Chapter 13

"I'm sorry babe, I wish I could make it better." Dimitris' hand rubs my back as I heave over the toilet its ungodly early and I want to be asleep.

"It's okay, I'm just glad you're here." I gag against the bile.

When I finally sag in resignation, he hands me a bottle of water, dejavu it feels like this is how we start every morning. Only this morning I don't wander back to bed, I get dressed instead, pulling a loose top over my head and struggling to button my pants. "I'm going to have to get maternity pants soon." I grumble "It took way longer to pop with Lennon.."

Dimitri wraps his arms around me from behind "That's normal for a second pregnancy. I for one think your little bump is beautiful." he kisses behind my ear. "Are you ready?"

"Yeah, is Lennon already up?"

He laughs a bit "She's been in the kitchen with momma for an hour."

"Is your mother okay with that? I mean Lennon has been attached to her hip."

"Mamma is loving it, I promise."

We head downstairs to find Lennon sitting on the counter. Her hair is twisted up in beautiful braids on top of her head. She's intently watching as Olena takes bread out of the oven. She see's Dimitri and I coming off the stairs. "Mommy, Daddy grandma and I made black bread!"

"Good sweetie, are you ready to go?"

Olena wraps one of the loafs up, handing it to Dimitri, and we head out to the car. "Where are we goin mommy?"

God she's getting so big " Daddy wants to show us somewhere special. We have a surprise for you."

We drive along the winding roads, the sun shining in the distance. Until we come to a sign it's in german so I can't read it but Dimitri slows pulling into a parking lot. "We're here." I grab the bread and blanket as he gets Lennon and we walk down the hill onto the beach. My breath catches as the sun shines against the glass. "Welcome to the glass bay." Dimitri says coming back behind me.

"Its absolutely gorgeous."

Lennon squeals a Lissa level sound "Mommy looks, is all pretty treasure!" she jumps down toward the beach picking up a large blue piece of smoothed glass.

"She's loving this." I say spreading the blanket.

"I knew she would, I loved coming here as a child. It's like a little kids' wonderland. Are you ready to tell her?"

"I think it's time, we're out of the first trimester. We need to tell her soon and this is as good a time as any."

"So you think she'll be excited?"

"Honestly I don't know, I hope so." I snuggle into him watching Lennon jump up and down digging through the beach.

Dimitri takes out the bread calling for Lennon. We sit in silence under the sun eating bread and listening to the water coming in and out against the glass. Dimitri explained last night, an old porcial factory used to dump extra broken glass and porcial into the ocean, over the last few decades they were polished and rounded eventually making their way to shore. It really does make a beautiful sight. There are colors of every shade that shine against the sun. The waves crash in and out making a wonderful melody. The sound is calming when combined with the smell of salty air. The smell actually calms the churning stomach. The black bread is sweet and still warm. It's so is definitely going to need to make me some once we get home. I finish the bread and take Dimitris' hand turning to our daughter. "Lennon, we have something to tell you."

"What's wrong mommy, is everything okay?"

Dimtri steps in " It's a happy thing, princess."

She comes closer sitting in her daddy's lap "Lennon, you're going to be a big sister." I watch her brain work as it clicks in her head. She is such a smart little girl.

Her eyebrows furrow " Mommy you have a baby in there?" she knocks on my stomach, Dimtri and I both laugh "I do, are you excited?"

She smiles with excitement radiating from her " When will the baby be here?"

"Not for a couple more months."

She spends the next hours, I'm not exaggerating talking about getting to have a baby brother or sister and asking us a question.

The first thing she does when we pull back into the house is bound through the door and announce to everyone she's going to be a big sister. This earns her a few giggles and laughs. And a grumble from Paul about how it's not all its cracked up to be.

"I'm going to get her changed into her Pjs and bathed."

"I love you both." Dimitri kisses my head.

The day's activities are catching up with her and she's pretty much sleep walking by the time I tuck her in the kids room.

I'm about to go back to the den when I hear voices from Dimitri and my bedroom. "You know you want me. You want to take me right here and now."

What the hell Tasha? I push open the door and find Tasha pressing her lips to a dazed Dimitri.
