Kihimoto would like to have a word with whatever it is that keeps putting them in these messes every time they try and enjoy themselves they get tangled up in some mess and this was supposed to be a vacation even though it's a work vacation it wasn't the time to be kidnapped by two extra species women, Kihimoto struggled as he tried to get to the door and unlock it.

Sure the landing will be unpleasant but it's better than being taken away to a hide out for kidnappers, he crawled his way to the door as he forcefully leaned his back against it ready to grab the handle and undo it but the truck suddenly stopped making him fall back against the front seats where the Lizard-woman quickly wrapped her tail around his neck "Sir please calm down this's for your safety along with the lady."

Mero cursed herself for this mess these two ought to be some anti-human extra species and know that her kidnapping will cause distrust between the two sides and worst of all her beloved host is tangled in this mess alongside her unaware of the reason and probably going to be framed by said anti-human groups for the kidnapping whilst glorifying these two kidnappers as heroes that rescued her, that is if they were going to return her.

'No' she shaded this was not the time to get reflected in her mind as she secreted mucus out of her skin enabling her to free herself from the bindings though she was still limited in dry lands, secreting more mucus she crawled towards the door like her host did and just like before the two women hit the brakes but unlike her host the mucus saved her from being sent back as she finally unlocked the back door.

The cold pressure of air assaulted the inside as Mero's mucus made her hand slip off the handle she turned "AH!"

She screamed as she fell off the truck "MERO!"

"LADY MERO!" the two women screamed as they turned the truck around bypassing angry drivers that honked at them for driving the other way whilst Mero kept slipping on the road before she finally came to a stop, two massive lights assaulted her vision before she turned pale.

*HONK

A giant truck was about to smash her, she tried to crawl out of the way but she wouldn't make it in time due to limited movement on land and without the aid of a transport so she closed her eyes embracing the end.

It never came as she was suddenly lifted off of the road hearing the truck passing her by, daring to open one eye she saw her host carrying her in his arms with a relieved look on his face "Are you okay Mero?"

"Yes" she felt her eyes becoming moist "Thank you."

She was about to kiss his cheek for this but their transport turned around returning on the correct road and throwing the two of them back as the doors closed again, the two just then were reminded of their predicament "Who are you?"

Mero glared at the two women "You can take me if you wish but leave this man out of this!"

"Mero what are you-"

"Do whatever you want with me but not until this man is released" she had him cut as she glared at the two.

"Lady Mero we're here to save you not kidnap you" the bigger Oni spoke.

Mero didn't seem to believe her "Like I said leave this man alone."

"We're saving you both from the sea witch Octo."

This seemed to take Mero back as her resolve was shaken a bit but soon after she morphed it back "I demand to speak with you superior then."

"Can't do too risky" the Lizard-woman replied being nervous, Mero became more assured of this tone that these women aren't who they claim to be.

Mero turned to Kihimoto "Unlock the door of escape once more."

In any other point he would question this but the level of command made him squirm and rush "Yes ma'am!"

He again opened the backdoor allowing the air inside "Carry me and go!"

Kihimoto held her in his arms as the two jumped off ignoring their kidnappers, Kihimoto rolled on the snow until both stopped with the human on top of the mermaid "C'mon we need to run and inform the coordinator."

Kihimoto carried Mero again as the two began to run even as the truck crashed the trees behind them and began to chase after the two of them who kept using the trees to outrun the faster vehicle that kept crashing into these trees until they hit a much larger one that destroyed the engine making the vehicle unusable, the kidnappers left their truck as they chose to chase on foot "Crab."

"Kihimoto focus and get me to the river!" Kihimoto rushed to her chosen destination trying his best to outrun the much faster monster women, he ended up tripping but Mero secreted her mucus letting her fall be slippery as she managed to reach the river and swim up.

"No more running please" the Lizard-woman said as she caught up to Kihimoto before she realized he was alone "Where is Lady Mero?"

"Not going to tell" Kihimoto steeled himself preparing for the worst as her larger partner caught him by the back of his shirt.

"Speak up!"

"Never."

"Are you not her host?" the Lizard woman asked before she narrowed her eyes "Unless you're a terrorist after the princess."

"What princess?" he asked in an anger of confusion.

"Playing dumb eh? We'll show you" the larger woman began hitting his head against the tree making his skull ring from the pain "Feel like talking now?"

Kihimoto shook his head prompting more beatings that lasted for long hours until "STOP RIGHT THERE!"

The two women stiffed still holding Kihimoto as Smith came out walking towards them, upon seeing her they dropped Kihimoto unto the ground as Smith smacked their faces "What are you two idiots doing!"

"We were rescuing her highness from kidnapping at first we thought this man is her host then he ran off with her which made us believe that he's part of the plot that-"

"Ahem" the simple stopped any rambling as Mero was wheeled out of a vehicle glaring holes into the two kidnappers making them shiver "There are other ways to protect then to break in and kidnap with little details if not for Ms. Smith here clearing things for me the two of you would have caused the plot to thicken."

The two kidnappers immediately fell to their knees "We're sorry your highness!"

"Where's my host?" Mero asked not seeing her beloved hist with them.

"Here" the Oni quickly fetched Kihimoto off of the ground, he was in a very bad shape with numerous lumps and dimples.

Mero wheeled herself towards him "My poor dear host."

She hugged him caressing his face for tender before she turned glaring at the kidnappers who again kneeled down with their heads hung low in great shame "We're sorry."

"It can't be helped if the two of you were misinformed it means that the troubles are a lot greater than we believed them to be" Smith sighs with a yawn "As if dealing with introductions of new species to the human world isn't enough anti groups are making it even more difficult with their influence."

Kihimoto felt lost but more so than that felt great pain as he was quickly tended to and allowed to lay down on a bed with Mero by his side as she again kept caressing his face "I'm sorry beloved I really wish things could so simple for us, I never wanted anything of this magnitude to come."

Kihimoto was dreading what she was saying as if she's saying goodbye "Mero are you leaving?"

"Depends" she said turning away "For now we need to go back home, my home."

"You mean the sea?" where else would a mermaid live.

"Yes the sea the Kingdom of Atlantis, yes as that Atlantis" she answered the unspoken question.

"Mero what's going on and what does have to do with you?"

Mero sighed internally wanting nothing more than to wake up from this terrible dream but alas it was no dream and she could no longer live the fantasy she was living with her host anymore "Beloved while you had been open minded regarding me and other extra species but that doesn't all humans are and neither are our side, I came here with the hopes that me the princess of Atlantis inclusion in this exchange program would give it the help it needs."

"Princess?"

"Yes, sorry for lying to you for so long my beloved host but now I formally introduce myself to you as Princess Meroune Lorelei of the Kingdom of Atlantis."

Kihimoto jaw dropped at this revelation all this time he was housing a princess of the sea.

Mero's true identity is revealed as the princess of Atlantis, the name comes from me as the Kingdom doesn't have a proper name in canon but it'll have to wait since I'm working on my schedule sorry for the inconvenience, Thank you for reading and have a nice day.
