Character switching between Bumblebee and Sari's locations.
Storytime!
Sari Sumdac strolled thru Sumdac Tower, going towards the entrance. Sari had used her key on Tutor-bot to escape classes for the day as usual and was hoping to be able to spend April fools day with the autobots.
When she got to the abandoned warehouse that the 'bots used as a base, she sneaked inside, not wanting to be asked if she was done with her studies.
Sari snuck around base, praying that she wouldn't show up on a scanner or seen by somebot, she wanted to surprise the autobots, scaring them was just a bonus to the plan she'd created in her mind when she had been walking over from Sumdac Tower.
Sari got to the cybertronian-sized living room area without a problem. She almost fell thru a crack in the floor when she forgot where to look where she was going, bad news since Bumblebee and Bulkhead were in the room. Sari quickly got away from the crack, but then got closer and inspected it, her plan changing to fit her new idea the more she looked at the crack.
"Hey Bulkhead, I'm gonna go into stasis recharge early." Bumblebee said, getting up and turning off the Nintendo he was playing on.
If Bumblebee agrees, my plan should be a success. Sari thought as she dived for a place to hide from the 20-foot tall cybertronian coming her way.
Bumblebee passed Sari, being none-the-wiser to the fact that she was there. Sari followed Bumblebee after he passed her, intent on telling him- and him only- about her plan for April fools day. Bumblebee entered his room and Sari went In after him, just barely missing getting hit by the quickly-closed door.
"Bumblebee." Sari called up to the yellow-and-black 'bot.
"Oh hey Sari, what do you want to do today?" Bumblebee said, reaching down to pick-up Sari.
"You know what day it is, right?" Sari asked.
"Uh, the first of apple?" Bumblebee said, tilting his head to show that he was confused at the question.
Sari giggled, "It's pronounced 'April' not apple, 'Bee. But yeah, it's the first of April, which just so happens to be April fools day, a day reserved for pranks and tricks."
Bumblebee caught on to what Sari meant after she said the last part, "So who are we pranking?" The young autobot asked.
"Alright, listen up," And she told him her plan for the trick she'd been creating in her head.
Bumblebee was shocked and concerned, "Are you sure you want to do that? That could cause you to actually-" Bumblebee was interrupted by Sari,
"I know what I'm doing 'Bee, trust me. Or... do you not?" Sari pretended to be sad that Bumblebee didn't trust what she was saying.
"No, no. I trust yo, I-" Bumblebee sighed, Bumblebee had yet to know anyone who could win against Sari when it came to persuasion. "Fine, so, whatcha got in mind to use?" He said in a cheery voice.
"Oh, I know just what to do." Sari said evily, waving her key at the yellow-and-black colored autobot.
"Sari, are you sure about this?" Bumblebee asked the redhead girl.
"Of course it's fine, since when has any of my ideas been unsafe?" Sari said confidently.
Bumblebee began to have flashbacks of all the times Sari's ideas put them in danger and trouble. He shivered at the time when he and Prowl were covered in space barnacles and chasing Sari, he definitely did not want to go thru that again and he got the feeling Sari didn't want to either. Granted, that hadn't been her fault, but that was an excellent comparison to some of Sari's ideas.
Sari was creeping along the wall, trying to stay out of sight. When they reached the living room, Sari peeked around the corner to see if there were any 'bots in the room. Seeing none, she walked around until she found what she was looking for.
"See this crack? It's what I'll be hopping in right before you 'step' on me." Sari pointed to the hole in the concrete floor that- only minutes ago- she had almost fallen thru.
Bumblebee realized that this was Sari's payback to Ratchet for making her eat only fruit and vegetables for a month, payback designed to scare the coolant out of the 'bots around base, not just Ratchet.
"Ready?" Sari asked, looking up.
"As ready as I'll ever be for something like this." He said.
"Sari, for the last time, where is Bumblebee?!" Ratchet shouted at the red-haired human girl.
Sari had deliberately been caught trying to use her key for something she shouldn't have when Bumblebee should've been watching over her.
Unbeknownst to everyone, Bumblebee was listening from around the corner. Time for me to make my grand entrance. He thought, stepping away from the corner and casually walking into the room.
"Oh hey guys." He said, waving a little bit.
Sari was in position for the prank to happen. Bumblebee did as he was meant to, 'stepping on' Sari, which made it so that she couldn't be seen diving into the crack.
"Sari!" Optimus shouted in panic.
"Bumblebee, get your foot off the human!" Ratchet yelled at Bumblebee.
"Huh? I'm sorry, what was that?" Bumblebee said, making a show of turning on his audio-receptors.
Meanwhile, Sari had gotten into the hole without incident. She looked around the area that she was in and found a tunnel Sari-sized. Deciding what was the harm in exploring the crack, she jumped in.
Bulkhead and Prowl were commed about Bumblebee stepping on Sari. Prowl was shocked, and Bulkhead was upset about his friend getting squashed underfoot by his best friend since autobot boot camp.
When they got his foot off of the place where he had stepped on Sari, there was nothing to indicate that she'd been there, save for a single strand of red hair.
"Bumblebee, I've seen your pranks at worst, but this tops it all! If it even is one." Ratchet yelled, his voice louder than normal.
"Hey, um... I gotta go." Bumblebee backed away from the angry-beyond-words medic. As soon as he was near the corner, the yellow-and-black 'bot transformed and dashed off.
"Bumblebee get back here and explain!" Optimus shouted over the comm. link.
Bumblebee didn't say anything back, just sped off to Sumdac Tower.
Sari crawled thru the tunnel, coughing every now and then. She had been crawling thru the hole for quite a bit and was now tired.
"Ugh, when will this tunnel end?!" She shouted to no-one in particular, her voice echoing down the tunnel and back at her.
She'd begun to regret jumping down there, she was hungry and she desperately wanted to get away from the immense amount of dust. It was dark too, if she wasnt afraid of the dark, she did now.
Sari's key began the glow, a sure sign that there was something cybertronian near her. A way out might be close by! She thought.
The human girl crawled with newfound strength, wishing that an exit would appear soon.
She got her wish, only, she ended up falling thru an unable-to-be-seen hole in the tunnel. The hole had a crack in the roof. When Sari was able to stand again, she looked up in dismay.
I'm not tall enough I think. She thought unhappily.
Sari jumped and caught the ledge- much to her surprise-, pulling herself up with some difficulty.
Sari perked up at hearing a car engine rev. "Bumblebee?" Sari whispered, hoping it wasn't a... Decepticon...
Uh oh.
"Vhy is ze leetle autobot pet here?" Blizwing asked, his persona Icy in control. "Oh, no matter, she'll be a mere pancake zoon!" Random cackled.
A blast hit Blizwing in the side, "Oh no you don't Blizwing, not on my watch." A familiar grumpy voice said.
"Ratchet!" Sari shouted up at the red-and-white 'bot. Ratchet looked startled when he heard Sari's voice.
"Kid, that you?" He asked, surprised.
"The one and only." She proclaimed, puffing out her chest.
"Alright, let's chat back at base. Let's handle Blizwing first." Optimus said, equally shocked.
"-And that's what happened." Sari finished.
"I'm still not happy about that, you know." Bumblebee said.
"Oh hush, it was a harmless prank." Sari replied, walking off.
"If you're going to Sumdac Tower, I'll be escorting you." Bumblebee called after her.
Sari mumbled something too quiet for the yellow-and-black 'bots' audio-receptors to pick up.
"What was that?" Bumblebee asked, transforming into his alt. mode.
"I said 'fine'." Sari grumbled.
On the way back, Sari's mind came up with a new idea.
She asked Bumblebee if he wanted to do it with her, and if not, feel her wraith sooner or later.
Bumblebee agreed. The human could be funny at times, and other times downright scary.
And so the legend of the two pranksters began.
Pretty cheese-ed? I hope not, this is my first one-shot.
