Angara then continued to walk down the path. Garrett soon found her, and rushed up to her.

"My lady, I've been looking for you. I heard what happened, and I am so sorry. Tobin was a good man, and a great Captain of the Guard." Said Garrett.

"Thank you. I was wondering if you could finish the days paperwork. I just want to think." Said Angara.

"Of course. In fact, that is another reason I was looking for you. I wanted to say that I would take care of everything today, and you can take over tomorrow." Said Garrett.

Angara thanked him, and then continued once again. Garrett watched her walk away.

One Year Later. . . .

Angara was sitting at the table in the dining hall, having breakfast. She soon heard someone clear their throat, and when she turned to see who it was. There stood Asen, and his brother Bren. Angara was shocked the day that Asen told her that he was going to make his brother the Second-in-Command, but seeing how he worked with his brother, pleased her. The only way to get things done in a timely manner was being able to trust those you worked with. Asen told her that the reason he chose his brother was because, he said that his brother, were of like mind on several matters; which helped to get the guards back into a normal routine after Tobin's death.

"My Lady." Said Asen.

Angara soon came back to herself, and looked at Asen.

"I was busy yesterday; that is why I couldn't meet with the two of you. So, what did you need to tell me?" Angara asked.

"My lady, we regret to inform you that we still haven't found any leads on Lady Mia, or the guard that tried to kill you." Said Asen.

"Don't, I didn't think that there still would be something after a year. So, starting today; you'll give up the search for Lady Mia, and that guard." Said Angara.

"But, my lady. They tried to kill you. They should be punished." Said Bren.

"That maybe so, but we are wasting effort that could be put somewhere else." Said Angara.

Bren was about to say something, but was stopped by his brother.

"We understand my lady. I will send word to the guards posted around the countryside to stop the search." Said Asen while still looking at his brother.

"Thank you, now if you excuse me." Said Angara.

Angara got out of the chair, and headed off to her office to get some work done. As she was walking past; Asen and his brother bowed, and then left after she did. While they were headed back to the barracks, Bren got his brothers attention.

"Why didn't you say that we should keep searching?" Bren asked.

"Because, if Lady Angara says to stop, we stop." Said Asen.

"I still don't like it." Said Bren.

"Same here brother, but Lady Angara must have her reasons." Said Asen.

When they got inside the barracks, Tyrell was just finishing with sweeping up the floor. When he looked up, and seen Asen and his brother walk through the door. He saluted them, and then went back to work.

"Tyrell, come here please." Said Asen.

Tyrell came over, and saluted again. He then asked if there was something they needed.

"No, I was wondering when your birthday was. I need to get things together for you to become full guardsmen." Said Asen.

"My birthday is next week." Said Tyrell.

"Good, you can go back to your duties." Said Asen.

"Yes, of course." Said Tyrell.

Tyrell turned, and then headed to get the broom he had rested against the wall.
