Rivercourt Rambles
Chapter 18
"It's like, it's not even real to me, it's like my life isn't even real to me unless you're there and you're in it and I'm sharing it with you.
When you look around our house you can tell who designed which room. Our kitchen is all Lucas. Karen taught him to cook and bake as a kid. His home office.
Yet the living room. Our bedroom. Where i create and design my clothes is all me. Lucas and I knew each other inside and out.
This pregnancy would be coming to an end sooner rather then later
And now these rumors were clouding this overall beautiful experiece. Fatherhood was a sensitive topic for Lucas.
Along with this foolishness of him being unable to satisfy me.
Because that was something that was in the back of Lucas's mind. He would never admit that but i knew my husband.
I had experiences with other guys before. We got together.
Lucas was a clean teen. And took that very seriously. Which i found out later on.
"We didn't get dessert. Do you still want some.?" Lucas asked.
"If you want to get me something you can. You know what i like."
"After you come home i really think we should talk." Brooke said. Gazing up at her husband.
"You are the love of my life. The only man i've ever wanted to have a family with." Brooke stated matter of fact.
"I'm perfectly okay with you and Anna being friends. Don't let the outside world in where it doesn't belong." Brooke added in.
"Julian is everything i'm not and you're parents actually liked him. They tolerate me there is a difference. I never slept with Anna."
"I'm going to take a shower. Then get you're cookies. And something for myself." Lucas announced.
He turned from her and got out of bed. Heading towards the bathroom.
Brooke sighed deeply. Wrapping the covers around her bare body.
Feeling the babies kicking her now.
"You're daddy and I are going to love you so much." Brooke said.
...
Lucas was relieved to not see anymore flashing cameras or tabloid reporters. He made his way to the nearby diner.
Getting an order of black and white cookies for Brooke. Along with a coffeecake muffin for himself.
With a hand on his shoulder. He turned around.
"Hi Stranger." Anna said.
"How are you around when i need you." Lucas replied.
"Just have good timing i guess." Anna replied.
