Once SG 1 had returned to Cheyenne Mountain they reported to General Hammond.

"Daniel and Carter's side trip produced some interesting things, General."

"Like what, Colonel?"

"Like a nineteen year old that is running a business called the Altimah Project and can translate Latin better then a scholar and stands as though he's been in the military for years. When we came in, he positioned himself to protect the civilian. It was an automatic response for him. I find that very interesting."

"That nineteen year old is one of three nineteen year olds and a twenty year old, who started the company less then a year ago." Major Carter said. "I spoke to his girlfriend, who's their Chief Financial Officer and she knows what she's doing. But it was their programmer who impressed me the most. He's quite obviously a genius and knows what he's talking about. There's several of their programs that I'd like to purchase for my department. I negotiated a tentative price based on your approval, sir."

"I'll have a look at it. And you, Dr Jackson?"

"I'd like to have both Dr. Giles and his assistant brought on board as consultants, sir. We wouldn't have to bring them fully in. Dr. Giles does consulting long distance for the British Museum, they could do that for us as well."

"His assistant?"

"Is the same Alexander Harris that runs the Altimah Project, sir." Colonel O'Neill said. "And refers to Latin as practically native for him."

"I thought Latin was a dead language?"

"It is, in that it is no longer spoken as the native language of any country, but it is still used. In medicine and science mostly, but there are also religions that still use it. It's possible Alexander grew up in such a church and learned it there." Daniel replied.

"Well, I'll institute a standard background check. Check for affiliations or arrests. Anything else of interest?"

"Alexander and his group were the ones responsible for the ray gun story, they were testing a prototype stun weapon. They're also the ones who ran into Finn and backed him down." Colonel O'Neill told him.

"This prototype, is it of any concern?"

"I don't think so, but when they're done with it, I'd like to see it. It's possible we could find a use for it."

"Then I'll check to see what their progress on it is. If there's nothing else, dismissed, for now."

Back in Sunnydale, Alexander asked Buffy about Riley.

"Buffy, have you heard anything from this Riley guy since the incident with the gentleman?" Alexander asked.

"No and I'm worried. He hasn't been in class and he hasn't called me. Johnathan said he was breaking the law trying to act the way he was."

"I'm more concerned with what he was actually doing here." Alexander said. "He thought he had some sort of authority to act the way he was acting. What if he was here because of the demons or the Hellmouth? The fact is, whatever he was involved in, is Illegal because of his involvement, which means it can't be a good thing they're doing."

"I agree." Giles said. "We need to investigate."

"Which means whatever he was involved in, may have been shut down." Corda said. "But we still need to make sure that it's not something that will cause problems for us or Sunnydale."

"We can start with an online search. Jenny? Ready to work your Magic? Literally and figuratively?" Alexander asked.

"I'll see what I can find. Buffy, you and I can meet after we're done here and you can tell me what you know about him."

"Okay. Why can't I find a good boyfriend?"

"That's not a question any of us can answer." Alexander responded. "I can use my scanner and run a check of his residence, see if anything unusual shows up."

"B and I can go talk to Willy. He may not have many demons to serve in his bar anymore, but he's still running it." Faith offered.

"All are good ideas. Report back as soon as you have any information." Giles instructed them. Which wasn't long, actually.

"I found something very interesting at the frat house Finn has been living at." Alexander reported later that night. "My scan show a huge complex built under it. No signs of Alteran tech, so nothing else our people left behind. Also, the frat house is empty, everyone has moved out."

"B and I found out something interesting from Willy. Most of the demons still in town are the non violent variety, right? Willy says, they're reporting people in fatigues have been capturing some of them. Not killing, capturing and they haven't been seen since."

"I found something interesting online about Riley Finn." Jenny reported. "A death certificate, dated yesterday, has been filed on him. He apparently had a seizure while in military custody for crimes unspecified."

"Riley's dead?!" Buffy exclaimed.

"Yes, I'm afraid so."

"I wasn't reading any life signs in the complex under his frat house." Alexander said. "I suggest we investigate it. We may find answers to what he was doing in that complex."

"I agree, but do be careful. Your scanner isn't familiar with everything about Earth. And there could be traps down there." Giles said.

"Just a small group. Buffy to guard up top, she's a student at the college and her boyfriend was living there, she's less likely to be questioned. Faith and I as security and Jonno to get into anything computer related." Alexander decided.

"Colonel, I have some bad news." General Hammond informed SG 1. "Captain Riley Finn and Lt. Graham Miller are both dead. Before they could be questioned, both suffered a seizure in their cells and died."
