Perla felt oddly spry yet aching everywhere as she washed the clothes in the wooden tub, and she tried to keep occupied, ignoring the aches and pains before she shouted in pain and surprise, hunching over from a contraction, and confused, she panted deeply before widening her eyes as she saw fur forming on her hand.
Panting heavily, trying to get up, she looked at the mirror, seeing fur spreading, with a tail and such, but she's somehow halted, like a hybrid of human and beast as the fur suddenly stopped, and she cried out in pain again from another contraction, and she then gasped, realizing that she's in labor, yet she somehow didn't have the signs of a big baby bump, tender breasts...before she felt something leaking through her shirt, and she opened it to reveal her old teats plump of milk...
Perla didn't know what was happening. How was she pregnant again? Was she cursed or something? It then hit her, when she and Adam were beasts, maybe that was the reason, but at the moment, there wasn't much time to dwell on that...
She took deep breaths as she walked to her and Adam's bedroom, grabbing the blankets and sheets, instinctively making a nest on the deerskin rug, taking off her shirt and skirt, kicking off her half-destroyed shoes and went to lay down, panting and crying out deeply through contractions, finding that her nose and tongue is beastly as she checked her vagina, licking it for the next 20 minutes before water then broke out of her.
She then gritted her teeth as she pushed upon contractions, crying out in pain for the next 15 minutes before she heard her younger children coming into the house, with Eli calling out, "Mama, we're home!".
"Azure gave the whole class partners to work on a project!", Jolene's voice laughed, with Teddy's loud mock-snore, "You're lucky you're partners with Gianna! I got boring homework!".
Rosaline's voice piped up, "Mama?! Hey, guys, the washing tub is out, not in the closet!", as Perla was about to reply casually when she cried out in pain upon another push, feeling something getting close to her vagina.
"Mama!", the children's voices clamored in fright and confusion as Perla heard their boots and shoes run up the stairs, and Perla called out, "Don't come in, kids! Eli, go get Azure! Jolene, go find your father! Teddy, help Rosaline finish the laundry! Is that clear?!
The children, more confused than ever, yet trying to figure out what's going on, chorused, "Yes, Mama!", and ran back down the stairs as Perla groaned, looking at her vagina, licking it before taking a deep breath, pushing as she cried out in pain, panting as she felt that the baby is both eager yet taking its time, as she gave a small smile, "I wonder if you're the twins this time..Please don't blame me if this takes a long time...You were unexpected...At least I wasn't too rusty for this...".
As she waited for Adam, she at least got herself as comfortable as she could be at the moment; now taking stock in what exactly had happened and feeling confident that this was all because of their special night together back in their beastly forms.
She knew she had taken the anti-pregnancy herbal tea every time she and Adam planned for lovemaking, and that special night, the temporary potion for transforming them into beasts must have been powerful to negate the anti-pregnancy herbal tea, and of course, helped make the conception of the baby/ies.
She took deep breaths as she kept pushing upon contractions, her cries of pain echoing, and she gasped out, shouting in pain as she looked back to see a membrane crowning through her vagina, and she clenched her fingers and feet into the nest, feeling the head widening her vaginal walls.
"Mama?!", Azure, her eldest daughter, almost 18 years old, called out as Perla heard her coming up the stairs, and Perla called out, "Come in, quickly! I need your help!".
Azure got in before she gasped for a moment at what she was seeing with her mother, "Please, Azure, not right now, we've got other issues at the moment... like the fact that you're going to have some baby siblings...".
Azure nodded as she closed the door quickly, and went to help her mother, "Okay, you got this, Mama. I'm here, and Papa's coming soon, I hope he didn't go too far today in exploring and mapping the forest spot he's in.", shocked that she's literally helping her mother deliver, but prayed that the few lessons she had with Gramma Leila is still fresh in her memory, "Push, Mama, breathe and push!", as she fluffed the blankets, gently ripping a bit of the membrane.
Perla took a deep breath, and pushed, crying loudly in pain as the baby came through the vagina slowly, with Azure assuring her, "That's it, Mama! The head's almost out! Golly, it's a cub!".
"Yeah... like I suspected...", Perla chuckled through the pain as Azure nodded, "Yeah, I can take a wild guess what's happened then... we'll obviously need to talk when this is all over... another push, Mama!".
Perla took another deep breath, pushing as she shouted in pain, feeling the shoulders coming through, and kept going before she felt the baby slip out, and she immediately moved, ripping the membrane further as she cleaned the cub backwards before a squealing cry pierced the air.
Tears in her eyes, Perla smiled happily as she nuzzled and licked the cub as it squealed and squeaked, crawling almost clumsily, "Hello, my baby boy...How beautiful you are...", as she took deep breaths, still feeling contractions, but less painful for the moment.
Her son whimpered as he snuffled, wiggling into her warm fur, as he revealed to have dark auburn fur with streaks of black fur, almost as Adam in his beast form, but slimmer in a way like his mama in her beast form.
Blind, deaf for the time being, the cub vocally made himself known as he explored through the border of Perla's belly, and Azure chuckled, "He's a mix of you and Papa, Mama...I forgot how small we were...", watching her baby brother find his way to a teat, suckling almost instantly in his first meal in the outside world.
"Certainly was a surprise...", Perla sighed for the moment. "I certainly hope that this little one will change like you all had after the curse broke. Not that I would obviously disown or exile any of you because of your appearances; just...".
"Easier to explain to strangers and all, I know, Mama.", Azure smiled with a nod, understanding what her mother meant by that.
Perla smiled softly before wincing at another contraction, and Azure asked, "You okay, Mama?", and Perla replied, "I'm alright. I was right again as this is going to be the twins that I remarked with your father long ago when I thought you and the rest of the brood were them...At least the other cub is giving me a break for the moment.".
Azure chuckled, "I don't remember very much of those moments, but yeah, we definitely were sneaking by you.", before hearing her father's voice shout, "Where's your mother?!", sounding worried and scared.
Rosaline's voice replied, "In your bedroom, Papa! Azure's with her!", and Azure smiled, "He's going to be shocked.", as they heard his loud boots clambering against the stairs.
"You better go stop him first before he comes in here; don't want to scare the newborn.", Perla suggested as Azure left the bedroom. She soon reached the hallway before Adam hurried in, "Slow down, Papa... it's alright! I swear, just... calm down for a moment to let me tell you what has happened...".
Adam looked worried, "But...", looking past her to the door of the bedroom, and Azure replied, "Mama is not cursed or anything like that, she's both human and beast, and I suspect she will be that way for some time.".
Sky-blue eyes widened, "What? How?", Adam asked urgently, and Azure smiled, "Body instincts, I suppose, and she's okay, recovering yet still due. Just don't be so loud even if my baby brother is deaf and blind for the time being...Come on, Papa.".
Adam was speechless when he heard his daughter, and numbly followed her to the bedroom, opening and closing the door as Perla was cleaning her son with her tongue as she got comfortable in the nest, a tender look in her eyes, looking up with a smile, "Surprise...".
There were no words for a few moments before Adam took a deep breath. "The night with the potions, right?", he asked as she nodded, "Looks that way... I didn't even realize that I was pregnant until just earlier when the contractions started.".
Adam got closer, kneeling by Perla's side, "Oh, Perla...A boy...He's perfect...", kissing her on the temple, and Perla smiled as she sighed softly, "You don't mind if he and his soon to be born twin are cubs for the time being?".
"No, I don't mind, and like Azure said, you weren't cursed, so he can change to human when he's ready...Wait, you have one more waiting?", Adam replied before looking at Perla with awe and joy.
Perla giggled, "It's the twins I thought the brood was...I suppose the potions had negated the potent of having multiple children at their own pace, and now, twins is supposedly the limit behind the potions, and for once, I'm grateful. Don't get me wrong, having five children at a time was wonderful, but stressful in a way while I was on the run...But now we're safe, free, and in a new place...".
"And at least two is easier to manage without worrying about playing favorites or anything like that.", Adam teased as Perla chuckled, "Lord knows we've tried to keep that from happening...".
Adam sighed deeply, "I forgot how fragile yet alive they were as this...", in love with his son as he watched him wiggle and gulp down his mama's milk, "He truly is a mix of us...How about Marco, in honor of your father?", with a warm smile.
Perla's eyes widened, and tears fall, "Oh, Adam...I love it! Papa would be so happy about it. Marco Geppetto...Our little Marco...", before crying out in pain as she clenched, a hard contraction shooting through her.
"Looks like the other one is ready now...", Adam said as Perla nodded, "Ooooh... this one is really coming... this one doesn't want to be left behind like their brother...".
Azure replied, "You got this, Mama! Steady breaths! Papa, just stay by her!", as Perla breathed deeply through quickening contractions, crying out in pain for the next 15 minutes while she instinctively went to lick her vagina with little Marco being stubborn, latched to his chosen teat, and then the water broke.
"That's it, Mama, push now!", Azure urged Perla, and she grunted, clenching into the blankets as she pushed, crying out even louder in pain, with Adam kissing her temple, "You're doing great, Perla, just a bit more!".
The pushes and reassurances continued on for another 15 minutes before Perla shouted out in pain, and Azure announced, "I see the membrane! The head's peeking!".
"I swear, this is one of the quickest births we've had...", Adam admitted. "Well, might be because they're not exactly human...", Azure suggested as she turned her attention back to the baby.
Perla took deep breaths as she pushed hard, crying out in pain as Azure encouraged her, "That's it, Mama!", helping guide the cub out, "Almost out!", ripping the membrane some, "One more push!".
"You're almost there, Perla!", Adam held her hand, and she gave a small smile, and then took a deep breath, holding Adam's hand tightly as she pushed, feeling the baby slide out, landing safely.
Perla panted heavily as she instinctively moved to wash and simulate the cub by licking the fur backwards, chewing off the rest of the membrane, and then a squealing cry pierced the air as the cub wiggled and squirmed under Perla's licks.
"Oh...Look at you...Isn't she beautiful, Adam?", Perla whispered in awe and motherly love as she now wrapped her tail around her cubs, watching their daughter crawl wiggly as she squeaked, sniffing for her mama's milk, revealing to have light chestnut fur with streaks of black fur, almost alike to her twin brother in colors, though she's more like her mama, with her papa's nose.
"I really can't believe we've got two more...", Adam said as he gently brushed their daughter's head. "I really thought we were probably done with the litter...".
Perla chuckled, "I thought as well, but life surprises us at every corner.", with a smile as she leaned against Adam's shoulder, watching their son finish his meal, heading off into dreamland while his sister found another teat, and began to suckle.
Adam smiled, "True...At least they wouldn't be alone, with Leila, Ella, Belle, and Juliet's children on the way down the road, to be around their age, at least, to play together...What are you going to call her, my pearl of the sea?", as Azure headed to the bathroom to grab some wet rags to clean up Perla and some of the mess.
"Well, I was thinking since we named our village Astre, being a star in shape literally and all, how about Carina?", Perla smiled warmly. "Sounds perfect.", Adam smiled. "The Keel, if I remember my astrology signs correct...".
Perla smiled softly, "I knew you would love it...", as Azure returned, and cleaned her mother up as she heard her new sister's name, "That's so perfect for her...If I remember correctly, their eyes can open in a few weeks.", smiling.
"That's right, Azure...Why don't you tell your other siblings to come up and go get Carlo if he isn't busy at Maurice's hobby store?", Adam chuckled with a proud smile as he looked at his eldest daughter.
Azure smiled widely, "Oh, yeah! Couldn't be the same without a family introduction, even if Marco and Carina can't acknowledge well enough, but maybe they'll sense everybody's presence in a way.", as she adjusted a blanket to cover Perla's back, "I'll be back with Carlo shortly after I tell the others to come up, Mama, Papa.", with a nod before leaving the bedroom.
The two parents once more were alone as Perla continued to try and relax. "I swear, I don't think I'm gonna be able to handle giving birth to many more children...", she told Adam.
Adam smiled as he kissed her on the lips, "I don't blame you, Perla. After all, we're in our 30s now, and besides, I think we had satisfied our wish of mating as beasts, eh?".
Perla giggled softly, "True. I guess the potion of transformation into our beast selves had negated my taking of the anti-pregnancy herbal tea, and now we have two little surprises...", with a tender smile as they watched Carina suckle the milk that she could get out of the teat she's on while little Marco is making little snuffling snores as he slept.
"How long do you think you'll last like this for them?", Adam asked curiously, and Perla hummed, "Well, Azure got weaned at about two months like most of the others...So, I figure about that same amount of time. But you know what? I actually missed this way of nursing them and just being there to clean, play, and sleep with them...", as she leaned down and purred as she nuzzled Marco and licked Carina on the back gently.
Adam chuckled, "And this time, I won't miss this, to watch them grow, and you're even more beautiful than ever before.", and Perla blushed, "Oh, Adam...", before hearing the door creak open slowly, with four human heads peeking out, with Rosaline's eyes widening in surprise, seeing her mama's transformed state as she was the only other human baby who hadn't seen Perla's cursed form or her natural beast form, like Carlo.
"Come in, Eli, Jolene, Teddy, and Rosaline. They won't bite, not for a long time yet.", Perla smiled warmly as their middle children came in quietly and cautiously, coming up to the nest as she unveiled her tail away from the twins slightly.
"Wow...", Eli whispered as they were looking at the little ones. "Some of you obviously were not born or a bit too young to see siblings like this... being born cubs and all.", Adam said.
Teddy blinked, "I was actually that small?", and Perla chuckled, "Oh, yes...I believe Eli and Jolene may vaguely remember, but I can't say for sure. Are you alright, Rosaline?", looking at her middle youngest daughter.
Rosaline nodded, "Yeah...So, if you had made it a bit later to Papa, I would have been born like this?", and Perla smiled, "Oh, yes. Remember, the curse only had a few short months to the deadline by the time I reunited with your papa. It would have been a different story if we hadn't succeeded by the deadline, and we would have protected all of you from out there with all our lives and hearts.", with a shudder, remembering the mob, Gaston, and the magical fight of Sylvia, Evangeline against Facilier.
Jolene took upon a determined look, "We'll protect them, Mama! School's to be done by next month, and we can watch over them, and we will keep an eye on them!". Adam smiled proudly, "Atta girl. I am sure all of you will be taking care to see that Marco and Carina will be safe.".
Eli replied, "Which ones are Marco and Carina? They almost look alike...", and Perla chuckled amusedly, "Marco is the one sleeping, and Carina is the one still eating.".
