"Dr. Brightman, I'll show you and your staff the way to the control tower's infirmary." Alexander offered.

"That'll be helpful and then we can start getting our supplies moved into there and stored away." She responded.

"And Dr. Beckett can make sure the equipment is functioning properly. Until we can add the subroutine to the programming that Johnathan developed that will let non Alterans use it, anyway."

"Aye, the sooner we know if any of it is still working the better. Exploring this place could be dangerous."

"True. Corda and I don't know anything about the labs, for instance, because we weren't scientists. Besides the scientists that were assigned to the Congeria when she was an explorer vessel, we only knew one scientist anyway. And not alot about his research. Just a few things he occasionally mentioned. And you already know, some of our scientists had some really bad ideas."

Once he'd deposited the medical people in the infirmary, Alexander went looking for Jon, who was talking to Allyson.

"I've got Dr. Brightman setting up in the infirmary. She's got people moving the medical supplies into there."

"Good, we're just discussing the agenda moving forward." Jon answered.

"I need to get my people started on studying things." Allyson said.

"Once we've got quarters assigned for everyone and the supplies put away, we can talk about exploring the labs. But as I told Dr. Beckett and Dr. Brightman, we need to be careful, neither Corda nor I have any idea what's in those labs." Alexander said.

"No one enters one until one of us Alteran descendants or Alexander or Corda have had a chance to run a scan on the contents of the room." Jon reminded her.

"Now that we're here, we have access to more hand scanners. Mine isn't the only one anymore."

"We need to start making contact with the people of Pegasus." Dr. Weir cut in. "The sooner I can start negotiating to get replacement supplies, the better."

"We have several months worth of supplies, Doctor. We're good for now. We need to establish our base here first." Jon told her. "Then I'll start sending out first contact teams."

"I request permission to be on the first team."

"Denied. No civilians will be going out at all, until we have established whether or not Pegasus is still in a state of war. You know that, Doctor, we discussed it before we left. And you are not trained on first contact protocol anyway."

"I'm renewing my objection to that, there should be a civilian to help show we're not aggressive."

"We're not aggressive. I find your eagerness to get out there without some intelligence curious, Doctor. Especially given the complaints you had over those few days you were in charge of the SGC about them being, in your opinion, reckless, when they first started exploring. They had no idea what they might find out there, but we have some idea of what we might find here. You're just going to have to be patient, eventually we'll have people you can negotiate with."

Sheppard returned to the control room just then. "We've cleared several of the ready response rooms, sir. They're decent sized, like studio apartments, each has their own facilities, but the door mechanism only respond to us descendants right now."

"I can help with that." Allyson said. "Alexander warned us about that and I've already written a subroutine to bypass it. If you can just show me were I can access the computer, Alexander, I can get it added in."

"Sure, I'll need to let Atlantis know it's alright for you to do that and then you can. Just remember to remind your people not to add anything without clearing it first. I know Johnathan showed you and Carter the nuances of Alteran programming before we left, so anything you wrote shouldn't interfere, but we don't want to take any chances."

"I agree and I'll make sure to remind them." Alexander led her to an auxiliary station and let her know the infirmary equipment needed Johnathan's subroutine added as well and left her to do her 'technomagic' as Jack called it, which didn't involve any actual Magic.

"Where'd Daniel get himself off to?" Alexander asked Jon.

"I've got Lorne keeping an eye on him. I'm half convinced he gets lost on purpose, just so he can explore without Jack nagging on him to be careful."

"I wouldn't put it passed him."

"Come on, let's help with putting these supplies away. The sooner we do that, the sooner we can get started on exploring Atlantis and then we really can get started on figuring out what's going on out there." Jon said.

"Too bad the other towers are closed off right now, ii would be nice to find mine and Corda's apartment or the ones we grew up in. Millions of people used to live here and we didn't even meet until we were over fifty, but this was both our homes for a long time."

"And now it is again."
