Tyrell put away the broom away, and headed home. When he got home, and opened the door. Tia was there helping his mother into the chair.

"Aunt Tia, is mother ok?" Tyrell asked.

"She was just having a bit of trouble moving around today. So, I helped her take care of some chores." Said Tia.

"Don't you have enough to do, taking care of Lady Angara?" Tyrell asked.

"Now that there is enough staff to allow for individuals to take time off. Someone else is taking care of Lady Angara. Besides, she gets angry if we do everything for her." Said Tia.

"Right, anyway. Now that I am home, I can take care of mother; if you want to go home." Said Tyrell.

"I should, I still have my own home to pick up." Said Tia.

Ella said that she'd be fine now that Tyrell was home. Tia then said to send word if they needed anything. Ella said that everything should be fine, and if there was anything; she'd send Tyrell. Soon Tia left, and Tyrell turned to his mother.

"You know mother. We don't have to rely on Aunt Tia now." Said Tyrell.

"Yes, we do. Tia is the head of the staff here. You are still not a full guard." Said Ella.

"I will be on my birthday." Said Tyrell.

"Tyrell, I am tired, and I don't wish to argue with you." Said Ella as she fussed with the blanket on her lap.

Tyrell then went to put his gear in his room. Ella was looking out the window, thinking about how she was going to tell her son about what the healer told her. Even though she was doing as the healer told her, her sickness had gotten worse. She thought about it all through the rest of the day, and she still didn't say anything when Tyrell helped her to bed. The next morning, Tyrell helped his mother till he had to go start his duties. Tia came around noon, to check on Ella.

"Tia, what brings you here? Don't you have work today?" Ella asked.

"I do, but this is lunch time for me. I just wanted to come and check on you, and find out how Tyrell took the news." Said Tia.

"I haven't told him yet." Said Ella.

"You have to tell him." Said Tia.

"I know, but ever since he became a guard trainee. He's been difficult." Said Ella.

"Don't worry; once he becomes a full guardsmen; he's attitude will change." Said Tia.

"How?" Ella asked.

Tia explained about what Tobin told her about Asen, and how tough he could be. Ella merely nodded her head, and continued to look out the window.

"I just wish his father was still around." Said Ella.

"I know, but when our ancestors call us to be with them. Then it's our time to go." Said Tia.

"Do you think that is what happened with Tobin?" Ella asked.

"Yes, but I didn't think that we'd lose him like that; I believe that he died with no regret." Said Tia.

"Why do you say that?" Ella asked.

"Because he died fulfilling his duty." Said Tia.

"What has duty to do with anything?" Ella asked.

"To Tobin; it was everything. Duty to his profession, and his family." Said Tia.

"I guess you're right, he was always one to do as he promised." Said Ella.

They talked for a while more, and when it got close for Tia to go back to work. She asked Ella if there was anything she needed till Tyrell got back. Once everything was taken care of, Tia went to go back to work.

As Tia was coming to the entrance to the kitchen, she seen Asen heading to the same door.

"Asen, strange to see you heading here at this time of day." Said Tia.

"Normally you'd be right, but I was summoned by Lady Angara. Apparently there is something she needs to talk to me about." Said Asen.

"Could anything be wrong?" Tia asked.

"Not sure. The steward that gave me the message, said that there was no hurry." Said Asen.
"I wonder what she could need to talk to you about." Said Tia.

"Well, I won't find out unless I go talk to her about it." Said Asen.

Asen then opened the door to the kitchen, and walked right on threw.
