When the morning sun was just starting to peak its light over the horizon; Tia was up, and arriving at the kitchens to meet up with the staff. When she walked into the kitchen, all of the maids stopped what they were doing.
"Morning everyone. No before I give you your chores for the day. There is something that Lady Angara wanted me to ask all of you. She has found a way to ease the tax issue, but she wants to know if there is anything else that can be done to get the villages on the right track." Said Tia.
"She's asking us?" Ariana asked.
"Yes, since most of you come from those same villages; you all would know more about what is going on there." Said Tia.
Tia could tell that everyone was shocked. She then said that she would like know their thoughts by the end of the day. Everyone nodded their heads, and then Tia told them what they needed to do. Meanwhile at the barracks, Asen was doing the same thing. He watched the night guard filed in, and everyone could see that Asen was waiting till everyone was there. Some woke others that were asleep still.
"Alright everyone, listen up. I have received word that Lady Angara wants any suggestions that could help get the villages on the right track. Some of you are from these villages, so if you have any ideas; I need to know them." Said Asen.
"She's already eased the tax issue." Said Lorn.
"Lady Angara thinks that there's got to be more that can be done." Said Asen.
At that, Asen then handed out the duty assignments. Once that was done, he went about getting his own work done for the day. Not to mention to figure the rest of the guard assignments while he was with Lady Angara in the forest.
Tia was just about to go out to the vegetable garden to get some cabbage, when Alana told Tia that everything was ready. Tia said ok, and went to wake Lady Angara.
When Tia got to Angara's room; she heard a cough, and a sneeze come from the other side of the door. Tia knocked, and then opened the door. She seen Angara wiping her nose on the sleeve of her pajama's. Tia then walked over to the bed, and put her hand on Angara's head. When Tia pulled her hand away; she sighed.
"You, my lady. Have a cold." Said Tia.
"I'll be fine." Said Angara.
"No, today you will be staying in bed." Said Tia.
"But there is so much that still needs to be done." Said Angara.
"I don't care, you are going to stay in bed." Said Tia.
"What about all the paper work that I still have to do." Said Angara puzzled.
"That is what Garrett is for. He'll take care of the work till you are over this cold, and not another word about it." Said Tia.
Angara then fell back against her pillows, crossed her arms, and made a pouting face. Tia left to go back to the kitchen. On her way she ran into Garrett.
"Garrett, I wanted to let you know that Lady Angara has a cold, so you will have to take care of the reports." Said Tia.
"Oh, I hope she feels better, and I understand." Said Garrett.
When Tia got to the kitchens, she told one of the young maids to make up a tray. While the maid was doing that, Tia was picking up what she was doing before she went to wake up Angara. Before too long, the maid came over with the tray, and gave it to Tia. Tia then left the kitchen heading back to Angara's room. When she got there, she knocked, and opened the door. She seen Angara standing next to the sliding doors, and let out a sigh.
"My Lady, you should be in bed." Said Tia.
"I was board." Said Angara.
"Please get back in bed." Said Tia.
"But." Said Angara.
"Now." Said Tia.
Angara was going to say something, but the look that she was getting from Tia, didn't leave room for arguing. With that she walked back over to her bed, and climbed back in it. Once she was settled, Tia sat the tray in front of her. Tia then picked up a couple of things, and said that she would be back in a moment to get the tray.
