Chapter 3: The Talk

At 5:20 AM in the afternoon, Kate was sitting on the bench all alone by herself. She was looking at the band aid on her hand.

Dora walked next to Kate and said "Hey, Kate. Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine." said Kate.

"Is something wrong? You seem a little sad." said Dora.

Kate looked at her and said "Well, when we were playing tag, I just got hurt and tripped on that rock. And I felt like I won't be able to do art again."

"Hey, Kate, don't worry. You're better now." said Dora, holding her shoulders.

"I know, but I'm afraid I'll fell and get hurt again when I run outside." said Kate, worried.

"Hey, Kate. I don't think you'll get hurt again. You just got to be a little careful. I don't think you should ever play outside again. Your my friend and we would never play without you." said Dora.

"But, I don't think I should play tag anymore." said Kate.

"Why not, Kate?" asked Dora.

"Because I'm afraid I'll get hurt again." said Kate.

"Kate, I never said you shouldn't play anymore. Your our friend and we would never push you out.

You're good at acting, you're good at art, you're good painting. That's why I like you as a friend." said Dora.

Kate blushed a little and asked "Y-You really mean that, Dora?"

"Of course I do, Kate. You are the greatest friend we could ever have." said Dora.

Kate lightened up and hugged Dora and said "Oh, Dora! That's such the sweatest thing you've ever said to a friend! Thank you!"

"Your welcome, Kate!" said Dora as she hugged Kate back.

The two stayed hugged until Alana, Emma, Nayia showed up.

"Hey, guys. Do you mind if we join you?" asked Emma.

"Sure!" said Kate.

"There's more for three!" said Dora.

Alana, Emma, Nayia joined them.

The Explorer girls watched the sunset.
