While the Autobots wee discussing amongst themselves what to do with this newly detected object, Soundwave went to report to Megatron about what had been revealed. Megatron listened to his second in command as the bot revealed about the new Cybertronian object. Megatron, thinking about how such a thing could be advantageous to him smiled an evil and dangerous smirk. "Excellent Soundwave, we must get to that area before the Autobots!"
Soundwave nodded and Megatron grabbed Starscream and a couple of other bots to seek out this new object. All Megatron could think was that if he got to this first, it would make him more powerful and able to do away with his nemesis Optimus Prime.
Megatron reached the crash site and observed the crashed vessel. It was unusual as not even Megatron had seen such a vessel before, but he didn't let on. "This obviously carried some unusual type of bot, we must find him or her before the Autobots do. Spread out and search" Megatron demanded. They had very little time to find whatever it was before the Autobots would likely show up.
The troops spread out, and a few came close to where the strange beast bot had hidden itself. The beast didn't like these bots and didn't trust them. Bots like these had trapped it before and nearly done it in. But seeing that they weren't going away, the beast bot attacked the buffoons who had come to close. And after a sneaky surprise attack, Starscream and a couple others were heavily damaged from something that they couldn't see but obviously had gotten the better of them.
Megatron was less than pleased to see his men so beaten up from something or someone yet absolutely nothing to show for it. "You fail me again, Starscream" Megatron angrily said as they now had no choice but to flee the area, as the Autobots were reportedly on their way to check out the area. Megatron hoped that if his men were so beat up by this unknown assailant that Optimus and his pathetic Autobots would also suffer from the unknown Cybertronian object. And then and only then would Megatron be able to swoop in, take care of Optimus and his bots and possibly destroy this unseen object or forcibly use it for his own gain.
And just after the cons left, the Autobots arrived.
