Chapter 1:
Of Shocking News, None Like This One
Astral after being able to completely regain control of his powers, what he did now was to visit again and again his partner, the one who had helped him to recover his memory, the one with whom he had to face at the end of his adventure. Now that he remembered him, not long ago he had broken up with Kotori, the reason, only he knew. Since he discovered that for himself, and in what way he had discovered it.
The truth is that he was very glad to hear him say those words that saved him from certain darkness.
And with that, he had the courage to propose, time passed, Yuma had grown a year older, he didn't change much in his looks or in his height, but in his attitude, now he took things calmly, he was no longer the impulsive boy he knew and supported, now he was on his way to becoming a man, and a handsome one, and what to say about him, he had changed too.
He had grow even older than Yuma, his appearance was now that of a young adult, now he no longer hesitated and knew what was important and what was not, he had the joy of bringing down even the bravest soldier. After all, he was one of the rulers of the Astral World.
But now it was better to think of Yuma, his beloved Yuma. He had gone so far with him, now by now they knew each other body and soul, though that was behind the backs of his parents and friends. The entire Astral World knew of their relationship, but the human World was unaware of it. And it was just as well, he didn't trust others enough, more than his beloved Yuma, that after what happened with Vector in the past.
He didn't like to think about that crazy psychopath, but he had to endure it for his beloved Yuma.
Astral smiled, already in a few minutes he would arrive with him, he would be by his side, and no one would take that away from him, the Astral World was happy about it and soon they were waiting for Yuma to become the Queen of that place, Yuma would give them the energy that they required so much, besides he would teach them what they did not know about the Human World. He would be a great teacher and ruler for them, plus it must be remembered that he had already saved the Astral World more than twice. He was the perfect candidate, well, even if Yuma was not aware of what the inhabitants of the Astral World thought about their savior.
Astral left the portal stealthily taking his human form, he had arrived on time, the sun was barely rising in the distance. He was in the attic where Yuma used to sleep, but now when he looked carefully at the place, he realized that Yuma was nowhere to be seen.
It seemed strange to him, as Yuma was never absent to receive him, but now it was different, there was no trace of her boyfriend in the attic. His face formed a small grimace of displeasure, he did not like being alone in the Human World.
He walked around examining the attic a little at a time, however, a small whimper caught his attention, it came from Yuma's room.
With stealth went down from the attic quickly reaching the culprit of that sound, was covered with a large blanket making a small lump in the bed, and motivated to know what was happening.
He approached quickly, removing the blanket with a single movement, finding something that made his eyes soften, but at the same time worried him. Yuma was hugging himself, he was trembling and had beads of sweat on his face. He looked pale and tired, apparently he had not slept enough, perhaps he had fallen ill.
Astral couldn't help but feel slightly relieved to find him.
So he smiled tenderly and then took Yuma in his arms, however, as he did so a small electric current ran through his body preventing him from touching Yuma.
—What...? —
It was certainly something that had never happened before, his smile faded and now all he felt was concern.
He approached Yuma again to do what he had set out to do, however as he touched him he felt some of his energy faintly emerging from Yuma's body, alerting him almost immediately. Something was not right.
Astral called calmly to his beloved, but he barely responded, he had to do something and fast, so watching the other with determination, he took him in his arms, feeling once again a sharp pain when doing so, but this time he did not let go, and knowing that Yuma should receive specialized care, he thought where to take him, although the disadvantage of not knowing most of the Human World made him rethink his initial plans, so he did the only thing he could think of at the time. Opening a portal to the Astral World, taking a small blanket to cover Yuma a bit, he entered the portal with Yuma in his arms.
Yuma, on the other hand, felt the worst, since that night he had not slept at all, he felt nauseous, his head hurt horribly, and his body ached, it seemed that he was sick, however, previous times he had not felt the same pain, he barely felt a dizziness or something like that, but it did not go beyond that. He was worried, in fact, he had already felt that discomfort weeks before, but it was tolerable, and therefore he did not say anything to anyone. However, now it seemed that he was going to die. He heard how someone spoke next to him, but he could not distinguish who it was, then he felt how someone lifted him in his arms, he opened his eyes a little, but his vision was blurred, he cursed internally his weakness, but now there was little he could do. He only hoped he could get better soon, he didn't want to worry Astral.
The journey had seemed eternal, but after several minutes Astral arrived in the realm of the Astral World.
He walked in search of the only one who could help him at this moment, the Royal Healer Ana. All the inhabitants were watching his walk and it was no wonder, he was still in his human form and Yuma was still unconscious in his arms.
He walked even faster, feeling desperation at the surface of his skin. He prayed that it was not something serious or that his beloved Yuma was not dying.
As he arrived the great doors of the palace opened to him at the same time. The guards although they did not fully recognize him, could feel his energy and he was undoubtedly one of their bravest rulers, Astral.
And granting the pass, Astral went straight to his room, and on the big fluffy bed he left Yuma for a moment, he had to keep him somewhere good and he knew beforehand that the "Infirmary" as the humans called it, was not a good place. And while there in the Astral World they receive all the inhabitants, Astral sincerely did not want any disease from his World to affect Yuma's delicate state even more, besides he did not know how he would react to them. So, tucking Yuma in, he continued his search for Ana, who fortunately was just coming out of her rest.
—Your Majesty. —Ana mentioned when she saw the main King agitated and pale. —Could you tell me are you all right?
—I, Ana, need your help. Yuma has fallen ill and I don't know what's wrong with him. —When Ana heard the name of his Majesty's partner, she did not hesitate to go to help him. On rare occasions he brought him to the Astral World, but the way he used to tell him what was wrong, worried her even more.
—I'll be right over to attended him, I just have to get a few things...
—I understand, Yuma is in my quarters, I don't want anyone else to look at him that way, I will help you to make it easier for you to examine him. —Astral finished, leaving the Heale behind to do the aforementioned.
Ana was still worried, she quickly looked for what she thought she could occupy and went to Astral's quarters. It was somewhat ironic, since the Astral beings did not sleep, they did not need it, or at least not until they raised, when an Astral being was born it had to receive the energy of both parents until it was 15 years old, until then the Astral being could support itself. And the parents therefore ended up exhausted and that was when they needed to rest for a couple of hours to recover the energy they had given to their son or daughter.
Ana knocked gently on the door and it immediately opened for her. She entered quickly and placed what she had with her on the desk at the side of the bed. She left the things she would need in case of an emergency ready, but when she saw her patient, she limited herself to touching only certain areas. Apparently he had a slight temperature, he was in a cold sweat, so it was easy to assume that fact. She moved the sheets covering Yuma a little aside and set out to examine him better. As she did so, she felt a small electric current produced by the energy emanating from him. More precisely in the belly area.
At that moment the concern dissipated in her and was replaced by curiosity. She examined Yuma even more thoroughly using her own energy to determine certain things, and once she finished her work, she took some liquid from a bottle she had brought with her. And gave it to Yuma, this looked like a purple paint, but apparently it had worked to calm Yuma down a bit; Ana smiled as she determined the cause of her patient's condition and turned to Astral, she wanted to see his reaction as she told him what was going on with his partner.
—What about Yuma? Is he all right? —Astral asked, returning to his true form. As he approached at a safe distance from Yuma. Apparently that trip had exhausted him to a great extent, although he had done it before, this was the exception. Besides, he was still worried about him. He didn't want anything bad to happen to him.
—Try to calm down Majesty. Yuma-sama will be fine, with proper care and enough energy he will be as good as new in a couple of weeks. For now all he has to do is rest and nothing more than that. He should not receive strong emotions, although I guess this will be the only exception. —Explained the Healer looking with affection to both young people.
—But what caused him to fall like this? Is he sick? Is it serious? —Astral once again questioned Ana, who only laughed at his concern.
—No, nothing like that, Didn't you feel strange when you touched Yuma-sama? —This time it was Ana's turn to question Astral, who only answered.
—...Now that you mention it, I felt more tired than usual, and when I touched him I felt a little electric shock. But, What has that got to do with his condition? Is it bad?
—Not at all...it's something normal, it's for self-defense. —Said Ana, seeing how Astral was confused by her words.
—Self-defense...?
—Yes, it is very normal when someone else, who is not the father of the creature inside, touches him. —Said Ana, amused by the surprised reaction she saw in the King at that moment.
—What...?
—I mean that your energy impregnated in Yuma-sama is growing little by little, I bet that when she turns 9 months old she will be ready to come out. On the other hand, with his human form you won't be able to touch him like with his true form Majesty. —Said Ana seeing how little by little Astral opened his eyes in a stupefied and surprised gesture. —The baby will not let anyone but you touch him. Or at least not until Yuma-sama gives birth.
—Is this a joke?... Yuma is a boy, a man. How come...? —Astral couldn't believe his ears, although the idea wasn't bad at all, on the contrary, it seemed to please him.
—It is the union of an Astral being and a Human, it is clear that many things can happen. Besides, it is the purest union I have ever seen. The energy that Yuma-sama emanates is the strongest I have ever felt. I could hardly touch him without feeling a small electric shock. The baby is trying to protect him until you arrive... —Ana calmly explained to the first-time parent.
—So... I can touch him without feeling the pain again? —Astral questioned, approaching the unconscious Yuma. Who had already stopped breathing with difficulty.
—Yes, however, You will have to give the baby enough energy and Yuma-sama will give him his energy little by little. After all he is the one carrying it. —Of all the news he could have been given, this was impressive, no, it was fascinating. He was still having a hard time wrapping his head around the idea of being a father, but it was nothing he couldn't digest later, now he feared Yuma's reaction to it.
—How do I give my energy to both of them? —Astral asked curiously to the Healer, who had a smile full of affection and understanding.
—Just a simple touch will be enough...although I recommend you to lie down next to him, you will end up exhausted after giving him his energy. —Instructed Ana to the King who did as mentioned.
Astral intertwined his hand with Yuma's, realizing that instead of feeling pain, he now felt a strange sense of peace and tranquility. The words Ana had said were true. He could touch Yuma without feeling the pain of touching him in his human form. Apparently his baby did not recognize him in his other form other than as he truly was, an Astral being.
His body then, began to emit a bluish glow and he could see how this energy passed from him to Yuma, and what to say about his partner, his body had also begun to emit a reddish energy and it also passed to him and his baby.
Both energies were in tune, and Astral could not feel happier than now. He could barely make out another energy, a product of his own, but it was there, faint, almost imperceptible. That was the energy of his baby, his firstborn.
If this was a dream, he never wanted to wake up.
Slowly he closed his eyes, the peace that flooded him helped him fall asleep. He had never slept before, but he had the impression that from now on that was what he was going to enjoy the most.
Ana continued to look at both parents with maternal affection, and after Astral slept and Yuma cuddled next to Astral thanks to the energy gave, she stealthily left the room, giving the couple privacy.
Truth be told, Astral had taken it more than well, other Astral beings had had more violent reactions. After all, Astral had been born differently than everyone else.
He had no parents, he had been created from the decision of the Astral World. So she was betting that he was going to be the one who had the most doubts about his offspring. And what about Yuma, he hoped she would accept him well, and that the reaction would not be so violent.
She smiled happily, she hoped she could handle Yuma's pregnancy well.
And with that thought, she went to finish some unfinished business she had previously left.
