Logan pleads with Kendall, "Promise me you won't go over to Eric and beat him up. Promise."
Reluctantly, Kendall replies, "I promise."
Logan leans in and whispers the details of what happened, anxiously awaiting Kendall's reaction.
"Wow, what a maniac," Kendall exclaims. "I appreciate that you were assisted by a girl named Chelsea. Do we all know her? What's her last name?"
"I'm not sure if you guys know her, and I don't know her last name either. All I know is that she's the cheerleading captain. She's pretty and popular, and I'm tutoring her for the biology test at the end of the month," Logan explains.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, you're tutoring a cheerleader? How did that even happen?" James asks.
"Yesterday, she asked me for help, and we came up with a plan to have our sessions during study hall," Logan reveals.
"Wow, that's interesting," James remarks.
"Why do you say that?" Logan asks, feeling confused by James' reaction.
"Well, because, as you mentioned, she's popular, pretty, and the cheerleader captain," James explains.
"Are you suggesting that she should be disgusted by me and regretting asking a less popular student like me for help in biology?" Logan responds, feeling offended.
"No, it's just unexpected," James clarifies.
"Because she's choosing to spend time with me. A kid who always gets picked last in gym class, gets paper cuts easily, and knows more about the lessons than the actual teachers," Logan says.
"You're misunderstanding, bro," James tries to explain.
"My feelings are completely valid in this situation," Logan insists, sighing. "I'm done eating. I have to go back to the library for study hall to continue my tutoring session with Chelsea. But I bet you find that hard to believe, right? That she would take an interest in me. It surprised me too, but I'm not complaining. I'm happy that she likes me." He walks away angrily.
Kendall sighs and facepalms at James, while Carlos remains silent, shaking his head in disappointment.
Upon leaving school, James spots Chelsea socializing with the other cheerleaders in the carpool lane. He notices her last name on the back of the cheerleading uniform she's holding and rushes to find Logan, Carlos, and Kendall.
"Guys, we need to talk immediately!" James exclaims.
"What hair emergency are you having now?" Logan inquires, still annoyed with James from earlier.
"My hair is fine! This is about Chelsea! I just saw her last name on her cheerleading uniform!" James explains.
"Congratulations, Sherlock. It's supposed to be on the back of her uniform," Logan retorts.
"Can you please tone down the attitude?" James requests.
"Apologize first," Logan demands.
"Are you still upset about earlier?" James asks.
"What do you think, jerk face?" Logan replies.
"I'm sorry, Logan. I didn't mean to upset you. Please forgive me," James apologizes.
"We're good," Logan confirms.
"Thank you. Now, about Chelsea. Her last name is Lancaster. She's infamous around school for one thing," James reveals.
"What's that?" Logan inquires.
"Manipulation," James responds.
