OK, so, current situation: I'm on a beach, wet, and seem to be glowing like a jellyfish. What the fuck. Why the hell am I wearing Namielle gamma armor, and why the hell does it not feel like armor!?

Alright, calm down, let's recap. First, I was working my night job after classes as a janitor at my old high school. Hours suck, but state pay is good pay. I was preparing to start my next classroom in my hallway, opening the door and stepping in. Only I didn't step in; I fell in. I don't know; all I can understand is that I enter as a janitor and exit as a glowing emo with jellyfish wings cause, yeah, I have those, and I don't know what to do with them. They are currently just limp against the sand.

Back on track, though I didn't fall more than I just was. One moment in the school, the next I was in the water of what I assume is the ocean, the only light from the underside of my wings and the frills of my armor, or is it skin? Does it even matter? Is it even safe? Who knows, I certainly don't, and I'm not really in the position to care. Back to past me in the water, whether it was instinct or some deity determined not to let me die before I had fulfilled my grand and most likely bothersome task, I could use my wings to catch a current or two to the surface. Once I had breached the water, it was nice to see the midday sun in the sky and a shore off to my left.

Once I was to the surface and not freaking out over the fact that the entire time I was down in the water, I didn't hold my breath once. I plotted my route to solid ground. I could not find another current that led me there, forcing me to learn once again how to swim. Let me tell you this: it's pretty demeaning to have to learn to swim again after basically being born in a pool. But honestly, once I started to think of my wings as just an extra large pair of hands and mimicked the motion of scooping at the water, I shot forward remarkably fast to the point where I was propelled just by my wings alone. My body would twist and turn with the water in the path of least resistance formed by my forward momentum until I had dragged my sorry ass onto the beach. Wreckage littered the beach from end to end which hopefully contained something for me to use later on. But yeah now here we are all caught up and still confused as hell and glowing can't forget the glowing. It's gonna be a pain to sleep when you're a living LED.

Okay, now the first thing I need to do is salvage anything that I could use a mirror. Working my way down the short half of the beach from where I was originally was going from wreckage to wreckage no matter how small. Checking barrels, boxes, chests and trunks I was able to find myself a mirror in the form of a canteen. Thankfully it's a fully metal exterior with enough shine left for me to make out my face. Yep just as I said before Namielle gamma armor. The Violet glow replaces the normal light blue glow while the dark blue replaces the orange found on the alpha version. I try to pull off the hood that comes with the armor and I end up yanking my entire head back. Ok, so what now I'm in this new world while at the same time I have somehow become a dragon? Am I even a dragon or am I just this out of place hybrid? First order of business is to figure out food which most likely consists of seafood… Do I even have a mouth?

I try to open my mouth and discover somewhere in the ink hole of my hood I do have a mouth full of rows of conical needle-like teeth. Can with that the iron doors to partial humanity close shut. Now mentally I'm absolutely sure I am human but physically is out of the question. Huh neat I glow brighter if I get more emotional.

Existential questioning out of the way for now food is a priori- ooh gold, shiny! That's a cool design too: a trinity knot over an upside down triangle. If I didn't know any better I'd say it looks like Mora from Genshin. Hold that thought let's look around first before we come to any quick conclusions and yep I'm at Yaoguang Shoal there's the teleporter shrine right there. I'm also here before the main canon cause it's still red and not floating. So, either one of the twins isn't in here or there still in Mondstadt dealing with Dvalin. Either way that gives me time to get adjusted to my body, maybe make contact with the locals a few times and explore any abilities I may have. First thing I want to do after basic survival necessities is flying. I have wings. I will learn how to use them as something other than swimming or grasping with the tentacles on the edges of the wings. That will have to come later as food comes first and I need to figure out the bare minimum need for this new body of mine to run as efficiently as possible. Ok so if I've gone full Namielle in lore the easiest thing for me to eat and catch would be fish.

Not my first choice but I gotta do what can get me the most food with the latest amount for failure possible. So, from the top of my head the biggest fish in Liyue is either the bitter or standard pufferfish (which look more like catfish or bullheads if you ask me). I'm not trying my luck with anything called bitter so regular pufferfish it is. But the only place I remember it spawning is Liyue Harbor. Now I'm sure this world isn't bound by spawn zones but I will take my chances. So, pufferfish is off the plate until I have mastered this new body of mine to the point that I can escape from any situation I can think of. I hope some of the fish that spawn at Yaoguang Shoals could be edible. Another thing to think about is how tough my stomach's acid is now. Could I get away with digesting raw flesh? I would assume so but it's not like I have any other option as I have no way to start a fire and no need the entire time I've been here my "skin" so to say right now hasn't even been chilled in the slightest by the ocean breeze.

I'll leave this here for now and pick it back up tomorrow. The sun has been setting for the entire time I've been thinking and salvaging from the wrecks. All the Mora and anything I had found to be of potential value shoved next to a smoothed rock sticking out of the sand. Ha, not even a full day and my desire to form a hoard has shown itself.

-Next Day-

It's morning so it's my first time trying my hand at hunting. I fully expect myself to fail for the first time. Just hoping to catch anything today doesn't even have to be a big fish. I make my way to the waters edge until I'm up to my ankles. I try to hype myself up. I'm about to hunt as a Namielle-human fusion for the first time. What's not to be excited for? Slowly I make my way out into the water until I have to tread water to stay at the surface. First problem to deal with is reprogramming my brain on how to swim because now I have two very wonderful underwater wings to make use of. Taking what I can remember on how octopuses swim I make my wings almost like an umbrella starting at my shoulders but leaving enough of my front on covers so that I can move my arms. I let myself sink beneath the waves and wait for a few seconds before I feel my feet hit the floor of the ocean. Opening my eyes to find that it was neither blurry or stinging (something I never really took into account last night), once my pleasant surprise of painless eyes had outlived itself I took in my surroundings and even not just fifty yards off coast and it was pitch black. The thing is, I knew there were fish out there because I could feel them not physically truly but I could feel the slight energy, presence, or whatever they gave off. The realization that the theory that I saw on reddit that Namielle's might have electroreceptors was true made me giddy. I didn't need to see because I knew where they were. It was just the case of getting to them and grabbing them. The closest school was about 20 yards to my west and about 3 yards deeper. Turning myself towards them I let myself lean forward before kicking off the ocean floor nearly horizontal, before I completely stopped my wings stretched out like a nightmarish umbrella where I then forcefully closed them around my body again propelling me forward. The first couple of times I had to correct my course as my wings didn't close at the same time resulting in me veering off in a different direction but slowly with minor adjustments done by my legs and arms I got used to the process. Slowly but surely I made my way to the school of fish. Vague outlines could be seen and I identified them as Betta or the Liyue Stickleback, the one fish type I didn't want to meet as their lore describes them as highly aggressive. While watching them swim about gradually trying to keep them at a distance while I figure out the best way to get at least one hopefully two if I'm lucky separated, I'm reminded of a documentary I once watched on the Cuttlefish and how they use their ability to change colors to distract their prey. If I play my cards right my bioluminescence can be used in the same way.

Keeping watch I noticed an outlier in the school speed off to chase after kelp? What ever, beggars can't be choosers when it comes to the intelligence of their prey. I follow it making sure my back is never facing the main school until I get within around 4-5 feet of it and face the underside of my wings toward it putting my purple and blue flights on full display. Great, now how do I fluctuate them? Should have thought of that earlier, anyway the Betta sees me it stops in place which is good, it starts coming closer which is good, it starts speeding up which is not good. In a pull of instinctive action I throw my wings in front of me. The tentacles on the end of the wings finders quickly trying to wrap around the fish before it hits my body and impales me. Sadly my wings aren't long enough and stop short. A tug in my mind that feels like it's right behind my ears followed by the blue lights glow intensifies, signaling what happens next. From the end of the tentacles water and what I hope to whatever higher being that isn't the Retainer of Heavenly Principles is hydro energy condenses. Just like a susanoo from Naruto the condensed energy and water form extensions that layer right over the tentacles to extend their reach and they do ensnare the fish shopping it dead. And not just metaphorically dead but truly dead they crush the betta's head in their watery coils. Grabbing the fish from them, the tentacles quickly dissipate back into regular water no longer powered by the hydro energy I just used. The happy feeling one would have from a successful hunt is muted by me contemplating the consequences of me using an element without a vision. The fact that I could do it is the final nail in the coffin of my hope to be human. What I just did can only be done by gods or non-human entities. My existential question comes to an end when I feel a painful sandpaper-like sensation come from the wrist of the hand holding the dead betta.

That pain was coming from a goddamn dopey ass looking pufferfish that was trying to steal my fish and subsequently the hand holding it by sawing through my wrist with its rough toothless jaw. Quickly my hand is on what could pass as a forehead trying to push it away from me. Tug of my mind, blue intensifies and my fingers sink into the puffer fish's head. Pulling my hand back I find that my fingers are tipped in hydro energy and water in the form of slightly hooked claws. This construct did not dissipate as soon as it was created just like with the tentacles though. It stayed fully intact long enough for me to turn my hand around a couple of times before fading back into the ocean. Pulling my hand and betta out of the pufferfish before grabbing both…

'Ok yeah no, this is stupid' I pushed away from my desk deciding that I wasn't going to write another overpowered garry sue character in a sea of infinite copies of the same character. I needed a break to step away and come up with a new idea. I headed out to my kitchen to get something to drink. I get to my refrigerator and open it grabbing the first thing my hand touches that feels like a bottle. That bottle ends up being a jug of apple juice. Walking over to one of the stools for the island, taking the cap off, not even bothering with getting any form of glass. I pull it out enough for me to sit on the stool but I miss it and I hit the floor on my ass.

One problem though is that my floor is smooth laminate. What I fell on was rough and very uneven. I looked around and I found myself looking at gray everywhere gray and grooved and striated like, "Stone im surrounded by stone" or at least that's what i was going for it came out more like.

My heart plummeted because i knew that roar, i loved that roar but i was terrified what that roar meant for me. I looked at myself for the first time.

Black tar on tealish gray scale.

This can't be possible. This is a dream it has to be. The apple juice must have gone bad and fermented in the fridge and I got drunk. That must be it it has to be there is no way this could be possible. It's just supposed to be a shitty set up to a mediocre isekai plot.

It's not supposed to be real. It's supposed to be a fantasy. A stupid idea created from a desire to escape my boring life. I never really wanted to leave.

It's all a dream, I must wake up

YOU ARE AWAKE

Three words hit the forefront of my mind as it physically sent me back into a wooden structure breaking beams and scattering boards. Debris sticking to my hide as I struggle to catch myself with this new hexapedal body of mine. Finally able to hold myself up comfortably my panic attack brought to a heel by the voice. I'm stuck to one thought that plagues me like a virus.

I Am Now In The Body Of Gogmazios The Giant Halberd Dragon. And I don't know how to do anything or where the hell I am.

"What" "the" "fuck"

'Oh shit I'm not alone,' turning my head and long neck reveals a company of Fatui agents. I can only do one thing in this situation and that is to run. Important point to be made, I have yet to even walk in my new mode of existence let alone be able to run full tilt away from my possible impending doom. My first step ends with me forgetting that my wings are in contact with the ground leaving my forelegs now suspended and my hind legs brought closer to my wings. Incidentally this causes me to unintentionally do the iconic standing animation for Gogmazios.

"Backup! Backup! Backup! I swear to the Tsaritsa if you don't get back and it sees us I will kill you before it kills me!"

It seems that they didn't notice me noticing them.

Somehow?

Eh best not to look a gift horse in the mouth- and there goes my balance. The precarious standing position I was in finally caught up with my haunches sending me back to meet the ground. Flailing my arms about for any sort of surface strong enough to hold my weight I caught a ledge of stone. Ok, now I got to act naturally. What would Gogmazios do in the wild aside from fighting four person hunting teams? Looking for food, a fight or a fuck normally. I'm immediately crossing off the last two for reasons that are most likely readily apparent. So looking for food it is. So what to look for? I don't want to put all my hope in finding any sort of animal in what is obviously a cave system. So that leaves me with one option to look for sulfur or in more general terms gunpowder. Because while it will most likely taste like shit I am not willing to deprive myself of my body's greatest defense because I'm a picky eater. Maybe I'll just wander around a bit until I find their stache because knowing the Fatui they were probably trying to excavate something wherever this is.

So now as I continue on with my new body I think to myself 'I swear to god i better meet an archon soon to figure out how to obtain a humanoid form'.

Author's notes

Hello people it's AccursedZoo here questsions are loved, criticism is loves, comments are loves, trolling is ok in small quantities.

This is the skeleton of a idea that's been on my mind as soon as I started this game. The question is what monster could I do with out messing with power scaling to much so I chose a middle of the pack elder Dragon not to weak not to strong.

Ok the bait and switch was an after thought because i came to the decision that the namielle character was progressing way to quick and could easily become a Garry sue so i decided to make that a plot point instead of getting rid of it
