The next morning, Carly, Sam, Spencer and Mrs. Benson got on the train. "I still can't believe you wouldn't let me take my butter sock." Sam said. "I already told you, we're not gonna hit Freddie. In fact, bullying him is part of the reason we got here in the first place. We're going to apologize to him and ask him to come home." Carly said. "What are you, my mother?" Sam asked rudely. "Well sometimes I feel like I am your mother with the amount of times I need to tell you to behave yourself or use your words instead of hitting people." Carly snapped. "Carls, even if we find him and apologize, it won't make a difference. He said he's not coming back home or to iCarly. The only option we have is to get a new tech geek." Sam said. "Yeah, but Sam, it wouldn't be the same." Carly said. "How so?" Sam asked. Carly took a breath. "Well, because Freddie was the only guy friend I had." Carly said. "What about Gibby?" Spencer asked. "Gibby doesn't count. I adore him but he's just too weird. Freddie was... different." Carly said. "So you have feelings for him after all?" Sam asked. "No. I mean... I don't know. All I know is that I care about him. Whether or not I have feelings for him, he was my friend. I didn't mean what I said about him, and I hate that I'm partially responsible for driving him away. He did a lot for the show. And beyond that he did a lot for me. He was also nice to talk to. Anytime I needed to talk to someone, whether it was to vent out my frustrations or when I had a bad day or just wanted to talk, he was there. And we had a lot in common. As much as I love you, Sam, we have next to nothing in common. Freddie and I had a lot more in common. He's a good dude, and I should've treated him better. I should've never said what I said about him, and I wish I didn't hurt him. You may not want to get him back, but I do. I really miss him." Carly said. Sam nodded. What Carly said made sense. "Excuse me, guys, I hate to ruin this moment for you, but maybe we should all try to get some sleep. It'll be a while before we get to Toronto." Spencer told them. "Alright, I'll set an alarm to wake us up fifteen minutes before we get there. That way we're ready to go." Carly said, setting an alarm on her phone.
