After Angara was finished with her breakfast, she got up, and headed to her office. When she walked into the room, Garrett looked up.
"Good morning, my lady." Said Garrett.
"Good morning, Garrett. Before we get started with the day's paperwork, I would like to meet with one of the advisors, the one that deals with crops." Said Angara.
"You mean the Minister of Agriculture." Said Garrett.
"Yes, I need to speak with him as soon as possible." Said Angara.
"I'll go get him, now." Said Garrett.
Garrett left, and headed to get the minister. Angara was looking over a report, and had a bad feeling about the meeting that she was going to have. Garrett returned with the minister half hour later. Garrett opened the door, and let the Minister of Agriculture in. The man stopped in front of the desk, and bowed.
"You wanted to see me, my lady?" Zenon asked.
"Yes, I was told about something that concerned me." Said Angara.
"And that is, my lady?" asked.
"Do you know about the issue plaguing the farms in the North Kingdom.?" Angara asked.
"Yes, my lady. I have been trying to find a solution." Said Zenon.
"How long have you known about this problem?" Angara asked.
Garrett could tell that Zenon was worried about answering that question. When he looked to Lady Angara, and could tell that she was getting annoyed by the silence. Garrett then cleared his throat.
"You might want to answer the lady." Said Garrett.
"Five years, when Lady Mia was the Noble; the year in a half since you've been the Noble." Said Zenon.
"Didn't you think that you should've told me about this problem; instead, one of my staff told me about it." Said Angara.
"My apologizes; it's just Lady Mia never wanted to be bothered with this stuff." Saif Zenon.
"Do I look Lady Mia?" Angara asked.
"No, my lady." Said Zenon.
"Then don't assume, I am going to do the same as her." Said Angara.
Zenon apologized again, and said that he would get to work figuring out how to fix this. Zenon bowed, and went to leave, but Angara stopped him. He turned back to face her.
"Starting today start thinking up solutions. Then I want to know what you came up with when I get back from my trek in the forest with Guard Captain Asen." Said Angara.
"Yes, my lady." Said Zenon.
"Which means you have just over two months to come up with ideas." Said Garrett.
Zenon then bowed, and left the office. Garrett watched as Zenon left the office, he then looked back to Angara. Angara had gone back to her work.
"My lady, I have a question." Said Garrett.
"What is it, Garrett?" Angara asked.
"The tone you took when you asked Zenon; if you looked like Lady Mia. It sounded so cold." Said Garrett.
"It did sound that way didn't it; well, I don't want to be compared to someone else. I am me, and not someone else. I don't want someone to compare Lady Mia's actions with me. As if I am to be the same as her. I have changed some things for the better, and there are those who still think that I will be like Lady Mia." Said Angara.
"I see what you are saying my lady. I would not like someone comparing me to my predecessor." Said Garrett.
"Good, maybe you could pass that along while I am gone." Said Angara.
"I will be sure to do that." Said Garrett.
