Hi, my name is Lykan Constitution H. Massachusetts, and I'm 25 years old. I was born on April 4, 6409. Currently, I reside in Jupiter, Nexus Platernum, a city renowned for its massive eye storm. We exist in a future era.
Physically, I am a semi-muscular individual with red hair that stylishly points backward. Professionally, I am a member of the UNDERWOLVES, a group dedicated to protecting the innocent people of our world, even if it means sacrificing ourselves. We possess unimaginable powers, but personally, I consider myself a Fighter and Assassin with no inherent abilities. I rely solely on the power passed down to me by my grandfather.
The weapons I utilize are a Katana and Bow, which have a futuristic appearance inherited from him. Specifically, I wield the Monomolecular Katana known as the Takemikazuchi Blade. Additionally, I also possess a non-powering blade, which I keep as mementos. These weapon are undeniably overpowered, and naturally, I feel nervous when wielding them.
The legacy of my grandfather means everything to me. Not only did he pass on his weapons, but he also trained me in formidable techniques. However, when I was 15 years old, he tragically passed away. I can still vividly recall his last words, filled with a selfless offering. He expressed his willingness to give me his eyes, a power that could unveil the weaknesses of others.
My grandfather had devised a ritual for the transference of his eyes. Despite the excruciating pain, I endured it with unwavering determination, knowing that I would inherit his extraordinary power. With boundless excitement, I realized that I now possessed my grandfather's abilities. However, my elation was abruptly cut short as I witnessed him succumbing to his injuries. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I sobbed uncontrollably, witnessing his outstretched hand reaching towards my face. It was a heart-wrenching moment, forever etched into my memory.
After my grandfather's funeral, everything changed. I struggled to move on, but I persevered. Now, as a teenager, I still haven't fully unlocked my powers. I feel trapped, like a nut within its shell, with no way to crack it open. However, since my grandfather bestowed his power upon me, I have gained some extraordinary speed and strength.
This speed goes beyond ordinary capabilities, providing me with endurance and agility, allowing me to blink and dash. Meanwhile, the strength I possess is awe-inspiring, making me formidable and powerful.
Present Year
No one's POV
Lykan, tired from his day's work, sat at his office desk, engrossed in the task of completing unfinished files and documentation papers. He had recently returned from a mission where he had provided assistance to his teammates on the battlefield. The weight of his responsibilities weighed heavily on him, and he let out a grunt, feeling the pressure of his serious commitment to his job.
As the night grew late, nearing 10 PM, Lykan decided to take a much-needed break. He stepped out onto his balcony, craving a breath of fresh air to rejuvenate his weary mind. The balcony was adorned with a variety of beautiful flowers, their gentle aroma of lavender wafting through the air, creating a calming atmosphere.
Looking up at the night sky, Lykan's gaze fixed on the stars, their twinkling lights offering a sense of peace and tranquility. He allowed himself a moment of quiet contemplation, finding solace in the serenity above. After a while, his attention shifted downward, towards the cityscape below.
From his vantage point, Lykan observed the bustling city below. Hover cars smoothly glided through the streets, carrying people to their destinations. Pedestrians strolled along the sidewalks, going about their nightly activities. Spaceships soared through the sky, some venturing off into the vastness of space. The sight of the city's constant motion and activity left Lykan with a mixture of awe and introspection.
With a sigh, Lykan absorbed the vibrant energy of the cityscape before him. It served as a reminder of the world he was part of, the interconnectedness of lives and the constant movement of society. He took a moment to appreciate the beauty and complexity of it all, preparing himself to return to his duties with renewed focus and determination.
Lykan's POV
I stepped back inside my office and resumed my work. I began reading through the files and drafting contracts to address overdue cases. Sitting in front of the PC, I meticulously encoded the names of the individuals assigned to their respective prison cells. As I worked, I grabbed another stack of files and placed them on my desk, creating a seemingly overwhelming pile. Nevertheless, I shrugged off the feeling, reminding myself that I had already managed to finish half of the reported files. Determined, I continued my task with focus and determination.
Lykan: "*Yawn*, 2,133 done, 18 to go. Wow, Lykan, I never realized how time-consuming this could be. But hey, at least you're good at it!" I complimented myself with a proud attitude, smiling at the scene of well-organized files. "Let's finish up quickly before treating ourselves to a fresh, hot coffee and a donut." With renewed motivation, I pushed forward, eager to complete the remaining tasks and reward myself with a small treat.
After three more hours of dedicated work, I finally completed all the files that had been assigned to me. Satisfied with my accomplishment, I made my way to my leader's office to report the successful completion of the tasks. My leader's name is Yamada.
Yamada: "Well done, Lykan! I never knew you could finish all these files in one go. The organization is impeccable." I watched as he placed the files on the shelf and turned his attention back to me. "Well, since you've completed your assignment today, what do you plan to do now, Lykan? You seemed quite eager to finish it all," Yamada inquired, taking a seat and activating his holographic table on the computerized screen.
Lykan: "Well, I was actually thinking of grabbing some coffee or having lunch outside. I've been working on these papers for quite some time, and I'm starting to feel hungry," I replied, scratching the back of my head with a slight blush of embarrassment. My leader's eyes widened as he looked at me, and a sense of disappointment seemed to fill the room.
Yamada: "Lykan, I truly admire your hardworking nature, but it's crucial that you prioritize self-care. You have no idea what could happen to your body if you continue to neglect your well-being. Furthermore, the fact that you managed to single-handedly take down the seven most dangerous and powerful criminals on our planet is both impressive and worrisome. We understand that you possess an immense power, but that doesn't mean you should be reckless. You don't know what dangers lie ahead, and you will only regret it later in life. Please understand that I won't allow you to compare your situation to mine from the past." Yamada's gaze bore into mine, intensifying the already tense atmosphere. Despite the air-conditioning operating at full volume, I could feel sweat forming on my brow. Finally, he spoke again, offering a reprieve. "I'm granting you a two-day break from your work, Lykan. Use this time wisely and take care of yourself."
Lykan: "but sir".
Yamada halted me with a simple hand gesture and pointed towards the exit of his office. Understanding his message, I saluted him and swiftly left the room. Letting out a sigh, I made my way back to my own office.
I held deep respect for Yamada due to his genuine care for his teammates and employees. He always prioritized their well-being, paying attention to their conditions and emotions. If something was bothering someone, he fearlessly intervened, ensuring everyone's needs were addressed. It was this aspect of his character that earned him our utmost respect.
Arriving at my desk, I retrieved my wallet and keys to my hover cycle. I made my way to the parking lot, scanning for my vehicle amidst the rows. Once located, I hopped onto my hover cycle and sped away from the headquarters. I directed myself towards my favorite restaurant, craving a well-deserved meal.
No one's POV
Lykan arrived at the restaurant, parking his hover cycle and entering the establishment. He made his way to the elevator and selected a higher floor, aiming for a seat with a balcony view to enjoy the city lights at night. Luck was on his side as he discovered a seating area equipped with four comfortable bean bags, providing a cozy option for him to relax. Choosing one of the bean bags, he settled in and patiently waited for the waiter to approach.
Fortunately, the wait was not too long, and the waiter soon arrived at Lykan's table to take his order. Lykan, eager to satisfy his cravings, requested a refreshing Lemon Mint Shake, a steaming bowl of Hot Ramen with supreme toppings, and some delectable Sushi with shrimp and fish wrapped in sea kelp. With the order placed, the waiter headed off to convey it to the kitchen.
As Lykan awaited his food, he took a moment to appreciate the peaceful cityscape before him. The twinkling lights of the city created an enchanting ambiance, and he felt a sense of tranquility wash over him. Seeking to pass the time, he tapped on the table, activating its transformation into a large tablet. The table's surface now served as a portal to various entertainment options.
Lykan began to scroll and swipe through the available content, exploring different utilities and sources of amusement. Amidst his exploration, he stumbled upon a live news broadcast that caught his attention. Reacting swiftly, he reached for his ear pods and placed them in his ears, enabling him to listen to the news while utilizing the table's convenient pop-up edge to access other features and utilities.
Lykan POV
As I put on the ear pods, I was taken aback by the seriousness of the news unfolding on the live screen. The building depicted was engulfed in a devastating fire, but this was no ordinary blaze. The flames burned in shades of violet and purple, flickering violently in an alarming manner. The reporter, positioned at a safe distance from the inferno, tried to convey the severity of the situation.
Reporter: "The flames are raging out of control following the incidents at Area 67, Sector 24's underground facilities. It appears to be a coordinated criminal raid. The heroes on the scene are facing immense difficulties in capturing the culprits due to the intense and relentless fire. The origins of this chaos remain unknown, but locals suspect the involvement of a traitor within the building..." Just as the reporter continued explaining the dire circumstances, a massive explosion erupted from the building, shattering it into pieces and generating a thick plume of black smoke. The force of the blast even sent the reporter stumbling back. Amidst the billowing black smoke, the escaping criminals could be seen boarding a colossal spaceship, using the chaos as cover for their getaway. The situation had escalated dramatically.
Citizen: "Help us!" The anguished screams of the citizens echoed in the background, pleading for assistance, yet no one seemed to respond to their desperate pleas.
Citizen: "Someone, somebody help!" The calls for help grew even more frantic. It was puzzling and disconcerting to realize that despite the presence of numerous high-ranking heroes, none of them had been able to defeat the villains responsible for the chaos. The numbers were staggering, with a total of 27 heroes present at the scene, including 15 epic-ranked heroes, 10 legendary-ranked heroes, and even a mythic-ranked hero among them.
Lykan: "Is it about the news I was watching on the screen, Sir Yamada? Because I have a feeling you're going to ask me to investigate this."
Yamada: "Don't worry, Lykan. I've already assigned Kasandra, Talon, and Genet to investigate the situation. They are in route as we speak. You don't have to be concerned anymore. However, I'd like to know if you saw anything significant during that live scene."
Lykan: "What do you mean by 'did I see something'? Are you referring to any specific details or events? Please let me know."
Yamada: "You didn't see that mark, didn't you? Reverse the live news they recorded and look at the spaceship. You'll be surprised." As he said that, I went to look back from what he said about the news report. I slide back for reverse, looking at the video. It seems Sir Yamada was right; it has this serpent mark on the spaceship. "So, did you see it, Lykan?"
Lykan: "Yes, sir. It's a serpent mark, sir. This belongs to the Almacadic clan from Neptune. Why is it here?"
Yamada: "We don't know, Lykan, but I don't like what's going on now. I'm sending you to spy on this mess and someone."
Lykan: "Who's my teammate, and you better not give me a boring one because I don't like it."
Yamada: "don't worry it's one of your favorite guy, he will be there at your location in few seconds."
Lykan: "He'll be here in seconds?"
: "Hey, brother! You look so lonely sitting here. Mind if I join the conversation?" I looked up and was pleasantly surprised to see Humphrey, my adopted brother known for his witty humor and ability to lighten the mood. A wide smile formed on my face, and I quickly got up, embracing him in a warm hug, which he happily reciprocated. "How have you been doing?"
Lykan: "Wow, Sir Yamada, I never expected you to bring Humphrey as my teammate, let alone my adopted brother. Thank you so much. Please, have a seat, Humphrey." I gestured for him to take a seat, and he gladly accepted, his smile still shining. "How's your military role as a tank/fighter/slayer been going?" Before Humphrey could respond, our conversation was interrupted by a cough from Yamada, reminding us that he was still on the call.
Yamada: "Anyway, gentlemen, I know why you've been called here urgently. We're aware of what happened from that news, and we understand the gravity of the situation. The other squads are on the frontline investigating the scenario, but it's clear they're having a hard time finding evidence. There's a reason why I called you two. I want you to go to Neptune, spy on the local delivery spaceship, and look for members of that clan. We suspect they may be aiding escaped prisoners or potentially even more criminals. Lykan and Humphrey, you're in charge of tracking down these individuals. The other squadrons will provide you with information on the escaped criminals. Your mission will commence next week. We want to allow things to cool off a bit because there's no point in blindly chasing them. We want to gain deeper insight into their organization and see if other syndicate leaders reveal themselves. You're both dismissed. Got it?" We simply just nod.
Yamada: "Yamada out." As I watched Yamada end the phone call, I noticed Humphrey smiling at me. I smiled back, finding it amusing how we ended up in this situation.
Lykan: "It's been a while, hasn't it, Humphrey? How has life been treating you? It looks like you're really enjoying yourself in the military."
Humphrey: "Not much has changed in my life, just the usual growing up. And how about you? You seem a bit tired. How are Mom, Dad, and everyone else doing?" He raised his hand, beckoning a waiter to our table.
Lykan: "Oh, they're all doing the same old, keeping the city safe. Don't worry about me. I've just finished handling paperwork and certificates for releasing criminals and processing new inmates into the jail." I swiped the screen, searching for some entertainment options. As I did, I noticed a waiter approaching our table, ready to take Humphrey's order.
Humphrey: "Do you want something, Lykan, or did you already place your order when I arrived?" He looked at me with curiosity.
Lykan: "I just ordered a bowl of ramen, sushi, and a lemon mint shake. I apologize if I didn't order for you. I wasn't sure what you'd like unless Sir Yamada mentioned it." I scratched my head, feeling a bit embarrassed.
Humphrey: "No worries, my teammates left me here as a surprise since I called Yamada for a special arrival. I'll have two Chili Shawarmas and an Orange Shake," Humphrey says, and the waiter takes note of his order.
Waiter: "Your order will be ready shortly, sir." I watch her leave and head to the kitchen.
Lykan: "So, what do you think about the accident?" I share the screen and let him watch the replay of the accident from the live news report. After explaining every detail for about 17 minutes. "Do you think it was an incident or intentional?"
Before he could answer my question, our orders arrived. The waiter placed our food in front of us. Humphrey received his order while I received mine.
Lykan: "Let's eat first before we start investigating this situation." Humphrey nods, and we begin eating our meals.
We enjoyed our respective orders, savoring the flavors. Now, you might be wondering how I met Humphrey.
But before delving into his past, let me clarify that Humphrey is a half-furry dire wolf hound and saber tooth feline blood/human or beast-kin, for lack of a better term. (Don't even think I'm one of those who fantasize about certain things). He possesses the features of a wolf, including wolf ears and a muscular tail. When we first met him, he wasn't as muscular, but with some training and time, he transformed into a formidable beast-machine. It took a while to earn his trust and ensure that we didn't exploit his powers for our own benefit.
Our paths crossed when I was 16 years old during my sixth mission, which led me to stumble upon a researcher's lab. Let me tell you, boy, I enjoyed that experience, and here's my past story.
Lykan embarked on a perilous mission, tasked with infiltrating the stronghold of a highly controversial scientist known for conducting cruel experiments on various beings. Equipped with a state-of-the-art Holographic body changer, Lykan possessed the ability to assume different identities, enabling him to navigate the intricate web of deception surrounding the scientist and his associates.
With forged credentials in hand, Lykan approached the imposing building situated in Saturn Area 9M, Sector ZT 85, at the Northern Pole. His heart raced as he entered the premises, his senses heightened, ready to uncover the truth hidden within its walls. Guided by his instincts and training, Lykan discreetly made his way through the labyrinthine corridors, evading security measures and surveillance systems.
His objective was clear - to uncover the origin and nature of the project being conducted by the scientist and the forces behind it. Lykan meticulously searched for profiles, certificates, and any documentation that would shed light on the project's purpose and its backers. Each file he uncovered added pieces to the puzzle, hinting at a web of power and influence that stretched far beyond his initial expectations.
However, his search took a dark turn when he stumbled upon a hidden folder, buried deep within the digital archives. The contents of this folder sent chills down Lykan's spine, threatening to overwhelm him with a mix of revulsion and horror. Images and descriptions of unimaginable cruelty and suffering etched themselves into his mind, searing his consciousness with their brutality.
Though shaken to his core, Lykan's resolve solidified in the face of such abhorrent atrocities. His anger burned like a raging inferno, fueling his determination to put an end to the scientist's reign of terror. He pressed on, driven by the need to rescue those innocent souls subjected to the scientist's sadistic experiments.
Navigating through the labyrinthine facility, Lykan traced the path that led him to the sector where the hostages were being held captive. His heart pounded in his chest as he prepared to confront the truth head-on, knowing that the stakes were higher than ever. With each step, his determination grew, ready to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that justice prevailed.
Lykan's POV
As I made my way deeper into the underground tunnel, where they conducted their experiments on test subjects, I overheard a conversation between two scientists. To get closer and listen in, I pretended to be making a coffee, blending into the background.
Scientist : "Have you heard the news?" He glanced at his checkboard, filled with documents and papers.
Scientist : "What news?" I leaned in closer, sipping my coffee and pretending to write on some papers.
Scientist : "The experiment with the tentacle specimens was a success. They can create wormholes, allowing for portals to other galaxies. The boss has control over them, and I'm impressed by their hypnotic powers. But that's not all. These tentacle creatures are being used to abduct other beings, whether alive or dead."
As I listened to those words, fury welled up inside me. I clenched my fists, struggling to keep my anger in check. It was crucial for me to maintain a low profile and not reveal my true self. Engaging in a fight here would only complicate things. I needed to witness these events first-hand before taking any action.
Lykan: "Just you wait, all of you. I'll make sure that I kill every single one of you with my own hands," I whispered to myself, my voice filled with determination and vengeance.
Continuing my descent into the underground facility, I passed numerous elevators and escalators, each labelled with sector signs indicating different sections. Finally, I arrived at Sector 46, where an elevator awaited to take me even deeper underground. This was where they housed the most powerful and dangerous experimental beings. However, something caught my attention along the way. Curiosity piqued, I approached an open door and discreetly peeked inside. Two individuals were present—one scientist and one doctor. I remained hidden, eavesdropping on their conversation.
Scientist: "We need to revive him quickly!" he exclaimed, attempting to grab an IV bag and inject blood into the unconscious person on the table. I observed them for a moment, realizing that the person lying there appeared to be around my height and age. "Don't just stand there! Help me!" the scientist shouted, forcefully grabbing the doctor's shirt and pointing a knife at him in frustration.
I watched as the two of them argued, but my focus was on the lifeless body lying on the operating bed. It was a boy with a tail and wolf-like ears, his human body torn and mangled. His chest was open, exposing his organs, brain, and hearts. Bruises and scars covered his limbs, and the most gruesome sight was that his limbs had been severed, with only his left arm and right leg still attached.
Scientist: "We need to revive him quickly. He's too young to die. I despise this job, witnessing these poor subjects endure such outcomes," the scientist said, pointing the knife threateningly at the doctor's eye.
Doctor: "Okay, okay, I'll do my best," the doctor responded, his voice filled with resignation. The scientist released his grip, and the operation commenced. The scientist injected various colored fluids, experimenting with different vital blood types, while the doctor carefully placed the organs back into their rightful positions. He then went to a corner, retrieving a few bones and veins, which he began to add to the boy's body. "It will take approximately three hours to complete the process," the doctor informed, his tone weighted with the gravity of the situation.
Scientist: "I don't care, as long as we can revive him," the scientist muttered, searching for another jar filled with experimental liquid, seeking the right fusion of DNA. "We must bring him back to life as soon as possible, before anyone discovers us."
As the two individuals struggled to revive the boy, I managed to catch a glimpse of the test subject's name: Subject 47, Unknown. I found a document stating that this subject was a failed kidnapping victim, chosen solely for the purpose of experimentation, not for being torn apart. It became clear to me that this was connected to the tentacle monster. Hastily, I returned the files to their original positions, careful not to leave any trace of my presence.
Scientist: "I know you're there. You should reveal yourself now," the scientist's voice echoed through the room. Slowly, I rose to my feet, finally revealing myself. "If you're here to expose us, that's fine. Just as long as we can still save his life," he added, a mix of desperation and determination in his voice.
I approached them slowly, observing their focused efforts to save the boy's life. The doctor meticulously arranged his brain and heart back in their proper positions and began stitching his body, carefully reconnecting his arms, legs, chest, and more. Meanwhile, the scientist worked on the final steps of the revival process.
Doctor: "We need to place him in a vessel quickly," the doctor said, pressing a button that revealed a tube-shaped container filled with green liquid. Without paying attention to my presence, they attached vital monitors to the boy's body and fitted a breathing mask over his face, ensuring everything was in order. With some struggle, they successfully placed his body into the vessel tube.
Doctor: "Finished. Now, we wait," It was then that both of them finally turned their attention to me. Their gazes were filled with confusion and curiosity. "Are you lost or simply confused? Who are you, and how did you manage to reach this lowest level of the building where dangerous subjects are kept?" the scientist questioned, clearly puzzled by my presence.
Scientist: "Now that you mentioned it, doc, what's your name, and how did you manage to get here?" he asked, leaning in closer to me.
I let out a sigh and took a seat, deciding to explain everything I knew, including my background as a spy and the truth behind the situation. The two individuals appeared shocked upon discovering my true identity.
Scientist: "So, you're a spy?" he confirmed, to which I nodded. "What do you plan to do now? I mean, there are many of us," he questioned, expressing concern.
Lykan: "But that won't stop me from being a hero," I declared, pulling out my blade and pointing it at the scientist. To my surprise, he didn't flinch or react at all. Instead, he chuckled.
Scientist: "I want you to help us," he stated.
Lykan: "And why should I?" I asked, cautiously lowering my blade.
Doctor: "Because we are just clones," he interjected, capturing my attention. I turned my head towards him, a mixture of surprise and suspicion evident on my face.
Lykan: "What do you mean you're just clones?" I inquired, my curiosity and suspicion growing. "Explain to me what you mean by 'clone'."
The doctor reached into his drawer and retrieved a file and a document, while the scientist checked on the boy in the tube to assess his recovery progress. To their surprise, he was slowly regaining strength. The doctor handed me the file and document.
Doctor: "Here it is. You may choose to read it or not." I took the file and document from his hand and began reading.
The document contained information about various experimental subjects that had been successfully tested. However, it was disheartening to learn that six human subjects had either died or suffered fatal consequences during the experiments.
The file revealed details about a cloning machine, stating that it was a significant addition to their laboratory. It mentioned the benefits of duplicating humans or creatures for experimental purposes, emphasizing the need to continue testing and improving the new clones. The document hinted at a new era of powerful creations through the multiplication and division of test subjects.
As I read through the contents, a surge of anger welled up inside me. The madness of such experiments and the disregard for human life became increasingly apparent.
Lykan: "What happened to the old test subjects?" I looked at them, but sadly, they were looking at the ground and shaking their heads, which meant they didn't survive. "So, you're telling me that the current test subject is a new clone while the previous ones were executed?" They nodded with sadness on their faces. It meant that the two individuals I was talking to were clones, while the previous test subjects were no longer alive.
Doctor: "This is a madness experiment. We are being tormented endlessly. We are sick and tired of living like this. So, we ask you this once, can you help us?"
Scientist: "Please, help us. We have been cloned 296 times or more now." I was shocked to hear that he had been resurrected so many times. It went against the natural order of living things. This situation felt more like slavery and torment rather than true life. "Will you help us?" he pleaded.
Lykan: "I'll do my best to help, but what about him?" I point at the vessel.
Doctor: "Don't worry about him. We will uphold the core values of competence, ensuring his revival and embracing the opportunities that come with it. However, the challenge lies in ensuring his responsive feedback once he regains consciousness. He needs to embrace the concept of acceptance, and we hope he will not turn against us." He checks the vitals of the revived subject.
Scientist: "I have a task for you, but it's located in sector 105 of the top building. There's a nuclear reactor that needs to be destroyed. It is connected to the power source of the tentacles, or as you can call them, the Krakatoa Serwenga."
Lykan: "Krakatoa Ser, what now?"
Scientist: "Krakatoa Serwenga is the name we use for the beast specimen that can create portals. The tentacle monsters that kidnap living beings without leaving any trace. The nuclear reactor is what provides them with power. By destroying it, we can weaken their fighting capabilities."
Doctor: "In short, killing the main specimen will deactivate their powers. However, if you plan to kill everyone and destroy everything, make sure you don't damage the glass-contained specimen. There are consequences associated with it. I will explain everything once you return. For now, we will lock ourselves in this room for safety." The doctor enters a code on the screen, revealing a safety vault on the other side of the room.
Doctor: "We will hide here as a safety measure until you return."
Lykan: "The cloning machine is located in the lower area, specifically in the negative sector 709 experimentation facility. I understand it's a long way, but putting an end to our suffering after years of revival will be worth it." Both of them start pushing the vessel into the vault, ensuring its safety.
Scientist: "We will be waiting inside the vault. Make sure you destroy those machines."
Lykan: "Don't worry, I will take control of the situation if necessary." I walk away, leaving them inside the vault as it closes. My next destination is the lower building facility at sector 709, where the cloning machine is located.
As I approach the large elevator, I notice 26 guards conversing with 8 scientists. The guards meticulously search them, inspecting every piece of clothing and checking from top to bottom to ensure they are not carrying any weapons. However, I am different.
Guard: "your next scientist remove your clothe and pants so we can continue the procedure." As he pointing his baton on my face, smiling at me.
Lykan: Giggle "that's cute, but I'm afraid I can't comply." With a flourish, I reveal my katana to the guards, leaving them shocked and gasping in disbelief. Reacting quickly, one of the guards in the room hits the red button, triggering the blaring alarm. "A grave mistake," I remark with a determined voice. Swinging my katana, I unleash a relentless onslaught, swiftly eliminating every guard in the room. Shredded bodies lie scattered around me, and even the scientists didn't manage to survive my devastating attack. "Now, it's time to proceed to Sector 706," I assert resolutely. Stepping into the elevator, I am accompanied by the grim presence of the deceased guards. With the dead bodies beside me, I press the button marked 706, initiating the descent to the designated sector.
As I descended for about 5 hours, the sirens continued blaring at full volume, a constant reminder of the chaos I had caused. The announcer's voice echoed through the elevator, and I leaned against the wall, listening intently.
Announcer: "We have a code red, we have a code red. I repeat, he's heading...". Until someone took his place and then I heard a similar voice. "Lykan, we're here to help you. The leader has said we have the permission to kill everyone." It was Yamada speaking on the microphone.
Lykan: "Yamada, what are they doing here?" I looked up at the speaker, puzzled and wary.
Yamada: "Lykan, we got a call from those 2 persons the scientist and the doctor we manage to get a lot information when you start killing those clones they're many of them, don't worry about those two they are safe and sound Hammer and Thyroid are protecting them at all cost specially they're reviving someone. Continue the mission as soon as possible, Yamada Out.".
Lykan: "Be careful, sir Yamada. You don't know what's lurking in the corner." I reached into my pocket and retrieved a piece of bubble-gum, casually chewing and blowing bubbles as I continued towards my destination. With a swift motion, I opened my holographic watch and commanded it to activate my battle suit. As I did so, my disguise transformed into a full suit of Warmech armor, ready for the upcoming battle. "Oh, I'm finally here."
The elevator doors opened, revealing a chaotic scene adorned with an array of guns, lasers, missiles, tanks, and villains proudly exhibiting their powers. Their intentions were clear: to intimidate and assert their dominance. However, I remained unfazed within the confines of my battle suit armor, nonchalantly popping my bubble-gum, emanating an air of defiance and unwavering confidence.
Villain: "So, you're the guy who broke into our facility. Big mistake, pal!" He showcased his fire techniques.
Gunner: "Put your hands in the air and surrender to us!" All the guns were pointed in my direction.
Lykan: "You must be quite frightened." With a smooth motion, I aimed my Katana at him and slowly brought it down. He didn't react or flinch, as if something was amiss. "It's too late now." I began to approach them at a leisurely pace.
Villain: "What's going on? Are you okay, buddy?" He reached out to his teammate, but there was no response. They both turned their attention to me, and I simply shrugged.
Then, he started to split in half due to my actions, a clean and precise cut. The villains were stunned as they realized it was a dimensional cut. The gunners desperately tried to shoot me, but their bullets and rockets bounced off my impenetrable suit. It was fortunate for me that they had poorly coordinated their passive abilities, and even worse, they didn't seem to notice that their attacks were charging the Passive Armor of my Evo Suit. The bullets merely ricocheted off the suit, and the lasers proved to be equally ineffective. As the villains grasped the futility of their attacks, they paused, their menacing gazes fixed on me. Inside my armor, a triumphant smile crossed my face, knowing their efforts were in vain.
Villain : "Why are you so strong? This is ridiculous!" he exclaimed, his frustration evident in his voice as he lunged at me with his sword. However, I swiftly countered his attack with a skillful stroke of my own blade.
Lykan: "You should understand that combat has various levels. Right now, you're up against a formidable opponent. To intensify your despair, your end will come at the hands of your own clone. It's only fitting that clones like you cease to exist throughout the solar system." With a firm grip on my sword, I swiftly brought him to the ground and effortlessly sliced through his neck, ending his life without hesitation or remorse. Utilizing my Evo Suit passive abilities, I observed the bullets and beams slowing down as they approached me. It seemed that all the projectile attacks were charging the amplifier and unit remained active. However, the incoming attacks soon barraged me once more.
Lykan: "Here we go again," I declared, initiating a swift and deadly dash that sliced through the enemies, cleaving them in half. Some of them began to panic, their fear evident in their expressions, while others stood their ground defiantly. With each strike, I targeted one enemy after another, delivering a barrage of devastating blows that led to their swift demise. In just two seconds, I executed thirteen powerful, rapid swings, leaving their bodies sliced and maimed. "Huh, it looks like the amplifiers are fully charged!" I remarked as the suit began to slightly repair itself due to minor scratches on the armor. As the enemies regained their composure, I surveyed the surroundings and realized that within a span of 20 minutes, I had successfully eliminated 457 of them, thanks to the advantage provided by the Precognition Protocol.
All the gunners unleashed a relentless barrage of bullets in my direction, but I simply charged towards them. Someone created a massive ice glacier, hoping to impede my progress, but with a powerful strike, I sliced it in half, clearing my path. Another attempted to shock me with lightning, but I deftly maneuvered out of harm's way, avoiding the electrifying bolts. Despite the relentless hail of bullets and the obstacles in my path, my determination remained unwavering as I steadily advanced towards the cloning machine.
Lykan: "This is getting tiresome." Seeking shelter amidst a relentless onslaught of fire and magic, I tightly gripped my katana in my left hand and pointed it to the right, ready to strike. "Let's end this." With a powerful swing, I cut down the enemies before me, even causing the building's beams to slowly crumble, leaving a gaping scar in the room. My katana gleamed brightly, eager for more bloodshed. After several minutes of relentless killing, I surveyed the lifeless bodies scattered around, some gruesomely dismembered, with organs strewn about. "Maybe I've gone too far..." The weight of my actions, having taken the lives of over a thousand individuals, weighed heavily on my conscience. However, I couldn't dwell on it for long. I knew I had to gather my resolve and press onward. Shaking off the remorse, I continued towards the other side of the room, determined to complete my mission.
No one POV
As Lykan surveyed the room, he couldn't help but feel a mixture of awe and horror at the sight before him. The cloning machine hummed with activity, tirelessly converting blood into an unending stream of cloned humans. The magnitude of the operation was staggering.
His attention was drawn to an open container from which a seemingly endless procession of clones emerged, marching in perfect synchronization. Their numbers were overwhelming, with millions of them armed with a variety of weapons and endowed with unique powers. It was an imposing army that stood between Lykan and his objective.
In the distance, Lykan's gaze settled on a figure seated atop a platform, wearing a commanding helmet. It was evident that this individual was the one controlling the vast army of clones, pulling the strings. Lykan's determination grew stronger as he prepared to confront this formidable adversary and put an end to the threat of cloning once and for all.
With a swift motion, Lykan reached for his katana, poised to strike with a perfect balance of precision and power. He braced himself, ready to charge forward, defying the overwhelming odds and seizing control of the situation. However, his focus was abruptly interrupted by a voice calling out to him, shattering the silence that hung in the air.
Lykan's POV
: "Psst, over here." I looked around and noticed Yamada, Vex, and Rahika positioned by a human-sized vent. I cautiously made my way to them, ensuring no one saw me. Once I reached them, I questioned their presence. "What are you guys doing here?"
Yamada: "We heard they were launching a full-scale attack, so we hurried here to assist you. Dealing with this massive onslaught would disrupt our strategy since some of their powers exploit our weaknesses." He knelt down, using a telescope to survey the surroundings.
Rahika: "Hey, Lykan," attempting a seductive tone. I quickly averted my gaze, avoiding her advances as I disliked such attitudes from girls.
Vex: "You know Lykan dislikes that kind of behavior, Rahika. We're just messing around." She crossed her arms and rolled her eyes in Rahika's direction.
I sighed, pondering over what I might have done to deserve this situation. However, I shifted my focus as Yamada dedicated his attention to finding a solution to stop the cloning machine. His keen eyes caught sight of something that held the potential to bring an end to this threat.
Yamada: "Vex, can you copy that guy over there, the one who creates darkness and uses it to manipulate? We need you to create a black hole to engulf the area in darkness. Once that happens, you can use the black hole to target the guy wearing the helmet. He's the one controlling everything." Yamada pointed towards the individual in question. "Rahika, in case things don't go according to plan, I need you to use your ice powers from your Element X. Freeze everything and everyone in the area. Once they're frozen, transform them into clear crystals using your Element X," Yamada instructed Rahika.
Yamada: "And what's your move, Lykan? You seem to have an idea for this situation." I simply smiled at him, locking eyes, while Rahika and Vex looked on, confused by our conversation. Yamada then turned to the girls and explained, "Oh, by the way, Rahika and Vex, the reason I'm saying this is to support Lykan because he possesses the power to complete this mission in just five minutes."
Lykan: "Well, I was thinking of heading to Sector 105 to eliminate the Tentacle specimens that can create portals. While I take care of that, you can focus on dealing with the cloning machine. I need to get there as soon as possible, as that's where the leader is located, using his hypnosis on the specimens," I explained, looking at Yamada. The girls wore worried expressions as they listened to our conversation.
Yamada: "Alright, if that's the plan. Rahika, create a portal for Lykan so he can descend to Sector 105 and complete the mission. Lykan, you have the green light to go," Yamada confirmed. I nodded in agreement as Rahika opened the portal, ready for me to embark on my journey to Sector 105.
I stepped through the portal, bidding farewell to my team as they wished me luck on my mission. As the portal closed behind me, I turned around only to find myself surrounded once again by enemies wielding pointed weapons and displaying their powers. I let out a sigh, mentally preparing for another intense battle. After an arduous hour of relentless fighting and countless foes vanquished, I finally reached the other side of the room.
Lykan: "Finally, I made it. Now, to open this vault," I said to myself as I approached the control panel. I entered the password code and inserted the key, initiating the process to unlock the gateway. Slowly, the gateway began to open, revealing a nuclear sphere radiating a bright glow. Ten pillars stood connected to it, providing support, while below me, a cyan-colored liquid filled the chamber, cooling the nuclear sphere to a safe temperature. However, my concern grew as I noticed the absence of the tentacle specimens I had expected to encounter. "Where are those tentacles?" I pondered aloud, my eyes scanning the room for any signs of the creatures. My gaze fell upon a large platform, stained with blood, and counted a total of seventeen of them. The mystery of their whereabouts intrigued me, raising further questions about the situation at hand.
As I looked around, I stumbled upon some peculiar files containing information about the experiments. They detailed the successful kidnappings of individuals, leaving no trace of evidence behind. What intrigued me even more was how the mastermind behind all this could control these enormous beings. I delved deeper into the files, trying to find clues about the person responsible. However, my focus was abruptly interrupted by an incoming attack. Reacting swiftly, I leaped towards the ceiling, impaling my katana into it and hanging on for safety. I noticed cracks forming from the direction of the attack, indicating the presence of an invisible assailant.
Lykan: "What the...?" Another attack came my way, prompting me to release my grip and swiftly descend to the ground, evading the strikes. Despite their invisibility, I managed to anticipate their moves, relying on my Eyes and Armor Passives. In a daring move, I threw my katana into a corner, injuring one of the assailants. A piercing scream echoed through the room as the creature revealed itself the Tentacle Specimens. "Oh, finally you show yourself. I was starting to get bored, you asshole."
The specimen revealed itself in a violent display of glowing cyan, its body emanating an eerie light. Its face resembled that of an octopus, while its form exhibited a combination of arms, wings, and legs transformed into octopus-like appendages. The beast launched into another relentless assault, its numerous counterparts circling around me. To complicate matters, some of them possessed the ability to turn invisible, making it even more challenging to anticipate their attacks. They utilized their tentacles to teleport, adding an unpredictable element to their movements. With every dodge, I fought to maintain focus, knowing that a single misstep could prove fatal.
Lykan: "So this is what the scientists were talking about, the Krakatoa Serwenga, huh? I never knew they could be so annoying to battle. If this is only one, then where are the other Krakatoa Serwenga?" Just then, I heard someone clapping with a sense of delight. The beasts halted their attacks as they turned to face the source of the applause. I looked up and saw a scientist, wearing a grin, clapping his hands. "So, you're the one who seems to be responsible for all of this. What a ridiculous individual you are."
The figure slowly revealed himself under the light, dressed in a red suit with a necktie, resembling a businessman. He stood on top of the Spectating room, and to my surprise, more Krakatoa Serwenga appeared, leaving me in a 1 versus 15 situation inside the room. I looked up at the person with a dissatisfied expression on my face.
: "So, Hero, I never knew you could make it this far without realizing the territory you've gotten yourself into. You see, we don't show mercy or forgiveness to those who break into our lab facilities. And to make things easier, you're all alone. What's it gonna be?" he taunted, pouring himself a glass of whiskey and taking a seat to enjoy the spectacle. "You know, this is where your life comes to an end. You're all alone now. Beast, take care of everything," he commanded before taking a sip of his drink.
Lykan: "What a lazy-ass guy." I placed my right hand on my hip while my left hand covered my face, shaking my head in disbelief. The beast launched its attack, using both arms to crush anything in its way. I swiftly dodged the onslaught and found myself atop the Krakatoa Serwenga, ready to face the challenge.
: "Dodge all you want, but you can't escape. This is where you die, along with the rest of the experimented beings," he said, swirling his glass and taking a sip with satisfaction.
As I observed him sipping his whiskey or beer, or whatever drink he had in hand, I noticed another Krakatoa lunging forward with a powerful fist. However, a smile spread across my face as it attempted to strike. With swift agility, I leaped towards the ceiling, driving my katana into it and hanging upside down, witnessing the astonishing sight of the beast inadvertently striking its own kind in the head. The force of the blow sent it crashing to the ground, but it swiftly recovered and retaliated by delivering a fierce punch to its counterpart's head. Mesmerized, I watched as the two Krakatoa engaged in an intense battle.
Lykan: Laughing "I wish you had taught your specimens to behave and accept the consequences of their actions." I chuckled while hanging from my katana, which had pierced the ceiling.
The businessman finished his drink and casually tossed the glass against the wall. His eyes began to emit a violet glow, capturing the attention of the two battling beasts and the other 13 Krakatoa creatures, causing them to immediately turn invisible. I closed my eyes, focusing to enhance my detection abilities, and sensed their presence. However, I felt unease as they refrained from launching any attacks. Until an unexpected companion came to my aid.
Lykan: "K10, what are you doing here!" I exclaimed. As the words left my mouth, I watched him on the ground while I swiftly pulled my katana out from the ceiling, gracefully landing on the ground with both feet. My loyal robotic K9 dog had come to my aid, adorned with laser and kinetic bullet guns on his back.
K10: "I came to aid you, that's why," it replied, standing by my side.
Lykan: "Very well then," I said, walking alongside K10. "So, K10, are you ready to track down these creatures, or should we engage in relentless pursuit?" I asked, looking at my robotic companion. As I commanded, my katana blazed with a radiant blue glow, exuding power and precision.
As K10 surveyed the surroundings with its advanced sensors, it swiftly detected an imminent attack coming from my 7 o'clock. Reacting with agility, both K10 and I evaded the assault, narrowly escaping its lethal strike. K10 alerted me,
K10: "Another adversary is approaching from the north, 12 o'clock." Placing my trust in K10's heightened senses, K10 unleashed a relentless barrage of bullets with unmatched precision. Each bullet found its mark, piercing the creature's flesh and releasing a stream of crimson. The monster howled in agony, visibly wounded and crippled, prompting it to retreat, momentarily subdued by the ferocity of our counterattack.
Lykan: "Impressive skills, K10. I appreciate it," I acknowledged, scanning the room to find that the mysterious figure had vanished along with the remaining Krakatoas. "Can you detect their heartbeats or pulses, K10?"
K10: "Negative, sir. They have vanished," K10 responded, its robotic voice tinged with a hint of disappointment. I let out a sigh, accepting the fact that our enemies had managed to escape. However, K10 quickly refocused its attention. "May I search the computer file systems for any information on other experiments?"
Lykan: "Certainly, but what happens when I activate my Eyes Ability?" I asked as my Eyes emitted a violent glow into Crimson Bloody Red showing its symbol, seizing the opportunity to exploit their grave mistake. A thunderous roar reverberated through the facility, its echoes resonating for miles. Their ability to create wormholes, granting them access to other realms and dimensions, was nullified by my power. By striking the two Krakatoas, I had effectively neutralized their supernatural capabilities. "I've got you now. K10, continue scouring for any files, computers, or documents. Report your findings to headquarters, understood?"
K10: "You can rely on me," it responded, swiftly scaling the wall to reach the second floor and beyond, retrieving the files from the designated location.
As I observed K10's departure, I initiated the command to unfurl the wings of my suit. The turbo thrusters integrated into the suit's wings roared to life, propelling me forward with tremendous force. Leaving behind a trail of craters, I maneuvered through each room, determined to locate the exit. However, the facility's defenses were now fully activated, unleashing a barrage of firepower in my direction.
No one's POV
Lykan moved swiftly through the treacherous hallways, expertly dodging the relentless onslaught of shots, laser beams, and missiles. Despite their skills in wielding magic and power, Lykan's enemies couldn't land a single hit on him. He pressed on, unwavering in his determination, with his sole focus on finding an escape route.
Finally, he reached the exit, only to encounter a formidable obstacle - a locked gate blocking his path. With incredible agility, Lykan drew his gleaming katana, its blade radiating a deadly gleam. In a swift and decisive strike, he shattered the gate, clearing his path to freedom.
Soaring into the vast sky, Lykan activated his eye's scanning capabilities, scanning the surroundings for any signs of his adversaries. His attention was drawn to a hovering green dot, where the struggling Krakatoas desperately tried to open a portal. Despite their efforts, their attempts proved futile, and they plummeted from the sky.
Seeing this opportunity, Lykan surged toward the falling Krakatoas, generating a resounding sonic boom as he ascended. Drawing power from his katana, he unleashed an intense Slice Force, leaving a lasting mark. The force from his katana stopped the descent of the two Krakatoas, holding them in place.
Executing a graceful backflip, Lykan closed the distance between himself and the trapped Krakatoas. His wings shimmered with a vibrant cyan glow, propelling him forward at incredible speed. The ensnared Krakatoas found themselves trapped in an inescapable force and the full thrust of Lykan's suit, engulfed in a blazing fireball.
As the Krakatoas fought back, Lykan adopted a Battle Stance, countering their attacks with swift and precise slashes. His katana sliced through their tentacles with expert precision, executing a series of well-coordinated moves. Launching a counter-attack, Lykan unleashed slash projectiles that inflicted damage on the Krakatoas, severing some of their tentacles.
Lykan's keen awareness alerted him to another Krakatoa hurtling toward the ground behind him. Determined to eliminate the threat, he intensified his powerful slash, summoning a moon crescent shape from his katana. Positioned strategically in front of the Krakatoa, the Giant Slash maximized the impact. Fueled by the power of his katana and reaching the peak of his strength, Lykan delivered a devastating blow upon contact with the ground.
The resulting cataclysmic collision between the forces of Lykan's gravitational pull and the meteor created a massive crater. The once serene Valley of Saturn transformed into a chaotic landscape, characterized by swirling winds, billowing dust, and fractured mountains. The scene resembled the aftermath of an asteroid's cataclysmic impact, a testament to Lykan's unparalleled power and the destructive force he wielded.
Lykan's POV
As the settling dust revealed the aftermath, I surveyed the scene with a heavy heart. One of the Krakatoas lay lifeless on the ground, while the other struggled to cling to life, visibly weakened. Just then, a call came in from my leader, Yamada. But instead of a warm greeting, his voice was filled with panic and concern.
Yamada: "What on earth just happened, Lykan? Why is there a massive cloud of dust engulfing your location? And what caused the ground to shake violently, as if struck by an asteroid? The shockwave was so powerful that it reached our room and affected the Earth dimension. K10 reported that he couldn't find the backup generators while searching for the necessary files. Thankfully, Vex and Hakira only sustained minor head injuries and scratches. K10 lost his right weapon, but luckily it was a kinetic bullet and not his laser weapon. The scientists and doctors are alright, but Hammer and Thyroid are still regaining consciousness after suffering head injuries. What is your current status?" Yamada's voice conveyed a mix of worry and frustration, and I realized the magnitude of the destruction I had unwittingly caused. The impact of my attack had not only neutralized the Krakatoas but had also inflicted significant damage to the entire facility. I felt a wave of remorse wash over me, knowing the consequences of my actions.
Lykan: "Um, sir, before you get upset... hehehe, let me explain." I attempted to lighten the mood with a nervous chuckle.
Yamada: "Explain yourself," he replied, his gaze fixed on me through the screen.
Lykan: "Allow me to provide a detailed account, sir. It was my decision to pursue the Krakatoas into space once I discovered their attempt to escape. With swift precision, I closed the distance between us, utilizing the power of my Katana's Slash Force to forcefully bring them down to the surface of Saturn. Sensing their retaliatory tentacle attacks, I swiftly activated my Katana's ability, countering their strikes with calculated precision. Recognizing the imminent threat they posed, I summoned a Giant Slash using the full extent of my Katana's power, positioning it directly in front of their faces. The resulting impact upon contact with the ground created a cataclysmic event, generating a massive crater that plunged the once serene Valley of Saturn into chaos. Swirling winds whipped up billowing clouds of dust, while the mountains crumbled and shattered under the intense force unleashed. I deeply regret the devastation caused by my actions." As I conveyed the details, I noticed Yamada's eyes twitching with disbelief, his forehead turning a deep shade of red as anger surged within him.
Yamada: "You reckless fool! You nearly endangered us all!" he shouted angrily. "Exercise more caution and foresight! Can't you comprehend the magnitude of the damage you've caused? Ensure you submit a thorough report once we return to the office!"
Lykan: "Sir, yes, sir." I frowned, my head hanging low as a mixture of shame and regret engulfed me. At least I had been honest about my actions, refusing to resort to lies. As I prepared to conclude the conversation, Yamada's curiosity got the better of him.
Yamada: "Can you show me what these creatures, the Krakatoa Serwenga, look like?" he asked. I turned the holographic screen towards him, displaying an image of the monstrous beasts. Yamada's eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at the terrifying sight before him. "That's the Krakatoa Serwenga? Unbelievable! They're colossal, even larger than a blue whale. Wait... are you telling me that you slash one of these creatures while it was airborne, before it struck the ground?" Yamada's voice reflected a mixture of incredulity and awe.
Lykan: "Yep, some of them managed to escape as well. I did my utmost to track them down, but they eluded me. By the way, how's the progress with the revival of the vessel by the Doctor and Scientist?"
Yamada: "They are safe and sound, making good progress. Don't be too hard on yourself, Lykan. You did everything in your power to capture them. Our main objective is to safeguard the hostages and protect the living beings subjected to experimentation. I didn't expect you to kill or annihilate, except for the clones. They needed to be eliminated. Speaking of which, we successfully destroyed the cloning machine and dismantled the clone army. Trust me, it wasn't an easy task, as some of them exploited our powers' weaknesses." He sighed, the weight of recent events palpable in his voice.
Just as I was about to respond, my attention was diverted by an incoming call, which I promptly answered. It was K10 on the line, his tone filled with concern.
K10: "We have a problem. An incoming swarm of spaceships is heading straight for us. They are heavily armed with powerful guns and formidable armies, particularly those equipped with railguns. They are preparing to open fire. What course of action should we take?"
Lykan: "I will attempt to deflect their attacks."
Yamada: "I'm afraid that might not be feasible, Lykan, because in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1..." Just as Yamada's warning reached my ears, a sudden rush of wind swept behind me, and there they were—the reinforcements in the form of our own fleet of spaceships, accompanied by our comrades. Our ships wasted no time in engaging the enemy, unleashing a barrage of fire. I couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement as I witnessed the Orian Mothership's mighty sphere beam resonating through the vastness of outer space. With a resounding blast, it unleashed a devastating sphere that obliterated several enemy vessels. The Orian possessed the remarkable ability to mark and teleport its spheres, inflicting widespread damage in the process.
Lykan: "This is Overlord, do you copy? This is Overlord, I repeat! Can anyone hear us?"
Yamada: "We read you, Overlord."
Overlord: "What is the status of your teammates? It appears that the enemies have caused significant chaos. And why is there so much dust when we arrived at your location outside the building?" Upon hearing that, a wave of sweat ran down my body, causing even my armor's cooling system to go into overdrive.
Yamada: "It's a long story," Yamada responded, raising an eyebrow as he gazed at me through the screen.
Overlord: "We are sending an extraction point. Be prepared at your location. Medics, soldiers, and power users are en route." I glanced up at the sky, witnessing the spaceships deploying mini ships for reinforcement.
Lykan: "K10, I need you to create some destruction at ground level. I forgot about something important that needs to be taken care of." With that, I ended the call with Yamada.
K10: "Understood, sir. I will update you once I have completed your request." K10 ended the call and swiftly embarked on the assigned mission.
Lykan sat down, observing as the carriers flew overhead, bringing reinforcements to their aid. He could see the battle carriers securing the perimeter of the building, ensuring their safety.
No one's POV
Two hours later, the scene unfolded from a neutral perspective, observing the events that transpired. Lykan sat on a bed in the medical carrier, wearing a towel on his head and waiting for the others. He sipped his coffee, patiently passing the time. After about 39 minutes, Lykan noticed K10 running towards him, a look of happiness on the robotic dog's face. Lykan was relieved to see that K10 was intact, except for its gun.
Just then, Yamada, Vex, Rahika, Hammer, and Thyroid emerged from the building facility. The scientist and doctor were in handcuffs, being escorted by soldiers to their cells. To Lykan's relief, the vessel was in good shape, safe and sound. A smile spread across his face, but his joy was short-lived. Suddenly, Vex, Hammer, and Thyroid recognized what Lykan had done outside. Their expressions turned grim as they summoned their weapons, ready to attack. Lykan's heart sank, realizing that his actions had angered them. He pleaded for forgiveness, desperately requesting someone to intervene and calm them down, but to no avail. The rest of the crew members simply laughed at the spectacle.
In a panic, Lykan sprinted away, agilely dodging every bullet, magic, and weapon aimed at him. He maneuvered through the chaos, slicing through the air with precision, miraculously avoiding any harm. He continued to plead for forgiveness, but his pleas fell on deaf ears. The crew members found amusement in his distress, causing Lykan to let out a high-pitched scream, adding to the chaos and laughter that surrounded him.
As things calmed down a bit, Yamada commanded them to stop, and they listened to him, although they were still mad at Lykan. As they boarded the Mothership, some ships and soldiers remained to inspect the laboratory in Saturn, looking for more items and chaotic experiments. Lykan went to the captain's lobby for the interrogation of the scientist and doctor, with the vessel by their side, discussing what to do with the two.
Lykan's POV:
Entering the room, I was greeted by a chorus of handshakes from the soldiers, praising our successful mission in eliminating Krakatoas Serwenga. The creature had been aboard the other ship, and our scientists had wasted no time in investigating and observing it. As I made my way further into the room, I received an unexpected smack to the head, causing a sharp pang of pain. Truth be told, it was my own fault.
Vex: "Next time, give us a heads-up before making such a chaotic move. Look at the bandage on my head." She pointed to her own head, while I sheepishly scratched mine.
Yamada: "That's enough, you two. We all acknowledge the damage Lykan caused, but we're grateful we managed to apprehend two individuals with the help of the vessel. They appear to be half-human and half-animal, much like the Kitsune." He gestured towards the object.
Vex: "What do we do with them now?"
Lykan: "I recommend not imprisoning them, but rather allowing them to join our team. They were mere clones and had no control over their actions. Subjected to repeated cloning, they were denied the rest they needed. It's as if they were resurrected through the process of cloning." Yamada and Vex were taken aback by my words.
Yamada: "So, they were telling the truth all along."
Vex: "Yeah, it's hard to believe." Then, she caught something from what I had said. "And also, are you out of your mind? You want to let these two join our group? That's ridiculous, isn't it, Sir Yamada?"
Yamada: "It's true, but Lykan has a point. We can extract valuable information from them and acquire new weapons and equipment, strengthening our offensive and defensive capabilities." I couldn't help but smile at his words. "However, we need to ensure we can trust them to some extent. Let's loosen up a bit."
Lykan: "Have they revealed their names yet?"
Vex: "Their names are Carl and Nile." She glanced at the two individuals in the interrogation room.
Yamada: "Lykan, if they betray us, it will be on your shoulders. I'll prepare a contract to address this situation, and it will be in your hands." As he left, we both made our way to the Overlord Lobby, the ship's control port. However, he suddenly remembered something. "And don't forget about the report you caused!" He yelled from a distance.
I shook my head in embarrassment, feeling my face pale as I glanced at Vex, who was giggling beside me. I raised an eyebrow at her, but she simply shrugged, clearly amused by my foolish actions. Taking a deep breath, I stepped into the interrogation room, with Vex closely following behind. As I approached the vessel, I noticed movement from within. My heart skipped a beat as I quickly checked for vital signs, relieved to see signs of life. It was then that Carl, the scientist, and Nile, the doctor, spoke up.
Nile: "You we're concerned that he wouldn't survive, Lykan. But don't worry, his regenerative abilities will keep him alive." I took a seat at the table in front of them, attempting to calm my racing thoughts. Just then, a guard entered the room, pushing a trolley filled with various food items. Carl glanced at it and spoke up.
Carl: "I'd prefer a cup of tea with some biscuits." The guard nodded and began to comply, but I intervened with a commanding hand gesture. "Hold on a moment, why?"
I stood up, swiftly grabbed the key, and unlocked their handcuffs, freeing them from their restraints. Carl and Nile rubbed their wrists in relief, while both the guard and Vex looked on in shock. Vex couldn't contain her astonishment and exclaimed.
Vex: "Are you out of your mind, Lykan? I'm going to report this to Yamada!" She stormed out of the room, leaving me with a heavy sigh, mirrored by the guard.
With lingering disbelief filling the air, I decided to momentarily set aside the tension. Walking over to the food trolley, I began preparing a cup of steaming hot milk chocolate and grabbed a handful of biscuits. Settling back into my seat, I looked at Carl and Nile.
Lykan: "Please, feel free to eat," I said, gesturing towards the food.
Carl couldn't help but voice his concerns, standing up and leaning on the table.
Carl: "Why did you do that? You're going to get in trouble for this." His worry was evident in his voice and expression.
Lykan: "Don't worry, you two old folks. Just because I'm 16 doesn't mean I'll act recklessly. Besides, it's my responsibility to look out for you. Age doesn't define trustworthiness." They both sighed, finally relenting, and took their seats again. Nile, seizing the opportunity, grabbed a cup of tea, leaving Carl's jaw dropping in disbelief.
Carl: "Really, Nile? Really?" Nile simply shrugged and took a satisfying sip.
Nile: "What can I say? I was thirsty, and I haven't had a proper tea break since the laboratory was destroyed." Carl's initial shock transformed into a resigned acceptance, and he followed suit by making himself a cup of coffee and grabbing a donut. "Now we can finally take a moment to rest."
Laughter erupted from me at the sight of the two individuals, but our mirth was abruptly interrupted by the arrival of K10, the robot dog. It entered the room with a list board clutched in its mouth, visibly concerned about Vex's temperament.
K10: "What's the matter with Vex? Why is she so temperamental?" it inquired, taking a seat beside me and casting a wary glance at the now-unhandcuffed duo, triggering a red alert growl.
Lykan: "Relax, K10. I'm the one who released them from their handcuffs, and they pose no threat," I reassured the robotic canine. I reached out and retrieved the list board from its mouth. "What have you brought me here?" I asked, examining the contents of the list board.
K10: "These are the results of the Krakatoas Serwengas experiment. They unveiled the existence of deceased beings, while the surviving ones proved to be challenging sources of fresh blood. Even the scientists required assistance in handling these formidable creatures," K10 explained, its gaze shifting towards the vessel. "So, what exactly is the purpose of reviving this entity?" it inquired, directing its question to the two individuals.
Carl: "First of all, you robo pooch." This remark made K10 growl. "I mean Robo Hound, what you're looking at is a Beast-Kin from another galaxy or the Milky Way. He's from the Viking's Era and was found torn into pieces, wearing villagers' clothing. We also found this necklace filled with teeth and claws on him." He showed us the necklace. "Pretty amazing, right? But I still feel sorry for him." He returned the necklace to his pocket. "The reason we revived him is that he was too young to die, unable to experience the world. We also sensed that he was born without powers, unlike us and even you, Lykan. Don't even ask how we know that. You simply received your powers from your grandfather, and it's quite rare for him not to have inherited any powers from his original bloodline." I was even more shocked by their knowledge of my powers and the fact that I didn't inherit any from my family, but rather received them from my grandpa.
Nile: "Despite that, of course, we feel ashamed. Why would a beast like him be kidnapped in the first place?" He pondered deeply.
Lykan: "No worries, it's not your fault. By the way, do you happen to have any information about these Krakatoas? I'm curious why they need to be so enormous, like blue whales or something. Is there a specific reason behind their size?" I gestured towards the list board, handing it to Carl and Nile.
Carl: "Well, there are a few crucial details you missed. Firstly, they possess an energy core located in their heart, which takes the form of a sphere. Secondly, they have implanted chips that help with their detection and tracking. Thirdly, they exclusively feed on nuclear waste for sustenance. And lastly, their skin is made of a chameleon-like material that has undergone extensive experimentation to reach its final state." Carl quickly jotted down the missing information.
Lykan: "Ah, that explains why my suit became radioactive. I never realized it before."
Nile: "The reason why they're so huge is actually due to a failed experiment. Initially, they tried placing a smaller version of the energy core in their heart, but it resulted in an explosion that caused them to be completely destroyed. The energy core couldn't handle the atomic reaction within it, leading to their disintegration. It took around 46 attempts and approximately 65 years of experimentation to finally get it right and create the Krakatoas as they are now. It was a challenging and arduous process for the scientists involved."
K10: "But how is it possible for these beasts to create wormholes?" The robotic hound diligently recorded their conversation.
Nile: "That remains unidentified, my robotic companion. As low-ranking individuals, we don't have permission to access those specific files. There are strict rules and regulations in place, even if you manage to disrupt their main power source, like we did with the Krakatoas. They can still survive as long as they consume nuclear waste. To make matters worse, we don't have the complete file on these creatures. They possess additional information that is hidden away. The facilities responsible for their creation are scattered throughout the galaxies, and these beasts have the ability to breach dimensional barriers. Whenever a scientist creates something significant, they ensure that the corresponding files are kept hidden. Unfortunately, we don't have access to those files. I've heard that the original creator suffered from brain damage and someone else took over, continuing the plan." Nile paused to take a sip of his tea. "Despite our efforts, we can't obtain the full extent of the information due to our policies aimed at protecting these inventions."
Lykan: "I understand the situation now, but what should we do about the Krakatoas?" I asked, massaging my temples in deep thought.
Nile: "My recommendation is to refrain from killing the remaining beast. They are still in the midst of their mutation phase, and it would be beneficial to observe their development. As for the deceased creature, we should investigate its blood, as it contains rare genetic mutations that could have significant implications over time," Nile explained, until he suddenly felt an urge in his lower abdomen. "Um, may I use your bathroom for a moment?"
K10: "Certainly, I will guide you to the nearest bathroom in the hallway," K10 replied, gracefully descending from its position and accompanying Nile to the bathroom.
As K10 escorted Nile to the bathroom, I turned my attention to Carl, who appeared lost in contemplation while gazing out into space. Curiosity got the better of me, and I approached him.
Lykan: "What's on your mind?" I inquired, bringing him back to the present.
Carl: "Oh, I was just pondering the situation of this unfortunate individual. I can't help but wonder about his reaction upon waking up. Will he comprehend our language? Coming from another world, he might exhibit distinct behaviors," Carl expressed, his curiosity and concern evident as he approached the vessel. "Establishing communication with him is crucial."
Lykan: "Indeed, it's uncertain how he will respond. We must exercise caution and allow him time to adapt. There's a possibility that he possesses a unique method of understanding or an undiscovered form of communication," I responded. Then, something caught my attention. "Speaking of unique creations, you mentioned that each scientist has their own invention. What have you created with him?"
Carl: "You're witnessing the vessel right now," he replied, a smile forming on his face in response to my question. He gestured towards the intricate contraption, revealing his involvement in its creation. I was astonished to learn that Carl had played a role in bringing the vessel to life. "As for the time until he wakes up, we estimate it to be around 47 minutes. Will it be a problem if the liquid inside spills onto the floor?"
Lykan: "You mean you created this Vessel? No way! This will be a great asset for our headquarters. And by the way, do you mind joining our squad? We can provide you with protection and numerous benefits," I said with a smile.
Carl: "I'm not sure about that. The word 'beneficial' seems to imply that we would be used as mere instruments," he replied, his tone changing.
Lykan: "Don't worry, the chance of dying in our team is low, about 2 percent. We would only utilize your skills in emergencies, and we will ensure your identity remains hidden and out of reach. What do you say?" I reached out my hand towards him.
Carl: "I'm not sure yet, but we will consider your offer. For now, let's focus on the vessel that is about to be revived," he responded, his gaze fixed on the vitals as they reached one hundred percent.
Lykan: "Agreed," I replied, taking a seat beside Carl. We patiently waited for approximately 47 minutes until K10 and Nile returned. "Took you a while to find the restroom?" I teased, causing K10 and Nile to exchange amused glances.
No one's POV
As the four of them engaged in conversation, K10 excused itself to deliver the information gathered during the interrogation. Making its way to the Scientist Lobby, K10 sent messages to the other ship and began working on operating the remains of the deceased Krakatoa, closely observing its condition. Meanwhile, the ship remained at a considerable distance from Jupiter.
Inside the vessel, an alert indicated that the person within was about to awaken. The liquid began to drain, filling the chamber with a dense mist. As the mist cleared, the three of them cautiously approached the vessel, their eyes fixed on the individual. With weak eyelids, the person stumbled before finally succumbing to the cold air, fainting on the ground. Reacting swiftly, Lykan called for the medic teams to attend to the situation.
Time passed, and the three of them found themselves waiting in a contamination room within the medic bay for the person to regain consciousness. Suddenly, a knock echoed on the metal door. Granting access, Yamada and Overlord entered the room, their presence both expected and welcomed.
Lykan's POV
As the leaders entered the room, I snapped to attention and saluted them, acknowledging their high-ranking positions. They quickly commanded me to stand down and observe from a distance. Yamada and Overlord immediately approached the individual who had been exposed to the cold, inspecting him closely. Their expressions revealed their curiosity and surprise, for they had never encountered a Beast-kin without any inherent powers before. It was a rare and extraordinary sight to behold. As I watched, I couldn't help but reflect on my own circumstances. Unlike this individual, I had never received any powers from my parents, but rather inherited them from my grandfather. Just as I was lost in my thoughts, Yamada cleared his throat, grabbing our attention.
Yamada: "Carl and Nile, your expertise in the matter makes you valuable assets to the scientific team. They are currently facing challenges in understanding this unique beast, especially its core, as you mentioned earlier," Yamada stated, acknowledging their knowledge. "Overlord will accompany you to the other ship where the operation will take place. Rest assured, the scientists there are friendly and will provide any necessary support."
Overlord: "Is there anything else you would like to share before we depart?" Turning to Carl and Nile, he asked. The two exchanged glances, and Carl reached into his pocket, retrieving a necklace and handing it to me. "Wow, this necklace is a remarkable piece of craftsmanship. Take care of it, Lykan, since they gave it to you," I remarked, admiring its rarity and beauty.
Carl: "It doesn't belong to us. Trust us, it belongs to this young individual, who appears to be around the same age as Lykan. However, we don't know much about him yet as he is still recovering from the cold," Carl explained, pointing towards Overlord. Overlord nodded in understanding, and the three of them proceeded towards the exit, leaving me alone with Yamada.
Yamada: "So, Lykan, when do you think this kid will wake up?" He glanced at the kid lying unconscious.
Lykan: "It depends on when he wakes up, sir. According to Carl and Nile, we are around the same age as him." I settled into a comfortable spot on a beanbag, making myself at ease.
Yamada: "I heard that you were the one who freed them from their handcuffs in the first place. Vex was complaining about it in the control lobby." I let out a sigh, knowing Vex's tendency to have a short temper and take on a leadership role.
Lykan: "Yes, I freed them. They didn't pose any threat, and apart from this necklace, there was nothing of significance on them." I looked at the necklace in my hand, appreciating its unique design.
Yamada: "Well, that's not important right now. We'll just have to wait for him to wake up." Yamada took a seat beside the unconscious individual, indicating that we would be patient.
At that moment, Katsuniko, Trinity, and Yuna entered the room. They possessed extraordinary abilities: Katsuniko, the Kitsune with mastery over Electric, Light, and Dark magic; Trinity, the formidable Void Fire Dragon; and Yuna, the Angelic bird with control over the Phoenix and Frezix elements. Their unexpected presence surprised us all, including Yamada.
Yamada: "Why are you three here? Can't you see we're on a mission? You should have waited at the base." Yamada scolded them, expressing his frustration at their untimely arrival.
Katsuniko: "We couldn't wait any longer. We finished our tasks early and wanted to have a vacation and spend time with our family. Here's the report." Katsuniko handed the report to Yamada. Meanwhile, Trinity noticed something intriguing.
Trinity: "Who is he? He seems to have many stitches. What happened to him?" Trinity approached the unconscious individual, examining his wounds with curiosity. Yuna and Katsuniko joined her, equally fascinated.
Lykan: "It's best not to ask such questions. It's quite disturbing. This person is like you three, possessing incredible abilities. However, unlike you, he doesn't have any powers. Just like me, I didn't inherit any powers from my parents, but my grandfather bestowed them upon me." The revelation surprised all three of them.
Yuna: "That can't be right. Beings like us should have powers from birth. This is wrong, all of a sudden?" She expressed her discontent.
Katsuniko: "Yeah, I agree with Yuna. It doesn't make sense." Katsuniko nodded in agreement, while Trinity shared the same sentiment.
Yamada: "That's because he's a Beast-Kin from another world. That's all the information you need. Now, go back to what you were doing and enjoy your vacation. You three rushed here unnecessarily." They felt dissatisfied with Yamada's response, as he seemed dismissive of their concerns. "Just go back!" Yamada raised his voice, urging them to leave the room. Reluctantly, the three beings exited the room, still disgruntled by Yamada's blunt dismissal.
Yamada: "now that's handle lets re. . . " until we heard a small grunt we look at the direction and it seemed the patient is woken up it look around for a bit until he put himself up but cant get up. "lay down for a sec kido you still in a pain in process, Nurse!" as he called out for nurse
: "Where am I?" he weakly responded. His eyes scanned the unfamiliar surroundings, settling on the life support and vital life check attached to his hand. "What is this? What are you doing to me?"
As the realization sank in that he hailed from the Viking's Era, as Carl and Nile had mentioned, I exchanged a glance with Yamada. Our shared bewilderment mirrored the questions swirling in our minds.
Yamada: "Those two weren't kidding. You really are from the Viking's Era," Yamada confirmed, his tone tinged with astonishment. Despite his weakened state, the patient struggled to free himself from the life support, prompting Yamada to intervene. "Hold on, kid. Don't remove those. They're crucial for keeping you alive."
: "Why did you bring me back to life? I should have peacefully passed away. Why?" Tears streamed down his face as he struggled to articulate his words, his voice filled with a mix of confusion and grief.
Yamada: "Look, kid, we know things are messed up. The reason you've been revived is because we need to hunt down this creature. If we don't hunt them down, the same fate awaits other galaxies. So we're asking you to rest and trust that everything will be okay. I understand that we come from different eras, but for now, please just rest and try to be normal." Yamada gently patted the kid's back, offering comfort and solace.
I couldn't help but feel a deep sense of empathy as I witnessed the pain and turmoil the kid was experiencing. Yamada's presence and reassurance seemed to calm him down, allowing him to regain his composure.
Yamada: "What's your name, kiddo?"
: "Humphrey, sir. I hail from Norheim, which is part of the Northern Group of Ragnarovia during the Viking Era. Specifically, from Ragval." He wiped away his tears and looked up, his voice filled with confusion. "Where am I?"
Yamada: "You're on Jupiter. This is a place where we serve and protect innocent beings who have rights." Yamada then turned to me and exclaimed, "Why are the nurses taking so long? Could you please go find them?"
Understanding the urgency, I nodded and quickly made my way to the door. As I opened it, a surprising sight greeted me. Katsuniko, Yuna, and Trinity were sprawled on the floor, reminiscent of a fallen Jenga tower. Both Yamada and I exchanged bewildered glances, trying to process what had just happened. Eventually, Yamada recognized the mischievous nature of the three girls, while Humphrey, sitting on the bed, looked utterly perplexed. Yamada raised his voice once more, prompting the three girls to hastily get back on their feet. However, their insatiable curiosity remained unyielding. It seemed that nothing could deter them from satisfying their inquisitive natures. Amidst the chaos they caused, seemingly overhearing our conversation and eager to engage with Humphrey, the patient became increasingly overwhelmed. His recovery was still in its early stages, and the commotion only served to heighten his discomfort. Leaving the room behind, I ventured into the hallway, determined to find the nurses or a doctor. Fortunately, luck was on my side, and I quickly located a healthcare professional. I urgently conveyed the message that Yamada required a nurse in the patient's room, explaining that Humphrey had regained consciousness.
Nurse: "His health is stable, and he's physically fine. However, the scars and bruises he sustained will be permanent. We also discovered that he is still traumatized from the event where he..." The nurse leaned closer to Yamada's ear and whispered, "was torn apart." Yamada nodded in understanding.
Yamada and the nurse left the room, leaving Humphrey and me alone in silence. The air felt heavy with unspoken words and unanswered questions. Humphrey remained quiet, his gaze fixed on the ceiling, his mind undoubtedly processing the profound impact the events had on his life. Sensing the need to break the silence, I spoke up.
Lykan: "Humphrey, I believe you've lost something during the process of your revival here." I reached into my pocket and pulled out a necklace, handing it to him. His eyes widened with surprise.
Humphrey: "Thank you... I guess," he replied hesitantly, still trying to process everything, including my name.
Lykan: "I'm Lykan, by the way. I apologize for not introducing myself earlier and for the chaotic scene you witnessed. It must have been overwhelming," I said, scratching my head. Seeing his confusion, I let out a sigh and offered a reassuring smile. "As for where you come from, it's best to take some time to rest and recover from your trauma. We can discuss it later when you're feeling more settled."
Humphrey: "You don't mind not knowing anything about me?" He tilted his head, a hint of curiosity in his voice.
Lykan: "No, that's not it at all. Our main concern is your well-being after the ordeal you've been through. Since you're alone in our world, I thought it might be a good idea for my dad to take you in temporarily. We're around the same age, and I believe you could use some protection. I even suggested we could become like brothers. But please, take your time to think it over."
Humphrey: "Hold on, that's quite an offer. Besides, I know nothing about your world." He pointed at the TV in front of him. "And what's that?"
Lykan: "That's a TV. It's a device that allows you to see various things, like wildlife in the air, sea, and land, as well as other forms of entertainment. It's a way to experience things without physically being there. Watch." I turned on the TV, and his eyes widened in amazement. "In your era, TVs didn't exist?"
Humphrey: "No, I worked as a scout and adventurer, helping others navigate terrains and jungles," he replied, shaking his head.
Lykan: "I hope you don't mind me asking, but were you born without any special abilities or powers?" I couldn't help but feel curious about Humphrey's situation, but as soon as the question left my lips, I noticed his discomfort. His ears flattened, and he averted his gaze. "Oops, I apologize for bringing it up."
Humphrey: "It's okay. In my own way, I considered myself a hero, protecting and guiding my Viking friends. Even though I've been revived in a different world, I can't help but feel a tinge of sadness about leaving everything behind."
Lykan: "Don't worry, we share the same pain. When I was 9, I discovered that I didn't possess any inherited powers from my parents. They trained me to some extent and provided me with temporary weapons and armor. Then, when I turned 15, my grandfather had his final moments, and... he bestowed upon me his katana and powers. It was the saddest moment of my life." I sighed, remembering the weight of that loss.
Humphrey: "Wow, I wish I had inherited some powers in my family. I've always been envious of them. As for me, I feel like a worthless being..." Before Humphrey could finish his sentence, I lightly slapped his cheek. "Ouch! Why did you do that? It hurts." He rubbed his cheek, clearly taken aback by the unexpected slap.
Lykan: "First of all, never say that. Secondly, you should be grateful that destiny and fate have given you a second chance at life. And thirdly, don't let the words of others define you. You are unique, and whether you hold a low or high rank, your true potential will not be hindered." I looked directly into Humphrey's eyes, speaking with conviction. "Look at me right now. Did I fall to my knees when I didn't have powers? No. Did I ask for any powers to live? No. Did I even ask to be this way? No. The point is, Humphrey, your family still cares about you for who you are. They don't expect you to be perfect or to become the best son. Look at my own family I have a sister who possesses powers, and even though she sometimes flaunts them, it doesn't bother me. My mom and dad support me unconditionally. I also have older siblings who are gay and lesbian. Did my parents show any disgust towards them? No. You see, Humphrey, my parents have open hearts, and that's why I'm letting you in. Don't be afraid to embrace this second chance and make your time worth living."
Humphrey didn't say anything but looked away.
Lykan: "Look, it's not that I'm lecturing you for not having any powers, but think about your family's feelings. Imagine that you're alive and they're waiting for you to come back. Forget those haters who really hate you and focus on the ones who support you. Do you have a family that really cares about you?"
Humphrey: "Yes."
Lykan: "Then make them proud. For now, you'll stay in our world until we manage to create a portal to visit your homeland." I stood up and got ready to leave the room. "Have a good rest. I'll wake you up once we get home. I'm going to call my mom and dad and explain the situation, hoping they understand."
Humphrey: "Thank you." As I closed the light and left him alone, I noticed something in the corner, but I shrugged it off.
No one's POV
As Lykan left Humphrey alone to rest, knowing he needed time to recover from the unknown trauma, he made a call to his family, informing them about the new family member who would be joining them. Little did Lykan know, there was someone eagerly waiting to either meet or disrupt Humphrey's sleep. However, their plans were halted when they received a scolding from Yamada, one of the three individuals accompanying them. Nevertheless, they quietly decided to follow Lykan and Humphrey home, hoping to avoid detection and continue their pursuit. After approximately seven hours of travel, they finally arrived at Jupiter. The ship accelerated its descent, preparing to land on the planet's surface.
Jupiter, once a desolate wasteland, had miraculously transformed into a vibrant green field brimming with wildlife. The trees and seas had brought life to Jupiter, showcasing a plethora of unique plants and wildlife unlike anything seen before. Even the notorious Eye of Jupiter, the storm that had plagued the planet, had calmed down, now reduced to a gentle breeze that no longer penetrated the buildings. The buildings here were different from the old world of Earth, representing a long history. However, there were still inhabitants receiving limited resources as it was now a peaceful era in the solar system.
As the ship descended peacefully, Lykan went to check on Humphrey. To his surprise, Humphrey was looking out the window with a priceless expression on his face, taking in the sights of Lykan's home. Giant ships, cars, trucks, floating buildings, and the headquarters of the UNDERWOLVES caught his attention. Humphrey looked at Lykan, who seemed to have brought some clothing, as Humphrey was still wearing his patient clothes. It would be embarrassing to bring him outside like that, so Lykan helped him put on the proper clothes. It was important not to let others see him dressed incorrectly, considering he came from a different time and generation. Lykan then guided Humphrey to the headquarters since he was unfamiliar with the surroundings.
As they left the spaceship, some of the crew members noticed the new person with a tail and ears, especially the half-beast humans who were eager to meet him. They had heard about him through gossip, likely fueled by the stories of the three girls. As the entire crew entered the headquarters and made their way to the meeting stadium, Lykan spotted Carl and Nile and recommended that they sit together, as he was responsible for looking out for them. As the four of them found a seat, Lykan introduced Humphrey to Carl and Nile, the ones who had revived him. They exchanged handshakes and greetings.
Suddenly, a speaker testing its microphone made an announcement that there would be major changes to the leadership board. It came as a surprise to everyone when it was revealed that Yamada would be the new leader. The crowd erupted in applause and whistles, acknowledging Yamada's high performance and actions. The old leaders had chosen him as the next leader of UNDERWOLVES. This was a big responsibility for Yamada, as the leadership position held great importance. As everyone cheered, the announcer requested Yamada to come to the front. With mixed reactions, Yamada made his way to the stage and delivered a heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude and excitement for the new role. The crowd cheered once again, welcoming him as the new leader of the headquarters.
While all of this was happening, they sat at the back, whistling and clapping for Yamada's achievement. I noticed that Humphrey seemed disturbed, likely due to the attention he was receiving from the rumors and gossip. So, I excused the four of us and led them to my office, where they could feel more comfortable and have some privacy.
Lykan's POV
I brought Humphrey to my office to provide a calm and settled environment for him while we waited for my family to pick him up. It was overwhelming for him, considering everything he had experienced and his current state of recovery. Just as we settled in, there was a knock on the door, and to my surprise, it was the girls again, driven by their mischievous and curious nature, fueled by the wildfire of gossip surrounding Humphrey.
Lykan: "Oh, look who's here for the gossip. It seems your curiosity knows no bounds, and I apologize if I seem harsh. Do you have any idea the kind of mess you've created? It's making the newcomer feel even more unsettled, trying to figure out what's happening."
Yuna: "Look, we're sorry, okay? We can't help but be curious. Don't blame us entirely." Her words were met with agreements from the other two. I let out a sigh, realizing that their intentions weren't entirely malicious.
Trinity: "Come on, give us a chance. We'll leave him alone once we're done interviewing him. We've never encountered a single bloodline wolf before, and it piques our interest." She attempted to peek inside the room, but I closed the door, causing her to whine. "No fair! How come the guys get everything while us girls don't?"
Katsuniko: "Please, Lykan, it'll be quick, we promise. Even our families are aware of it." Her words made me place both hands on my face, feeling exasperated. "Is it really a bad thing if my parents find out?"
Lykan: "Yes! Sharing this information will only cause more chaos. Humphrey is still new to this planet, and it's my responsibility to look out for him, especially since he's from another world. Why did you have to do this?"
Katsuniko: "Because curiosity feeds the vixen." Her response only exacerbated the situation, reminding me of their childish nature.
Lykan: "Oh my God! For the love of my sake..." I was about to express my frustration, but before I could say anything, Carl grabbed my shoulder.
Carl: "Give the girls a chance to talk to Humphrey. They belong to the same species, even though they're different. It will help Humphrey feel more comfortable living here." His words made me start a small argument with Carl.
Lykan: "I cannot do that. Yamada will definitely kill me for this," I said, mentioning Yamada's name, indicating the potential consequences.
Nile: "Trust me, Lykan. You won't regret what Carl is suggesting." Before I could respond, Carl whispered something in my ear, and to my surprise, Nile was aware of it too. "Do you trust him now?" I let out a sigh, realizing that there might be some merit to their idea.
Lykan: "Fine, you win," I said, conceding to their request. I looked at the eager girls who were waiting to meet Humphrey. "Alright, come in and see him."
As I opened the door, they rushed inside with eager anticipation to meet Humphrey. Their sudden entrance startled him, causing him to lean back in the chair and nearly lose his balance.
The girls crowded around him, getting too close, and it was evident that he was feeling overwhelmed. They bombarded him with a barrage of questions, leaving Humphrey unsure of how to navigate the situation. He remained silent, unsure of how to respond.
Eventually, the girls noticed the impact of their actions and realized they had unintentionally silenced him. Ashamed of their behavior, they understood the need to approach things more gently. They took a step back, allowing Humphrey some space to breathe. With a newfound sense of consideration, they introduced themselves, exchanged names, and offered friendly greetings.
As things cooled down a bit for Humphrey, one of the girls asked a question.
Katsuniko: "So you lived in the Vikings, Knight, Samurai, and Witch Era?" she asked in a soft voice, her eyes filled with curiosity. Humphrey nodded in response, his ears folding back slightly as he heard a squeal from the girls. He became a bit cautious, observing them from the corner of his eye.
Yuna: "I've always wondered what the clothes looked like, especially those worn by queens, kings, princes, and princesses," she mused, her imagination running wild with visions of regal attire.
Trinity: "And let's not forget about the crowns, bracelets, rings, and, oh, the tiaras!" she exclaimed excitedly, her mind conjuring images of dazzling royal accessories.
Katsuniko: "So, what powers do you possess?" Her question struck a nerve, and I winced inwardly. Why did she have to ask that? Humphrey remained silent, averting his gaze, and she quickly realized her mistake. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring that up."
Humphrey: "It's alright. I understand you didn't mean any harm. Besides, as an Omega in this era, I don't possess any powers." He tried to reassure her.
Intrigued by the conversation, I moved a little closer to Humphrey, giving him some space.
Lykan: "What does it mean to be an Omega, Humphrey?" I intervened, steering the conversation away from powers.
Humphrey took a moment to gather his thoughts, his eyes scanning the room as if in search of the perfect words.
Humphrey: "Omegas are one of the ranks within our Beast-Kin community. In our Village, warriors hold ranks like Alpha, Zeta, and Delta. However, those who work as farmers, contribute as Scouts to the land or sea, or fulfill other important roles are categorized as Omegas, Gammas, or Betas." He explained, and the four of us exchanged meaningful glances.
Curiosity filled the air as we absorbed this new information, each of us contemplating the significance of these ranks.
Lykan: "So, does that mean Omegas, Betas, and Gammas don't have any powers?"
Humphrey: "Not necessarily. While I, as an Omega, don't possess any powers, some individuals within those ranks do have unique abilities. However, it's important to note that not everyone within those ranks has powers. Many Omegas, Betas, and Gammas contribute to our community as farmers, fishermen, or in other vital roles without possessing extraordinary abilities." The room fell silent for a moment as we allowed Humphrey's words to sink in. It served as a reminder that appearances and labels didn't always define one's potential.
Lykan: "Are you kidding me?" I exclaimed, unable to believe what I was hearing, as Humphrey shook his head in response.
Humphrey sighed softly, contemplating whether to delve into the details of his past. Finally, he decided to open up a little more.
Humphrey: "No, I'm being sincere. Surprisingly, being an Omega turned out to be a perfect fit for me. In that era, my role involved serving as a scout for the Alphas, diligently charting their paths and mapping unexplored territories. I wholeheartedly embraced the responsibility and found immense satisfaction in the adventurous nature of the role."
Yuna, captivated by his statement, couldn't resist interrupting with a question.
Yuna: "How did it work out so well for you?" she asked, her curiosity piqued. Humphrey paused, contemplating how best to convey his perspective.
Humphrey: "Well, when encountering different Beast-kin, such as the feathers or other Kingdoms' scouts or Omegas, we would collaborate and share maps. I distinctly recall an encounter with another Omega, a Feathered Beast-Kin who possessed the extraordinary ability to fly. We started exchanging details and information, pooling our knowledge for mapping purposes." He shrugged, realizing that he had revealed as much as he felt comfortable sharing. "That's all I can disclose, if you don't mind. I'd rather avoid discussing the more challenging aspects of my experiences."
Trinity: "Fair enough. Since you're new here, I can be your tour guide around town. How about that?" She turned around, noticing the other girls coughing. "Actually, all three of us can show you around."
Humphrey: "I'll consider it. Right now, I need to acquaint myself with this new world. Coming from a different era, the Viking's Era, I have much to learn. By the way, what's the name of this planet again? Um... Jupiter?" He glanced up, his left ear folding slightly.
Humphrey: "Yes, Humphrey. And oh boy, this will be quite the challenge."
Katsuniko: "Well, at least he's an interesting visitor from our planet, after all." I watch her tail wag enthusiastically, as if this heralds a new and exciting chapter with my newly adopted brother. "Feel free to reach out if you need any help showing him around or teaching him about our planet. We want to avoid any misunderstandings or issues due to cultural differences." The three girls nod in agreement, but as for me...
Lykan: "Let me think about it. How about this - no?" I cross my arms, wearing a playful smile, and their expressions shift accordingly.
Yuna: "Oh, come on!" She protests with a laugh, and us guys chuckle along.
Lykan: "Alright, it's a deal. You'll help me teach Humphrey about our culture and get him up to speed on our reading requirements." My words bring a sense of joy to the room.
Humphrey: "Will any of this have an impact on me as I learn about your world?" We all share a laugh at Humphrey's curiosity and anticipation of diving into our culture.
Trinity: "Believe us, our world is a place where happiness and sadness coexist, offering a diverse range of experiences." She leans in closer to Humphrey, who raises an eyebrow, intrigued but not entirely grasping the body language.
Lykan: "If we're going to agree on teaching Humphrey, let's put aside those kinds of attitudes, you three girls, and that's final." I glance away from the girls, who respond with disapproving looks.
No one's POV
As time passed, the three girls concluded their interview and observations of Humphrey and bid their farewells. Unbeknownst to them, Lykan caught a glimpse of Katsuniko winking at Humphrey, a subtle gesture that went unnoticed by the other girls. Humphrey, filled with curiosity, tilted his head in confusion. Fortunately, Humphrey's lack of understanding regarding Jupiter's body language spared him from misinterpreting the situation.
Meanwhile, Carl and Nile decided to go their separate ways to find an apartment for themselves. Luckily, the Headquarters research facility had a spare room available, which would serve as their temporary residence. Engrossed in their task, Carl and Nile focused on securing the apartment while Lykan and Humphrey patiently waited for Lykan's father to arrive and pick them up.
Humphrey's curiosity got the best of him, and he couldn't resist asking about their mode of transportation. Lykan's response left him in awe - they would be boarding a spaceship. Just as Humphrey sought clarification, Lykan pointed towards a magnificent sight that left Humphrey jaw-dropped. It was the Normady SR2 ME, a frigate reminiscent of the iconic ships from the Mass Effect game series. Its sleek design and grandeur captivated Humphrey's imagination.
As Lykan's father arrived, he warmly embraced Lykan, with Humphrey observing the touching moment. Sensing Humphrey's presence, Lykan's father extended a warm welcome and invited him aboard the ship. Carefully, Humphrey stepped through the side door of the Normandy SR2, feeling a mix of excitement and trepidation as he embarked on this new experience. Kindly, Lykan suggested that Humphrey take a seat next to the window for a more comfortable and enjoyable ride.
As the ship lifted off, the engines humming with power, they left the headquarters behind and set course for their home. Excitement filled the air as they approached a special day - the birthday celebration of Lykan's older brother, eagerly awaited by their family members. Silence enveloped the ship, allowing the occupants to reflect on the events of the day. Lykan's father, known as Akhalos, introduced himself to Humphrey, bridging the gap of familiarity between them.
Lykan's POV
Akhalos: "So you're Humphrey, the one my son mentioned." Humphrey looked at me, and we exchanged glances while my dad observed us. "Don't worry, Humphrey. We welcome you as a new member of our family, and it's also Lykan's brother's birthday today."
Humphrey: "Yes, sir. I come from a distant Viking's era, and I'm still struggling to adapt to your home, especially considering how vast this world is."
Akhalos: "That's alright. We understand the challenges you face. But for now, let's celebrate my other son's birthday and your arrival." Switching the spaceship to autopilot, he headed to the kitchen and returned with snacks and drinks, handing some to both me and Humphrey. "Here, have some chips and a bottle of drink."
Humphrey: "Um, sir, I'm not familiar with how to open this. I lack the knowledge since my era differs greatly from yours." Hesitant to accept the snacks, he expressed his uncertainty.
Lykan: "Don't worry, Humphrey. I'll guide you. Just follow my lead." Humphrey took the snacks and the bottle. "Now, watch how I do it." Carefully opening the bag of chips, I demonstrated the process, and he followed suit. Next, I opened the bottle, showing him the technique, and he successfully did it without spilling a drop. "See? You're getting the hang of it."
Akhalos: "Hey, Humphrey, look out the window." Humphrey turned his gaze towards the window, filled with amazement at the breathtaking sight before him a vast expanse of lush islands and sparkling seas, like a paradise he had never seen before. "Hold on to your snacks," Akhalos advised. Swiftly raising the ship's elevation and engaging full throttle, we embarked on our journey into outer space. Overwhelmed by fear, Humphrey tightly closed his eyes. "Um, Humphrey, you might want to open your eyes now."
Humphrey: "I can't. It's too much," Humphrey responded, his tail fluffing up in fear, resembling a cat hiding its head. While the snacks slipped from his grasp, his soda bottle remained intact.
Lykan: "Just open your eyes, Humphrey, and trust us. Look through the window," I reassured him. Humphrey cautiously opened his eyes slightly, and his reaction was priceless.
Humphrey: "Wow," he whispered in awe. Hovering at the top of Jupiter's atmosphere, we witnessed a mesmerizing view. From this vantage point, half of our world was immersed in darkness, illuminated by a tapestry of shimmering lights in Jupiter's nighttime. In contrast, during the day, we beheld our planet in its true colors of vibrant blues and greens. "This is unbelievable! How do you possess the power to create such an extraordinary machine? It's insane. In our world, we are limited to waterwheel, wagons, windmill, ballista, crossbow, and catapult." He sat there, captivated by the sight before him.
Akhalos: "Now let's descend back home before the birthday boy gets suspicious about why we're taking too long. We have so many groceries that your mother requested, and boy, there were so many. Your Auntie and Uncle are home as well." Throttling the ship, we began our descent to Jupiter's atmosphere.
No one's POV:
As the three descended on their way home, Humphrey was greeted by a vast mansion nestled amidst a sprawling field. The sight of the grand house and unfamiliar inventions left him in awe and curiosity, as he was unfamiliar with such technology. Akhalos skillfully parked his spaceship, while Lykan took charge of carrying the groceries, carefully placing them in case bags. Both Lykan and Akhalos carried two bags each. Lykan then requested Humphrey to carry his weapon, as it would be easier for him to handle the katana blade in their bag.
As the crowd of visitors who had come to celebrate Lykan's brother's birthday observed Humphrey carrying Lykan's weapon, their curiosity was piqued about Lykan's new friend. Once the groceries were safely set down, Lykan suggested that Humphrey take some time to relax in his room, wanting to spare him from being the center of attention and to avoid any potential trouble.
Boarding a hovering platform, the two friends made their way to the other side of the mansion, where additional rooms for family members were located, including Lykan's own room. It was during this journey that they unexpectedly crossed paths with Lykan's mother, Samantha, Auntie Carolina, and Uncle Aamon. The family warmly embraced Lykan, and their attention soon turned to the new addition to the family, Humphrey.
Lykan's POV
Lykan: "Anyway, Mom, I'd like you to meet Humphrey. He's the one I was telling you about, the person I'll be looking after now." I introduced Humphrey to my mom, and she began to observe him curiously.
Samantha: "Well, he doesn't seem like a threat at all. Welcome to the family, Humphrey. If you're hungry, there's plenty of food and snacks in the kitchen. Help yourself." She gestured towards the kitchen before excusing herself.
Aamon: "So, this is the guy without any powers, huh? Well, that's about to change. Lykan, guide him to the backyard tomorrow. I have something special planned for his training." A mischievous smile played on my uncle's face as he spoke. "But for now, Humphrey, take some rest. Don't worry, I'll be your coach for the day."
Lykan: "Uncle Aamon, Humphrey is new to our world. We can't rush into intense training right away. He needs to learn the basics and get familiar with our customs first. It's my responsibility to ensure his well-being." I voiced my concern, but my uncle simply chuckled.
Aamon: "Oh, Lykan, you always worry too much, just like your father. Humphrey needs to learn how to defend himself, and I have a good idea of the power he possesses: Brutality Reinforcement Strength." My uncle's words surprised Humphrey, his expression turning into a mix of shock and disbelief.
Humphrey: "Sir, I appreciate your intentions, but it's hard for me to accept such a tremendous responsibility. Why are you all being so kind to me? It doesn't make sense." Humphrey voiced his doubts, but my aunt intervened, calming him down.
Carolina: "Humphrey, please trust us. We're not being kind out of obligation or suspicion. We genuinely want to help you and ensure your well-being. We understand your fears and the past trauma you've endured. Besides, did you ever dream of becoming a hero?" Humphrey remained silent, his gaze fixed on the ground, processing my aunt's words. "Let this be your chance to embrace your potential. Don't let it go to waste. Remember, you only live once, so make the most of this opportunity and the incredible experiences that await you."
Humphrey: "I'm not entirely sure, ma'am, but Lykan, what do you think? Do you believe I have what it takes?"
Lykan: "Humphrey, the decision is yours to make. It's about embracing the unknown and having faith in your own abilities. What's your choice?" I looked at him, as well as my aunt and uncle, curious to hear his response.
Humphrey: "You know what? I've spent so long feeling like the odd one out, the one without any powers. But if this opportunity can help me discover my hidden strengths, then I'm willing to give it a try. I'm ready to step out of my comfort zone and face the challenges ahead!" A newfound determination shone in his eyes, and his tail wagged with excitement.
Aamon: "That's the spirit, Humphrey! Tomorrow, in the mid-afternoon, we'll start your training. But for now, let's enjoy the birthday celebration for Lykan's brother, Vic." With those words, my uncle and aunt left us alone, allowing Humphrey and me to head into my room.
As we approached the door, Humphrey and I entered the security codes, signaling our need for privacy. This time, I would have a roommate. Humphrey carefully placed my sword and longbow in the corner before his gaze wandered over the framed photos on the walls. Seeing his genuine curiosity, I couldn't help but smile.
Lykan: "Isn't it amazing to have these memories captured forever?" I joined him by the photos, reminiscing as I gazed at each frame.
Humphrey: "Yeah, what are these? They seem to freeze real moments, and you're always smiling in them." His innocent wonder brought forth a giggle from me. "What exactly are they?"
Lykan: "These are picture frames, Humphrey. They hold and preserve our most cherished memories, allowing us to revisit them whenever we want."
Humphrey: "I wish we had such an invention in our era. It's truly remarkable." He continued to study the photos, a sense of longing in his gaze. "By the way, do you mind if I sleep here? I can ask for another room if needed."
Lykan: "No need to worry, Humphrey. You'll be sleeping on the spare bed in my room. Just wait a moment." I went to a corner and made a small adjustment, revealing a comfortable swing bed-like structure. "Here we go. These will be our beds. I personally prefer the one that moves, but you can choose which one you like."
Humphrey: "Well, I'm not sure. I'll go with your second choice." He smiled, grateful for the accommodation.
Lykan: "Great, go on and give it a try. It's as comfy as sleeping on clouds," I encouraged Humphrey, gesturing towards the swing bed. He looked at me hesitantly before finally giving it a shot. Slowly, he lay down on it, and to my amusement, he started to spin around and stretch, even wagging his tail in delight. It was a joyous sight that made me burst into laughter.
Humphrey: "You were right, Lykan! This is incredible! It feels like I'm floating!" He continued to sway on the swing bed, enjoying the unique experience. "Thanks for showing me this."
Lykan: "anyway brother lets head outside and enjoy the party and enjoy some feast" as I said Humphrey got on his feet and followed me.
As we headed outside, Humphrey couldn't help but ask numerous questions about the things and cultures in our world. It was evident that he was gaining new knowledge about our world, but there was still much more for him to discover.
Suddenly, we were enveloped by the loud music from a concert nearby. I found myself questioning why they had chosen to have a concert, especially for my big brother's singing. However, what amused me was Humphrey's reaction—he immediately sought refuge on my back, covering his ears and trembling, with his tail tucked between his legs.
I couldn't help but chuckle as I explained the concept of a concert to him, and soon he began to understand. His curiosity grew even further as we ventured outside, with the crowd casting glances in Humphrey's direction, sparking whispers and gossip about his appearance. Despite the attention, I saw it as an opportunity to help him conquer his fears and anxieties.
Just then, my big brother Vic and sister Zara, along with my same-age sister Lolita, approached us, eager to check in on me and our newest family member.
Vic: "So this is the new family member! What a unique addition. I've always wanted to have a brother with a tail. My name is Vic, by the way." He reached his hand out for a handshake.
Zara: "Nice to meet you. I'm Zara," she said as she extended her hand.
Lolita: "You can call me Lolita," she added, also offering her hand to shake.
Until we heard the strumming of guitars and the beating of drums, the five of us fixated our gaze on the stage, anticipation growing within us.
Vic, effortlessly harnessing his shadow powers, teleported through the crowd, evading their curious glances. My sister, gifted with electric powers, propelled herself into the air, captivating the audience with her electrifying performance.
The occasion was none other than my big brother's birthday, and as Vic rallied the crowd with his commanding voice, their resounding cheers echoed through the air, creating an atmosphere charged with excitement. Meanwhile, my talented sister expertly strummed the electric guitar, unleashing a wave of energetic melodies.
Recognizing the responsibility my siblings had assumed in entertaining the guests, the three of us decided to take a step back, allowing them to shine in the spotlight.
We set off to find our parents, who we discovered were at the Greenhouse along with our Uncle, Aunt, and other family members, including our cousins. Upon entering the Greenhouse, I realized that Humphrey, our newest family member, would be bombarded with a flurry of questions. As I swung open the door, the eyes of our parents, Aunt, Uncle, and cousins turned towards us.
To our surprise, nestled beside me was Humphrey, caught in the attention of our cousins. Inquisitive as they were, they bombarded him with an overwhelming barrage of questions. However, Aunt and Uncle swiftly intervened, recognizing the need to give Humphrey some respite from the onslaught.
Yet, amidst the commotion, Humphrey felt a gentle pull on his tail. Turning around, he discovered a slumbering baby, tightly gripping his tail. A tender smile graced his face, and he opted to remain still, not wishing to disturb the baby's peaceful sleep. The rest of our family watched in awe as this heartwarming scene unfolded.
Lykan: "So, Humphrey, have you decided to stay here for a while until we find a way to get you back home?" I looked at the baby who was still attached to Humphrey's tail, and he smiled in return. "What's your answer?"
Humphrey: "I'm not sure, Lykan. The love and care you have shown me have had a profound effect on me. I feel a strong desire to stay and be a part of this new family. I don't want to leave." I patted his back gently. "Additionally, I believe my parents back on my home planet are worried about me, even though they didn't have my body for a burial."
Lykan: "Humphrey, we truly care about you and fully accept you as part of our family. If you decide to stay, we will stand by you with unwavering support. We'll also collaborate to find a way to reassure your parents and let them know you're safe and loved. Remember, Humphrey, we're here for you every step of the way."
Humphrey: "Thank you," He replied, a tear glistening in his eye. Suddenly, Aamon approached and gently patted Humphrey's back, offering comfort. "Oh, I didn't notice you there, Sir."
Aamon: "Don't call me sir, Humphrey. Just Uncle. Got it, nephew? And don't forget, we have a training session tomorrow. Be ready." He gestured towards the kitchen with a smile, indicating that I should meet him tomorrow.

The vibrant party continued in full swing, with family members bringing trays of delectable food to the greenhouse. Among them were the birthday boy and Zara, their presence evoking a bright smile from Humphrey. He and Lykan remained comfortably seated, mindful of the baby peacefully slumbering on Humphrey's tail. The festivities had been a tremendous success, filling the air with joyous energy.
Amidst the revelry, Vic approached Humphrey, his hands carrying a plate adorned with tempting dishes. Curiosity danced in Vic's eyes as he asked why Humphrey couldn't stand up. With a warm chuckle, Humphrey explained the unexpected reason—a baby clinging to his tail. Vic's surprise bloomed into a mixture of amusement and awe, his mind conjuring vivid images of the endearing sight.
Intrigued by the commotion, Zara joined the gathering, her eyes widening as she too absorbed the delightful scene. Laughter echoed through the greenhouse, blending with the music and celebration. Humphrey and Lykan shared in the mirth, appreciating the lightheartedness of the moment.
As the laughter subsided, a sense of renewed hope washed over Humphrey. Amidst the festivities, he silently offered prayers, his heart filled with a deep love for his family and friends. In his thoughts, he especially held a tender concern for the well-being and safety of the Princess on his home world, their futures intertwined with his own. With a renewed sense of purpose, Humphrey embraced this new chapter of his life, grateful for the love and support that surrounded him.
