"Yo. I'm Kichirou Hyūga. And this is my story."
Somewhere within the Land of Lightning... a city with rocky mountains in the terrain had been devastated and buildings had been leveled by the destruction of a great battle. The sun was setting and the city was left in ruins...
A tall man standing at a hundred and eighty-two centimeters tall and dressed in a Konoha Jōnin outfit, which consists a dark green Konoha jacket, a dark blue forehead protect with a leaf symbol in the center... a pair of dark blue pants, a dark long-sleeved shirt and a pair of Konoha Shinobi sandals. The man had long and dark spiky brown hair wrapped in a ponytail, that goes down to his upper back. He also had fair skin for a male Hyūga, and a pair of Byakugan within his eyes.
"Now, for those that are wondering... "What am I doing in the Land of Lightning?" Well, you see... I had asked to receive a mission from Hokage-sama, Tsunade to discover and recover an ancient scroll from within the Land of Lightning that talks about the Rikudō Sennin. I completed the task. But, what I was about to discover next..."
Kichirou Hyūga was wondering in a ruined city, looking at all the damage done to the buildings and craters within the far mountains. He also activated his pair Byakugan. He turned his head to Two o'clock and narrowed his eyes when he discovered something.
Meanwhile...
"I'm thirty years old and my Birthday is on February, the Twenty-Forth. I was born within the Hyūga Clan's main family."
Hidan and Kakuzu were ordered to hunt down and capture the Two Tails' Jinchūriki. And they had technically succeeded.
Kakuzu had read a map and crossing out the places where they had looked for their assigned Jinchūriki. Kakuzu had crossed out a checkpoint within the Land of Lightning on the map.
Hidan lied on the ground on top of his bloodied diagram performing a ritual. His skin was mostly black and white markings appeared on his body like an X-ray skeleton. One of his retractable spears was impaled into his chest and he had been lying on the ground for some time.
The Two-Tails' Jinchūriki, named Yugito Nii had been subdued by the Zombie Duo, known as Hidan and Kakuzu. Her body was hanging a few dozen feet high on a wall with both her hands above her head impaled by one of Hidan's black retractable spears.
Yugito's body twitched as a sign of her still being alive.
Suddenly, Hidan's black skin turned white again and the white markings on his body had disappeared as he kept lying on the diagramhe made.
"It's been thirty minutes, Hidan. Aren't you done, yet?" Kakuzu asked as he kept looking at the map he was reading.
"Shut up, Kakuzu! Don't interrupt the ritual!" Hidan yelled at Kakuzu. In another ten five seconds, Hidan had painfully removed his spear from his chest, which caused him to groan in pain. "Ow..."
"You perform that stupid ritual each and every time. Can't you ignore it for once?" Kakuzu asked, annoyingly.
Hidan annoyingly sighed and sat his upper body up from the diagram. "I find it annoying, but a commandment is a commandment! It must he obeyed! And how dare you use-"
As Hidan was lecturing Kakuzu for trying to make him to skip the Jashin ritual, two white balls wrapped in paper had suddenly by tossed by the two of them.
"Eh?" Hidan suddenly looked down at the rubble and noticed the white ball rolling by his left foot.
"Huh?" Kakuzu quickly noticed the other white ball that rolled near his right knee.
As the two Akatsuki members stared at the balls, they quickly noticed the white balls were wrapped in paper. Both Hidan and Kakuzu had gasped. And when they did...
The two white balls were revealed to be smoke bombs as they both had exploded near them. Dark gray smoke had quickly covered the radius where Hidan and Kakuzu were sitting. Both Hidan and Kakuzu quickly jumped back.
'Tch! Smoke bombs!' Hidan thought.
'Someone's here!' Kakuzu thought.
Both Hidan and Kakuzu landed next to each other when they jumped at least ten yards back away from the smoke bomb explosion.
"Reinforcements?" Kakuzu asked.
'This is getting annoying!' Hidan then withdrew his red triple-bladed scythe and pointed it directly at the smoke. "Show yourself, intruder! If you do, then Lord Jashin might have mercy on you!"
Both Hidan and Kakuzu had waited until the smoke had cleared up to see who attacked them. But as they did... they made a big discovery.
"What the-" Hidan gasped when he noticed that the Jinchūriki, Yugito Nii had suddenly disappeared from the wall that she was subdued to.
"She's gone!" Kakuzu had a shocked and angry look on his face when he realized Yugito had disappeared.
Hidan had ran back to his diagram and looked up at the wall and stared at the place where Yugito had been impaled. "Danmit! I knew that she had called reinforcements before she took us head on!" Hidan had cursed. "It must've been before she turned into that giant blue cat beast!"
"Shut up, Hidan, and help me find the Jinchūrik!" Kakuzu scowled as he quickly fell in an annoyed and angry temper. He begun searching by moving his body around and his head was shifting left and right.
"Alright! Alright! I'll look. Sheesh! The Jinchūriki couldn't have gotten far." Hidan brushed it off while starting his search for Yugito with Kakuzu. They decided to split up and look within the ruins.
As Kakuzu was jumping from place to place and searching through rubble, he thought of something. 'How could I be so careless? I should've kept my guard open, even when Hidan was performing that stupid ritual!' Kakuzu had momentarily stopped near a building ruin. He hardened his right fist and punched the wall down. Causing the building to partially collapse. 'Whoever did this. Whoever went and rescued the Two Tails... just know that your heart will be mine when I find you.' Kakuzu growled in anger.
Meanwhile...
Within the same terrain as Hidan and Kakuzu... were searching for Yugito's missing body... Kichirou Hyūga was seen running from the scene with the severely injured Yugito Nii on his back, while fleeing from the scene and back to Konoha.
"Yeah, that's right. I just pulled a fast one on the Akatsuki and rescued Yugito from right under their noses."
Brief Flashback
Kichirou Hyūga was hiding from the Akatsuki from many yards away from them. He hid most of his body behind a pillar and watched Hidan perform the ritual while Yugito was impaled to a wall a few dozen feet high about Hidan and Kakuzu. While hiding, Kichirou Hyūga then performed a Tiger hand sign and used the Camouflage Jutsu to sneak in close. Aa he had moved close enough toward the Akatsuki duo's range... he slowly carefully reached into his back pocket and grabbed two smoke bombs and gently tossed it toward the Akatsuki duo.
As Hidan was lecturing Kakuzu for trying to make him to skip the Jashin ritual, two white balls wrapped in paper had suddenly by tossed by the two of them.
"Eh?" Hidan suddenly looked down at the rubble and noticed the white ball rolling by his left foot.
"Huh?" Kakuzu quickly noticed the other white ball that rolled near his right knee.
As the two Akatsuki members stared at the balls, they quickly noticed the white balls were wrapped in paper. Both Hidan and Kakuzu had gasped. And when they did...

While the zombie Akatusuki was trying to evade the smoke, the male Hyūga then jumped in the smoke and onto the wall where Yugito Nii was pinned to. He quickly grabbed the retractable spear and removed it from Yugito's palms. Then, he grabbed her waist and made a run for it the opposite direction from the Akatsuki. But quietly.
End Brief Flashback
"Come on, now. Did you all really think that a simple Hyūga like me could ever take on a terrifying duo that just leveled an abandoned city? I think not. I do take crazy missions, sometimes... but I'm not suicidal. When I was a teenager, mastered the Gentle Fist art and awakened the Byakugan on my own. And after that, I soon took interest in other arts of the Shinobi-such as hiding your presence by camouflaging and using tactics by setting up traps."
"Nngh!" Yugito weakly groaned while unconscious.
Kichirou Hyūga heard Yugito weakly groaning in pain and he did not stop running. He knew that Yugito was badly hurt and needed medical attention, soon. 'Don't worry, Yugito I'm going to take you to a place where you might be safe. For now.' Kichirou thought as he continued running and running with Yugito on his back.
Author's Note: Kichirou is inspired by Ryoji Kaji from Neon Genesis Evangelion when it comes to both personality and secrets.
Also, the relationship between Kichirou Hyūga and Yugito Nii will be expalined in the next chapter.
