"Colonel, we're being hailed." Major Carter reported.
"Let's hear it." The Colonel ordered.
"Attention Earth ship, I am Captain Alexander, we have monitored your situation and have a theoretical solution to your problem. A keron disruptor wave will break the bonds between nanite cells. Good luck."
"Curious." Thor said. "I am not reading any vessel in the vicinity. Perhaps a very small cloaked vessel."
"Our benefactor." Colonel O'Neill said.
"Benefactor?" Thor asked, curious.
"The little Alteran ship that hauled that asteroid off. There's been a couple of other instances where we've gotten anonymous help."
"Thor, when we were considering ways to save Othalla, you mentioned that the Replicators nanite cells were held by kerons." Major Carter said.
"Yes and we have theorized about a keron disruptor wave, but have been unable to produce one. The information that has been transmitted is very interesting. I may be able to configure my ship to broadcast this wave. I will return to Hala and attempt to do so."
"We're coming with you, little buddy." Colonel O'Neill said. "Just in case it doesn't work, we may be able to come up with something ourselves."
"Agreed. I will take you in tow."
"Well, that looks like it worked." Jonas said, after they watched Thor's ship send a pulse at the weird Replicator ship. "Whoever these people are, they haven't steered you wrong yet."
"No, they haven't." Colonel O'Neill agreed. He was turning an idea over in his head. Something about that voice and name was tickling his gut, he'd figure it out eventually.
Once the Altimah was safely back in the hanger, the exhausted group returned to Giles condo.
"The Reelokian are calling themselves the Asgard now." Alexander said thoughtfully. "That suggests they had contact with Earth, but I honestly don't see them telling people they're gods or forcing worship. That's just not the kind of people they were. At least from what I know. But they may have allowed people to think they were gods. Maybe they tried to help Earth after these Gah-uhl enslaved them. A million years ago they were less technologically advanced then we were. But still significantly more then Earth is at present. Let's think about the timeline here. 10,000 years ago, our people returned to Earth, most Ascended. The Pyramid of Giza was built, what 5000 years ago? How long were the Gah-uhl here?"
"Not long, the Chronicles state that some sort of rebellion happened within one hundred years of their arrival. They apparently decided we weren't worth the effort and left. Perhaps transporting many humans off world during that time." Giles answered.
"They likely came by ship and moved the astria porta. If I remember correctly, our ancestors had it positioned closer to the southern pole."
"South America?" Jenny asked.
"Possibly, it's all history for us you understand. And no one studied 50 million years worth of history. It's why we developed repositories. Sort of like a library of digitized information. Millions of years worth of accumulated knowledge." Alexander said. "So sometime after the Gah-uhl leave, the Reelokian come to Earth for some reason. We did lose contact with them after leaving this galaxy, they may have periodically checked to see if we'd returned or they remained in contact with some of our other allies. The Nox for instance, they were the ones who taught us how to work the energy of a world, what you call Magic. As technologically advanced as us and totally in tune with nature and complete pacifists. Or the Furlings and no they're not furry. Both could still be out there. At some point, it may benefit us to find out for sure."
"Do you have any idea where one of these repositories might be?" Giles asked. "That kind of knowledge would be very useful."
"Especially since I picked up on something else when scanning Earth's ship." Johnathan said. "They're using a form of Naquada that the Altimah's sensors didn't recognize. It's highly unstable. The power production is amazing, but the potential problems make it a very dangerous form of Naquada to work with. Maybe too dangerous."
"I don't know where we could find a repository." Alexander said. "We had dozens of them in this galaxy, but I don't ever remember learning any of the locations."
"Me either. But we do know where the location of something else is that might have information that could help." Corda said. "Atlantis. Maybe we could go to Atlantis."
"The Altimah would never make it. But the Potentia could be connected to an astria porta. But that means two possibilities. One, we go off world and use the astria porta on another planet or we reveal ourselves to the military people currently using Earth's astria porta." Alexander said.
"We don't have to decide anything right now." Giles said. "We're all too tired right now to think about anything, so why don't we put a pin in this discussion for now and return to it later."
"I agree." Jenny said. "But I've got to say, my first off world trip may not have been exactly what I anticipated, but it sure was exciting."
"I don't think any of us would disagree with that statement." Buffy agreed, as did the rest as the meeting broke up and everyone headed home.
