuta could see the crystal explode and a blonde woman descend from the sky.
"Her energy is even bigger than the robber's. These people are not very good at hiding their presence." Yuta thought while dashing back to Ruby; he had decided she was the weakest one here. "Although her eyes give off some weird energy as well."
"WHOHOHOHO!" The criminal shouted, but his celebration was cut short when the smoke cleared. Blonde woman stood in front of the two teens, holding a purple glyph.
"Hmmm," the woman said in a very uninterested tone. Yuta couldn't have heard it if not for his supernatural senses. The woman pushed back her glasses and waved her riding crop, sending miniature purple laser beams towards the aircraft.
The effects of the laser caused the aircraft to shake, sending the criminal tumbling towards the pilot's seat. "We have a hunteress," he said in a panicked voice. A red-dressed woman left her seat and walked towards the open hatch. Leaving orange haired man to the controls.
The Hunteress wasn't finished though. She sent a purple ball above the plane, creating black storm clouds.
"What kind of technique is that? Weather manipulation perhaps, but she sent those lasers earlier." Yuta murmured while still in his combat stance.
"Technique? It's probably her semblance," Ruby said with childlike wonder, not caring what Yuta called it.
Yuta thought. "Maybe that's what it's called here."
The huntress swung her crop down, causing ice spikes to rain down on the vehicle. One of them nearly hit the new pilot. The red-dressed woman finally came into view and ignited her hands with flames.
As soon as the flame was lit, Yuta felt an overwhelming surge of energy. It was larger than anyone else, excluding himself.
Realizing it was the biggest threat, the second-year sped towards the flames and swung through them with ease, successfully dispatching them. Feeling the ground getting extremely hot, Yuta jumped back and avoided an explosion. He didn't want to find out if it would damage him or not.
Transforming the debris from the explosion into a giant spear, Huntress sent it hurtling towards the plane while the fire wielder blocked it with her pyrokinesis abilities. Once again, she manipulated the debris and created another spear, this time damaging the upper front of the plane.
The final attack consisted of the huntress creating three separate lines from debris and sending them all towards the plane; however, the fire bender was ready and repelled it with an explosion.
Meanwhile, Yuta was debating whether or not he should bring out more of his abilities. Next to him, Ruby was just fangirling.
As soon as the plane started leaving, Ruby turned her sycthe into a sniper rifle and started shooting.
Yuta looked at the weapon in amazement. He was also aware of the look the huntress was sending his way. Clearly sizing him up after seeing him deflect all those fireballs.
The fiery woman blocked all of the bullets with a wall of flame. In response, she created a ring of fire around the trio. Sensing the danger, Yuta grabbed both women and dashed back to the edge of the rooftop where the thief had climbed from. Suspects using the moment to escape, all the trio could do was watch.
After a few tense seconds, the silence was broken by Ruby. "You're a hunteress. Can I have your autograph?"
And Cut. Well Yuta is my favorite JJK character and top 5 anime characters of all time so I just wanted to bring a spotlight to my Goat. I know it's a short chapter but it was kinda easing into things rather than me trying to get into everything really fast. I will try to make sure that Yuta will have an effect on the story, not just watch the canon timeline while commenting on stuff. You probably can guess where this is gonna go for the next chapter. The next one will be short too but after that word count will go up. Thanks for deciding to spend your time reading this. See ya.
SideNote: I don't know about the pairings since JJK is not focused on that but a lot of RWBY fanfics have it. So let me know your thoughts.
