Adrien sighed as his legs dangled over the pier. Marinette was at sewing class, and he was lonesome. Feeling coped up, he'd taken a walk along the boardwalk. "Hey, Adrien!" He looked up, a smile growing on his face when he saw Alya. "Hey," Adrien raised his hand in greeting.

"What are you up to?" Adrien asked. "Looking for scoops for the Ladyblog. You don't have any scoops, do you?" "Sorry, no. But I…." Adrien paused as he heard a small bell pinging and the distinct sound of bicycle wheels. "Speaking of scoops, Andre's here. Want to get a cone?" Alya nodded. "I'm always down for ice cream!"

"Why, Adrien Agreste, and Alya Cesiare! Come for some ice cream, hm?" He rubbed his chin. Two minutes later they had their cones, going over to one of the benches to eat. "Do you play Animal Crossing, Alya?" Adrien asked. "Do I? Is Tom Nook collecting Bells?" "Marinette's having a party and everyone from school is invited. You should come." "I'll be there. Oops!" Alya giggled as in her excitement her cone found Adrien's nose. "No worries," Adrien laughed. "Maybe you'd like to come over and play until Marinette's class is over?" "That'd be fun," Alya said, standing up. "But first I need to get a new cone."

Adrien leaned against the railing as he waited, a smile now lighting his face. Alya was a very nice girl, and was glad Marinette had her for a friend and that they were friends too.

Adrien may have come to the pier feeling alone, but that feeling disappeared, almost as quick as his cone.
