Forgot your Umbrella?

Bonnibel

I let out a long strained sign, I caught Ms. Trunks, the Librarian casting me a sweet smile in the corner of my eye. The rain, hit the roof and it was basically audible through the entire school. I suppose that's what I get for staying late, tutoring and studying.

Pitter Patter...

The walk to the door, painfully long, and as I got closer, the offensive smell of rain hit me right in the face. Placing my palm flat against the window, I feel the cold and condensation almost seep into my skin.

. . .

Marceline

I watch as Kelia heads down the other hallway, with Guy and Bongo waving. I close the door of the band room, with a small and soft resounding click.

Pitter Patter..

The rain hit the metal plates of the roof, echoing it through the halls. I turn up to the main door, with a grin. Autumn is coming around, and I can't wait.

. . .

I forgot my umbrella… I forgot my umbrella! Oh glob, one day I don't check the weather. Scoffing, I search the buckets that usually have extra umbrellas to find them bare. I kick one of the wired cans, with a disgruntled sigh.

. . .

I slither up behind this, pretty but absolutely angry ginger. I guess they do mean it when they say redhead. I grab my umbrella, from my backpack reaching it out to her.

. . .

"Forgot your Umbrella, Ginger?"

I sharply turn, startled and.. albeit, a little flustered. This absolutely beautiful girl grinned at me, with a reached out brown rundown umbrella. I glance up at her quizzically, then back down to the umbrella.

She's grinning at me, which then turns into a soft smile. She makes a small gesture with it, to take it.

. . .

"Thank you"

This pretty ginger had a few pink streaks in her hair, faded but still evident. She took it from my hands, with an appreciative smile. Her lips turned up at the corners, just a bit.

I feel myself begin to grin, and pass by her through the doors. I feel her eyes follow me, till I make eye contact with her for the third time.

. . .

The light hazel eyed girl's smile had turned into this grin, almost like she was up to no good but something about it made me smile back.

She winked and I felt my cheeks go pink, "For someone who seems like they have it together, a little odd you forgot to check the weather!" She scurried off with that remark.

. . .

I heard a small scoff behind me as I ran into the rain, pulling my hood up above my hair. But unknown to me, a small smile too.

I passed the bike rack with a sharp turn grinning to myself with a few jogs in my step, making my way to the bus stop on the other side.

The rain got lighter as one stepped on a bus, and the other walked home with the used brown umbrella and a steel handle.

Both unknown to who each other was thinking about, as they settled in for the night. The rain stopped by 9, some leaves falling and the moon's light reflecting off the water left on the streets.
