"I did. Starting tomorrow, the amount of food being made for any meal will lessen. Meaning only the amount needed to feed the staff, the guards, Lady Angara, as well as Lady Mia." Said Tia.
"Lady Mia is not going to like that." Said Brina.
"Lady Angara said what she says goes. She is also going to do her best to get more cats to come work here." Said Tia.
"That would be great, then the work load for everyone will lighten a bit. Was there anything else we should know?" Brina asked.
"That's all we really spoke about." Said Tia.
Everyone was pleased; while everyone went to go to bed, Tia stayed to help the head cook prep the porridge for breakfast. When that was done; Tia and the head cook went to their homes, to go to bed.
When Tia got to just outside the door of her home; she heard her son having a fit. Tia opened the door, and seen Tobin trying to get his son to bed.
"Brion, why are you not in bed?" Tia asked with her hands on her hips.
"I wanted you to tuck me in, not father." Said Brion.
"Bed, now." Said Tia.
"But. . . ." said Brion.
"Come now, son. You know how your mother gets if she has to repeat herself." Said Tobin.
Brion was going to object again, till Tobin picked him up, and carried him into his bedroom. After twenty minutes, Tobin came back out. He didn't see Tia, so he went to their room. She was just putting her nightgown on, and pulling the covers down.
"Normally you try to get out of that palace as soon as you can." Said Tobin.
"Well, Lady Angara wanted to have a conversation without Lady Mia around. So, after my work was done, I went to Lady Angara's room, and we talked about changes she was going to make." Said Tia.
"Sounds like she is going to be good for the North." Said Tobin.
"That it does." Said Tia.
Tia then changed the subject, and asked about his sister. Tobin knew what she was doing, but played along.
"She and Tyrell are settled in, and doing well." Said Tobin.
Tobin soon was in his pajama's, and in bed. It didn't take long for those two to fall asleep.
The light from the morning sun peaking over the horizon, woke Angara. Tia came in right at that moment.
"Lady Angara, good-morning." Said Tia.
"Good-morning, Tia." Said Angara.
"Breakfast will be ready by the time we get you dressed." Said Tia.
"Tia, there was one other thing I wanted to say, but I didn't think of it till after you went home." Said Angara.
"You could've sent someone to get me." Said Tia.
"You were home for the night; besides it wasn't anything that couldn't wait till this morning." Said Angara.
"Alright then, why don't you tell me now." Said Tia.
"I was thinking that since it can get awfully hot during the summer months; that we don't need fires going. Then, what that means for the kitchen staff; is if it is too hot to have fires going, then a meal can be served cold." Said Angara.
"It does get very hot in the kitchens during the summer." Said Tia.
Angara said that if all the cooking could be done before it gets hot, then that would be fine. Tia was surprised, but continued to get Angara ready for the busy day a head of her. Once Angara was dressed, she went to the dining room, and sat down. Lady Mia walked in a moment later.
"Good-morning, Lady Angara. Did you happen to stay up all night?" Mia asked.
"No, why do you ask?" Angara asked.
"Just wondering; which of the rooms in the North wing did you choose?" Mia asked.
"I didn't choose one in the North wing. I chose one in the East wing. I liked the view from that wing better." Said Angara.
"As long as you are happy with the room." Said Mia.
