Chapter Three: A very long day!
Tru's sleeps through the rest of her shift and does not wake until she hears Harrison and Davis talking the next morning. Also, the sunshine is coming through the window and shines into Tru's eyes. Tru sits up and starts rubbing her eyes. Harrison walks over to his sister and he feels Tru's forehead with his right hand. Then he pulls his sister up from the couch and Davis hand's Tru her jacket, purse and a gym bag. Tru looks at her brother and then look at Davis, with a look on her face that says what is going on?
"Tru's don't act like you have no idea what is going on. You are sick and you need to go home."
"Ahem Harrison's why are you here?"
"I just wanting to check on you and see how you are feeling this morning."
"Ahem oh and I feel the same as I did last night."
"That is not good Tru. Go home and gets some sleep. I have to go now or I will be late for work."
"Ok, tell dad that I say hi."
"I will Tru."
Harrison walks out of the break room and Tru throws her jacket and backpack onto the break room couch. Then Tru puts the strap of the gym bag that she holding onto her right shoulder. Tru looks up at Davis with a look that say if you say anything to my brother about me being pregnant, I will hit you. Davis knows by the look on Tru face that she thinks he told Harrison that she is pregnant.
"I did not tell your brother that you are pregnant Tru. I just tell him that you are sick."
"Coughing good because I want to tell Jensen that he is going to be a father first, coughing. Then I will let everyone else know that I am pregnant."
"Go home and get some rest. If you are feeling too unwell to work tonight, give me a call and let me know that you have to take a sick day."
"Coughing ok Davis I am going to change then I will head out."
"Why are you changing outfits when you are going home?"
"Because I have to swing by the university to drop my homework off to my professors and to let them ah-choo knows I am sick and cannot make class. Then I going to tell Jensen that I am pregnant and that I am still sick and cannot stay for the study group."
"Ok."
Tru walks out of the break room and through the process/autopsy room and slowly walks to the double doors. A minute later, Tru reaches the door of the process/autopsy room, as sneezes into her left elbow and pushes the right door open with her right hand. She walks into the hallway and then slowly walks down the hallway toward the ladies' restroom. Simultaneously Tru sees her older sister Meredith walking toward her. Tru thinks to herself great what does Meredith want for me. Also, why I am I the first one that she wants to see after getting out of rehab. Meredith's reaches Tru and stop in front of her sister, which make Tru stop walking. Then the two of them look at each other. Then Meredith gives her little sister a big bear hug. Several moments later, Meredith lets go of her sister and then gives Tru a worry look. Meredith feels Tru's forehead with her left hand and Tru puts her left hand onto her stomach. Meredith then notices that Tru is holding her stomach and gives her sister another worry look.
"You are running a fever and look awful Tru. Why are you still at work?"
"I am leaving after I change my clothes."
"Go home and then change into a pair of pajama."
"I have to swing by the university to give my professor my homework, ah-choo. Also, let my professor know that I am sick coughing and cannot make class. Then I have to let Jensen, Avery, and Tyler know that I am sick and cannot stay for the study group."
"Just email your homework to your professors and call Jensen's to tell him about being sick and not being able to make the study group."
"Ah-choo I would love to use the computer here to email my professors to tell them that I am sick and put the homework in an attachment, coughing. However, I cannot because several of my professors require me to see them in person when I am sick and hand in my homework in person, ah-choo. Also, I would just love to text Jensen and the rest of the study group to let them know I am sick. However, I cannot do that because I have to tell Jensen something in person."
"Go to the university to talk to your professors and turn in your homework. However, sent the study group a text to tell them that you are sick. I am sure that whatever you have to tell Jensen in person can wait until he gets home tonight. You are sick and I cannot remember the last time you were sick."
"What I have to tell Jensen cannot wait ah-choo. Also, the last time I was sick was two weeks after mom death and I have not been sick since."
"Are you pregnant?"
"Yes."
"Congratulation on the pregnancy sis, go get change and then head to the university. Once at the university go see your professors to tell them that you are sick and drop off your homework. Then go tell Jensen that he is going to be a dad. However, have Jensen tell the study group that you are sick and cannot make it."
"Thanks and Meredith do not say anything to Harrison, dad, Jordan, Claire and Oliver because I want to tell them."
"I will not tell them. Now go change and I will call you in a few days. Also, when you are feeling better, the two of us can go out to dinner."
"Ah-choo having dinner with you sounds great. However, why did you come to see me this morning?"
"I miss you and I wanting to see you. In addition I want to tell you in person that I finish rehab yesterday."
"Oh, coughing. I will talk to you on the day that you call me."
The two of them walk down the hall together and when they reach the restroom door, Tru stop walking. She pushes open the restroom door and then walks inside the restroom. Simultaneously Meredith walks over to the elevator and Tru is changing into the red shirt and jeans she brought. A few minutes later Tru walks into the break room and walks over to the couch to get her jacket and backpack. Meanwhile, at the university Jensen is in the anatomy lab and he is getting everything ready for the study group. He already has the surgery instruments out and is now getting Mrs. Dew body out of the storage cooler, which is the body his group is assign to work on.
Fifteen and half minutes later Jensen is flapping through his notes and he is trying to decide where the group should start at, when the study groups start. Tru walks into the lab and he stops flapping through his notes. He then walks over to Tru and he sees that Tru is holding her stomach and looks worse then last time he sees her. He takes his girlfriend right hand and then he leads Tru over to a stool. However, Tru does not seat down on the stool. She looks at Jensen and start to talk.
"Coughing I think that you are the one that should take a seat."
"You are the one who is sick?"
"Just take a seat on a stool, because I am about to tell you something big and it might give you a shock."
"Ok, Tru."
Tru start coughing into her left elbow and simultaneously Jensen takes a seat on the stool. Also, Tru pulls a stool out that is beside Jensen with her right hand. Tru takes a seat on the stool and she continues coughing. After a minute Tru stops coughing and then she takes a hold of Jensen right hand. Tru sets Jensen hand onto her stomach and Jensen looks at Tru, as Tru is taking a deep breath. Tru looks at Jensen and has a smile on her face.
"I am pregnant!"
"Can you say that again?"
"I am pregnant!"
"That what I thought you say Tru and do you still have a fever?"
"Yes and my throat is sore too. Also, my nose is congestion, I keep sneezes and I have a cough. Also, I cannot keep anything down."
"It sounds like you have the flu and maybe the stomach flu. How many weeks into the pregnancy are you?"
"Let see it is Thursday, February 24 and that means I am three and half weeks into the pregnancy."
"Are you going to stay for the study group and are you going to classes afterwards?"
"I am feeling too sick to take part in the study group today and I am not going to any of my classes today. In addition I have already stopped by each of my professor's offices. I turn in my homework and let them know that I am sick and will not be in class. I am going to go home and get some sleep."
"That Is fine Tru and I will see you when I get home."
"Ok, will you walk me out to my car."
"Yes."
Tru and Jensen each stand up from the stools on which they are sitting. Jensen takes Tru left hand and then the two of them start walking to the double doors of the lab. Tru and Jensen are half way to the lab doors, when Avery and Tyler walk into the lab. Tyler and Avery toss their bags onto the desk that is by the door. Then start to walks over to their groups body. Tyler tap Avery on the shoulder and then point to Tru and Jensen. Avery looks over at Jensen and Tru and starts talking.
"Where are two of you going?"
"Tru is sick and she is not feeling well enough to go study or go to any of her class. I am walking Tru out to her car and will be back soon."
"That is fine Jensen and Avery and I will not start study until you get back. I hope you feel better soon, Tru."
"Coughing I hope that I start feeling better soon, because I hate being sick."
"I am working at the health center all week from two o'clock in the afternoon until closing. If you are still sick in a few days call me at the health center and I will get you into sees a doctor. I hope you feel better soon.
"Ah-choo thanks for letting me know when you are working at the health center, Avery. If I am still sick in a few days I will call, when you are at work, so you can fit me into to see one of the doctors. Bye Avery and Tyler."
Jensen and Tru walk out of the lab and then start walking down the hallway. Avery and Tyler watch Tru and Jensen until they are out of sight. Then Avery and Tyler walk over to the medical table and the body that Jensen has already got out of the storage cooler. Tyler and Avery take seats on the stools that Jensen and Tru do not push under the medical table. Simultaneously Jensen and Tru are walking to the double doors that lead to the parking lot of the science building, since this is where Tru has parked her car.
A few minutes later Jensen and Tru are walking out of building. Tru lay her head on Jensen shoulder and Jensen wraps his arm around Tru's waist. He can feel that Tru is running a high fever, just from the heat coming off her body. The two of them reach Tru's car, which is a purple Ford Mustang. Tru takes the car keys out of her purse and then unlocks the driver side door. Jensen pull Tru toward him and then he kisses Tru on the forehead.
"When you get home, I want you to take your temperature, because it feels like you are running a high fever. Also, Remember to push the fluids today and get as much rest as you can too!
"I will take my temperature, once I get home. However, since I being vomiting since midnight, I cannot make any promise about the fluids."
"You need to drink fluid for your health and the unborn baby health. Start by drinking a small glass of water and see if you can keep that down."
"I will try."
"Good and I will see you around one o'clock, when I get home from school."
"Ok, coughing."
"Bye"
"Ah-choo bye."
Tru pulls away from Jensen and then Tru gets into her car. Jensen close the car door and then he steps up onto the sidewalk. He starts watching Tru, who is backing out of the parking spot. He watching Tru drive to the exit and enters of the parking lot. Then he watches Tru pull out of the packing lot and starts driving in the directions of they house. Jensen heads inside the science building and then he walks to the lab.
Meanwhile, Tru is still driving home and has stops at a red light. Her cellphone starts to ring and she grabs it out of her purse that setting on the passenger seat. Tru looks at the display to see who is calling her and sees the phone number belongs to the Chest Wood elementary school. Chest Wood elementary school is where her six-year-olds half sister Claire and her five-year-old half brother Oliver goes to, so Tru flips open the cellphone and takes the call.
"Tru Davies speaking, how can I help you?"
"My name is Sarah Sunshine and I am the school nurse at Chest Wood elementary school, which is where your half sister Claire goes."
"Ahem, I know that is the school that my half sister and my half brother go too, but way did you call me?"
"Claire needs to go home sick. She is running a fever of 103.1 degrees Fahrenheit and she cannot keep anything down. I have tried all the other phone numbers and I cannot reach anyone. Harrison is on a job, Meredith is at work and can get off, since it is her first day back. In addition your stepmother Jordan Davies is out of town visiting her sick mother. Your father in meeting all day and he asked that you pick up Claire and take her to your house. Your father will pick up Claire after his last meet of the day."
"Ahem I will be there in fifteen minutes."
"Thank you and I will see you then."
Tru flip her cellphone close and then tosses the cellphone onto the passenger seat, simultaneously the light turns green. Tru makes a left hand turn and now she is driving down the street that she live on before her moms' death. Tru sees the house that she lived in and pulls her car into the driveway of the house. Then Tru put the purple mustang into the park position. She looks at the front yard of the house and sees a tire swing. The tire swing is hanging in a tree that is in the center of the front yard and was there when she lived in the house. Tru remembers her mom pushing the tire swing so Harrison, Meredith and she could swing at the same time. She looks at the two-story house and sees that the house is still paint yellow. Tru pulls herself together and a short time later Tru puts the car into reverse. Then Tru looks both way and she sees no cars are coming. She backs out of the driveway and onto the road. Then Tru start driving to Chest Wood elementary school, so she can pick up Claire.
Ten minutes later Tru pulls her mustang into the parking lot and start driving around the parking lot. Tru sees that the visiting parking spot is open. The visiting parking spot is in the first row of parking and in front of the sidewalk. Tru pulls her car into the visiting parking spot and then puts the car into the park position. Tru turns the car off and then takes the key out of the ignition switch. Tru grabs her purse and cell off the passenger seat and then opens the car door. Then Tru gets out off her car, as putting her cellphone into her purse. She close the car door and then she locks the car. Tru turns away from her car and start walking up to the school. She sees that the elementary school has not change at all. Tru reaches the main doors of Chest Wood elementary school and opens the door that is on the right-hand side. Then Tru walks into the school and closes the door behind her. Tru start walking down the hallway and simultaneously puts her hands into her jean pockets. Tru clears her throat, as she walks down the hallway and toward the nurse station. She passes the gym and she is surprise to see that the gym teacher is the same gym teacher that she had when she went to the school. Tru stops walking because she sees that her half brother Oliver is in gym class. Oliver runs over to the gym double doors and Tru sees that he looks just like Harrison. Oliver runs over to Tru and he gives his older half sister a hug. Simultaneously the gym teacher Mr. Sim walks over to Oliver and Tru. Oliver stop stops hugging his sister and takes a step back, then he looks up at his sister, as Mr. Sim reaches them.
"It is great seeing you and your little brother is a very fast runner."
"Tru yesterday I beat the fastest time that you ran in elementary school and I'm only in kindergarten."
"That is great."
"You come to pick up Claire because she is sick and has to leave school?"
"Yes, I have come to pick up Claire. I need to go get our sister from the nurse station now and then I am taking Claire to my house, until our father gets off work."
"Ok Tru and I will see you lately."
"Ahem I will see you later too."
Tru starts walking down the hallway again and is clearing her throat to keep from coughing. However, it does not work and she starts coughing. Tru covers her mouth and nose with her left elbow and coughs into the elbow. Also, she starts walking slower, so maybe when she gets to the nurse station she will no longer be coughing. Half way to the nurse station Tru stop coughing and she starts sneezes. Tru keeps her mouth and nose covered by her elbow and she sneezes three time in a row.
A minute later Tru reaches the nurse station and she opens the door. She then walks through the door and into the nurse station. Tru sees her half sister is laying on a recovery couch that is by the door and has her eyes hazel eyes close. Tru walks by her half sister that has blonde hair and then walks over to the nurse desk, as getting out her driver license. Tru reaches the nurse desk and shows the nurse her diver license. The nurse smiles at Tru, as give her a clipboard with a sign-out sheet on it and a pen. Tru signs Claire out of school and then give the nurse the pen and sign-out sheet. Then Tru walks over to the couches that her half sister is laying on and kneels down beside her half sister. Tru taps Claire on the right shoulders three time, since Claire is laying on her left side. After the third tap on the shoulder, Claire rolls over on the recovery couch and is now facing Tru. Claire opens her eyes and sees that Tru is kneeling next to her. Claire sits up on the recovery couch and looks at her older sister, as she starts crying. Tru gives her little sister a big hug and rubs her back. Claire lays her head on Tru left shoulder and closes her eyes.
"Where is daddy?"
"He could not get off work until this evening and Dad told the nurse to call me. Ahem I am taking you to my house and we are going too spent the day together."
"That is fine Tru. Did you have a long night at work, because you are looking really tire?"
"Ahem I did not have a long night at work."
Tru stands up from the kneeling position and grabs her sisters' backpack off the floor. Simultaneously Claire stands up from the recovery couch and then takes Tru right hand. Tru and Claire walk out of the nurse stations. Then the two of them walk down the hallway and toward the main doors of the school.
A few minutes later Tru and Claire are walking over to Tru's car. Once at the car, Tru unlocks the car doors. Then Tru opens the back door that is on the passenger side of the car for her sister. Claire gets into the back of the car and then Tru closes the car door. Tru walks over to the driver side of the car and then open the front door of the car. She gets into the car and closes the door. Then Tru looks into the rear view mirror and sees that Claire has put her seat belt on. Tru set her purse onto the passenger seat. Then Tru puts the key into the ignition and starts her car. Tru takes the car out of the park position and puts the car into reverse. Tru check to for vehicles driving behind her car and see no car, vans, truck or suv coming. She backs out of the parking space and then drives to the entrance and exit of the school. A short time later Tru is driving to her and Jensen house.
Fifteen minutes later, Tru is pulling her car into the driveway of her and Jensen's house. A few moments later Tru puts the car into the park position and then she turns the car off. She takes the key out of the ignition and simultaneously looks into the rear view mirror. Tru sees that Claire is sleeping with her head against the back of the seat. Tru grabs her purse off the passenger seat and then opens the car door. She gets out of the car and then closes the door. Tru walks around the car and walks over to the passenger side of the car. Tru opens the back door of the car and is hoping the sound of the door opening will wake Claire. However, her sister does not wake up. So Tru put her left arm behind Claire back and her right arm under Claire legs. Tru lifts her sister off the back seat and then close the car door with her right hip. She carries Claire over the porch and then carries her sister up the porch steps. A short time later Tru walks past the front door and then walks over to the two chairs and an outdoor side table that between the chairs. The two chairs and the outdoor side table are on the left side of the front door. Tru set Claire on the chair that is next to the front door. Then Tru unlocks the front door and a short time later she is opening the door. Tru walks back over to her sister that is still sleeping and put her left arm behind Claire back. Then Tru puts her right arm under her sister legs and then lift her sister out of the chair. Tru carries Claire into the house and then carry Claire into the living room. She walks over to the couch and lay her sister on the couch. Then Tru start coughing and cover her mouth and nose with her left elbow. She walks out of the living room and walks over to the front door of the house and is still coughing into her elbow. Once at the front door, she walks outside and over to the car. Tru open the passengers' door and the back door of her car and then get her backpack and Claire backpack from the car.
A minute and half later, Tru walks into the house and closes the door behind her. Tru starts walking toward the living room door and simultaneously starts sneezing. Tru covers her nose and mouth with her left elbow and at the same time reaches the living room door. Tru walks through the living room doorway and is still sneezing into her left elbow. Also, she sees that Claire is not laying on the couch, so she turns around and runs out of the living room. Once she in the entrance hallway, she turns so her back is to the front door and simultaneously drops the two backpacks onto the floor. Then Tru runs down hallway and run up to the next door that is on her right. The door belongs to the half bath and she hears Claire vomiting. Tru walks over to the crack bathroom door. Then knocks on the bathroom door with her right hand because she is still sneezing into her left elbow. Claire pushes the door open with her foot and then Tru walks into the bathroom and simultaneously stops sneezing. Tru walks over to her little sister, who is still vomiting into the toilet. The toilet is on the left, if walking into the half bath. It only takes Tru a few second to walk over to her sister. Tru pulls Claire hair out of her face, so the hair is out of the way. Two and half minutes later Claire stops vomiting and Tru lets go off her sisters' hair. Tru takes a step back from Claire and simultaneously Claire flushes the toilet. A short time later Claire looks up at Tru and simultaneously takes a seat on the floor.
"Thank you for keeping the hair out of my face when I was getting sick to my stomach. Also, I want my mom or my dad can you call them and try to get one of them to pick me up?"
"You are my little sister and it is my job to keep the hair out of your face, if you are vomiting. Meredith used to hold my hair out of my face when I was a kid and had the stomach flu. Also, I know how hard it is to keep long hair out of your face when you are getting sick to your stomach. I understand you wanting your mother or father. When I was your age I only want my mom when I was sick. Your mom is out of town today, so she cannot come to get you. I will call our dad cellphone and if he does not answer his cellphone, I will call his office."
"Ok, if you can get dad to pick me up that is good enough. Can I watch some tv?"
"Yes you can watch some tv. Go into the living room and take a seat on the couch. The tv remote is on the coffee table. I will go upstairs and call our dad."
"OK."
Claire stands up from the floor and then Tru and Claire walks out of the bathroom. A short time later, the two of them are slowly walking down the hallway. A minute and half later Claire and Tru walk into living room. Tru and Claire walk over to the couch and Claire has starts holding her stomach. A short time later Claire and Tru reach the couch. Claire takes a seat on the couch and she is sitting on the center of the couch. Then Claire looks at her older sister that is standing by the right arm of the couch, if your back is to the living room door. Tru looks at her little sister and simultaneously starts to talk.
"Is your stomach still upset?"
"Yes."
"Do you want me to get the gold trash can from the half bath, so you have something to throw up into?"
"Yes, please and thank you."
"You are welcome."
Claire picks up the tv remote and simultaneously Tru start walking to the living room doorway. A short time later Tru is walking out of the living room. Once in the entrance hallway, she starts to walk down the hallway, as yawning into her left hand. A minute later Tru walks into the half bath and starts coughing. Tru covers her mouth and nose with her left hand and simultaneously walks over to the sink. Tru leans up against the sink, as she continues to cough into her left elbow. A minute and half later, Tru stop coughing and she walk over to the toilet. Once in front of the toilet, she grabs the gold trash can that is on the left side of the toilet. Then Tru walks over to the door of the half bath and at the same time start sneezes. Tru covers her mouth and nose with her left elbow and keeps walking to the door of the half bath, despite sneezing into her left elbow. A short time later Tru walks out of the half bath and she is still sneezing into her left elbow, so she slowly walking toward the living room doorway.
A minute later Tru walks into the living room and is yawning into her left hand. She sees that Claire is watching her DVD copy of Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer. Tru walks over to the couch and is still yawning into her left hand. Then Tru walks by the right arm of the couch, which is nearest to the living room door. Tru walks over to the left end of the couch, because that is where Claire is sitting. She puts the trash can down on the floor of the living room, so that it is set in front of the couch and beside Claire. Tru looks at her sister, who seems to be enjoying watching Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer. Claire's pause the DVD and then she looks at Tru. Also, Claire notices the cellphone in Tru left hand, as she starts talking.
"Do you mind Tru, there was noting on tv?"
"I do not mind you watching Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer. When I was your age and still till this day Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer is the movie I was on the days that I am sick."
"I love all of the old Rainbow Brite tv shows and old movies."
" I am going to head upstairs for a short time. When I come back downstairs, I will have the digital ear thermometer and a cool wash cloth to wipe off your forehead and face."
"That is good because my face is all sweating. Can you bring a hair tie and comb down with you and braid my hair?"
"Yes I will bring a hair tie and comb downstairs with me and I will braid your hair after taking your temperature and wipe off your forehead and face."
Claire unpause the DVD and then she goes back to watching the movie. Simultaneously Tru walks away from her little sister and walks over to the staircase. A short time later Tru is walking up the steps of the staircase. Once upstairs Tru walks to the door of her and Jensen's bedroom, as coughing into her left elbow. She walks into the bedroom and then walks over to the bed, still coughing into her elbow. Tru takes a seat on the edge of the bed and simultaneously stops coughing. She flips open her cellphone and then goes to the contact list. Tru looks for her fathers' cellphone number and finds the number at the bottom of the contact list. Tru pulls up her fathers' cellphone and then hit call.
Meanwhile, across town at Davies Law office, Richard Davies, is in his office and he is having a meeting with Jack. Richard cellphone starts to ring and grabs his cellphone off his desk. He looks at the cellphone caller id and sees it is Tru cellphone number. He shows the caller ID on his cellphone to Jack.
"I am putting my cellphone on speaker phones, so I need you to be really quite."
"I will not make a sound."
The two of them stop talking and then Richard Davies flip open his cellphone. Then he hit the speaker phone button on his cellphone. Jack quietly takes a seat on the couch. Simultaneously Richard starts talking.
"I cannot talk right now because I am in a very important meeting."
"It is about Claire, coughing. Please take a few minutes out of the meeting to get an update on your youngest daughter."
"For Claire's I will step out of the meeting for a few minutes. How is my youngest daughter doing?"
"Ahem Claire is really sick with the stomach flu and she really wants you. Do not mass things up with Claire and Oliver like you did with me, Harrison and Meredith, coughing. Tell the person that you are in a meeting with that your six-year-old daughter is sick and you have to end the meeting."
"You are right Tru and I will be at your house in an hour."
"That is fine, ah-choo."
"Bless you and I will see you in an hour."
"Thanks dad and I will see you when you get to my house."
Richard Davies hit the end call button on his cellphone. Then he set the cellphone onto his desk. Simultaneously Jack stands up from the couch and then he walks over to Richard's desk. The two of them look at each other for a few moments, then Jack starts to talk.
"Are you really ending our meeting early, so can pick up your daughter from Tru's house?"
"Yes."
Richard grabs his cellphone off the desk and then stands up from his desk chair. He then walks over to his office door and opens the door. Jack walks over to the couch and grabs his coat off the right arm of the couch. Then Jack walks over to the office door and stops when he reaches the door. He looks at Richard for a split second and then walks out of the office.
Elsewhere, at Tru's house and in Tru and Jensen's bedroom, Tru is slowly standing up from the bed. Also, Tru has both arms wrapped around her abdomen. Tru walks over to her dresser that is on the wall across from the connected bathroom door. She opens the third drawer and grabs a long sleeve blue shirt and a pair of gray sweat pants out of the drawer. Tru closes the dresser drawer and then changes into the long sleeve blue shirt and a pair of gray sweat pants really fast. A short time later Tru she walks into the bathroom and over to the sink. Tru gets a gold washcloth out of a basket on the counter of the sick. Then turns the cold and hot water on. Once the water temperature is cool, she wets down the washcloth in the cool water. A short time later Tru rings the washcloth out. Then grab a hair tie, a comb and the ear thermometers off the counter of the bathroom sink. She then walks out of the bathroom and walks over to the bedroom door. Tru walks out of the bedroom and start coughing. Tru covers her mouth and nose with her left elbow, as she walks over to the staircase. Once at the staircase, she starts walking down the step of the staircase.
A minute and half later Tru steps off the bottom step of the staircase and into the living room of the house. Simultaneously she stops coughing. Tru walks over to the couch and takes a seat on the couch next to Claire. Tru set the ear thermometer, comb and the hair tie onto the coffee table. Then Tru wipes her sister face off with the wet wash cloth and Claire start to talk.
"Is our dad coming to get me and to take me home?"
"Yes and he will be here in an hour."
"Thanks for call him Tru, I know that the two of you do not have the best relationship."
"You are right about me and dad not having the best relationships. However, we are trying to changes that so Harrison, Meredith and I can get to know you, Oliver and your mom Jordan."
"Can you do my hair before checking my temperature?"
"Sniffling yes, I can do your hair before taking your temperature."
Claire stands up from the couch and then walks in front of Tru. She takes a seat on the floor and at the same time Tru grabs the comb off the coffee table. A few moments later, Tru starts to comb out her sisters' hair to get all the knots out. Two and half minutes later get the last knots out of Claire hair. Tru set the comb onto the coffee table and then grabs the hair tie off the coffee table. Tru starts to braid Claire's hair and Claire is still watching Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer. Three minutes later, Tru is putting the hair tie onto the end of braid. Then Tru taps Claire on her left shoulder. Claire stands up from the floor and simultaneously starts gagging. Claire runs over to the trash can really fast and then leans over the trash can. Then Claire stat vomiting into the trash can.
Two and half minutes later Claire stop getting sick to her stomach and walk over to the couch. Claire takes a seat on the couch next to her sister and Tru grabs the ear thermometer off the coffee table. Tru turns the ear thermometer on and then puts the thermometer into Claire's left ear. Thirty second later the thermometer beeping and Tru take the thermometer out of Claire's ear. Tru looks at the digital display on the thermometer and sees that Claire's fever has not gone up. Simultaneously Claire and Tru hear knocking and it is coming from the front door of the house. Tru stands up from the couch and then walks to the door of the living room. Then Tru walks into the entrance hall and walks over to the front door. She looks through the peep hold and sees her fathers' standing on the front porch. Tru opens the front door of the house and then step aside. Richard walks into the entrance hallway of Tru and Jensen's house and then Tru closes the front door. Tru walks over to the living room doorway and Richard follows Tru to the living room doorway. Tru stops in the doorway to the living room and Richard sees Claire's backpack on the floor. Richard bends over and he picks up his daughters' backpack. He stands up straight, as Tru walks into the living room. Richard follows Tru into the living room and sees Claire sitting on the couch. In addition he sees that Claire is resting her head against the back of the couch. Richard start walking over to Claire and simultaneously Tru takes a seat on one of the two armchairs in the living room. Tru is sitting in the armchair that is beside the right arm of the couch, if facing the couch and your back is to the living room doorway. Richard walks up to Claire and looks down at his youngest daughter. Claire gives her dad a weak smile and simultaneously Richard starts to talk.
"Are you ready to go home?"
"Yes I am ready to go home. But before we go I want to say bye to Tru."
"That is fine Claire."
Claire slowly stands up from the couch. Then wrap her left arm around her stomach, because it is upset and hurting. Claire walks over to her older sister and smile at her. Tru leans forward in the armchair and then the two sisters hug each other. After a few moments Tru and Claire stop hugging each other, Tru leans back in the armchair and simultaneously Claire starts talking.
"Thank you for come to my school and picking me up. Also, thank you for taking care of me till Dad could come get me.
"Ahem you are welcome. However, it was no big deal, ah-choo. Also, it was enjoyable getting to spending time with you, despite you being unwell."
"We must get together when I better."
"That sound like a good Idea, coughing. When you get well, have our dad or your mom give me a call."
"I will look forward to it."
"Claire's it is time for us to leave. Tru needs to go to bed and get some sleep because she works the night shift."
"Ok."
Tru stands up from the armchair that she is sitting on and then Tru, Richard and Claire start walking to the living room doorway. However, as the three of them reach the living room doorway Tru gets light head and has to grab onto her father right shoulder to stop from falling. Richard Davies turn and look at his middle children from his fist marriage. He notices that Tru looks flush and that worries him because Tru never gets sick. Richard puts his right arm around Tru's waist and helps Tru over to the couch. Then he helps Tru take a seat on the couch. Tru looks up at her father with a look that says I am sorry and the same time Richard start talking.
"I think you are sick Tru because you keep sneezing and coughing. In addition it feels like you are running a high fever. You seem light head too, because your legs almost gave out on you a few moments ago and you had to grab my shoulder to keep from fall. Do you want me and Claire to stay here until Jensen gets home?"
"Dad's take Claire home. I will be fine, after I have something to eat and get some sleep."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"We can see ourselves out, if you not up to walk to the door with us."
"I am fine now and can walk to the front door with the two of you."
Tru stands up from the couch and then walks her father and sister over to the living room doorway. She walks through the doorway of the living room and then walks into the entrance hallway. Claire and Richard follow Tru into the entrance hallway. Tru start coughing and cover her mouth and nose with her left elbow, as she walks up to the front door. Tru open the front door of the house and then lean against the open door, as Richard and then Claire walk out of the house. Tru watches Claire and dad walks over to Richard's 2004 Cadillac that in the driveway and Tru is sneezing into her left elbow. Tru is still sneezing into her left elbow, when Claire and her dad are getting into the car. Several minutes later, Tru has starts to shivering and her father is pulling his out of the driveway. Tru close the front door of the house and then she locks the door. She starts coughing and covers her mouth and nose with her left elbow, as she leans against the closed front door.
Five and half minutes later, Tru stops coughing and steps away from the front door. She then walks down the hallway and to the door at the very end of the hallway. Tru walks through the doorway and the end of the hall and then walk into the kitchen. Then Tru walks over to the black refrigerator that is on the right side of the kitchen door, if standing in the doorway. Tru opens the refrigerator door and grabs a bottle of water off the top shelf of the refrigerator door. She close the door of the refrigerator and then walks over to the kitchen island that is in the center of the kitchen. Tru grabs the bag that has white bread in it off the kitchen island and opens the white bread. She takes one slice of bread out of the bag. Tru close the bag of bread and set the bag back onto the kitchen island. Tru lean up against the kitchen island and then she eats the bread. Three minutes later Tru has finished eating the slice of bread and is opening the bottle of water. She takes a few sips of water. Then closes the bottle of water and simultaneously Tru walks out of the kitchen. Tru slowly walks down the hallway and then walks into the living room. Tru set the bottle of water on the coffee table and then she walks over to the gold bathroom trash can beside. Then Tru picks up the trash can and then walks out the living room. Tru then walks into the entrance hallway. She walks into the half bath and over to the toilet. She lifts the toilet seat and pours vomiting that in the trash can into the toilet. Tru flush the toilet and walks over to the sink and opens the cabinet that is under the sink. She gets the bottle of disinfectant out from under the sink. Tru sprays the trash can with the disinfectant and then clean it really fast. A short time later Tru set the trash can beside the toilet and then cleans the toilet really fast.
Five and half minutes later Tru is walking into her and Jensen bedroom, as sneezing into her left elbow. Tru walks over to the bed and then pulls down the bedspread. Tru takes a seat on the bed and then lie down. Then Tru pulls the bedspread up and rolls onto her right side. Twenty second later, Tru falls to sleep. However, Tru wakes up at twelve thirty in the afternoon and jumps out of bed. Then Tru runs into the bathroom and runs over to the toilet. The toilet is up against the center of the far left-hand wall, if standing in the bathroom door. She kneels down in front of the toilet and vomiting into the toilet right away. After five minutes Tru stops getting sick and flushes the toilet. Then Tru slowly stands up from the kneeling position. Tru walks over to the sink and then turns on the water. Tru washes her mouth out with some tap water and then turns the water off. A short time later, Tru walks out of the bathroom and walks into her bedroom. She walks over to nightstand by the bedroom door and grabs the cordless phone. She starts to dial the morgue number, as walking out of her bedroom. She is halfway through dialing the morgue phone number, when she starts walking down the steps of the staircase, so she can see Jensen when he gets home.
A short time later, Tru is walking through the entrance hallway and is walking toward the kitchen doorway. Tru walks into the kitchen and then she walks over to the kitchen island. She pulls out the center stool and then takes a seat on the black stool. Also, Tru is waiting for Davis to pick up the morgue phone. On the sixth ring the phone gets answered and Tru can hear Davis breathing on the other end.
"You have reached the county morgue, how can I help you?"
"It is Tru Davis."
"What do you need to tell me Tru, because it is very busy right now?""
" Ahem I am too sick to come into work tonight, coughing. I cannot keep anything down and I am still running a fever, ah-choo. Also, I have a dry cough, keep sneezes and my throat is hurting really badly. So I am going to take a sick day."
"That is fine Tru. However, if you start feeling better and feel like coming into work, then you are welcome to come into work. Today has been a very busy day and the help would be nice."
"Coughing I am taking a sick day tonight and I am not going to ah-choo change my mind."
"That is fine and feel better soon."
"Bye."
"Bye."
Tru hits the end button that is on the cordless phone and simultaneously Jensen walks into the house through the back door, which is in the kitchen. Jensen walks over to Tru and he gives her a hug. Then Jensen takes Tru right hand and pulls her off the stool. Then the two of them walk to the kitchen doorway and leave the kitchen. Tru start coughing as the two of them walk toward the doorway to the living room. Jensen puts his left arm around Tru's waist, as the two of them walk into the living room. Tru lay her head onto Jensen's left shoulder, as the two of them start walking over to the staircase. A short time later Tru and Jensen are walking up the steps of the staircase and Tru is sneezing into her left elbow.
A minute later Tru and Jensen are walking toward their bedroom door. Tru walks into the bedroom first and Jensen follows Tru into the bedroom. Tru walks over to the bed and she takes a seat on the side of the bed. Simultaneously Tru starts coughing into her left elbow. Jensen walks over to Tru and he takes a seat on the bed next to her, as he starts to talk.
"I want you to take a shower. After the shower I want you to put your nightshirt and then go back to bed."
"Taking a shower sound like a great idea to me and afterwards I will be ready to go to bed."
Tru slowly stands up from the bed and starts sneezing. Tru covers her mouth and nose with her left elbow and simultaneously walks over to the bathroom door. She reaches the bathroom and walks into the bathroom. Tru closes the bathroom door behind her. Meanwhile, Jensen has taken a seat on the center of the bed and he starts study for an exam.
