In the months following Alexander's vow, the group succeeded in reverse engineering and patenting a larger shield generator. One that could shield a ship with the right amount of power. They called it to the attention of their military contacts.

Not long after, Johnathan called the group's attention to something.

"Alexander, the cloaked satellite is picking up a ship launching in Nevada. It doesn't resemble the alien ships."

"No, it doesn't, does it?" Alexander said, taking a look at the information on the screen. "It kinda resembles a closed air craft carrier. Looks like Earth has succeeded in building their own. They're probably going on a shakedown cruise. Anyone up for a little trip? We could tag along, cloaked of course, just in case they run into any issues."

"Good idea." Corda said. "Some of what we've patented has probably gone into building that ship. I'd like to see how well they've adapted it."

"Me too. Not to mention, it would be just plain fun." Johnathan was definitely up for it.

"Yep." Was all Oz had to say.

"I'm up for it." Buffy was practically bouncing on her toes at the idea.

"Indeed, I too would like to accompany you." Giles said, as enthusiastically as he ever did.

"You're not leaving me out." Was Jenny's thoughts on the proposed flight.

It didn't take long for the Altimah to catch up to the Earth ship. They scanned the ship to make sure everything was functioning well and found a surprise.

"There isn't even a dozen people on board." Johnathan reported.

"That doesn't make any sense." Alexander said. "A ship that size should have a crew of at least a hundred people. I'm going to see if I can tap into internal communications, maybe pick up some conversations and try to figure out what's going on. I'm picking up a conversation "

"Al, why are you doing this?"

"They're paying me."

"We're supposed to be friends."

"They're paying me alot."

"Hijackers." Oz said in a grim voice.

"Certainly seems so." Giles agreed.

"I'm picking up another ship, closing fast, coming up behind." Johnathan announced.

"Scanning it now." Alexander replied. "One human, one possible j'fah. It looks like they're trying to dock. That little ship has Earth technology attached to it. Probably captured from the enemy and now trying to use it to take back the ship. Hopefully, they're not here to help the hijackers."

"Alexander! The ship is about to launch into hyperspace!" Johnathan called out.

Alexander slammed into the wake of the larger ship and allowed it to pull the Altimah along. "Hold on!" He yelled. "This is going to be rough. We're riding their wake like a wave!"

"Hull stress is at maximum!" Johnathan called out.

And then they came out of it and Alexander glided the Altimah up and over the Earth ship.

"Now I understand why you fly using your mind." Buffy said. "Not even Slayer reflexes are that fast."

"Hull stress returning to normal." Johnathan called out. "No damage. Rough as it was, the inertial dampeners kept us from becoming jelly."

"Reading another ship." Oz said.

"It's Reelokian according to the ship's database."Johnathan reported.

"We weren't in hyperspace long enough to get to their galaxy." Alexander protested. "Tapping into communications. Someone just beamed on board the Earth ship. Picking up a conversation."

"Thor, buddy, great timing."

"O'Neill, I owe you all a debt of gratitude for rescuing me from my Gou'ald captors."

"Hey, I thought you were going for a new body."

"I did."

"It's nice."

"O'Neill? As in Colonel O'Neill?" Giles questioned.

"And Thor? As in god of thunder?" Johnathan asked.

"So how did you find us?" Colonel O'Neill's voice was heard again.

"The Asgard monitor all hyperspace activity around Earth. It helps to ensure the Gou'ald are abiding by the treaty and leaving you alone."

"Well, they haven't bugged us for awhile, so it seems to be working." Came Colonel O'Neill's voice. "So, buddy. You think you can help us get back to Earth."

"It is the Asgard who must once again ask you for help. The Replicators have over run our colony planet of Hala, as they very nearly did our Homeworld Othalla. We attempted to contain them by collapsing Hala's star into a black hole. Unfortunately, the time dilation this produced seems to have allowed them time to evolve to a human form."

"Replicators." Alexander said, grimly. "How?"

"Not all of the scientists agreed with that project being shutdown." Corda said, equally as grimly. "If they decided to continue it, then left the Replicators dormant, someone could've then stumbled on them and set them loose."

"How do we stop them?" Buffy asked.

"A keron disruptor wave." Alexander said. "I have no idea how to make one though."

"Theoretically, I have an idea how." Corda said. "I knew one of the scientists, remember? She explained the theory to me once."

"We're going to broadcast the information to them. It's the only way we know of to stop Replicators permanently. Attention Earth ship. I am Captain Alexander, we have monitored your situation and have a theoretical solution to your problem. A keron disruptor wave will break the bonds between nanite cells. Good luck." Before they could respond, he cut communication and nodded at Corda, who transmitted the information.

A few minutes later, the Reelokian vessel, with the Earth ship in tow, jumped into hyperspace. The Altimah followed it. They watched as the Reelokian vessel transmitted a wave of energy at a black hole.

"I'm reading a ship attempting to break free of the gravity well." Johnathan said. "The Replicators must have managed to build themselves one. The wave is disrupting it. It's coming apart. The black hole is catching the debris. It looks like it worked."

"Thank the gods." Jenny said. "I remember when you told us about those things, back when we were dealing with Ted the robot. You basically said they had problems with humans."

"Hopefully these were the only ones out there." Alexander said.

"A/N Oh my. They stopped the Replicators, but the Replicators pretty much wiped out the Gou'ald later. Was this an oops? We'll see.
