Authors Notes:

Zipzapdoowoop: It took me a minute to stop cracking up at your name. But thank you for your review. I agree that I should have separated talking points in the first place. I have gone back and made changes to the chapters once this has gone up. Thank you very much for the advice!

Glitner: While I can't go into too much detail here, chakra won't be used how you believe it to be. Because let's be perfectly honest here. Anyone with chakra in the Wizarding World would utterly squash everyone but the stronger witches and wizards. Stay tuned. I hope you'll like what I have planned.

He had never been so angry with another human being before in his life.

As Hagrid and the young Naruto traveled to the Dursley household, he was filled into the life of the young Potter and to the situation she found herself in. He was beyond livid to find out how horribly they treated her. Living in what amounted to a closet for her entire life? Treated like a house slave? He was ready to tear the Dursley's a new one simply upon that basis. But a thought occurred to him.

"Hagrid? How do we even know all this information? That would require her to have been watched the entire time she lived there. And if she was watched…then that means they knew the entire time and did nothing."

Hagrid shifted uncomfortably in his seat and attempted to look everywhere but the young man sitting in front of him. He had the look of a guilty man, one who knew but could do nothing about it.

"The headmaster…Albus wanted to keep tabs on her. You must understand that her mother's side of the family are muggle. Her mother, Lily, was the only witch to appear from her family line. He put her under watch but forbid us from interacting with her."

"Why? What's the point of watching her but not being able to aid her? The headmaster knowingly left her to suffer with her family and chose not to do anything to help her?"

"It…is not something I can speak upon right now. We must first collect the young Potter miss first. Then I can speak on it."

"I'm going to have words with Dumbledore once we return to the school."

"I can only ask that you go easy on him lad. He has very good reasons. While it may seem cruel from your perspective, it was for her own good and for her safety."

Hagrid's words placated him for the moment. But his temper simmered just under the surface, freezing into a cold rage. There would be a reckoning for this.

On any other day, under different circumstances the day would be perfect. It was a Sunday morning when they arrived at Privet Drive, the neighborhood where the Dursley household was located at. The sun was shining, the skies were clear, and the weather was perfect. It was neither too cold nor too warm. It was, for all intents and purposes, a perfect day.

Which is why he was a bit offput by the sight of the sheer number of owls sitting on and around the premises of the Dursley household. By his count, there had to have been a minimum of about 50 owls just sitting there. And not just any ordinary owls. He recognized them as the messenger owls that Hogwarts uses to deliver mail.

"What exactly am I looking at here Hagrid? Why are there so many messenger owls here?"

"That's why Albus sent us here lad. The school had sent a multitude of letters of acceptance into Hogwarts for the Potter lass. Alas, her uncle has refused to allow her even one foot out of the house since the first letter was sent. And due to that little…inconvenience, we have been sent to retrieve her. She doesn't have much time left until the school year starts. She still needs to purchase her school supplies at Diagon Alley after all."

"Well then why are we waiting out here then? If we're in a hurry, we should just grab her and head to Diagon Alley immediately."

Before Hagrid could answer both heard a very loud commotion coming from the Dursley household. It sounded like complete chaos within the house. They heard loud yelling, what sounded like hundreds of paper sheets being dropped at once, and multiple people running around in a panic. This kept up for what felt like a full minute before, with a loud voice, they heard what they had to assume was Vernon Dursley scream, "That's it! We're leaving!"

After this they heard the commotion die down and it was at this point that Naruto turned to Hagrid and with a face full of expectation, and he spoke.

"Seems like now would be best in terms of picking up miss Potter. If they intend to leave, it will take even more time to track them down. Best to grab her now and be on our way to get her school supplies."

"Ay lad. You're right. Best be on our way before we waste even more time."

With that they both wandered up to the front door and as Hagrid raised a large hand to knock, they heard something that set them both on edge.

A smack.

It was more akin to someone being slapped across the face with great force. It was after that smack that they heard through the door,

"We should have never taken you in! You and your parents are nothing but freaks! Because of you our normal, peaceful lives are ruined!"

They heard shuffling as though the Dursley matriarch was walking through a literal mountain of paper to get closer to the one she was speaking to.

"Look at this! All of this is your fault! Because of you, we need to leave our house! Why couldn't you be normal, you freak of a child!"

Hagrid was understandably furious at not just the manner the Potter girl was being spoken to, but the words being said about the child's parents. Before he could do anything, he felt a sudden chill pass over him and the very air around him felt heavier. He froze.

Naruto walked around him to approach the door to the Dursley house. As Naruto walked around him, he happened to catch a glimpse of the child and the look in his eyes. His eyes screamed bloody murder. And while it shamed him to admit, he felt fear when he looked at the child in the eyes. Instead of his uniquely colored eyes, his eyes were the bloodiest of red and slitted vertically like the eyes of a great beast.

You couldn't call what Naruto did to the door knocking in any sense. He smacked the door with 3 hits akin to knocking. But each hit packed incredible force behind it, such force that he didn't know the child was capable of.

Knock.

The first hit caused the door to shudder and rattle on its hinges.

Knock.

The second cause the door to splinter down the middle and almost caved inwards on itself.

Knock.

The third hit caused the door to fly off its hinges and land on the floor of the house, split into two pieces that fell to both sides of the doorway.

When the door hit the floor, the house went dead silent. Naruto then entered the residence and spied the residents within the living room. When he approached, he saw the older Dursley woman holding a young girl in a vice grip, holding her by the shoulders. The other two Dursleys were further back, using the couches as cover to hide behind. When he looked down his suspicions were proven correct. Hundreds of letters addressed to a girl beneath the stairs all piled high within the house.

Upon first observations, the Dursley's were dressed in very nice clothing. They were dressed up like they were going to Sunday service, and not like they were originally planning to stay all day indoors. In comparison, the Potter girl was dressed in worn down clothes. The clothes she wore were obviously boys clothing that fit her too big. The shirt had to be tied in the back to not fit her like an oversized dress and the pants were creased at the bottom so they wouldn't drag on the ground. They wouldn't even give her clothes that fit her properly.

"We've come for the Potter girl. She WILL be coming to Hogwarts. And as it so happens, we are her ride there."

The manner he spoke in was a deceptively calm one. While his entrance was a rather violent one and his anger ran at an all-time high, he would later find out that it was his eyes that made the muggle family cower in fear.

After his declaration the young girl turned to look him in the eyes. In her eyes he saw fear, most likely cause by his actions. But he also saw such a desperate plea in her eyes, a silent wish for her to be taken away from this place. His fury abated a small bit, and his eyes soften just a fraction upon seeing this. His heart went out to her, for she must have been through absolute hell while living with her horrible family. He couldn't help but want to speed up getting her out of that house.

"Grab your stuff. We have a busy day ahead of us."

With that the Potter girl shook herself loose from the grip of her aunt. She then ran over to the pathetic excuse of a room that she had called her home for the past 11 years of her life. It was in no time at all that the girl returned with what he could only imagine were her belongings packed into a singular box, a rather small one. He recognized it as one of the boxes Hagrid brought to help her pack up for Hogwarts. That must mean that he finally shook off the terror that had him frozen at the door. He knew a conversation was likely coming about what happened there at the front door. He wasn't looking forward to it.

He found himself walking out of the house and on approaching the carriage that would carry all three of them, he was met with the sight of a Hagrid deep in though. Hagrid took one look at Naruto and in a surprisingly calm tone of voice he spoke,

"We will be having words about what happened here lad. You worried me there."

Before he could respond, Hagrid held up a hand to stop him from speaking.

"I won't lie to you lad. That terrified me. And we will be having a conversation about this. But you aren't in trouble here. I won't be running to Albus and blabbing as soon as we return to Hogwarts."

That caused the gears in his head, that were running furiously to come up with any kind of excuse, to ground to a halt. He was quite frankly, stumped.

"What? Can you run that by me again?"

"You had me worried there lad. Nothing like that had happened the entire time we raised you. While it terrified me at first, I'm more worried about what caused that. And by your lack of a reaction to what happened, there's been things you've been keeping from us. So we will speak on this, and if it isn't something that will put us all in danger I will neglect to speak with Albus about this."

"Well then…alright. I was expecting to be locked down in a cell inside the dungeons until further notice. Nice to know I've avoided execution."

It was a smirk that Hagrid spoke,

"Have a little faith in me lad. Your secret is safe with me."

So, it was a heart full of relief that Naruto climbed into the carriage with the Potter girl in tow. Once they were comfortable, they were off towards Diagon Alley. Somewhere along the way it occurred to him that he didn't even know the girl's name. It was with a soft tone and a small smile that he asked the young girl,

"What's your name? Mine's Naruto by the way. Naruto Uzumaki."

"My names Rosemary. Rosemary Potter."

She spoke with a firm tone of voice. Not timid like he was expecting from one who lived in an abusive household for so long. This was one headstrong girl. Utterly gusty, this one.

That thought made him chuckle, and he doesn't know why.

"Well, you certainly don't lack in courage do you? You'd certainly fit in perfectly with the Gryffindor students."

Upon mentioning one of the houses of Hogwarts, Rosemary gained a curious look in her eye.

"What is Hogwarts like?"

With that, Naruto went on to explain how daily life was like at Hogwarts. How magical and wonderful it was. How beautiful the grounds were, how nice it was to interact with the staff and students, and above all the magic she would be learning at the school.

Rosemary listened with rapt attention to everything he said. And the more he went on, she cracked a smile at how animatedly he spoke about the school. The first smile he saw from her. The first of many, he swore to himself.
