I do not own The Loud House or Pokemon.
"Huh?"said all the Loud children at the same time, wondering what their grandfather was talking about when he said pokémon trainer.
"Like, what's a Pokemon trainer?"inquired Leni, as that's the first time she's ever heard that word before.
"I think I got a general idea."said Lincoln, who had a feeling he know what a Pokemon trainer was, but he couldn't be sure until his grandfather explained.
"I must admit I've never heard that word before despite the fact that I'm well versed in several languages."said Lisa, as even she's never heard the word Pokemon before.
"Dad! We talked about this!"shouted Lynn Sr, who was surprisingly firm with his father.
"Just because you didn't want to do it doesn't mean my little minnows don't want to do it."pointed out Leonard, something his son Lynn couldn't argue with.
"Well...um... well it's still dangerous!"said Lynn Sr in defiance.
"Will someone tell me what the Pokemon trainer already?"inquired Lori, causing Lincoln to speak up.
"Well apparently you can command these really cool creatures called Pokemon. And they can do all these kinds of things."said Lincoln, before he was dismissed by most of his sisters.
"Pssh, yeah right, Lincoln. I have more important things to do right now, so I'll be going."said Lori, before she caught off the connection with Leni's phone.
"And here I thought you two couldn't get any more crazier."said Lynn, before she went upstairs so she could finish her chores.
"I call fowl Play. Hahahahahaha! But seriously, I got better stuff to do than here this nonsense."said Luan, before she left to her room so that she could finish her chores.
"I would love to stay in chat, but I'm needed at the racetrack. See ya."said Lana, before she made her way out the front door so she could go to the racetrack to meet up with her favorite racer, Bobby Fletcher.
"... Well that was to be expected."said Lincoln, who expected most of his sisters not to believe him and quickly dismiss the idea of Pokemon.
"I'm surprised the rest of you didn't decide to leave with the rest of them."said Lincoln, turning his attention to his remaining sisters.
"Well it's hard to dismiss your claims when there is an unidentified Anas platyrhyncos on the screen with her grandfather on our father's side."pointed out Lisa, referring to the Psyduck on the screen.
"Psyduck."said the duck Pokemon in question.
"Hey, buddy! It's been awhile since we've last seen each other."said Lynn Sr, happy to see that his father's pokémon / his childhood friend was all right.
"You know that creature, Daddy?"inquired Lola, wondering how her father knew that duck like creature on the screen.
"That Psyduck grew up with me and your uncle Lance. He's practically another Loud."said Lynn Sr, who was glad to see that Psyduck was alive and well.
"How come you never told me about this?"inquired Rita, wanting to know why her husband kept this creature a secret from her.
"Don't be angry with Lynn, Rita. I made him promise not to tell anyone outside the family about Psyduck. And then I made a promise not to tell any of you about pokémon until the kids were old enough."said Leonard, willing to take the blame for what happened.
"Yeah..."said Lynn Sr, who was busy hiding behind the couch in case his wife decided to blame him.
"We'll have a long talk about this later."said Rita, causing her husband to calm down.
"For now, why did you tell us everything about this Pokemon trainer business."said Rita, causing Leonard to take in a deep breath before he decided to explain.
"Well as you know, the Loud family traveled a lot during their lifetime. When I was a little boy, my father brought me to a place called Sinnoh. It was there that I meant professor Rowan, who introduced me to the world of Pokemon. I encounter the world I never thought I would see, seeing things I never thought were possible. I had so many Adventures that were the stuff of Legends with my Pokemon by my side. Now I wanted Lynn and Lance to have that same adventure, but their mother convinced me it was too dangerous. Now though, I want to give this opportunity to my grandkids. Lincoln showed me the message that professor Rowan put behind that photo, and I think this is destiny telling me that it's time for my little minnows to become Pokemon trainers. It's a shame some of them left, but if they don't want to hear my explanation, then I don't think they're ready to become Pokemon trainers."said Leonard, summarizing his time as a Pokemon trainer.
"So what is a Pokemon trainer, Gramps?"inquired Leni, who was curious.
"A Pokemon trainer individual that has the ability to capture and train Pokemon, creatures that it can harness the very powers of nature. Psyduck here has the ability to use the element of water, and even has some psychic type moves under his belt. Pokemon come in all shapes and sizes, and let me tell you that by being with pokémon, the horizons of the world are even more open."said Leonard with a sincere smile on his face.
"That sounds awesome."said Lincoln with a smile on his face!
"Yeah, it does."said Lucy with a small smile on his face.
"Um... I feel that Lana would say that something like that is illegal."said Lola, who's been around Lanadale long enough to know that that's what Lana would say.
"Hahahahaha! If I had a pokédollar for every time someone told me that. The short answer it is not a legal to do that to Pokemon, because Pokemon want to do that."said Leonard, confusing his grandchildren.
"Huh?"said the remaining Loud children at the same time.
"Pokemon by their very nature, love to battle! They will battle each other any chance they get, so that they can get stronger and possibly achieve evolution. For example, Psyduck here has the ability to evolve into a Pokemon called Golduck, but he's one of the few Pokemons that likes his form as is. Most Pokemon would rather achieve a form of evolution in order to have a stronger body. The strongest Pokemon in the world belong to Pokemon trainers, and a long time ago Pokemon discovered that by joining up with a Pokemon trainer, the process of getting stronger happens at a faster rate. So Pokemon will purposely jump out in front of humans, to see if they are worthy of becoming their Pokemon trainer. Realistically, at the end of the day, the Pokemon in question is the one who decides everything."said Leonard, explaining how Pokemon were the ones who decided that they wanted to be captured or not.
"I guess that makes sense, but it makes my brain hurt."said Leni, who was clenching her head.
"Well that sounds rocking."said Luna, who sounded impressed.
"Oh, let me get in contact with professor Rowan and see if I can do screen this. Now I just need to press this... and let's hope he's still using that same number he used all those years ago."said Leonard, before he began messing with his laptop.
This concerned his family until a few seconds later the screen of the laptop dual screened, and an Old gentleman wearing a lab coat appeared on the other side of the screen, next to Leonard.
"Hello?"set the man on the screen.
"Rowan, it's me!"said Leonard with a smile on his face.
"Well if it isn't Leonard Loud. I was wondering when you were going to call me and take me up on my offer to make your grandchildren pokémon trainers."said professor Rowan, who sounded a surprise even though his expression was non-changing
"Well I didn't notice your message until my grandson pointed it out..."said Leonard nervously.
"I'm not surprised one bit considering your personality."said professor Rowan, who didn't sound surprised.
That is when he looked on to the rest of the screen and noticed the Loud family.
"I'm guessing that's your son Lynn and his family."said professor Rowan, noticing the rest of the family.
"Hi, professor Rowan. My name is Lincoln, and it's nice to meet you."said Lincoln with a smile on his face.
"It's nice to meet you too, Lincoln. I must say you remind me a bit of your grandfather when he was younger, as you look a little bit like him."said professor Rowan, who sounded happy even though his expression was still stern.
"It's nice to see you again, professor Rowan."said Lynn Sr, happy to see the professor alive and well.
"Ah, it's nice to see you too, Lynn. I was disappointed when you decided not to become a Pokemon trainer, but I respect your mother's wishes so I decided not to interfere."said professor Rowan.
"Being a Pokemon trainer was never my thing since cooking has always been my thing."said Lynn Sr, revealing that it was no big deal that he could never become a Pokemon trainer.
"Hmm... I believe I'm being called today seeing as your grandchildren are interested in becoming Pokemon trainers."said professor Rowan, tossing many of the family to nod their heads.
"Well several of my granddaughters didn't give the idea a time of day as they believed it was nonsense."said Leonard, revealing that several of his granddaughters were not present because they didn't believe in Pokemon.
"... I can't say I'm surprised considering most of the world doesn't even know the existence of Pokemon. Well, enough about that. Now, who among you are interested in becoming Pokemon trainers?"inquired professor Rowan, wanting to see who would take up the offer.
"Well, can you tell us a bit about how this Pokemon trainer business works?"inquired Lincoln, causing professor Rowan to look over at Leonard.
"...Hey, don't look at me like that. I was going to tell them one day, I swear."said Leonard nervously.
"Well here in Sinnoh, there are two main competitions that Pokemon trainers participated. That would be the Lily of the Valley conference and the Grand Festival."said professor Rowan calmly, getting the attention of several Louds.
"The lily of the Valley Conference is an annual competition where Pokemon trainers will battle it out to see who has a chance to take on the Pokemon League champion, the strongest Pokemon trainer and all of Sinnoh. In order to participate, Pokemon trainer must challenge eight facilities known as Pokemon gyms, and take on the strongest Pokemon trainer at that gym, known as the gym leader. Once a Pokemon trainer has defeated a gym leader, they will be awarded a gym badge as proof of their victory. Collect eight Gym badges, and you can participate in the Lily of the Valley Conference."explained professor Rowan, getting the particular attention of Lincoln and Lucy.
"The Grand Festival is an annual competition where Pokemon coordinators, Pokemon trainers who mainly entertain crowds with beautiful displays of Pokemon abilities participate."said professor Rowan, getting the particular attention of Leni and Lola.
"And what do Pokemon trainers have to do at this Grand Festival?"inquired Lola, as her interest was peaked.
"Before you can even think about participating in the Grand Festival, a Pokemon trainer must first win a Pokemon contest. A Pokemon contest is a competition where trainers will dress up and perform in front of a large crowd, trying their best to impress three particular judges. It's not about Pokemon battling skills out of Pokemon contest, it's about showing the beauty of you and your Pokemon. Most Pokemon coordinators dress up and use special capsules called seals to release their Pokemon beautifully onto the stage. Next they will show off their Pokemon's moves in a spectacular faction, with the judges deciding at the end of the day if you can move on to the next round. In the second round, the winner is decided on who battles the best. Basically two trainers will battle it out for about five minutes, during that time you will lose points if your Pokemon receives damage or if the opponent does something spectacular with a Pokemon move. The winner will be the Pokemon trainer who had the least amount of damage to their points. Of course, if a Pokemon is knocked out then it's an automatic win for the winner."explained professor Rowan, summarizing what a Pokemon contest was, and what someone had to do to get to the Grand Festival.
"Well count me in!"said Lincoln with a smile on his face.
"Professor Rowan, other Pokemon that are more in the taste for a goth like me?"inquired Lucy.
"Well there are Dark type Pokemon and Ghost type Pokemon, so I would say yes."answer the professor.
"Then count me In!"said Lucy with a small smile.
"I'm like so interested in this Pokemon contest business, so I'm in!"said Leni with a smile on her face.
"I'm in as well. I already love dressing up and performing, so it sounds like this Pokemon coordinator stuff is my next step in becoming a star!"said Lola with a smile on her face.
"Then I guess that means you and your big sister are rivals."pointed out Leonard.
"Oh, don't get me wrong. I am interested in becoming a Pokemon trainer, but I'm more interested in helping Lola become a proper Pokemon coordinator."said Leni, surprising everyone in the room.
"Really?"said Lola, who was surprised by what Leni said.
"You know I've always been more interested in becoming a fashion designer. Part of that is helping other shine with my magnificent dresses. Lola, since you want to become a Pokemon coordinator I want you to become my muse. I will make your dresses for the Pokemon contests, and I want you to give it your all so that you can get to the Grand Festival."said Leni, revealing that she was more interested in making Lola dresses for the Pokemon contest and actually participating in the Pokemon contests.
"...Thank you, Leni!"said Lola, before she gave her second oldest sister a big hug.
"Man, I wish I could go. But The Moon Goats and I have a lot of gigs coming up, and I just can't let my friends down, especially Sam."said Luna, cool though wanted to become a Pokemon trainer knew she couldn't, as she had other obligations.
"And I'm afraid Lily is too young to become a Pokemon trainer."said Rita, revealing that Lily wasn't allowed to go.
"Poo-poo."said Lily, who sometimes hated being the youngest.
"Don't worry, little one. Your time will come one day."said professor Rowan, making Lily feel much better, as she smiled and giggled.
"So, I guess four of my grandchildren are going to become Pokemon trainers."said Leonard, referring to Leni, Lincoln, Lucy, and Lola.
"What about the rest of them?"inquired Lynn Sr, referring to his other daughters.
"Since they didn't believe that Pokemon exist and they didn't give time for their grandfather the properly explain, they will not be allowed to become Pokemon trainers this time around. They we'll have a chance next time"said professor Rowan sternly.
"I agree. If they stayed behind and listened, then that would have been a different story."said Leonard, who is in agreement with the professor.
"Well, we can't argue with that."said Rita, with her husband nodding his head in agreement.
"So, when can we go to Sinnoh?"inquired Lincoln, wanting to know when he and the others could go to Sinnoh.
"I'm already arranging for tickets that will pick you up tomorrow morning at the Great Lake City airport. I well personally arrive to pick you up. Now I suggest you only come with essentials, as being a Pokemon trainer means carrying only the bare minimum since you'll constantly be on the go. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to make arrangements for my flight to the United States."said professor Rowan, before he caught off communications.
"Man, professor Rowan is as scary as ever."said Lynn Sr, revealing that he was intimidated by the professor the whole time.
"Lisa, you've been awfully quiet this whole time. Do you want to become a pokémon trainer?"inquired Rita, wondering why Lisa has been quiet the whole time.
"While I would love to study a whole new environment of creatures I didn't know existed until now, I'm afraid my current obligation with the science institute prevent me from leaving town for a while. It pains me to miss this opportunity, but I'm sure my siblings will allow me to look at their Pokemon when they come home."said Lisa, revealing that she had other obligations right now and she couldn't leave, much to her frustration.
"You will not experiment on our Pokemon!"said Leni, Lincoln, Lucy, and Lola at the same time.
"Dang it!"said Lisa, who was really hoping to do experiments on the Pokemon that her siblings brought home.
"Leni, since you're the oldest you'll be in charge. Lincoln, you're in charge of Leni."said Rita, making sure that her children that we're leaving understood that her two most responsible children currently living in the house were in charge.
"I literally will make sure nothing happens to them."said Leni with a smile on her face.
"Yeah, I'll make sure of that too."said Lincoln, who knew that he was responsible for Lucy and Lola.
"Okay, now that that's out of the way. All of you pack your stuff and get ready to go to Sinnoh."said Lynn Sr, causing his four children who were going to leave to head to their rooms as fast as they could so they could pack their stuff.
"I'm so sad and so proud of the same time."said Lynn Sr, feeling so proud of his children and at the same time sad that four of them were leaving home at once.
"We both knew that this was going to happen one day. I mean I thought it was going to be the oldest, not several of our children leaving to island called Sinnoh to capture and train creatures that can literally do who knows what, but as long as they have each other, I know our kids are going to do great."said Rita, as Louds were strong and loud!
"You got that right, Rita!"said Leonard, who knew that his son picked a good one.
"What how about the others? I'm sure they're going to be jealous when they find out that Pokemon are real."pointed out Lisa.
"We'll just have to give him the whole life isn't fair speech. They decided not to listen, and now they have to stop at the consequences."said Lynn Sr, who knew in the situation he had to be stern with his children.
Especially the ones who didn't listen to his father and professor Rowan m
"I'm so proud of you, son. You certainly live up to the family name."said Leonard, before he cut off the communication.
Meanwhile upstairs, the four loud children that we're going to center we're packing up their stuff. Lucy wanted to bring Edwin, but she doubted he would get past customs so she decided to reluctantly not bring him. Lola meanwhile was deciding on what dress she was going to wear to Sinnoh. Lincoln was busy packing up clothes and other essentials. As for Leni, she got an idea and quickly began taking fabric towards her sewing machine.
"New adventure means new outfits!"said Leni with a smile on her face, before she began sewing up new outfits for her siblings to wear on their journey to Sinnoh.
"I totes know my siblings are going to love their new outfits."said Leni with a smile on her face, as she couldn't wait to finish her new outfits for her and her siblings.
I decided to go with these three for the following reasons.
Leni cuz the younger kids needed a chaperone, and she has a heart of gold so I knew she would agree.
Lucy because there is plenty of pokémon she would be interested in that live in Sinnoh.
And Lola because of Pokemon contests.
The others may join later on in the story, but I'm still not sure as I'm not very fond of them like these three.
That is all I had to say.
I'm General Jaguar, and I am out of here!
