Chapter 2: Supporting a Friend
At the nurse office, Dora and Kate were sitting together waiting for the nurse to come in and check on Kate.
Kate felt worried.
"What's the matter, Kate?" asked Dora.
"I'm worried that they're going to do something bad with my hand!" said Kate.
"Cálmate, Kate. The nurse helps us feel better by putting bandages, getting our eyes checked." said Dora with a calm tone.
"Are you gonna stay by me, Dora?" asked Kate.
"Of course, amiga. I'll be there to support you." said Dora.
"Thanks." said Kate as she hugs Dora.
The nurse lady came in and said "Hola, chicas! What seems to be the problem?"
"Kate fell and got a bruise on her hand." said Dora.
"Don't worry, Kate. I promise I wont hurt you. I'm here to make you feel all better." said the nurse lady.
"And I'll be right on your side." said Dora.
Kate smiled and Dora.
"Now let's get you something to clean your bruise." said the nurse lady as she got the paper towel and put water on it and clean Kate's bruise on her hand.
Dora holds Kate's hand to support her.
The nurse put a bandaid on Kate's hand.
"There you go, amiga. Your hand is all better." said the nurse lady.
"Yay!" said Kate.
"All right, Kate! You were so brave!" said Dora as she gave Kate a high-five.
"Thank you very much!" Dora said to the nurse lady.
"Happy to help!" said the nurse lady.
Dora and Kate left the nurse's office.
"So, Kate, how did you feel?" asked Dora.
"I felt okay and calm, thanks to you, Dora." said Kate.
