Tia soon sent the maids out with the food. Mia waited till everything was placed on the table. Once the maids were finished, Mia noticed that the amount of food wasn't the usual amount.
"Where are the rest of the dishes?" Mia asked.
"The Lady said that much food didn't need to be made." Said Elanie.
"I didn't say any such thing." Said Mia.
"Since I am the noble now, I made the decision." Said Angara.
"Right, I forgot." Said Mia.
Elanie then went back to the kitchens. Angara knew that her innocent act was just an act. When Elanie walked into the kitchen, Tia seen her.
"Everything alright?" Tia asked.
"Lady Mia wasn't happy about the amount of food that was made for the meal." Said Elanie.
"Did Lady Angara say anything?" Tia asked.
"She did; she said that since she was the Noble now, she made the decision. I guess she was talking about the amount of food." Said Elanie.
"There is nothing to worry about then. If Lady Angara spoke up, you have nothing to worry about." Said Tia.
When Angara was finished with her meal, she got up, and headed to her office. Angara opened the door, and seen a few cats standing around. The cats then bowed; Angara then shut the door, and went to sit behind her desk. Once she was ready, the first cat walked up to the desk.
"Morning Lady Angara. I am Seth, and I am the Treasurer of your kingdom. I make sure the coffers are correct. That the taxes collected are accounted for." Said Seth.
Each cat introduced themselves, and what their role was. Before long, the last cat in the room walked up to the desk; he bowed, and when he straitened, he had a very serious expression on his face.
"You don't look happy." Said Angara.
"First, I am Garrett. I am your vizier, I take care of paperwork, and many other kingdom matters, when you are not available. I also will be getting you familiar with everything that is worth your notice." Said Garrett.
"Shouldn't everything regarding this kingdom, be worth my notice?" Angara asked.
Angara then noticed that everyone that she comes across tends to get a shocked expression when she says something. Angara then turned to the others.
"I would like to meet with each of you one on one. That way we don't have to rush matters, to fit you all in. I ask that you speak to Garrett about picking a day to meet with me. I don't want to get overwhelmed on my first day." Said Angara.
They all said that they understood, bowed, and left the office. Garrett then got to work telling her about every report that she picked up, and explaining anything she asked about.
About two hours before lunch, there was a knock on the door, and Angara told them to come in. Tobin walked in, then shut the door, and then walked up to her desk.
"I was told you needed to see me." Said Tobin.
"I was wondering how many guardsmen you can spare?" Angara asked.
"There are a few that need a task; may I ask what you have in mind?" Tobin asked.
"I have this that I want taken to all the villages. I am hoping to get more staff in here, in order to lighten some of the work that the current staff have on their shoulders now." Said Angara.
Tobin looked over the top piece of parchment of the pile that Garrett handed him. Tobin said that he'd send the guards out with the information after lunch. Angara said that would be fine. Tobin bowed, and then went to take his leave. Angara worked a bit more, and then went to have lunch. When she reached the dining room; she sat down, and not a moment later, Lady Mia walked in.
"Good-afternoon." Said Mia.
"Afternoon." Said Angara.
