Chapter IX
Home
I burst out laughing, and the nurse rolled her eyes to the sky and followed him out, probably to make sure he got to his room.
The rest of the day was going to be quiet. I just had to wait for an opportunity to talk to the doctor and ask him to send me home. I wanted to be as close to Jake as possible. When he wasn't with me, everything was less intense. As if the world was sinking into fog. It was unbelievable how much sun this boy had in him.
The attending physician came to see me only during the evening rounds and announced in a cheerful voice that I would actually go home.
"Your condition is surprisingly good. We cannot explain it otherwise than in terms of a miracle. Your friends daringly escaped the clutches of death. I wish there were more cases like this."
I told my dad by phone that I would be home tomorrow and to bring me some clothes, because the ones I was brought in could only be thrown away. I read a women's magazine, lay there trying to take a nap, and then decided to go to Leah's.
I wasn't expecting friendly chats, but Jacob was running late, so knowing there was a daily gathering of visitors in her room, I went there for fun. I could already hear her raised voice in the corridor, so instead of entering the room, I stood by the door.
"How?" Leah glared furiously at Seth, who, as always, was getting hit on the head, Embry and Quil. "There were no chocolate muffins? What's that brown crumb on your T-shirt, Embry? Huh? You devoured these muffins before you even left the bakery! Asshats! That's all you can do: eat and turn your heads after the nurses. Do you think I don't know why you visit me so often? Once, just once, I had a request. Fucking chocolate muffins! All eaten up!"
Attracted by the screams, the doctor entered the room to check what a fuss his favorite patient was making, to which Leah, without taking her eyes off the culprits, hissed.
"Please, doctor, feel free to join the show. We have a real comedy here. In 3D! This youngest "D" is unfortunately my brother, and the other two are his dumb friends."
"You are so beautiful when you are angry!," the doctor said with a gentle smile, which took her out of her combative mood a bit.
"Doc, I will start to get angry if you don't let me go home. I'm tired of being at the mercy of the hospital and my wonderful family."
"You have undergone a number of serious surgeries. I don't think so…" Doctor hesitated.
"I'm an adult." She argued.
"For a very long time," Seth interjected.
She shot a glare in his direction and returned to the topic.
"I am an adult and I want to leave at my own request." Leah demanded furiously.
"This isn't the best idea."
"Exactly," Seth said again.
"Silence, heir of all the recessive genes of the family!"
Eavesdropping on Leah's requests for discharge was interrupted by my father, who had just entered the ward carrying a bag of clothes.
"Bells, before we go to your place, I wanted to stop by Leah's. I didn't have time to thank her myself. It's here?"
He knocked politely on the open glass hospital door.
"Mr. Swan. Hello. Come on in." Leah politely greeted my father.
"I won't take long. I just wanted to thank you for saving my daughter. Without you, I would have lost my most precious treasure."
"It was an impulse, you don't have to thank me, anyone would do that."
Charlie smiled as he was about to leave, but he seemed to change his mind.
Looking around at everyone gathered in the steel room, he asked. "By the way, does anyone know who talked my daughter into getting a tattoo?"
"Leah!" The boys shouted in unison before she could open her mouth.
Dad just shook his head silently, waved his hand as if saying "those younglings", and left.
The boys ran after him in a hurry, their faces showing the satisfaction of a soldier who had won the battle.
Dad almost missed Jake on the way out. He was only gone for a few hours, but I felt as happy as if I hadn't seen him for ages.
"Hi baby." He came up and kissed me the way I like it: a little longer than a regular peck, but too short to enjoy the irritating softness of his lips. "Did you miss me?"
"No, not at all," I lied teasingly. "You know, I've been busy. These interns... Oh, they tried so hard... When a man tries, he can be so gentle."
"Silence, woman," he said, slightly irritated. "Did you know that I was recommended for rehabilitation? I didn't even have to ask for details. The rehabilitator was clearly happy about the opportunity to cooperate. Apparently my fame precedes me," he laughed, probably referring to the nurse. "Very nice girl," he continued, just to drive home the point about the interns. "Such a cute blonde with curly hair. Scarlett Johansson type. I don't know how such a little thing would cope with me... But well, even at the FBI they say that the biggest bombs come in the smallest letters. I think I will decide to undergo these treatments, I am intrigued by how much strength this girl has…"
"Okay, stop it or I will personally shut your mouth."
"Then I will add a few more words," he said, smiling and closing his eyes, as if ready for the promised gag.
I leaned towards him, cupped him lightly under the chin and, contrary to what he probably expected, I put my tongue into his mouth without any preamble. Hmm... that was all he could purr, and for a moment I felt that my decisive outburst of passion had disarmed him.
He completely surrendered to me, still didn't open his eyes, and I wanted to tell him with the caresses of my lips and tongue how much I wanted him.
"Isabella Swan!" I heard my father's voice behind me. "I guess I don't know much about my daughter after all!" Charlie shouted after a moment of embarrassing silence, looking at us with a surprised expression, in which, unfortunately, I also noticed disappointment with what he saw when entering the room. "I came back to arrange with you what time to pick you up from the hospital, and what do I see? I understand that…"
"Dad…"
"Yes," Jacob said at the same time, half-conscious.
"Dad…" I finally found my voice. "Jake and I… we're… kind of together."
"Well, it SEEMS like that," the father said with a scowl. "I hope this is not what your cordial relations with all your FRIENDS, as you called them lately, look like. Jake, excuse my bluntness, but I need to talk to my daughter alone. And don't rejoice prematurely, I will also exchange a few words with you."
Jacob stood up, looked at my father as if he wanted to say something, but decided against it and just left.
I was left alone with an angry Charlie who, to make matters worse, closed the door behind Jake. There was a storm brewing with hail.
"Am I to understand that it was HE who dragged you to the reservation? And I owe your sudden interest in the wildlife to him? And this accident? And riding a motorbike before? Because, as far as I know, Jake's hobby is cars and motorbikes, right? Can you even have relationships with boys without landing in a hospital?"
Charlie was really angry.
"First Edwin, who decided to leave, making you depressed, and now Jacob? Okay, Bells, I didn't like this Edwin, he seemed so... too mature for you, but Jake? I'm friends with his father and I've known the kid since childhood. I don't question that he's a good guy, but if you're counting on my consent when it comes to his sexual education, you're wrong. Before you start making out with a horny teenager, and believe me, I was young too, learn responsibility! Enough, Isabella! You're going to college soon and I hope you'll do something other than love there. And forget about La Push!" He went out furious into the corridor.
And so I single-handedly ruined my own dreams of spending the rest of the summer in the manly arms of a certain hot Native American.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is to sit and freely bang your forehead against the wall at the enormity of your own stupidity.
How could I have known that Charlie would come back?
I understood my father perfectly. Jake was his friend's son and something like my little brother, a nice friend to help me out of the mental holes that Edward (according to my dad) made me fall into, and generally the sight of half-conscious Jacob with his daughter's mouth penetrating him with pleasure written all over his face was not could have gone unnoticed. I just hoped he wouldn't go to Billy with his conclusions. Jacob's father's approach to the whole situation was difficult to determine.
He only saw us kiss once, but with all the commotion with Sarah Lee, he might have figured it was just a joke. His son may have known how he felt about me, but he certainly had no idea how I felt about him. And maybe he didn't even know that the boy had grown up a bit recently... and I helped him with that. I didn't want to think about all this.
I felt bad. I was alone and I missed Jake, and the worst thing about it all seemed to be that I didn't know how long I would have to live like this, because I couldn't really imagine visiting him on the reservation, much less having him with me. Charlie had no choice, sooner or later he had to accept that I was seeing someone again. But it's better for him to get used to it slowly.
I didn't sleep very well that night. I actually didn't know whether I was sleeping or just awake. I desperately wanted to establish some telepathic contact with Jacob, but either he was asleep or in fact, with the absence of vampires, the wolf characteristics were fading away.
In the morning the dream came.
Like a frame from a movie played in slow motion. I broke free from Jake's tight grip on my hand and, ready to jump, I transformed into a wolf in the air. I ran after the dark silhouette disappearing among the forest thicket. For a moment I flashed this person's face... Edward. I woke up crying.
To avoid going crazy, I postponed analyzing it until later. However, I had to face this issue, too often my dreams turned out to be prophetic.
In the morning Charlie came to the ward to pick me up, thanked the doctors and nurses for taking care of me, helped me pack and dress, waited until I received my discharge card and prescriptions for home medications, we checked in with Leah for a moment, but she wasn't very eager for tender goodbyes (she obviously didn't like the fact that she was the only one left in the ward) and we headed towards leaving the hospital. We met Sam, Emily and… Jacob in the corridor.
"Morning Chief! Hi honey!" he greeted us cheerfully, as if nothing had happened. Fortunately, he wasn't going to kiss me hello.
Charlie looked at him coldly.
"Good morning. Bells, here are the keys, wait a moment for me in the car, I need to have a few words with Jake in private."
Sam and Emily went to Leah's, Jake stayed with my father in the hall, and like a good little girl, I went to the car. Well, I was pretty sure he wouldn't hit him with a baton in a public place.
Charlie returned ten minutes later, calm and suspiciously inscrutable.
He was silent the whole way. Me too.
Finally, when we arrived, he finally started talking.
"I have to admit one thing about this boy, he inherited his father's determination."
And that's all I learned about their conversation. I decided to give Charlie time to think about it until the evening and then attack again.
I busied myself with laundry and cleaning, since the last time I was home was the night I had to pack quickly and go to the rez with Jake. At about eight o'clock I went downstairs to prepare dinner for Charlie, and with a whole plate of his favorite casserole I sat down pointedly across from him.
He ate, clearly satisfied.
"Dad," I dared to start, "There's really nothing wrong with that. It just worked out that way, you know, we've always been kindred spirits. I caught his eye a long time ago and… and… he tried very hard." The memories suddenly came back and his efforts in the tent flashed before my eyes and my face almost turned the color of good vintage burgundy. "And… you know…"
"Yhy… kindred spirits?" Charlie snorted with his mouth full. "Sorry, Bells," he swallowed, "but you barely wiped away your tears after Cullen. As for the kinship of souls, I have no objections, but the kiss that I unfortunately saw had little to do with the soul!"
"Dad… I'm an adult."
"And he doesn't!"
"But he will be in a few weeks!"
"So we'll come back to this conversation in a few weeks! You will gain a greater perspective by getting to know students at the university." Charlie shooted back angrily.
My hands dropped.
"Dad. I love him. He gave me as much as I could take. He was always with me, he gave me joy, hope, sunshine…"
"Bells, I'll say this: I'd rather not know what he gave to you, much less what you gave him, and for now I don't want to hear about any male-female relations under my roof…"
I didn't say another word and dragged myself resignedly to my room. I sat on the bed for a while, trying to calm down, then went to the bathroom to take a long bath. It was ten o'clock, I didn't feel like sleeping, but I couldn't concentrate on watching TV or reading. I turned off the light.
I was honestly hoping Jake would come. It was damn risky, because Charlie was at the height of his allergy to him, but on the other hand, the risk was more motivating than discouraging for Jacob.
Around midnight a tiny rock hit my window. I got up, saw him on the lawn and let him in. As usual, it took him a few seconds to find himself in the room. He was wearing dark jeans and a black T-shirt, so I guessed he wanted to stand out from the dark bushes in front of my house.
I had a speech ready about safety and complications from Charlie, but Jake, without a word of greeting, took me into his arms and took away my ability to not only speak, but breathe. He kissed me as if he had the opportunity to taste my lips for the first time, his hands wandered under my tiny sleeping shirt, causing the familiar butterfly in my stomach to become the size of a large sparrow.
"Jake," I tried to tear myself away from his lips. "Jake!"
"I know, I love you too!"
"For God's sake, if Charlie finds us, we'll have to leave the state, and maybe the continent, today."
"Together? Don't tempt me," he was impatient, pulling down the strap of my T-shirt.
"Jake, do you even know what I'm talking about?" I tried to put them back on.
"Sorry, I'm not ready for an active discussion, but hormones are flooding my gray matter," he replied with simplicity and a sweet smile.
"Jake! You pig! I'm not joking!" I struggled to put on the other strap he had removed and with one hand, pulled my panties back on, which were sliding down under his skillful fingers.
"Shhh... You'll tell me everything tomorrow." It was obvious that he didn't hear at all what I was trying to talk to him about.
He released me from his embrace for a moment and quickly took off his T-shirt. I didn't do anything sensible with this momentary freedom, because the sight of his body had such an effect on me that to resist the urge to touch his skin I would have had to close my eyes and experience sudden amnesia.
Half-naked, he returned to trying to strip me of the little bit of silk that separated his eyes from the desired view.
"Jake, Charlie's about to stop by…" I whispered, surprised that I could still speak.
"Charlie is sleeping."
"We'll wake him up!"
"Are you going to scream?" he purred sensually in my ear, causing the remnants of my common sense to thin out again.
He took his hands away from me for a moment and, quickly scanning the room, in one move he ripped the sheets off the bed and threw them on the floor.
"What are you doing?"
"If your screaming doesn't wake Charlie, the creaking of the bed certainly will. I don't weigh as little as you." And with one hand he unbuttoned his pants, which a second later ended up in the corner along with his T-shirt.
"Will it always be like this? You burst through the window at night and half a minute later the only clothed person in the house is my father?" I laughed. "You've changed, wolf boy. You weren't like this before," I added.
He looked at me with lust.
"I wasn't there and I regret every wasted minute."
"I love you."
"Then stop fighting my hand," he laughed quietly, pushing away my hand that was still securing my panties.
Naked as God created him, he brought to mind the athletic models of ancient sculptors. There was something shameless about the perfect harmony of his body.
He pulled me impatiently to the floor. I lay down first, and so as not to crush me, he placed himself between my thighs, supporting me on his forearms.
"Bells," he whispered every few words, kissing my neck. "I'm sorry, I want you so much... It was supposed to be romantic and leisurely, but…"
And he entered me.
My eyes darkened with pleasure.
I pressed my lips against his neck to keep from screaming.
He tried to be gentle, listened to my body's reactions, loved me so long and so passionately that he was finally pleased to see my eyes water and I lose control. I found his mouth so as not to wake Charlie up again with a moan. Just in time, otherwise Jake would have caused it.
Common sense dictated that we should part ways quickly, glad that we got away with our madness. However, lately I haven't been in the habit of listening to reason, which I proved earlier with the hospital scene and now by letting Jacob into the room.
We lay on the sheets scattered on the floor, both sweaty and tired.
"Jake…"
"Want more?"
"You only talk about one thing. What arguments should I use to convince Charlie?"
"I don't know, I had the impression that the biggest problem was not me, but the fact that his little daughter has grown up and... you see. It's good that he doesn't know exactly what kind of dynamite he has at home."
"Dynamite? Hmm…. I was right when I said YOU were the spark."
"Bells, I love you. That's all that matters."
"Jake, I would like to live a normal life. I'm not a child anymore."
"Charlie thinks otherwise."
"What were you talking about while I was sitting in the car?"
"About responsibility, the importance of feelings, and various things like that." He counted.
"And…"
"I told him that... Anyway, Bells, that kind of guy talks, you know, like a horny young man and his girlfriend's daddy..."
"Jake! What did you say?"
"Truth." He shrugged.
"That?"
"That I have loved you forever, I am incomplete without you and all his attempts to get rid of me from your life are doomed to failure, because I KNOW, and I am absolutely sure of it, that there is no obstacle that I cannot avoid. And whether he wants it or not, he will be my father-in-law one day!"
"You didn't say that," I laughed.
"Well... the word "father-in-law" wasn't mentioned, but only because Charlie left me mid-sentence. Don't worry, Bells. With Edward and the Volturi in the picture, your father is a pleasure."
I was pondering. Jake had a completely different perspective on the whole situation. Ready to fight and hide for who knows how long just to finally achieve his goal. Ultimately, his persistence kept him with me. However, I was impatient, I wanted to officially appear with him and not feel my father's suspicious glances on my back. Edward and Jake were similar in one way, time meant something different to them than it did to me.
"Bells, I think it's time to run, right?"
"When will I see you again?"
"In a few hours, I'll pick you up and we'll go to Leah."
"But you can't…"
"Well, sometimes you have to be consistent. Charlie will understand that he won't win."
"I don't know…"
"Bells, who's the alpha male? Who?" he laughed.
"Okay, chief, you know better."
He got dressed, hugged me tightly and, as usual, jumped out gracefully.
My Jake.
Soon after, I fell tired on the bed and immediately fell asleep.
In the morning, I decided to follow Jake's tactics and, with irreversible stubbornness, force Charlie to come to terms with the facts.
Done and dressed in a denim skirt and a fitted blue, plaid shirt with rolled up sleeves, I went downstairs to prepare breakfast for us. Charlie was already sitting at the kitchen table, drinking coffee and reading the newspaper.
"Hi Dad. Did you get enough sleep?"
"Yes and you?"
"Me too," I lied. "Dad, I'm going with Jacob to visit Leah at the hospital in a moment, apparently she's leaving in the afternoon and we want to help her pack."
"I thought I made it clear, YOU'RE TAKING A BREAK FROM THE RESERVATION!" He almost spilled his coffee choking.
"Dad, understand, they are my friends. They are like family." I tried desperately to convince him.
"Aren't you in a hurry to join someone's family?" he asked angrily.
"Dad, I just want to go to the hospital. What's wrong with that?"
"Company!"
"I've been hanging out with Jake for as long as I can remember, even as a child, and you had no problem with it!" I accused him.
"It's just that Jake has moved up a bit in your eyes lately, am I wrong?"
"Dad… Please, it's just a ride to the hospital, what does Jacob's current status matter?" I tried to cajole.
"This discussion ends now !"
Ok, then I'll have to lie and conspire.
Right after Charlie left for work, I called Jake to come pick me up.
He waited, leaning nonchalantly against the hood of the car. His whole body was saying, "take me home," and I wondered if the rise in my body temperature was Leah's blood or my lack of control over my own lust. I glanced at my young god, who, although fully dressed because it was cold and probably didn't want to cause a sensation, made more of an impression than many celebrities on the spread of a widely read magazine. He was wearing classic gray jeans, slightly faded, and a white T-shirt that perfectly exposed his body. It seemed like nothing, but it added to the imagination.
"How do you do it?"
"What is it, honey?"
"When you fulfill, you leave unfulfilled?"
"Stop it, or we won't make it there today," he smiled innocently.
We got into the car and drove to the hospital, discussing possible scenarios for our battle with Charlie.
Leah sat on the bed waiting for the doctor and her report, dressed in loose linen pants and a tight top that showed off her slim body and showed off the tattoo, a copy of which I also had on my arm. Of course she wasn't alone. Jared, Paul and Seth arrived moments before us.
"Hi!" we both greeted her.
"Hey," she replied, looking at us suspiciously. "So, Bells, did you have an uninjured first night at home? They brought several wounded people at night, I was even afraid it was you," she added sourly.
Jake laughed, and Leah turned to him with a charming smile, "And instead of laughing, wear a turtleneck. You've got a hickey on your neck you idiot!"
Everyone burst out laughing.
The green-eyed attending doctor didn't make us wait long. He came carrying a stack of prescriptions and the discharge letter Leah had been waiting for.
"I'm still not convinced," he said to her.
"Don't worry, doc, they will definitely take care of me at home," she said, looking meaningfully at her brother.
"Oh yes, we even built a new enclosure for her," Seth said quietly, so as not to be heard.
Leah suppressed the burning desire to punch him in the head and with the voice of an innocent girl, she asked him. "So, can I go now?"
"Mrs. Clearwater, I warn you that I will personally take the trouble to check whether you are taking care of yourself as befits a convalescent."
"I'm afraid the rez isn't the best place for you... I mean, it's a bit dangerous."
"Full of bad wolves," added Seth, charmed by the doctor's invitation.
"And poisonous slowworms. A piece of scum that would be of interest to National Geographic," Leah hissed, looking at him with a murderous look.
"Your address is on the hospital files, expect me at the end of the week." The doctor smilingly ignored the warnings, smiled at Leah and left the room.
Jacob took the bag with her things and the six of us headed towards the exit. We both looked back at the same time, looking, perhaps for the last time, at this place. It was here that I was born for the second time, Leah became a mother, in a way, the green-eyed doctor fell in love with his patient, I caused a conflict with Charlie, the nurse started thinking about retirement for the first time...
I think we all looked a bit strange as we walked silently to the car, unhurriedly, because I guess there was no one who wouldn't look after us. Five native Americans and a light-skinned girl who shared a tattoo hidden under her blouse. And blood, which few people knew about.
This hospital stay healed more than just physical wounds. For Leah it was the first moment of admitting her imprinting and moving on from the pain of losing Sam, for me it was a moment of separation from her earlier life, if only because of the changes her blood had caused, for Jake the first period of boyish carefreeness in a long time. Each of us felt that we would miss this place again.
We were supposed to go straight to La Push. I was expecting a call from Charlie at any moment. I knew he would want to control where I was and what I was doing.I was not going to give in, but, without hiding the truth, I was going to calmly inform him that I was with Jacob, making it clear that I was not going to allow myself to be subjugated.
Leah went with the boys, and the two of us decided to surprise her and get her the muffins she wanted.
When we got out of the car, Jake took my hand, completely unconcerned about a possible meeting with my dad, who, due to his profession, could theoretically appear anywhere at any time, and we entered the bakery together. Knowing Leah's appetite and the number of people willing to eat her cookies, we asked for a whole box of chocolate muffins and were about to leave when Jessica and Angela entered the store. They threw their arms around my neck, happy that I had already been released from the hospital. Of course, they were also convinced that we had experienced an encounter with bears in the wild forests of La Push.
Jake, who clearly wanted to announce that we were a couple, preferably through a megaphone in the city center, stood behind me, put his arms around my waist and, quite naturally, pressed his face against my hair. My friends still tried to show interest in my report on my stay in the hospital, but I saw that it took a lot of effort not to ask directly about our relationship. Plus, I felt like Jake himself was distracting.
"Listen, maybe we'll organize a party as soon as everyone feels up to it? What do you say?" Angie asked, excited about the idea of partying.
"I feel up to it now," Jake replied in a sensual voice. "And you, Bells, how's your energy?"
I knew perfectly well that he wanted to scare me, but I bit my tongue so as not to laugh. "It varies during the day, but at night I feel like going wild."
This time he braced himself and hid his devilish smile in my hair.
"Cool! Next week?"
"No problem."
"Great! Don't forget!"
"Right!"
We parted in the parking lot.
"Now I regret not taking some cream puff for myself."
"Cream puff?"
"Hmm... I feel like something delicate, with an even more delicate interior…"
"Jake! Soon I won't even open the fridge without the right associations."
"Or cream tubes… I like to reach my tongue as deep as I can to get as much of the creamy cream as possible…"
"Hmm… and I like cupcakes with icing. When you press it with your tongue, sweet juice gushes out."
"And yeast rolls with raisins, shapely, soft, just the right size to enjoy, but not too big to overeat."
"Chocolate cones! It looks like an ordinary piece of puff pastry, but there is so much sweet delight inside!"
We burst out laughing. We arrived at La Push in great spirits.
Leah was sitting in front of the house with her mother and everyone else. It was the first time I saw her so relaxed. She left the reservation with a broken heart, unsure about my life, not reconciled with the inculcation, but she returned calm and more mature. Strength radiated from her, but this time without the coldness that had previously existed.
We sat with everyone.
"Bells, let's go for a walk. I miss the forest."
"The last time I saw the forest was under specific circumstances…"
"Bells, it's time to move on. Come on!"
Holding hands, we walked towards the forest.
I could smell the forest as clearly as ever before. We walked slowly, and I wondered that for the first time I didn't feel lost among those tall trees, lush bushes and ferns. As if I had known this place forever. I knew exactly where we were going; I don't know where, but I could get him there safely myself. Leah lived on the other side of the clearing where Jake and I sat, stopping on our way to Emily's bonfire. It was that same summer, and yet it felt like ages had passed since that evening.
Strangely, even though I had always been known for poor motor coordination, now I didn't stumble at all. You could say I gained some previously unknown agility. Jake didn't speak, but he looked at me from time to time and seemed to read my thoughts.
"You have changed because your chane has begun. Bella, we don't know if it will end or be paused. You should know that the Volturi and Cullens are not the only vampires we have to face from time to time. In our world, you can be hit at any moment by a wave of heat, indicating the presence of a predator in the area. You'll feel it, Bells.
It was hard for me to get used to this thought."
"But…" he added, "Wolf features have their advantages.
"Like?"
"Strength, perseverance, more sensitive senses… Do you want to see?"
We have now reached the stump where we were sitting before.
"Sit down and close your eyes. What do you hear?"
"Rustling… wind, creaking of trees, chirping of birds…"
"What else?"
I focused.
"I hear the sound of water…"
"Good, there is a waterfall deep inside the rez. Something else?"
"I can hear… your heartbeat."
"Bells, it's the same with smell, sight, even touch and taste."
"I want to try."
"Try what?"
"Your sense of touch and my sense of taste." I teased.
"Bells, you're getting dangerous," he said with delight.
"Now close your eyes, Jake," I whispered in his ear.
He closed his eyes obediently. I tried to silently approach him and surprise him with my touch. But when my lips touched his neck, I noticed that he smiled, as if perfectly anticipating where the kiss would land. I changed my mind and kissed him below his ear.
"Hey!"
"I'm not doing anything!"
"Okay, Jake, here's the deal: you can't interrupt me!"
"Sounds tempting." he smiled.
I sat on his lap, facing him. I ran my finger slowly over his lips. This movement was immediately followed by an identical one, but this time with the tongue. He purred. I played with his lips, and he devoted himself to these caresses, asking for more. I liked that I was the dominant one.
I got off his lap and pushed him lightly to rest his back against the tree behind him. I slipped my hands under his undershirt. I felt his skin vibrating rhythmically where his heart was. He was hot, probably even hotter than usual.
"Help me get this off."
He listened.
I kissed his chest, shoulders, arms, and belly. Approaching his navel, I slowly started unbuttoning his pants.
He already knew what I was getting at.
"Bells…"
"Shhh... Be a good good boy"
"But I can't…" he moaned.
"Jake, you won't give up, will you?"
I removed everything from his hips that separated me from the part of my body that I intended to devote most of my attention to, and at that exact moment I stopped playing with him. I gave him what he didn't have time to ask for. He groaned and ran his hand into my hair.
If I ever felt like I had control over a man, it was when I looked at his face, which was filled with unadulterated, primal pleasure. His impatience excited me and I couldn't resist the pleasure of looking into his eyes, seeing in them that he was closer to heaven than to earth.
"Bells…" he whispered, losing touch with reality for a moment.
It was wonderful to hear my name said like that.
