Hey-Ho! New chapter of "Alpha's Advocate" Just dropped!

So...been a while huh? Christ Jan 11... I'm sorry about that... I'm adjusting to a large change in my life...

But anyways, moving past this, the Chainsaw Man (Manga) part 2 has been...slow for me... Not this say it's bad or anything. The art had a noticeable drop in quality, which I don't blame Fujimoto if he just switch to monthly releases instead if weekly. Early Chainsaw Man Part 2 Art was goddamn memorizing at points. The weekly releases is obviously putting a toll of him... Or not Who Knows!

But okay, Part 2 so far story-wise has been a good, at least for me. At worse, it's serve sable I guess...?

Okay! Getting to this chapter, last time nothing crazy has happened yet. It's just mainly a prologue. Here is where I think things start to pick!

Do mind that, I've been busy since the last update so my writing might have gotten a little rusty. I hope you guys understand.

Okay, enough rambling! Without any further delay, I, The Evo King, present to you all;

ALPHA'S ADVOCATE

𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚝𝚎𝚛 #𝟷: "Unfinished Business"

Foot steps could be heard echoing through the dingy hallways of an apartment building. Floor 8 to be exact. The steady pace of the footsteps was the only thing that occupied the 8th floor, take it out and it'll be as quiet as rain.

Oh, and the source of this sound you may ask? It came from the Rex himself. The boy sported a look that tried to look threatening yet also being casual about it. Casual death glare, as he liked to call it.

He was running an errand for his boss, Quarry. He was tasked to take care of someone whose...way far off the payments deadline. A sleaze that goes by the name, if he remembered correctly, Theo...?

Theo... Yeah, he'll just have to go with' that.

Rex wandered around the 8th floor, looking gingerly for the apartment number Quarry had given him. Squinting his eyes and slightly leaning forward, Rex checked the order of the series of the apartment numbers in hopes to clear up any confusion.

"Let's see... Apartment 203... Apartment 203..." Nope, couldn't find shit. Rex was absolutely at a lost. Did the sleaze changed his apartment number? If so, then that sneaky bastard fooled him in the most simplest way possible.

That would be a blow to his ego— Moans...

...Eh? Was he hearing right?

Rex took his eyes off the apartment numbers and stared at his front... People really were shameless huh?

The teenage boy was (awkwardly) looking at a sight of two grown-ass people doing... sensual things to each other. Seriously, had they even heard of the phrase 'Get A Room'. Rex knew he was at a dingy/not-so-very-clean apartment building, but come on!

...Well, at least Rex can ask them for directions. And so, the teenager walked up to them a little closer and cleared his throat, which made the two stop their 'activity' and have their half-hearted attention towards him.

"Heeeyyy..." Rex brought up an open palmed hand and slightly waved at them. He put up a friendly, if a little bit awkward, smile to make him seem non-threatening. "Do you guys know where Apartment 203 is? I think I might've passed it but I'm not exactly sure..."

The gruff looking guy started at Rex for a second, before giving his answer. "You must be working for Quarry... Everyone knows Theo owes him a lot."

'(Must be a pretty big pay off if everybody knows about them...)' Rex thought.

"He took off his apartment sign on his door a doors down." HE WAS RIGHT! GODDAMMIT! "Go get em. The douche wouldn't give me his rent for 4 months now..."

So, he's the landlord— OH COME ON! The couple went back to their business as if their conversation was done.

Well, it might well as been, Rex got all the info he needed anyways. "Well, um... Hope you guys have a fantastic—"

"Kid, get the FUCK outta here"

"Right," Without spilling out anymore words, Rex complied and went back from here he previously was

A strong ruffling of a bag echoed throughout a messy room. A guy dressed in a plain back t-shirt and baggy pants frantically shoved all of his stuff in his bag. "Dammit, I need to get outta here! At this point, they're already searching for me!"

Theo zipped his back tight, making extra sure it wouldn't open up easily. "I just hope YOU were worth the finger!"

Theo said towards a creature, who as of now was shrouded in shakes in the darkest area of the room. It's body couldn't be seen currently, but two white dots that resembled eyes was a giveaway that the creature was present.

Even though it was just eyes, Theo was still unsettled by its presence. "Y'know, you'd be less scary of you like say something... actually don't do that–"

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock!*

Theo suddenly perked up by the sound of knocking. His instincts told to look through the peep to see who it was. Theo pressed towards the door and took a peek...

His nerves only calmed down when he saw it was just a kid on the other side.

"Hello? Anyone there?" The kid in a stupidly bright jacket asked.

"Fuck off, kid! I'm not interested in your girl scout cookies! Get outta here before I kill you!" Theo barked out with venom.

Rex took on a serious expression, before launching a foot straight to the door, with force strong enough to break the hinges and sent it hurtling towards Theo.

Apparently, the force Rex applied was strong enough to even share the momentum of the door to Theo and sent him flying with the door.

Theo's flight ended when he and the door hit the wall on the other side, leaving back pains he hadn't experienced in a long time.

Rex casually strolled inside the room. "Why do people like you assume I'm some kind of delivery service? Is it because of the brightness of my jacket?"

Theo willed every strength he had left to force himself to stand up. "The hell!? What kinda kid are you?"

If what he just experienced was anything to go by, this kid could do some unimaginable things to him without breaking a sweat. And knowing that immediately, Theo decided to send in his big guns.

"Well? Get off your ass and kill this brat!" Theo commanded towards the creature in the shadows.

Rex stared confusedly at the man for a second, before turning to his back and letting his gaze stare off the heavily darkened part of the room.

Two dots just decided to will itself into existence. Rex felt an overwhelming feeling of anxiety. Something simple like two dots staring into your soul was enough to set off a warning inside Rex's head.

Audible enough for everyone to hear, the creature in the shadows crawled outta it's spot, revealing what it looked like bit by bit by the sunlight coming from the rigid windows.

...

...

...

*Snort*

All tension faded away in an instant once the devil showed itself to be seemingly looking non-threatening.

Rex busted into a fit, trying to muffle his loud chuckles by covering his mouth with his hand. But try as he might, there's no denying that the boy in red found how funny the beetle devil looked.

"Seriously?" Rex – mistakenly – turned his back towards the devil. "That's your bodyguard...? What does a little thing such as this protect you from?"

Theo grew a smirk on his face, knowing how much the kids was gonna get. Said kid noticed it, and raised a brow.

"What's with that smirk on your face?" Rex asked, right before – suddenly a shadow growing in size loomed over him. "Huh?"

Rex turned back around only to see the small beetle grew in shape AND size. The size of the beetle devil casually dwarfs his own. It's eyes – which was more than two – stared down at Rex with bloodlust.

"...Oh... that's why—"

*BOOOMM!*

The devil rammed itself towards the a wall – taking Rex with it – breaking through it and falling right up the streets. Several civilians near the scene quickly disbanded into a panic fit, running away from the devil while screaming for their lives.

However, the devil didn't paid any attention to them. It instead shoved Rex whole in it's mouth, reeling it's head up and letting gravity do all the work, the devil devoured the kid in one gulp.

Right back in the now broken apartment room, Theo laid in the same spot. Several bones may be broken, but he still felt victory knowing that brat with superhuman strength got rid of.

Right as he was at his peak, something unexpected happened. A large bright orange sword suddenly pierced right out of the devil's back, violently spewing it's blood and guts everywhere. It didn't stop right there, the gush of blood grew more violent as something— no, someone emerge from the slit of the devil's back.

That brat

With one stomp of a foot, Rex stood up – encased in blood and guts – with a big orange sword attached onto, seemingly almost part of, his right arm.

"Ew! Ew! Eeewww!" With the sword seemed to have absorbed into him, the boy in the red jacket took one leap off the devil and perfectly landed 5 feet away from the blood spilled body of the beetle devil.

Though, Rex couldn't care less of the devil as he had his own problem at the moment. "This is just defining the word gross for me..." Rex sounded almost like he's about to puke out his breakfast.

As he complain about his odor, Rex failed to notice the head of the devil awoken with a twitched. It could smell blood – apart from it's own and Rex – near it. Trusting it's instinct, the beetle devil whipped an elongated tounge out towards a certain direction.

A man walked out of the building in a causal manner. "What's with all the damn ruckus?" Before he could even react, a tongue suddenly wrapped around his body, tying him down desperately. "Wh–Whoa!?"

Instinctively, he tried to get off it's grasp but it proved to be in vain as it was too late. All he could only do was scream for help, but even that didn't work. His body was whiplashed into the mouth of the beetle devil.

*Growl*

Rex abruptly stopped his mouth, his body suddenly stood still like a mannequin. '(What was that...?)' He mentally asked himself, slowly turning around to the face the devil.

And to his shock, the beetle devil rose better than before. All the cuts Rex gave it was nowhere to be found. It was almost like it was just starting a fight.

Rex's posture slumped down. "Aw man..." the devil launched itself towards Rex, using all it's weight to crash him down.

Luckily, The boy's reaction time was faster than it, though somehow the devil still managed to corner him.

On both of his arms, large orange gauntlets the size of a car appeared and pressed itself on the devil's maw, stopping it from chomping Rex's head off.

Rex strained against the weight of the devil's jaw. Even with his huge gauntlets, A devil's strength is no joke, some packed more punch than him. This devil was admittedly no exception...

...God, who the hell was even scared of beetles to the degree of the devil being THIS strong!

Rex's eyes widen in horror as it's sharp teeth was nearly inches away from his face. He had to think fast, or else he'll be just another worm food for Quarry.

An idea dinged in his mind but it wasn't without it's risk...

'(Oh whatever! It's do or die!)' Rex absorbed his gauntlets back to his hands, freeing the devil from his constraints. Just as expected, the beetle devil unhinged it's jaw in a horrifying degree and launched it's maw at Rex.

Momentarily, Rex scream and thought it was over but just in the nick of time, his legs glowed blue. And in an instant, big metal boots took over both his legs. Without wasting even a second, the boots propel itself towards the devil, sending a devastating kick to the stomach.

The devil spew some blood before getting sent back like a ragdoll away from Rex.

The devil was then sent up to the sky. Rex gave himself a chance to stand up and take a few deep breaths before squatting down and took one big leap.

The ground from where he stood shattered like glass as the shockwave created by the jump made a small crater in the middle of the street.

Theo watched as the kid somehow kept up with his devil in the sky. The beetle reached the apex of it's ride, before gravity finally took control back again.

Though Rex had other plans. The boy in red somehow reached the same height as it in the sky.

Rex grew a smirk on his face as he twisted his body mid-air, charging up his kick. To add more impact on it, the back of his boots suddenly burst out blue flames, exhilarating its speed and impact.

The last thing the devil saw was Rex's boot came in hurtling towards it, and after that it was pure black.

In Theo's point of view, a strong shockwave formed right as the body of his devil shoot down towards the street in terrifying speed. What came next was a literal blood bath, as the body hit the street, blood and guts exploded everywhere!

Theo watched in horror the boy landed, which created a gust of dust exploding everywhere. As the dust storm calmed down, a figure emerged from the smoke and landed in front of Theo.

Scared out of his life, Theo willed all his remaining strength together to crawl himself out of there. But it was all in vain. A foot suddenly lunged towards his back, making him scream in pain.

"Sorry, nothing personal, dude." Rex firmly said, before sticking his foot harder in Theo's back. "Now tell me...where's the money...?"

He heard ruckus near him.

It wasn't long after that Alpha heard screams probably due to it.

He went in for answers, but got more than he expected.

During all of the commotion, Alpha stayed silently on top of a building next to where all of chaos ensued. He had been quietly observing a boy in a bright red jacket fighting a devil much larger than him, noting his great feats.

He thought that his power may have been a work of a devil. Machinery Devil, perhaps? But all of his theories went to ash as soon as he saw it...felt it...

The boy...carried multiple batches of nanites in his body...not only that but Alpha felt like there was something more special in him than he can see from afar.

How...how could this be?

All his weapons were all the works of his nanites...and he casually controlled it by his own will.

"[Fascinating...]" Was how Alpha describe the boy as. He needed more information from him, the more Alpha lingered on the boy, the more he started feeling...a sting of familiarity...

One swift kick in the back made Theo lose all his balance. He fell face first into cement, grunting in agony. However that was his last worries at the moment.

He couldn't see shit. The kid tied his hands together and blindfolded him tight.

He tried his damnest to break out of the ropes but as every second he wasn't getting any progress pass, all he could think of was just give up and accept what happens next.

Not a second after, the blindfold was taken off.

"I got your guy, Quarry." Theo knew that voice. Of course, it was mentally burnt in him from now until the day he die. The boy in the red jacket, standing right above him. His foot was firmly pressed on his back, making sure he wouldn't even have the slightest chance of running away.

Theo may have no chance to stand but he can move his head around freely. Lifting up his face off the floor, the man's eye dilated at the first thing he saw.

Theo was already scared, but hearing his name while staring at him in the "flesh" made his core freeze in silent terror...

Quarry...The kingpin of crimes, sitting in front of him.

His looks alone can put off a lot of people. It's been said that he looks like a devil himself, but Quarry always deny such labels and prefer to call himself a mutation.

The big guy wasn't even made out of flesh, his whole entire body was made out of cobblestone. He's almost like a Stone Devil of some sort.

"So..." The stone made crime lord started, his menacing voice worming it's way on Theo's head sending a blast of fear in his veins. "Theo was it? You know, I can't say you are either brave...or down right idiotic."

It was at that time where Quarry stood up from his chair, showing just how his size alone could scare people. He was taller than anyone currently present in the room. He had broad shoulders and an hands the size of a regular person's head.

He wore a simple and formal attire, a white long-sleeve button up, black suspenders, while from below were dark pants. But his clothes were just an afterthought as the most disturbing part to look at was his face or...simply what it lacks.

Quarry's left part of his face was non-existent, it looked as though Quarry took a beating, but that was the intimidating part. He just walked it off and treat it like nothing. For God's sake he only has one eye left!

But that didn't stop him. If he can take his left side destroyed like that, then what can Theo do to damage him? Nothing, he has no advantage here.

And Quarry reveled at the fear. If it wasn't debunk already, Theo would immediately just label Quarry as a Devil.

"Let him go, Rex." One simple command, and the foot on his back was finally lifted off. Even though this was his chance to run, Theo was too stricken in fear of the possibilities.

There's no way out of this. Even if he somehow escape, the brat in red will continue to hunt him down like a predator. His best chance was to stay here and pray that Quarry lets him off easy.

Which the odds of that were downright at 0%.

Quarry chuckled humorlessly, "Though, it's commendable...No one even dares to defy me, and even if they do, they'll all wind up like your buddy Terry..."

Theo's eyes widen slightly. Terry...his death was the reason why he took Quarry's debt for himself in the first place.

"But of course you're all too stubborn to get it..." Quarry slowly walked his way towards the laying body of Theo. "Theo, give me a straight answer...Do you think you have a chance to get out of here alive...?"

...

...

...

Silence took over the room. Not a single sound was made.

Quarry awaited with bated breath. "Well...?" His tone raised by a noticeable amount.

A fear stricken Theo, to his credit, tried to answer but the words kept on getting stuck on his throat.

A few seconds had pass now, and even Rex was falling asleep. Quarry let out an annoyed sigh, his grasp his stone face seeming as though he's pinching the bring of his nose.

"Stand up." Quarry commanded.

Hesitant, Theo took a few seconds before willing himself to stand on his two. Before he could even gain his balance, a stone fist suddenly sent towards his face.

And just like that, Theo fell on the ground again, this time with a broken blood soaked nose and lips.

Rex winched slightly at the sight, but quickly gained his composure.

After the shock dissipated, Theo screamed in pain. His noise bounced off from wall to wall until the room was basically nothing but the sounds of pained cries.

Those cries were almost music to the Stone Kingpin's earholes, Quarry amusingly smirked, finding enjoyment out of this. "Let this be a lesson, when I asked... you have to answer me..."

Rex rolled his eyes, feeling as though Quarry's words were subtly directing towards his attitude.

"I'll ask you again, Do you have any chance in getting out of here..." Quarry's smirk instantly faded away, replaced with a frown. "Alive...?"

Theo's instincts took over and what came out of his mouth was what the first thing that appeared in his mind.

"Yes..."

He immediately felt regret after saying that.

Quarry stared at him for a few seconds, before his smirk came back. "Heh... We'll see about that... Rex hand it over."

What Rex had was two bags with each strap warped around his shoulders. Taking them off, Rex tossed the bags over to his boss with any complaints.

"Here's what's going to happen, Theo," Quarry caught the bags by the straps, before zipping one open. "I'm gonna count how many is in here. And if it's not the exact same amount that I wanted...Well, you already know."

Rex mentally groaned. Did he necessarily has to stay for all of this!? Ugh, it's tortured!

In Theo's perspective, it felt like an eternity. Seconds felt like minutes, minutes felt like hours. Until finally–

"Huh..." Quarry held an unidentifiable expression. "...Your 700 yen flat..."

Rex's lips twitched a bit when Quarry dropped the bomb, but no one noticed it.

Theo felt his heart drop, his soul almost melting off his body. It was at that time where Theo was desperate. Sitting up as quick as lightning, he ran his mouth, fumbling over his words as he tried to explain himself.

That couldn't be, he didn't even got the time to use a speck of it. The contract he made with the Beetle Devil only caused him his fingers.

Theo tried to say all of that, but all it ended up being were gibberish. Quarry felt like all the patience in his body snapped like a twig. "SHUT UP!" Another punch was thrown at Theo, only this time Quarry went for the stomach.

The words coming out of his mouth immediately died once his fist connected. Theo spewed blood on the floor, thanks to the blow, and he was left gasping for air.

"I didn't asked that time..." Quarry got down on a knee, trying to level with Theo but even still the crime lord towered over Theo's broken form. "I think you know where this is going...But before I do anything, just know that no matter how much you had in those bags of yours, whether you subtract or even gained more than I expected... Your fate will always be the same."

Rex rolled his eyes once again. Quarry was trying so hard to sound menacing. Well, it's working for that guy, but for the boy, he sounded so lame.

Quarry stood up with a grin, "Say hello to Terry for me." And with that, the kingpin of crimes lifted his for off the floor before sending it crashing on Theo's head.

Theo's head caved in against the impact. Quarry's foot crushed his head like nothing! Blood erupted, spilling almost every part of the room.

Surprised, Rex crossed his arms in front of him and tucked himself a little to shield himself. Thankfully, the blood poured on his jacket wasn't anything major. Rex took his normal stance once it was over.

"Now that's all over..." Quarry took his foot off the corpse and adjusted his vest. "Clean this up, I don't want a speck left of him here."

The other bodyguards of Quarry took charge, lifting the corpse away from the office.

Rex shrugged, guessed he wasn't needed after all. He was about to take himself out of there but Quarry — infuriatingly — stopped him.

"Rex, I need you for a second." The lackeys perked their heads up in slight interest even though they weren't the subject being called.

The said boy had to stop himself from groaning. He turned himself around to face his `boss`. "What?"

"i noticed you were giving the attitude back there... Care to explain yourself."

Rex quirked an eyebrow, "Are you just salty because I was ruining your whole mafia tough boss shtick? I don't need to explain myself, your act is getting old, Rocky."

The used of that nickname almost popped Quarry's non-existent blood vessel. "Rex, I am your boss... I deserve a bit more respect than what you have given me..." Quarry said.

"Respect? I know you, Quarry... All you want is to make a lapdog outta me—"

"And I know you, Rex... You want a normal self-fulfilling life, but you're no different them...the devils, especially since of what you did to me..." Quarry lifted his rock-made arm up front of Rex's face.

"You act like you didn't deserve it..." Rex retorted, crossing his arms, and maintaining his annoyed face. "And don't give me that crap. I know as well as yourself that you are no better."

"At least I not denying who I am. You act like you're still a sane man in a world full of devils." Quarry couldn't help but chuckle at the irony. "You are far from it."

As their conversation last, Rex found himself grinding his teeth roughly. "Alright enough of this! I'm out!" Turning to his heels, the boy tried to walk out but before he could, Quarry just had to keep on blabbering.

"Don't be like that, Rex." Oh boy, Rex could just hear the cockiness from his voice alone. "Your parents didn't raise you like that—"

That blew a fuse. He can endure Quarry for a long time, but once he mentioned his parents, that's when things get heated. Rex immediately reacted, negatively. "How would you even know—!?"

Once Rex turn back to the rock head, he caught the sight of his old journal...in the hands of a smirking Douche named Quarry. "Remember this...?"

Rex went silent. Eyes heavily directed towards the journal. That book...that thing has got him in Quarry's chokehold for far too long.

The journal held important memories that he had written in case Rex could forget. It not just includes Rex's past with his friends and how he met them, but also held things that were far from what he could remember today; his parents...his family...

"...Give it..." Now dead set on getting that notebook, Rex broke the silence between them, making Quarry's smirk worsen. "Give it now—!" Rex took a step closer to the rock mafia boss and brought his hand up to get. But Quarry had other plans.

Quarry slightly whipped Rex's journal out of reach. "Nuh-uh~, I thought you were walking away?"

"Not when you have that, Give it to me..." Rex ordered, with a harsh venom to his voice.

"Oh~, This piece of junk?" Quarry brought the journal up to him and opened it.

Rex's eyes widen in shock. His fist clenched to the point of his knuckles becoming white. "It's not yours, asshole—"

*RRIIIIPPP!*

His eyes dilated.

Quarry just casually ripped apart a piece from his journal.

"S-Stop—!"

*RIIIPP!*

"S-Stop!"

*RRIIIPPP!*

"STOP IT!"

*RRIIIIPPP!*

"STOP!"

*RIIIPP!*

"SSSSTTTOOOPPPP!"

Each single rip of the pages felt like an excruciating stab for Rex. The pages fell down, reduced to nothing but irreversible shreds of paper.

He dropped to his knees in defeat, as tears came down on his eyes like waterfalls. "...S-S-Stop..." All those memories...gone

"That's a shame," Quarry gave the boy a small bit of mercy as he closed the journal before he could tear it all apart. "I quite like that part about your brother."

That taunt cut Rex deeper than any stab wounds he had endured.

"Now..." Quarry set the journal down, and looked below the kneeling kid. "Do you understand what happens when you disrespect your boss?"

Rex didn't gave a single word, but Quarry just knew, he won...

"Get out of here, kid. Before I burn your diary to ashes..."

Rex's lifeless eyes, slightly stared at him. Quarry stared back. Even though it looked lifeless, his eyes had a buried emotion...one that contains raging unending lust for revenge...

Quarry lightly scoffed, almost amused by it. "You wouldn't even dare to lay a finger on me."

He was right... Right now he was powerless against him, literally– his powers don't mix well when he's an emotional wreck...

And so, in defeat, Rex slowly stood up and walked away, eyes shadowed beneath his hair. The journey outside felt like walking in a dessert. All the noises around was drowned out over his (there-but-not-really-there) thoughts.

And Rex came back to his home...with 700 yen under his pocket... He threw them all in the table, shocking Cricket, Tuck, and even Skwydd.

The three all let out a varying levels of surprised. But Rex didn't bother to give them any answers as to where he got it. Letting them do what they want with money as they please, Rex went to his room silently, like a man possessed.

Laying on his bed, Rex looked at the ceiling, with no thoughts behind his eyes other than– `Your Brother`...

...

...

...

Rex has a brother too...

And here is where I end this chapter!

Again, I'm SO SORRY for the delay, a year delay specifically.

I've been studying hard, I just got into college and I'm still adjusting to my schedule. Couldn't even do this chapter while at the campus, I'm just used to writing in my laptop, it's much more freeing.

Anyways, Please excuse my poor grammar as it's not my mother's tongue and it has been a while ever since I wrote a chapter. I've been busy, I joined like 3 dance programs in a row, and my feet are killing me. But don't worry, the rest of me is all good~!

Also, please understand that this story will be inconsistently updated, due to time restrictions as usual. I'm also going to take my time with this, since I just...feel like it idk.

Answering Reviews (I'm sorry that you waited for a year for this):

Wolf girl (Anonymous): Thanks for the compliment. I am gonna continue this story but it's gonna take time to cook, sorry for the wait.

Maximum Rhapsody: Yep, I thought it would be cool to mix the world of Generator Rex and Chainsaw Man because of their similarities. And don't worry, there are gonna be GR Characters who is gonna make an appearance in this, just don't hold your breath if it takes to long.

And so about your vote on the ship Rex x Power... I'll keep that in mind for the future of this story. Though, I can't exactly see why you chose this character in particular to be shipped with Rex, but Oh WELL *Shrugs confusedly*

Anyways, that'll be all for now! Thanks for Coming By!
Much Love, The Evo King
