"You're Neeka."

"I am and you are Ryan, the only person our age that Yaz talks about."

"She doesn't talk about her sister," Ryan knows that Sonya was Yaz's contact and not him, Graham, or Yaz's parents.

"Not really, she only has her sister as the contact, so she doesn't get the parent freak out."

"Sonya was shocked when Kate called her."

"Are you two," Neeka tries to hint in asking if Ryan and Sonya are together.

"We are growing close, but we haven't told Yaz yet. Sonya says she would freak."

"What do you think?"

"I don't know, I think Yaz would be happy that I don't stay away all the time."

"You do though, there have been times I have seen Ace comforting Graham after you called him at lunch a few times and overheard something about you not coming home yet."

"I haven't seen him for a bit, today was the first time I had seen Ace."

"Why?"

"I was nervous that I wouldn't like seeing someone with him like I did when he married my Nan."

"What do you think now?"

"I am happy that he loves her, and she loves him." Ryan knows his grandad is moving on, he doesn't know if he is fully ready for it, but knows he will help make sure he does better.

"Good, though I have only known the both of them for a few months, it is good to see two people so happy. Adric told me that when he was staying with Ace and Graham came by with breakfast he saw them kissing with large smiles on their faces." The rest of the drive is silent, Neeka and Ryan head up to the room, Neeka goes in first and picks up the black silk nightie and puts it into one of the suitcases and makes sure Ace's stuff is put in the bag before she calls in Ryan. Ryan enters the room and quickly packs Graham's things.

"Should one of us check out for them saying something along the lines one of her best friends was taken ill and Ace and Graham had to rush to their side."

"Best friend and someone she has taken under her wing that Graham was close to."

"Is," Ryan corrects Neeka.

"Is." They walk out to the counter. "Excuse us,"

"Yes," the attendant is shocked that there are two young people coming with suitcases from the lifts.

"Can we check out Dorothy McShane. I am close to her and one of her other close friends and someone she took under her wing was taken ill, and she and Graham had to rush to them."

"Ok? Can we get proof that you know them?" Ryan takes out his phone and shows a picture of him and Graham.

"Graham is my Grandad."

"I see, can you call Ms. McShane," even with the picture shown to her the attendant isn't fast to believe them.

Ryan getting angry, "Ms. McShane can't have her phone on her, the person she took under her wing is also a friend of mine, and her best friend Tegan, happens to be dating Nyssa, this one's Mum."

"Okay, I'm sorry." They get Ace and Graham checked out and head back to UNIT. When they get back Ryan goes up to Graham who is now standing right next to the door looking in and Nyssa is right next to him both of them quietly talking.

"I knew love could be this strong, because it was this strong for my Grace."

"I know what you mean, when I met my husband I felt the same way. When he was dying he made me promise him that one day I would find Tegan and tell her who I felt about her. Before everything happened between Neeka and her controlling girlfriend, I was already working on getting here. I was feeling like I needed Tegan, now she needs me, lying in that bed."

"What a pair we make, two of the people we love most in this world are in the hands of those we may trust enough, it is just still."

"Scary, I am trying to be brave for you."

"I appreciate that, I should be good with this, when I had cancer, I lost a number of people that I had met, but this is different."

"You can imagine a future with Ace."

"I can, though I want to make sure Ryan is ok with it first. Ace knows about that and is supportive."

"She knows how much Ryan means to you and wants to make sure both of you are happy."

Ryan had enough of the eavesdropping and put Graham's bag down, "do you want to marry her?"

"We have broached the subject, but both agree not yet for two reasons."

"They are?"

"You hadn't met her yet and it seems like you don't approve of us and I don't want Ace to go through with what I did, and two, we have only known each other for 8 months."

"I can see and I heard how much you love each other, why do you need my approval?"

"Son, I want you to be happy," Graham takes his eyes away from the door that Ace is behind and looks at his grandson.

"I am happy and you deserve to be happy."

"I will be once I know Ace is ok."

"So now it's just one reason."

"Yep."

"Are you thinking about what you are going to say?"

"Maybe once I know she is alright and able to be in my arms again."

"Come on Grandad and Nyssa let's sit down," Ryan takes both of their arms as Liam, Adric and Sonya come back with tea.

"These two cups are for the two of you," Adric hands his mum and Graham the two blue cups while everyone else gets the green cups. He knows his sister is going to fall asleep even with caffeine, the other two him and Sonya weren't sure, so they got the chamomile tea.
