This will be the aftermath for all of the chaos that took place across the Red Riding Hood's clash with the Glass Unicorn and Lilith. Everyone's had their work cut out for them, and some of it has attracted plenty of attention. It'll probably affect things going forward, especially regarding how our fellow guild members might tackle further problems ahead.
But for now, they shall take a breather, while the world further reacts to the aftermath of all this chaos.
It's been a long night. An absurdly, difficultly long night. So much has happened in such a short amount of time, and not all of it had been incredibly pleasant. It was exhausting and some of them were certainly still aching from how heavily they had to push themselves in order to get through the crisis together. After everything, a majority of the Red Riding Hood Guild felt like they deserved to just go back home and crash for the rest of the night, and deal whatever comes next tomorrow, when they had more energy for it.
Soon enough, some of the guild members decided to turn in for the night. Although currently the only ones who couldn't sleep were Ruby, Cinder, Jaune, Yang, Oscar, and Penny. And the former three were in the middle of a conversation. A much-needed talk, since everything was beginning to die down.
And Cinder was panicking on the inside. Her eyes were rapidly shifting between Ruby and Jaune as she was sitting across the two of them, with both of them looking rather casual. Ruby's expression seemed almost unreadable. That did not help her nerves one bit, her tail curling around herself anxiously. She recalled how Ruby had figured out her falling in love with Jaune almost from the get-go, then she went and kissed Jaune herself recently. Both of these events weren't that far from each other, and now that she was remembering them, it was setting up a rather ruinous image in her head.
She thought she had a little more time to smooth things over in her head and try to clear the air between the two, but Ruby was much quicker on the draw, and the focused look in her eyes told her that she was taking this extra seriously. Which means Cinder was in big trouble.
This is bad. This is SO bad. So horribly bad that I don't even feel hungry! Well, maybe a little snack to calm my nerves...NO! Now's not the time!
"So. Now that we, uh, have time to just chill out a little bit. I think it's time we talked about...certain things." Jaune clasped his hands while looking in-between Ruby and Cinder. Compared to her unflinching confidence before, Cinder looked a lot more nervous now, shifting in place and waving her tail behind her.
"D-Do we have to talk about it right now...?" Cinder nervously muttered while playing with some of her hair, avoiding eye contact with either of them.
"Yes. Because I promise you, one of us is going to somehow forget about it thanks to everything that's happened and try kicking to down the road, so I'd rather get it out of the way now." Ruby insisted while sitting cross-legged, arms folded. "Anyway, we have something important talk about, as Jaune said. And I think Cinder should be the one who starts us off." Ruby turned towards the shocked Dragoness. "This isn't to pressure you, Cinder. Really, it isn't. But you've already made a move tonight, so you might as well commit to it and be honest."
Cinder grumbled at being put on the spot like that, her tail thumping the ground as she looked between the expectant gazes of Jaune and Ruby. Particularly her gaze fell upon Jaune, who looked completely patient with her, and was even possibly expecting her to say nothing if she wasn't prepared to speak right here and now. Cinder gripped her dress and snarled, tapping her tail on the floor harder. There would be no hesitation, no more delays. She's already gotten it out there with how she kissed him before she went out to fight with him, denting it and pretending like it didn't happen wouldn't sit well with her pride.
Though that didn't exactly make this any easier for her, but it certainly made it harder for her to want to back out and delay things.
"...I...I-I...I love Jaune." Cinder muttered out with just about the smallest voice she could muster, and even with that much she already lowered her head and was on the verge of trying to cover up her face with her hands. Jaune blinked at the confirmation, not expecting her to be so upfront with it so soon, while Ruby had her arms folded and nodded, her ears flicking.
"Romantically? As in, you'd want to have him as a mate?" Ruby hummed, which struck Cinder out of her shyness for just a moment from how straightforward Ruby was being about it. It wasn't even in a teasing away; Ruby was calmly looking Cinder in the eyes as she was waiting on answers.
"W-What?! Romantically?! Mate?! Me?! I don't...yes." Cinder reflexively tried denying such things, only to give up very quickly once it was clear that neither Ruby nor Jaune were going to buy it. Especially when Ruby could smell the truth of the matter off of her. "Yes, I do. I really do. I just wasn't sure how to go about this desire, because he was already with you. And you two have had much more time to bond together than I did, not to mention fighting together, and other experiences. How could I have had a chance...?"
"Hm."
"Well, that's that bandaged pulled off, at least." Jaune pressed his hands together. "Also, wow. Okay, wow. I wasn't expecting this. And, well..." Jaune rubbed the back of his neck. "I also wasn't expecting to feel the same."
Cinder balked at Jaune's words as she immediately turned towards the currently calm Ruby gazing intently towards her. Oh no. She ruined everything, didn't she? Did she completely ruin things between these two? It was one thing for Ruby to call her out on her feelings for Jaune, but she could have potentially smoothed that over, but after she went and kissed him during her power high, there was no way she could play it off now, the evidence was clear as day, and now Jaune himself has admitted to loving her. There was no turning back now, there's no way this wasn't going to be addressed now that she actually made a move like that!
I seriously fucked things up!
Ruby moved closer to Cinder, her tail silently swaying behind her. "When I first figured out that you two were falling for each other, I was keeping it to myself. I wanted to see how things would play out, and I managed to see that your feelings were real and genuine. Now that I hear that you two even kissed each other...I've definitely made my decision."
"W-What decision is that...?"
Cinder began sweating bullets, finding herself moving away from the smaller and younger wolf woman in front of her. She could truly feel that Ruby was the Alpha of the pack right now, with how unconsciously powerful the atmosphere she was exuding. And Cinder went ahead and tried to move in on her beloved mate. Oh, right. She had completely and utterly disrespected that authority in a misguided attempt to save her friends, which didn't work out all that well, which is what Ruby explicitly warned her would happen. But she stubbornly, regretfully didn't listen to her. Cinder's mind promptly set on fire as many of her thoughts ignited, and she quietly descended into a full-on panic.
This was going to be disastrous.
Are they going to break up?! They're breaking up, aren't they?! And all because of me?! What have I done?! Cinder inwardly panicked further as Ruby leveled her calm stare towards her. There's no way she's not going to hate us both for this betrayal! This isn't how I wanted it to start! Or is it going to end before it begins because I cost Jaune Ruby?! Oh, fiery fucking hells, they're BOTH going to absolutely hate me! All because I rashly acted in a moment of impulse! Cinder whimpered as she lowered her head into her hands. It's all over, before it even began. And I just had to ruin something else in the process! No, I can't let them do this, I won't. I'll just swear off ever having love for Jaune and just leave, for real this time. They can't end like this. I can't let this be the end of everything for them! That's it, I'm going! Goodbye! Cinder was about to stand up and just immediately leave before they could say another word.
"Cinder. Would you like to be sister-wives with me?" Ruby eventually spoke before Cinder had a chance to move...and the words actually leaving her mouth pretty much rendered her unable to.
...
...
...sista wha?
...
...
...Sister What?
...
...
... SISTER WHAAAAAAAT?!
"HUH?! WUH?! ABUH?! GUH?!" Cinder sputtered and spattered as she was trying to piece together what in the world she just heard from Ruby's mouth, who was still looking at her expectedly. "W-What?! H-uhuh?! Wife?! Me?! A wife?!" Cinder shook her head and held her brightly blushing cheeks as her tail repeatedly smacked the ground. "No, I couldn't, I shouldn't! But I want to. Wait, what?! Why would I!? Because it'd be nice. Would it really?! Wait a minute! WHY AM I CONFUSING MYSELF?! HOW AM I CONFUSING MYSELF?!"
"I think I broke her." Ruby looked towards Jaune, who nodded in agreement. "Should we...?"
"Nah, give her a minute. She'll calm down on her own." Jaune shook his head, though he couldn't help but snicker at the reaction. Seeing the usual arrogant and confident Cinder Fall, a mighty dragon who's been through a reawakening and was now more powerful than ever, just completely losing her mind in a blushing embarrassed frenzy over something like this. He didn't know. It was cute to see.
After Cinder took some time to collect herself, she coughed into her fist and took several breaths. Though the shock was still very clear in her eyes and voice.
"S...S...Sister wife?" Cinder breathed as she tried to calm her rapidly swatting tail that betrayed her forced calmness. "W...What does that even mean...?"
"Simply put, do you want to be wives with Jaune, with me?" Ruby asked again, smiling sweetly towards the utterly flustered dragon in front of her. "It wouldn't have been the worst thing if I couldn't find a proper sister wife, but with how close you two have gotten, I think it would work out pretty well. At first, before you came, I thought Pyrrha might have been a nice pick. She and Jaune noticed each other quite a few times, and I sometimes wondered if I could nurture that and let it play out." Cinder seemed to stiffen at that, but she grew puzzled when Ruby looked to the side. "...But things changed, and things happened. Pyrrha was not in the right state of mind to be thinking about romance. It would have distracted her. She had some things to deal with at the time that weighed heavily on her, and she considered them to be on a much higher priority than her feelings for Jaune. And by the time she got through it, I didn't consider her an option anymore, because she no longer showed any interest in Jaune that way, and he simply saw her as a reliable friend. We immensely cherish her as a friend, so I was glad things didn't go too badly there."
Pyrrha was once romantically interested in Jaune, but ultimately got over it? Cinder wasn't expecting that. And given the solemn tone Ruby used when describing it, it didn't feel like a small matter in how it happened. It wouldn't do much good to pry further, for Ruby very much respected Pyrrha's right to privacy, and it also already crossed her off as an option. Still, Cinder was left curious to how severe the event must be for Pyrrha to permanently discard her romantic feelings for Jaune and instead just nurture their friendship. That tale will have to wait another day.
"I-I...hold on. I'm still trying to process how you came to a conclusion like that. What prompted that...?"
"Ruby and Yang grew up in a household of two wives and one husband." Jaune began for her, which had Cinder gazing at him and Ruby in surprise.
Ruby nodded in confirmation, as she pulled up her Scroll and showed her an image. It appeared to be a much younger Ruby, along with a younger Yang, a blond man to the right, another man off to the left. And then there were two woman who looked incredibly like Ruby and Yang respectively, except the latter had black hair instead of blonde. Aside from that, and her skin being a slight bit paler, she looked exactly like Yang. Even down to her blood red eyes whenever she's enraged or her power is pulsing, and even further down to them having generously ample busts. Though she definitely didn't share her sunny disposition, with how the woman was looking aloof. But not completely inattentive towards Yang, having a warm hand on her head. This was coupled with the white cloaked woman pulling a giggling Ruby into a hug as they smiled for the image. Pulling everything together was Salem smiling in the center of the gathering.
"It's a pretty messy story, how our family came to be. It's a bit late in the night for us to go through the entire thing. So, I'll break it down to simple core stuff and save the actual full story for another time, if you're interested." Ruby smiled wistfully. "Grandma played a slightly distant but still important part in it at first, with how she raised my mom to prepare her to journey on her own. She eventually met Dad when Yang was already born. One thing led to another, and they would eventually have me. Even more things lead into more things, and it was a very tough and even bad time for everyone. For both moms, for Dad, for Uncle, especially for Grandma. But in the end...they all worked together through the struggle and strife...and everything turned out alright. Yang and I were able to be raised by two mothers, one father, one uncle, and one Grandma."
"...Your mothers are sharing your father." Cinder eventually pieced together Ruby's inspiration, and the wolf smiles and nods affirmatively.
"It was a bit awkward and tough to figure out at first, but they wanted things to work, and eventually they did. To this day they all love each other very much." Ruby smiled and scratched her head. "That being said...our household can sometimes be an entire madhouse sometimes, with how much chaos tends to go down..."
"She's not joking. I've been there more than enough times to confirm for myself. If her uncle isn't the current punching bag for a majority of that chaos, it's going to be me. It'll be either of us by default." Jaune added in with a sigh. "Though Yang's Mom is easily the worst, right up there with Salem herself, when it comes to bringing chaos into the house, in order to stave off occasional household boredom."
Somehow Yang's birth mother being the least well-behaved adult in the house while the two sisters were being raised seemed to make far too much sense, and Cinder hadn't even met the woman. Yet. She had a feeling that would come soon, now that she was being told more bits about Ruby's family.
"Getting back on topic, this is why I waited so long to bring it up, and why I wanted you two to talk to each other beforehand. I wanted to be sure that we were all on the same page. I never told Jaune outright how you felt about him, and I didn't tell you how he felt about you. I wanted you to come to realize these feelings on your own." Ruby scratched her cheek. "Though I'll admit to not handling it all that well. Not to mention the whole ordeal with the Glass Unicorn. That definitely made a mess of things. I probably should have spoken up sooner."
"Nobody was really expecting it in any capacity, least of all Cinder. But we managed to get through it." Jaune reassured while turning towards the Dragon in question. "So, Cinder? What do you think?"
Cinder pondered over this. It was definitely something she wasn't expecting, especially with Ruby being the primary force pushing it forward. The choice spoke out to her in a way, with how willing Ruby is to share Jaune with someone she feels could cherish him as much as she does, and she's considering her the person she found worthwhile enough. It was quite a swirling ember of emotions, Cinder was feeling. She was in love with Jaune, no doubt about that. But Ruby had steadily won her respect through how much she's willing to put up with, and she was the one who tried to stop her from handing herself over to Mara, to leading the charge into her territory for Cinder's sake. With many a deed, Cinder has shown herself respecting the werewolf. And now she realized that she respected Cinder right back, to the point where she's offering to be another a co-wife with her. That meant more to her than she might have thought before.
Could she really, after everything...?
"Ruby, Jaune...you really want me to be...a part of this? The three of us? In that way?" Cinder briefly looked to the side while curling her hair around a finger. "Am I really worthy of that...?"
"Worth has nothing to do with it, at least not in the way you're thinking." Jaune reassured. "We want you to be a part of it because we've grown to cherish you that way. You didn't have to prove anything to us, Cinder. You were just being you."
"We want you to be happy. And with how you've bonded with Jaune, I figured that this would be a pretty neat way for all three of us to connect even more." Ruby hummed while her tail calmly swayed behind her. "So? What do you think?"
Cinder scratched her head, still being a bit overwhelmed by it all. Though she recalled a bit of something, something highly important and crucial to her decision, as she looked towards Ruby. "...Can I have as many feasts and snacks and sweets as I want, whenever I ask him to make me something?"
"The best of them all."
"I ACCEPT!" Cinder threw her fists upwards as drool began leaving her lips again at the thought of even more repasts to come. Ruby snickered at this; it was so incredibly easy once food was put forth.
"Come on, Ruby. I'm not that good at baking." Jaune laughed while shaking his head.
"They're the best to us because you're the one who makes them."
Jaune ended up blushing as he lowered his head. "Jeez, Ruby. Why'd you have to go and say that...?"
"Because it's true." Ruby sweetly responds and sent Jaune further into a bashful state, with Ruby clapping her hands. "Alrighty then! Now that that's been confirmed, we got to go over something else really, really quickly!" Ruby's eyes sharpened. "Ground rules."
"Oh boy, here we go." Jaune sighed and simply stays to the side, already seeing how Cinder was intensely paying close attention.
"Number One: It's just the two of us with Jaune. This is it, no more." Ruby declared while holding up three fingers with a stern yet adorably serious face. "Two wifeys and one hubby, that's the way to be. That's the best way to go about it. Anything more than that, trying to add a third girl, trying to start up one of those abominable harems is going to be considered cheating and we'll have to thoroughly punish Jaune for being a filthy degenerate."
"I can agree with this."
"Hey, hey now. Have a little faith." Jaune sighed while scratching his head. Ruby was completely and utterly against entire harems being formed, but she was perfectly content and even encouraging of the concept of two females sharing one male. It was an eccentric mindset for Ruby to take that's slightly conflicting with her stance against harems, but it made sense to him how Ruby came to that perspective. It wasn't without it's struggles but she grew up happy and strong in a family household of that template, and to her that was the ideal setup. Cinder managing to be a promising candidate for co-wife must have her ecstatic, but she was also taking it seriously, in her own Ruby way.
Besides, from a purely managing standpoint, two was much easier to keep up with than say, eight.
"I do. I'm just laying out the principle to her." Ruby patted his lap before turning back towards Cinder. "Number Two: Reasonability. We can't go chasing off every girl that's simply being nice to Jaune or vice versa, that'll definitely make us look pretty bad. It's fine for him to be nice to girls and vice versa. If they show interest, he can let them down gently and say he's already committed."
"If they're not so decent and try to push the issue?"
"Then we'll more firmly tell them that he's not interested, and they need to leave him be and not invade his personal space."
"And if they're evil and try to steal him away forcibly?"
"Then that gives us the go ahead to say the smackdown on them or remove them outright." Ruby casually declared. "And yes, Cinder, you'd have the go ahead to eat them. Go all dragon's wrath on them for trying to forcibly take our claim."
Cinder grinned, fangs bared. "Oh, I fully support this rule." She lightly lifted her clawed hands. "I'm burning with even more power. None of them stand a chance against me, but if they're going to try anyway, then that's just more opportunities for me to indulge." Anyone that tries to take what's hers, Cinder would show them no mercy. Not to mention that after her rejuvenation to her white dragon self, she had a feeling that feasting on more malevolent prey would now be even more satiating. "I'll maul them, I'll devour them, and I'll incinerate them."
"In that order?"
"In that order."
"Great!"
Man, their combined ruthlessness is terrifying. Jaune thought tiredly, knowing Cinder very well could do so in that order if she was feeling sadistic enough towards an appropriate target. Her being a fiery white dragon means she was a giant walking furnace, her belly within being akin to a boiling caldron. Nearly anything she consumed would fuel that burning furnace and making her flames burn brighter, larger, and stronger. Hence her preference for large, numerous, and/or powerful prey; it was more prominent fuel for her flames, more restoration and further surges to her magic reserves-which were already quite immense-and overall just more to energize and empower herself with. The opportunities to indulge in her predatory, gluttonous greed have just increased and expanded, and she was ever eager to partake.
Ruby encouraging Cinder to indulge herself in these desires when the circumstances allows her to, will most certainly place the latter in a terrifying light from the perspective of their foes, and the former just as well for being the one who orders/allows it. The interaction was like a ruthless sinister figure planning on siccing a ferocious beast on their quarry, or simply feeding a victim to said beast as punishment and/or setting an example to those who cross them. In either case, the sinister figure in this scenario is very close and appreciative and even affectionate towards the beast. Considering the usual imagery that comes with what Ruby aspires to be...
Jaune was absolutely certain that Salem's influence on the duo had a role in this bizarre development in their relationship.
"Number Three: Cooperation and Communication." Ruby continues on. "We're our own kind of team here. We have certain kinds of teams with the others, this one is ours. So, when things get rough and tough, we ought to be able to depend on each other when it matters, and we also got to talk to each other when something's going down. I'm an aspiring Queen, which makes Jaune my King. And since you're joining us, then means you're going to be a Queen, too."
"Me? Queen?" Cinder blinked, placing a hand over her chest. "Co-Queens...I never would have thought about something like that..."
"Yeps. We're going to be super strong Queens of a Kingdom of ours. And it'll be amazing."
"Hold on. When you consider that you're the one who's most actively pushing things, that would make you the one most in charge wouldn't it? And so that would make it a Queendom more than a Kingdom." Cinder watched as Ruby blinked at this, and the sparkling realization.
"Hey, you're right! It would be a Queendom! Though I guess it's makes sense to think of 'Kingdom' first, in some circles..." A Demon Queen ruling over her Queendom definitely connects more in terms of wordplay, to an extent. "Anyway, since I'm going to be the Demon Queen, and Jaune's going to be a Knight King..."
"...Then it's only natural that I aspire to be a Dragon Queen." Cinder slowly realized, then grinned as she placed a hand over her chest. "Which will prove to be quite simple! I'm already a superior creature, after all! I'll make the supernatural world acknowledge my might!"
"That's the spirit. The three of us deserves the best out of each other." Jaune nods softly, which prompted a soft smile from Cinder.
"And finally, for now, Number Four: Bonding." Ruby counted off. "I've known Jaune for four years and have been romantically involved with him for three. The two of us have a bit of a head start on things. Though were not going to force you to catch up, Cinder. It's why I wanted you both to go at your own pace before I spilled the beans. Jaune loves us both equally, for reasons unique to the both of us." Ruby nodded as she nuzzled Jaune's cheek with a smile. "The three of us should elevate each other so that we can each become our best selves for each other."
"Understood." Cinder nodded her head towards Ruby. "Because you've known Jaune first and have been with him longer, I concede to you as the dominant wife."
"Eh? No no, you don't need to think of it like that." Ruby shook her head. "We'll be equals, Cinder."
"But you were still with him first and for much longer. I must honor and respect that." Cinder placed a hand on her chest, her dragon tail thumping. "This is one of the few things in which I will voluntarily concede superiority to another."
"Looks like this is pretty close to her instinctively, Ruby. If it makes her more comfortable, then let's settle for this compromise." Jaune suggested to Ruby, who sighed and shrugged.
"Alright then, if that's what she wants." Ruby hummed while folding her arms. "In that case, it's only right that we help you and Jaune bond a bit more. In which case, there's one other thing we need to take care of." Ruby clasped her hands together, head tilted. "Do you want to mate with him?" This time Jaune couldn't help but cough a bit at how unexpected and direct the question was, and Cinder herself nearly fell over at the straightforward and sincere question. "It's just that the two of us began doing such ever since my eighteenth birthday. This is a chance for you two to have someone on one time to romantically deepen your bonds." Ruby tilted her head. "That is, of course, if you're comfortable with that."
"I-I-I-I am! I mean, am I? Yes? Do I? Um, I'm not sure, but how sure can I be?! I, uh...WHAT?!"
Cinder was blushing rather fierce, looking down at her lap as her tail was tapping the floor to outright slamming it. That would have to be fixed later, but right now she was just too far gone in being embarrassed that Ruby would put forth such an idea so calmly. And what was further getting to her, was that Jaune was just as red faced about it, but he didn't outright reject the idea. She held her cheeks as steam began blowing from her ears, a tomato could never be as red as Cinder's face was right now. She wondered if she could, if she even wanted to. Though the more she thought about it and pondered it, the less hesitant she grew, if no less shy. She did want to bond with Jaune more, and this was a pretty ideal time for them to enhance the romantic aspects of it. Not only that, but Ruby was actually approving and giving the go ahead for them to do so one on one. Her wolfish instincts must be pushing her to wording it this way, and she was alright with it.
Jaune could see that Cinder was growing less and less hesitant, and more so just really embarrassed. Which was adorable to see her so flustered and shy to a degree, but she was still trying to display an air of confidence in herself. Jaune turned to Ruby, who smiled and nodded to him approvingly. It looked like that was decided. "We'll be alright, Ruby."
"Y-Yes. We will." Goodness, she couldn't even keep herself composed. She was so caught off guard!
"Great!" Ruby beamed while clapping heartily. "I have something of my own to do anyhow, so I'll leave you two alone."
Ruby smiled as she held hands with Jaune, who nodded and smiled back to her. With this, they both closed the distance and caught each other in a kiss. Ruby's hands gradually slid up Jaune's arms then over his shoulders, while Jaune slid his arms around her back to pull her closer. Both of them briefly parted for several seconds before closing in for another, with Ruby's fluffy tail wagged calmly yet gleefully, her fluffy ears twitching slightly. Jaune briefly runs his hand through the fluffy tail, admiring the soft and fuzzy feel of it, then pulling her onto his lap, without breaking their kiss just yet. Ruby was able to adjust to it quite well, now proceeding to sit on Jaune's lap, briefly returning her hands to his cheeks as he moved her as gently as he could.
They briefly parted again, before they closed the distance one more time. Ruby gradually moving back up against her mate whilst her hands slid over his shoulders, her breasts gently pressing against Jaune's chest, her tail continued to wag with delight. Jaune held onto her and having her on his lap with one hand around her back and the other almost unconsciously giving an appreciative caress and affectionate squeeze of her butt. Ruby nearly snickered during their kisses after feeling him feel up her butt, his fondness for it was something she definitely knew he wasn't against. It was firm and perky, much like her breasts pressing against him, not to mention adorably bouncy. Their hold remained affectionate and tender, with Ruby lightly waving her tail to and fro, and Jaune simply cuddling her through their kiss with a strong yet caring hold on her.
Eventually Ruby and Jaune parted for real, as Ruby pushed some of her hair away from her face, both of them smiling towards one another as her ears twitched slightly. Eyes glimmering, she even closed back in to playfully lick his cheek, her tail once more wagging affectionately like the wolf that she was, increasing the wagging when she nuzzled her cheek against his own. "Love you."
"Love you right back."
Ruby soon pulled away while brushing herself off, smiling and nodding to Cinder. Cinder spoke up at that moment. "Ruby...everything I said before...when we fought... I'm sorry. I was in a bad place, and I wasn't..."
Ruby lightly placed a comforting hand atop Cinder's head, smiling patiently and understandingly with her. "I know. I'm sorry too. We'll both learn from that encounter and put it behind us. We both promise to do better by you, Cinder. Much like you'll do better by us. That's how we'll truly elevate one another to greater heights."
"Understood." Cinder replied. Ruby nodded to her once more, smiling towards her and Jaune, before exiting the room. Jaune smiled while scratching the back of his head, before turning towards Cinder, who looked away quickly afterwards. "...I...I need a moment to collect myself..."
"Take your time."
Cinder tried to recall the feeling. To recall the feelings, and the smells, from that one time. She was so physically close to Jaune, and she could bask in how nice he smelled. The lovely smell of well roasted beef, sweet scent of baked sweets. Everything in between. And then there was the knowledge that he could make her as much well roasted beef, bake her as much sweets, as she wanted at her request. The thought made her incredibly happy, nice and warm inside. She could now live a life where she could ask and receive these things whenever she wished and not get harshly rebuked for it. Her face redeemed considerably, but she managed to smile despite it.
Having pulled herself together, Cinder turned around towards Jaune, moving towards him across the floor on all fours, her blush increasing quite rapidly. But she did not slow her advance. Her dragon tail stilled for the time being, simply being dragged along with her, her draconic wings flapping slightly before folding against her back. Her golden eyes glowed softly, Jaune looking into them with a bit of a flustered feeling himself. Cinder always fancied herself as powerful and projected the image as much as she could, but now she looked positively adorable.
"Is...is it alright for me to say that I love you...?"
"Pretty sure you're fine there, because I feel the same way."
Cinder nodded to this, as she further crawled closer to him, until she closed the distance herself and kissed him where he lay. She recalled her desires back then, the need to wrap her wings and tail around him, to bring him close and meld their scents together. She did just that, her wings flapping before extending around the both of them, her large tail curling around Jaune and her long and curvy legs also making their way around him. Ruby's scent remains as strong as ever, but she supported Cinder making hers just as strong on Jaune, to let others know that he's been claimed by two beasts, and them alone. This increasing heat welling within her further pushed her draconic to make her own mark on her newly shared mate, to let the wiser ones know that this one was off limits. Ruby certainly has the right idea in that regard.
Jaune had accepted her advances as he pulled her up onto his lap like he did Ruby, with Cinder's hands lightly holding his face, her hips straddling him. She accepted him pulling her close and deepening their kiss, one arm lightly around her back, and the latter once again, unconsciously giving her butt a curious but affectionate caress and squeeze. Immediately he noticed that Cinder's butt had a lot more give to it, fingers sink a bit more into them, lightly molding around them, before he relaxed his grip a bit and they slowly but surely returned to their previous shape. It felt plump and plush to the touch.
Subconsciously, when he compared Cinder and Ruby's butts, they had their appeals. Cinder's was voluptuous, fleshy, and more malleable to the touch, with a more free and unconstrained jiggle and bounce that took it's time to return to its previous shape. Ruby's was firmer and perkier, with a more controlled and stable but still noticeably cute wobble that maintained its adorably rounded shape much easier. It was like comparing and playing with two kinds of comfortably soft bubbles, where one wobbled more like jelly and the other like an exercise ball. Both beastly beauties had quite a little bit of each aspect going for them that mostly went in the aforementioned directions, alongside their respective muscularity; even more so when leaning further into their human-beast forms.
He considered both of their rears cute and very healthy, though quietly wondered if thinking in detail about all of this was just further proof of his preferences...
Of course, he wasn't given too much time to think about it, because Cinder steadily increased her aggression as she pinned him into the floor and louder thumps of her tail hit the ground. It looked like her hesitation had mostly burned up by this point.
Soon, the Knight was passionately claimed by the Dragon.
Outside, Ruby had exited the Red Riding Hall, humming as she realized the success of this night despite all of its challenges. That in which she couldn't wait to impart to her Grammy, who had appeared just a few yards away from the Guild Hall from a portal of black and red. The elder smiled as Ruby, who in turn smiled back, though this was soon reduced to a troubled frown as she approached her grandmother. She jumped at her and enveloped her in a hug, nuzzling into her bosom. Salem happily embraces her granddaughter, caressing the top of her head. She rarely comes out or leaves the area of her cottage, but she'd make an exception for tonight, for it was for acknowledging her granddaughter's achievement.
"You've slain your first Grimm Devil, my blooming Rose. And it looks like you've found the co-wife you've long for. Congratulations are in order." Salem smiles, despite Ruby's unease. She knew what bothered her but remained calm and comforting. "What troubles you, my child?"
"Grandma...that broadcast. Everything that happened in it..." Ruby muffled into her grandmother's chest while shaking her head. "People are going to say all sorts of nasty things about you...they're going to want to hurt you..."
"Oh, that? My child, you've needn't worry about me. I'm well acquainted with the experience of the entire world becoming my enemy. Going through it again is unlikely to bother me that much..." Salem frowned. "Although admittedly...that ghastly scene of me actively striking down my own daughters...I cannot say with honesty that it didn't not fuel me with rage...and slightly renewed my grief." Salem sighed, patting Ruby's head. "The damage is done. With the mixture of truth and lies, nothing I say or do will be enough to prove my innocence in this incident. My words and actions will be tainted regardless of their actual validity."
"You sure you're okay with that, Gran?" Yang worriedly asked her while moving to her other side. Salem smiles as she left enough room to pull her into a hug as well. Yang was just as much her granddaughter as Ruby herself was.
"It is nothing I cannot endure, my Golden Flame. I will admit to being furious about some of the turns of these events, but it will pass."
Oscar's eyes widened as he noticed someone shuffling along from behind Salem, and he rushed to them once he recognized them. "Ozpin! You're alive!"
"Just...barely, young Oscar." Ozpin admitted while holding himself up on a makeshift walking stick. Oscar worriedly looked at him as he realized that Ozpin felt...much more fragile than before. From the way he stood, to his presence, to the exhausted and beaten look in his eyes.
Penny's eyes flashed green for a moment, indicating a scan, and she frowned. "Ozpin's battle with Lilith appears to have been crippling." She calculated in a straightforward manner. "Ozpin's overall Magic and Aura pools have each been immutably reduced by seventy-five percent."
"What?!" Ruby and Oscar exclaimed in barely concealed shock.
"It is true...I've been weakened considerably..."
"The fool actually did die for a time, but his soul managed to linger on long enough for me to resuscitate his body and heal his more grievous wounds." Salem explained, rather straightforward herself. She wouldn't have minded at all if Ozpin died, but she couldn't very well allow that when he's in her care, and she had Oscar, who she vastly preferred, on her mind. "As Penny clearly laid out, it was not without cost. He's permanently down to a mere quarter of his Magic and Aura capacity, each. He's weaker than he's ever been." Salem narrowed her eyes towards Ozpin. "Such a disappointment to Ozma's legacy. My granddaughter and your pupil had to clean up the mess made after your failure, you pitiful man."
"Grammy..."
"No, Miss Rose. She is right. I shouldn't have allowed Lilith to take Beacon Tower. It was a catalyst of worse things to come." Ozpin sighed while shaking his head. "This state I'm in will be a steady, personal reminder of this failure..."
Oscar looked towards his mentor sadly, then to his own hands. "With Ozpin's powers having been reduced and erased to such a drastic extent...that means that the only other person who can most reliably access the secrets Ozma and his followers left in this world...is me." He realized, with Penny moving closer to him and giving him a gentle hug.
"You managed to defeat the Grimm Devil Lilith. Her fellow Devils will not be happy about this." Ozpin noted. "Not because they particular care about her or each other, but her defeat in general is an insult to their standings, a collective shame. After centuries of escaping everyone's grasp and tormenting and subjugating other living beings as the 'true' rulers of the Grimm, you've managed to make them look vulnerable and assailable. They will not forgive this, not in the slightest."
"They should have thought about that before insulting Grandma." Ruby uttered with a glare.
"It is rather true regardless, Granddaughter. If they catch wind of you or see you, they will hunt you down." Salem narrowed her eyes. "After this night, Lilith meeting her end at your hands has sealed you as their newest and most prominent archenemy." Salem turned to Oscar and Penny. "And for directly helping Run deal the final blow to Lilith and thus ensuring the Grimm Devil's death, they will be relentlessly coming after you both as well whenever you're in their sights, more than all the others."
"Let em' try. We're gonna beat them all back and show em' what we're made of." Yang knocked her fists together with an ignited glare. "They're all goin' down, Gran!"
"The thought does scare me a bit...but I've already come this far. Being scared won't be enough to stop me." Oscar narrowed his eyes resolutely.
"Sensational, Oscar. You can count on me to help you whenever you need it." Penny squeezed him a bit and then gave his cheek a cheerfully sweet kiss, which surprised him greatly. She already moved over to a happily smiling Ruby and Yang laughing at Oscar being a blushing mess, both due to the quick kiss the latter received. Penny held Ruby's hands with a friendly, warm smile. "You can count on me to support you as well, Ruby. I'll continue to be a reliable ally and friend to you like everyone else."
"Thanks, Penny. Everyone helped me get through this, and I'll still be needing you all for what's up ahead. So, I'm grateful you're all by my side." Ruby nodded, then gazed towards the moon, as the rest of the dark clouds soon dispersed, allowing for her to appreciate its luminescent glow in its entirety. The wind blew by, ruffling her fur and cape, as her Silver Eyes shimmer brilliantly.
You better watch out, Grimm Devils. Lilith was the first to go. I'm coming for the rest of you!
Just a few hours beforehand...
"-And there you have it. The final strike was laid on the Grimm Devils, Lilith! Soon after, the dreaded Glass Unicorn has fallen completely to the Red Riding Hood Guild! Vale will live past this dreadful night, and we pray for more peaceful nights to come! Please, everyone, we must not forget what happened this very knight, or forget how much devastation the Grimm Devils are capable of, as a gathering of the worst Grimm of them all! But even so, they CAN be felled! Their reign of terror CAN be brought to an end!"
Lisa Lavender sighed as she's replayed the recording for the fourth time. She had been through a stressful, life threatening night the entire time, and it resulted in her being even more worked up once the time came to record the events onto her Scroll, similarly, to be broadcast for many to see. She had risked her life in order to make sure she didn't miss out on a majority of the battle.
"...I managed to do it. Less than savory people are going to be on my ass for it. I'm so dead." Lisa sighed while shaking her head.
"There's no need to worry about that. I intend on fulfilling my end of the agreement." Lisa slowly turned to face the source of the voice, looking up towards the blackness of the Grimm standing close to her. An Owl Grimm, significantly more powerful than most of the others that manifested, gazed down to her through it's mask. "I have agreed to place you in a position where you could allow the world to witness the most significant events of this night. In return, you will allow me to 'roost' within your body. You become my home, while I become your protector. These are the requirements we placed in order to finalize our contract."
"To be honest, I didn't think you'd actually live up to your word. I was putting my life in the claws of a Grimm...and I'm still here." Lisa uneasily admitted. "But I just had to make sure that everyone saw all of that. It might result in things happening for better or worse, but I couldn't allow for everything that went down at Beacon Tower to go unnoticed. Still...why did you help me, and agree to this...?"
"Survival, to an extent. Once I gained self-awareness, I never found satisfaction from senselessly killing and spreading fear and hate. It did not fulfill me at all. But if Lilith caught onto that, she would have lobotomized me and erased my personality. I didn't not want to lose my sense of self. I needed to keep myself below her notice, and have done so for years...now, she is dead." The Owl Grimm lightly raised one of its wings and preened it for ten seconds then tucking them back in. "I'm now free from her watchful gaze, which lusted for chaos and destruction. She cannot harm anyone anymore."
"Yeah, good for that..." Lisa scratched the back of her neck. The world has truly gone into a strange era when Grimm could not only manage to gain sentience under certain circumstances, but can willingly walk away from being evil, or at the very least learn to temper themselves. That could be a groundbreaking story in of itself, but she had doubts anyone outside the know would take it seriously, not when the worldwide orchard of bad apples vastly outnumbered the few good ones that rarely fall away from the trees. "You're seriously going to live up to the promise, huh?"
"I keep my word. And as you said, there will be those who wish to impart retribution upon you for your audacity." The Owl Grimm briefly placed a wing on its chest and gave a bow. "As such, for allowing me to use your body as my roost, I shall be your guardian. Anyone who wishes harm upon you will be forced to deal with me first."
"Well, if you really think so." Lisa nodded softly. "So, how do we do this?"
"Simply step forward into this sigil. It will recognize your willingness and bind us together."
The Owl Grimm was soon surrounded by a glowing red Glyph under its feet, which pulsed gently in the dark and surrounded by a black and red mass. Lisa looked at it worryingly, before she nervously stepped forward into the area of the large Glyph. Once she stepped forward, she sensed something beginning to bind itself to her, and she looked at the back of her hand. A glowing red symbol of a stylized eye soon appeared on her hand, and another one appeared just above her moderately ample bust, which she only she noticed after opening up her vest slightly due to feeling something aside from her heart pulsing. The Owl Grimm's eyes glowed and pulsed in return, as it gazed at Lisa. It leaned forward and soon turned into a swirling black and red mass than phased its way into the sigil above her chest, startling her form the suddenness, but causing her no actual pain. Soon enough the sigil on the ground vanished, as well as the one on her hand. The one above her bust, however, stayed behind as an unassuming tattoo.
Contract finalized.
"...That was probably the fourth strangest experience I've ever had." Lisa muttered.
'What would be the first three?'
"...And now a Grimm is talking in my head, after swirling and phasing into my new chest tattoo...nah, still only the fourth weirdest thing." Lisa sighed as she buttoned her vest back up. "So, you said that I'm going to be your 'roost'. Does that mean I'm what you'll require in order to recharge your powers?"
'Precisely. In gratitude for your hospitality, I am now your personal guardian. No enemy shall harm you before I suppress them. And when I am not currently inhabiting you, simply use the sigil on your hand to summon me. I will instantly be by your side.'
"So weird...hey, if we're going to do this, you might as well give me a name to call you by, if you have one."
'...I have once been called 'Alden', by a human. You may use that if you wish.'
"Geez. Alright, Alden it is. You're in for a turbulent stay, so you'd better help me out."
'Of course.'
With that, Lisa collected what remains of her belongings and made for her way home. She had done what she wanted to do, making sure every major event that happened at Beacon Tower was reported on and recorded for the world to see. For better or worse, the world would know what went down on this chaotic night, and from there, the chips may fall where they may.
The second broadcast involving Vale's current fate and state has been made for the world to see, thanks to the efforts of the one known as Lisa Lavender, risking her life to ensure that the events that progress through the night at Beacon Tower would not be missed.
While reactions would be to the point, due to the suddenness of it so soon after the previous alarming broadcast, they were no less telling of what Remnant's people were thinking, after taking several hours to let everything sink in.
Elsewhere within Vale...
Spirals of crimson leaves swirled downwards and smashed down on the remaining vampires that tried to escape unscathed, trapped within a wall of leaves and viciously torn apart on the spot in a game of fierce winds. A brown haired woman was glaring down on each of them with infuriated brown eyes, her golden dress and green cape rippling with the whirlwind. She was hovering in the air as she looked upon them, flowing gracefully in the air, before she boosted herself towards one of them and kicked them in the chest with a boot, slamming them into the ground. She turned around and caught one of them by the face with her hand, their claws just inches away from piercing in-between her generous bust and into her heart.
"You dare being ruin to my home." She seethed as a fierce blast of winds further tore the stragglers apart when they tried to fight back, the game slamming them into the ground hard enough to tear a chunk of it out, sent spiralling into the sky. "I sense many dead among the wreckage of this city, many are injured and crying. I wasn't able to help a single one of them in time, mostly because they are focused on protecting me instead..."
She flared as she raised her hand, as a stronger whirlwind of gold and red leaves rose upwards and pulled the remaining vampires out of hiding. She held out her hand as the leaves around her formed a sword. She soon swiped upwards, the whirlwind of leaves being sliced in half, and it sent cutting leaves all over the places, slicing the remaining vampires and cutting into them fiercely, sending them into pieces or into the ground too weakened to move.
"I love these people, truly. But they sometimes tend to get it wrong. Vale is not meant to protect me. I am meant to protect Vale."
"High Queen. I'd hate to interrupt your venting..." Glynda eventually appeared before Vale's High Queen, as she was holding up a telekinetic bubble above her head. Within the bubble, was Bianca, Levina, and Neo. All captured and rendered with no further will to fight. "I'm here to leave these three in your custody. Perhaps they have some information to provide about their dealings. Ozpin will be more than happy to assist, of course."
"Tch. Ozpin, huh? So he didn't end up dying in the midst of all this." The woman sighed as she smoothed out her dress and used a gust of wind to adjust her hair, before she turned to Glynda with a hand on her hip. "You don't have to do the High Queen stuff right now. You can just call me Amber."
"True enough, Queen Aurelia. But in a crisis like this, your official title is going to be important, and it will have to be treated as such for the time being. Just like mine will have to be used to bring a bit of calm back to everyone, as a Grand Witch whose home is also Vale. Which of course, sometimes requires more formal greetings."
"Damn it, you're right." Amber Aurelia grunted as she shook her head. "What a mess. The one time I don't want the Royal Guard to have my back. I wanted to join the battle!"
"Be reasonable, High Queen. Your vigor and compassion are endearing, but you, out of everyone in Vale, cannot rush it to battle recklessly. Should something happen to you, it would put Vale in a rather steep crisis it won't easily climb its way out of."
"Yet, what kind of Queen would I be if I didn't help them?"
"You are helping them, Amber. And you're doing so by being alive, by preserving your own life. I acknowledge your might, but even now, your patience could still use more time to develop. These people are hurting, and they will be in pain for quite some time due to this crisis. But they will thrive past it like it has many others. And this time, they'll be able to do so best, when they know that you are alive and well." Glynda placed a gentle hand on Amber's shoulder. "Your spirited willingness to fight on the front lines to defend Vale is admirable. But there's times and places for such a course of action. No matter how much it hurts, tonight was not one of those opportunities. Your have more strengths to wield than your physical and magical might. What they need now more than anything, is your comfort. So be that comforting presence."
Amber sighed and lowered her head, as Glynda soon pulled back and warped away once more. A cust of wind blew last Amber, her hair waving in the breeze, and her green cloak rippling as well. Her brown eyes looked over the wrecked city. Easily rebuilt, the structures were. The lives both ruined and lost, on the other hand, wouldn't be so easy to progress past. She sighed, several crimson, golden, and brown leaves swirling around her. She soon turned towards a statue behind her, seeing it look over her slightly.
A statue of the Great Fall Maiden.
"You must have made all this look seamlessly easy back in the day. Then again, times have changed. For better or worse than the era you lived in, I've no idea. All I know is that this era is my problem now...and I gotta deal with it." Amber scratched the back of her head with a calm sigh. "The atmosphere of the night has changed, so I have to focus on what I can do now. I need to comfort my homeland, and protect them from their sense of helplessness. They deserve to feel safe after everything that's happened."
With this, a windy spiral of gold and red leaves formed around Amber, and she flew off across the city in order to find a place for people to gather, where everyone could see her. She needed to return serenity and comfort to her homeland. At the very least, she could do that much personally.
And the first thing she did, was wave her hand towards the skies. In due time, a gentle, soothing rain poured upon the city, which proceeded to put out any remaining fires left over, and simultaneously healing the wounds of the injured and giving them enough strength to get them back to their feet. Once they saw their Queen flying across the air and providing them the aid they so desperately need, many have become cheering and crying in sheer relief at her presence. Amber soon smiled softly.
It was a start.
[Mistral]
"W-What?! This information is accurate?!" Lionheart exclaimed with expressed shock, once he finally had Ozpin on a call. "Lilith has been slain, and the Glass Unicorn has been destroyed?! They were the ones behind this disaster by summoning her?!"
Empress Miyako hummed, one exposed curvy leg crossed over the other, as Lionheart was trying to process everything that Ozpin was telling them, and it did matchup with the broadcast that had just went out for everyone to see. She fanned herself with her ornate she hummed curiously, her nine tails waving about. The Glass Unicorn was a prominent vampire organization, but through its services, many other kinds of creatures and such have been able to indulge in their most sinister and violent sins without fear of retribution after swearing allegiance to them in exchange. And she knew just the person to quickly ask for confirmation.
With Madame Mara Marzikeen and Lilith having been killed and the organization destroyed, these services, supplies, and supporters would all cease very quickly, robbing many malignant figures of their chief favorite outlets for debauchery. This was likely to invite swears and howls of vengeance towards the Red Riding Hood Guild, all across the supernatural underworld.
"Oh yes indeed, Lady Empress. Peekin' through the Glass Unicorn's history, they've been involved in an extended network of trafficking, particularly for the purpose of satiating the bloodlust of their vampire compatriots." A heavy-set, middle-aged woman soon brought forth while blowing out smoke from her cigar. "They've got themselves connected to a web of groups and companies that benefitted from having an indirect access to Lilith's power and other utilities. I'll reckon that they're all in a mighty big panic now that their suppliers have been eradicated."
"This is going to make things difficult for us. Quite a handful of these webs spread across Mistral and Atlas together. We'll be made to look untrustworthy after this incident...still, this at least gives us a direction to work with." Miyako hummed while waving her fan, turning towards the heavy-set woman with a nod. "Will you be able to find out more about these connections and how deep they go?"
"Empress, no info escapes my web for long. If there's more information on this, I'll find it eventually. You can very well trust me on that."
"Very well, then. I'll focus on dealing with the aftermath of this disaster. The rest of the world is going to be gazing upon Mistral with distrust and suspicion." Miyako playfully tilts her head. "Still, I am surprised by how easily you agreed to cooperate with us."
"I've gotta do my part to keep Mistral nice and stable. Business can't exactly proceed all that well if everything's in disarray. I like my webs nice and orderly, ya see. Besides..." The heavy-set woman, and leader of Spider, puffs out another ring of smoke as she focuses on the image of a dragon blasting away Madame Mara. "I think one of my past investments has finally begun payin' off."
"You know her personally, don't you?"
"Maybe I do. But I'm afraid that info is closer to my private life, and I can't exactly delve into it. Just let me see what other dirt I can dig up on the Glass Unicorn's presence and influence in Mistral, so that you'll know what messes you've got to clean."
"The days ahead will be hard indeed..." Miyako definitely had her work cut out for her, which left the kitsune sighing with a bit of annoyance. Still, she ended up smiling in amusement, and gratitude that at the very least, an immense threat towards Mistral has been vanquished.
The Red Riding Hood Guild...what a cute little name for such a formidable bunch.
[Atlas]
"Ozpin, we saw the broadcast for ourselves! It was live the entire time!" Ironwood called out, as the Atlas Assembly was seeing the holograph of Ozpin detailing the events that the broadcast had recorded for the world to see. And it certainly looked like Ozpin had been through better days which further brought instances of validity to the vanquishing of the enemy. "I can't believe it. The Glass Unicorn first set themselves up in Atlas and have been feeding off the citizens of Mantle for years before they vanished, likely forming their contract with Lilith." Ironwood pinched the bridge of his nose. "Even if they managed to beat them, Atlas will be held at fault for allowing them to leave our borders to cause such chaos for so long..."
"We can put up with it. What matters most is that they're both gone. Good riddance!" Robyn sighed while shaking her head, with it being clear that Atlas's measures would have been too extreme for what Amoncio Glass was trying to put forth. "Still, this is going to put Atlas in a lot of hot water. The Glass Unicorn first formed within Atlas' borders, so we're definitely going to be taken to task and held accountable for them. Best to cooperate and see how many other things they've put their hands into, and how many places they've sunken their fangs into."
Winter had a hand over her heart and was breathing a much-needed sigh of relief having confirmation that her sister was alive and had survived the battle. "Thank goodness, Weiss is alright. And Penny, too. She's really proved her capability here in helping eliminate such a dangerous enemy." Fria, for her part, smiles proudly in agreement as she sees the image of Penny doing her part in making sure that Lilith could not dodge or defend against the blow that would destroy Lilith for good.
"Ah, it is ever so wonderful to see that one of my pupils is doing so well. And it seems Queen Amber has been adjusting better to her Queenly role. It's an uphill adjustment period for her no doubt, but she appears to be handling herself well."
Ironwood sighed as Ozpin finished his relay of the current state of Vale. Particularly that due to his failure to stop Lilith from taking over Beacon Tower, a vast swath of Vale has been left in shambles. And once again, due to events instigated from an organization that was originally from Atlas. Not providing support and recovery efforts at this point would seem like an effort to avoid accountability, and that was the last implication he needed attached to him. He eventually dismissed himself for a moment and stepped out of the room, pinching the bride of his nose.
"It would seem you've had quite a headache, Sentinel Ironwood."
Ironwood blinked and turned around to face Glynda Goodwitch, who was walking towards him after appearing in a flash of purple light. She was wearing a graceful, plush and purple winter coat to slightly stave off a bit of Atlas' usual cold weather. "Glyn...I mean, Grand Witch." He caught himself a bit, trying to maintain his composure.
"As for me, I'm in the midst of my own grievances, as I'm more directly involved in Vale's recovery efforts. I wasn't quite expecting for that broadcast to go out but ignoring it wouldn't do us well." Glynda admitted while stepping closer to Ironwood, her arms folded under her breasts, prominent even with her coat. "Tell me, what consensus did the Atlas Assembly try to come to?"
Ironwood shakes his head while slightly unable to face Glynda. "It was a near majority vote to have the Atlas military storm Vale and destroy everything, in order to cull the threat before it could spread out more. Had Saintess Fria not spoken out, the situation would have been out of my hands. Even so, I resisted it every step of the way. I didn't want Atlas to add another atrocity to its history and have it be labeled as an act for the greater good."
"As usual, the Atlas Assembly are sometimes too jumpy for their own good."
"Not Robyn Hill, however. She was actually more vocally against it than even I and Winter."
"Unsurprising." Glynda actually smirked at that one. "It seems I've had an easier time with Amber than you've had with the Assembly."
"Amber is far more reasonable, if a bit reckless. She's fortunate to have a friend like you who can help her steady that while you're in the area." Ironwood shook his head while pinching the bridge of his nose. "For the both of us, it seems that we have much to do to address all the difficulties that this incident has brought up, as well as its consequences." Ironwood sighed, his shoulders slacking slightly. "I do wish we could meet under better circumstances, Glynda."
"Hm." Glynda nodded to herself, as she slightly levitated in front of Ironwood, lightly kissing his cheek. "As soon as I'm finished with the immediate recovery until Vale is stable, we can set up those 'better circumstances', in order to wind down and recover our mental capacities. Perhaps with a snowy picnic." She softly smiles towards him. "Does that sound reasonable, James?"
For the first time in a while, James smiled sincerely. "I'd like that, Glyn."
[Vacuo]
"No way! They actually managed to cap off a Grimm Devil?!" Carmine gasped while pushing others out of the way as the broadcast played once more. Indeed, the finishing slash occurring, as Ruby cleaved clean through Lilith and parted the dark clouds to make room for the starry skies, couldn't be easily forgotten. "Well, I'll be damned. I never would have guessed that something like that could happen! You see this, Queenie?!"
Gillian Asturias was still watching said replayed broadcast with a bit of disbelief. Though given that it was taken in life, and Vale had been in quite a chaotic situation already, it was surprising to see someone actually come forth to cull the threats causing such devastation. The idea of someone willingly calling forth a Grimm Devil was frightening, but it was still shocking that both of them were defeated and destroyed on the same night.
Perhaps she had underestimated Vale's capabilities to live through hardships. High Queen Amber wasn't directly involved in the battle, but her course of action of comforting, soothing, and healing her people was awe-inspiring in its own way. And Gillian also underestimated just how many criminal elements have been connecting Mistral and Atlas. With how the disastrous situation could have ended in Vale's complete devastation, which had opportunities to spread into the other lands if they weren't stopped, Queen Asturias couldn't just let this slide. She'd have to do her part to take both Mistral and Atlas to task, for Vacuo very well could have been next since it's much closer to Vale than the others, sharing the same continent.
"...Though there is still one question to be asked. With the call to action that Salem made...what calamities might happen next...?" She muttered, as the blowing winds of the oasis outside blew gently around her, lightly ruffling her dress and carrying bits of sand into the air, swirling away elsewhere. Carmine made sure no irritating amounts of sand reached her via her abilities. As the winds calmed down, and she looked towards the glittering waters of the nearby oasis, and the oases around her, she couldn't help but wonder, if this really was an omen that would bring amount more chaotic events.
The sands of time will reveal the truth to her.

In a bright and shining, golden citadel...
Elegant gold and white structures surrounded said citadel, along with self-building mechanical walls, the city hustling and bustling across the lands, with many going about their day and mostly greeting one another happily while passing by. Within the citadel itself, and the main base for a majority of the land's warriors, Remnant's Holy Knights were gathered here. Or as they were similarly called, Guardians of the Dawn. Knights upon Knights whose numbers encompass numerous radiant bases across the world. Emblems of a sun rising were on their flags and shields, and some even showing up as holographic banners in several key places in the city.
Within the center of the base, a large gathering hall was set in place where the congregation was being held. Large hovering lamps decorated the walls and vivid paintings of knights slaying monsters across the centuries could be seen displayed on several of them. And right next if the were occasional repeating, holographic recreations of the events within the paintings as such to visualize the glory of the events as accurately as they could.
Within the center of the rooms a rounded table that encompassed a large radius where a great number of knights have gathered around, many of the seats escalating in height as to make room for everyone, with enough space for them to walk around and converse with one another. A levitating glowing chandelier with the imagery of the sun was right below the ceiling, illuminating the room and shining upon everyone as well.
"Looks like the Demon Empress Salem herself has just awakened the deepest and darkest impulses within all creatures." One of the knights, Emeryson, left her hovering carriage as they descended onto the ground through one of the opening doors through the walls, adjusting her equipment as she sets everything down to the side. "People all around the world are demanding that someone does something about that. These vile beasts and destructive demons intend to spread terror everywhere, more than they already have. Our time to head out further into the world might finally be at hand."
"Tch. It matters not how many monsters and demons come out of the woodwork. They'll all be slain down to the last. We must smite evil down to the root." Marcella urged darkly, heaving her sword over her shoulder as the armory having selections from levitating maces to projecting swords to arm cannons constructed with technology from Atlas. Before her presented her several weapons in a library projection, as she eventually picks several of her key chosen weapons. "Troublesome abominations of all sorts that cause or attract nothing but chaos and disarray, it matters not what kind they are or what alignment they follow. Even dragons are seemingly on the verge of returning to menace the world again, if that broadcast is to be believed! This is why we're needed! Once you accept a duty like this, it has to be done properly and completely! Not a single monster or demon should be allowed to exist!""
"Oh, I do hope they're capable of resisting with great fervor. It's not quite as fulfilling if they die off too quickly." Artemisia smiles with serenely closed eyes, adjusting her black colored armor while placing the severed heads of griffons, oni, a kraken, dark yeti, and more, into her spatial satchel. The base had an expanded, glorious trophy room of its own with many of the captured heads, skulls, skeletons, and pelts of various beasts cryptids and demons fought over the centuries, but Artemisia prefers to take some for herself to admire in the privacy of her own home. "That one werewolf on the broadcast looks like she'll make for a gorgeous trophy. She killed a Grimm Devil, which means killing her will boost my rank due to her threat potential. It's been years since I've taken the head of a werewolf of worthwhile caliber. Plus, her cape looks quite cute. I could use a new look..."
"Furthermore, the formerly great Hero Ozma, has been exposed for connecting with the Mistress of Evil, Salem. To the point of even fathering children with her. He has proven to be among the most heretical of them all for this betrayal towards humanity. His entire legacy has been tainted by this discovery." One of the other knights in a more robe-like armor, Knight Wizard Faust, lightly turned towards the holographic projection as he was probing the archives for more information, which spread upwards in a circular motion. Each book bring about information in a digitized projection. "Being so intimately connected with one of the worst evils of this world, every trace of his legacy will have to be erased."
"Not to mention, that one knight alongside the werewolf and dragon, he's explicitly fighting by their side. He's likely to have become a traitor to humanity. Such heretical actions he's taken in that battle, helping their rise into greater power. He's been poisoned and corrupted by their malicious influence." Roxanne hummed, her Aura glistening glittering white as she was sitting in guilded gold seat. "There is no saving his soul, no amount of prayer of repentance can do so. Thus, he must be burned down to his soul so that he can't spread their corruption even further."
At the mention of this one, one of the knights parked their heads up as they gazed at the Scroll in question once information has been updated. And once he double checked to make sure, he could only sign and groan with a palm down his face, as he saw Jaune Arc was the 'heretic' they were speaking of.
"Jaune Arc. What has that boy gotten up to this time..."
"Oh, I recognize that face! So that's what he's been up to!" One of the apprentices rubbed their chin with a sigh. "This isn't looking too good. How's this going to go down?" One of the bulkier knights pushed past him, nearly tripling him over. "H-Hey!"
"There's only several ways this can go, at this point." Viktor Swansteel frowned as he kept walking forth, smashing a Scroll's image of Jaune's face as he did so. "The boy has decided to throw his lot in with a demonic beast, and one of the most dangerous, powerful creatures of them all. He is assisting the both of them in their rise to power. These actions are heretical, and will bring dishonor upon his family. I'm sure that his father will be very disappointed in him for this betrayal."
The blonde man clutched tightly onto his Scroll at these words but didn't say a word. Some knights began looking his way and whispering.
"The first option is simple. Should the Arc boy wish to redeem himself, all he would have to do is kill these two himself and bring in their heads so he can cleanse himself of their wicked influence. But I've a feeling that he's far too weak for that option to be feasible."
A strong pulse of Aura stormed down upon Viktor, nearly causing the ground under them to creak, and the flare around it nearly tore several structures apart. Viktor, acknowledging that the sudden force was being directed towards him, elects to overall ignore it and continues on without a care.
"The second option, even less so. He can choose to continue going down this heretical path, and the only way his family name can be recovered from that point, is if his father approaches him himself and brings him to justice, so he can atone for raising such a traitorous failure."
Viktor still stands tall as the force of the Aura pulsed continued to weigh down on him while he never moves an inch, with the energy pulsing outwards and causing more structures around them to creak from the building force. Most of the others have begun sweating after it became more noticeable. Viktor once again barely paid it any mind.
"And third, should it be unveiled that the Arc Dynasty has no righteous members in it after all, Jaune Arc will have to be hung up and burned as an example of what happens to heretical traitors. And the rest of his family shall live in disgrace for his actions and atone in order to make up for the immensity of his betrayal." Viktor scoffed. "...Seven young, healthy Arc daughters. I'm sure they'll be more than prepared to make the best of their individual uses in order to redeem their family name from the mistake that is their only brother. Of course, they will be properly cared for, guided, inspired by, and protected during those troubling times by real men in their lives, since clearly their father and brother are not those reliable men. That's seven different avenues where the Arc Dynasty can eventually continue on and redeem itself, without need for the boy."
At that, the man outright stomped the ground hard enough to crack it and nearly collapse the floor outright, turning on a heel and glaring heatedly towards Viktor, who only slightly looked his way with a raised eyebrow. Several knights nervously looked between the two and wondered just what might happen right in the middle of the stronghold.
"I'm sure the Arc Patriarch will heed these words and will do what it takes to press whatever dignity his family has left that his only son didn't tarnish. I hope he's not expecting for us to start making exceptions to our rules and judgements that's held true and kept us from complete annihilation for thousands of years. It's just as Lady Marcella said. Our duties must be performed properly and thoroughly. Any and all hints of corruption must be snuffed out, the sparks smothered, before they can catch fire and destroy all that we've upheld." Viktor soon passes by the man, stopping briefly. "I'm sure he will understand what needs to be done, and spare his dynasty from being tarnished any further."
The blonde man clutched his fists as Viktor kept walking without being stopped, leaving a man fuming in his current situation.
"We be willing to do everything and anything it takes to smite evil, no matter where it originates. We see corruption, and we cull it. We use whatever it takes to establish order in the world and discard anything that will prevent that. Not a single ounce of effort can be wasted in this pursuit. There is no room for sentimentality or guilt." Lady Marcella narrowed her eyes as the surrounding flames illuminates her form, reflecting off her armor. "Any and all threats to humanity are to be culled completely and utterly without question or hesitation. Anything less than full and complete dedication is an insult to our cause. We cannot settle for anything less than the swift elimination of corruption and wickedness in any and all forms, or else our eminence as Guardians doesn't mean a thing."
The man remained quiet as he eventually put away his Scroll, with both Viktor and Lady Marcella walking in their own directions down golden hallways without sparing a single sympathetic glance his way. In contrast, the other Knights began cheering as they realized the newest waves of their crusades have just been made possible, and now could be pursued with greater fervor than ever before. The man just shook his head and left the base post-haste. The Guardians of the Dawn are preparing to once again bring their own kind of shine upon Remnant.
And in order to take on the 'threats' they perceive in a potentially disastrous era, they would be taking on an even more dogmatic approach than ever before.
[Land of Darkness]
Within the deepest and most desolate throes of the Land of Darkness, several wavy, malevolent shadows ended up projecting in several locations, taking refuge in several pools across the realm. Though, after the most recent events, they've found themselves stirred, out of surprise. They had their own reactions, with their physical bodies currently still dormant. Some more than others.
And many of them were reacting to no longer sensing Lilith's presence. They all knew what that meant.
"Looks like Lilith is gone. I'll have to pick up the slack on gathering raw power and building a dominating force for myself. I'll have more territories and power bases than anything else! Nobody else gets any!" The first voice schemed lowly, with various fox, corvids, and frog Grimm echoing through the dark space with distorted yips, demonic ribbits, and bellowing caws. The pooling around it was slightly reflected in a warped, dark shade of gold, across a rippling expanding pond.
"That Snake-Owl wasn't among our strongest, but she was definitely one of the most dangerous. She's the one who sabotaged the Vytal Peace Accords, sending the world into the Dark Ages. I want that kind of success for myself, meaning l have to ruin everyone good fortunes and exacerbate their misfortunes." Another uttered in a quiet and calculated manner, across the echoing and unnatural sounds of barking dogs and bleating goats, the grassland around them purple and sickly green, waving back and forth and eventually flowing bright with malevolence.
"Now morons from all over are going to think they can just walk up to a Grimm Devil and fight us whenever they want! Idiocy! I'll crush every single living thing that tries to insult and inconvenience me after this indirect embarrassment to my standing! I'll destroy them and everything that led them up to that blundering decision!" Another deep savage voice echoed through the space, accompanied with the images and demonic sounds of howling wolves, hellish roaring bears, and the hellish bellow of crocodiles, all appearing as Grimm with the cliffs around them on purple fire, with the eruption of volcanoes also echoing behind them.
"Making everyone torment each other to make one another succumb to despair so that I don't have to work for their negativity, that's the kind of existence I'd like to have. People should just forfeit their pointless attempts at improving upon the world and/or themselves. Caring about and helping each other is too much work. They should take the easy route and just let me eat them." Another shadowy Grimm was hanging in a hammock made out of black slime, nearly hanging over and not making much attempts to right themselves. It didn't even have the motivation to simply levitate like the others, rocking side to side in their hammock by several multi-eyed donkey Grimm, as well as a corrupted light blue shining down on them.
"Stirring up chaos and ruination means even more rage and hatred for me to feed off of. It feels so much nicer when lower creatures destroying each other in unjust bursts of powerful emotion; it makes them all even tastier for me to consume. I want banquets like that all the time!" A much bigger and fatter Grim was hovering over the ground helped by numerous other Grimm, accompanied by the sounds of demonic squeaking, buzzing flies, and hopping toasts. Surrounded by ma y other Grimm carrying it around, as the filth and blood around them continuously built over one another.
"Regardless of how that old snake died, the fact remains that she's been defeated. A blow to my notoriety, a battering to my reputation, and a danger to my influence. Fools will believe that, since one who shares my title has fallen, my superiority and menace has been undermined by proxy. I'll rectify this with ruthless resolve. I'll remind these small-minded lifeforms of just how cruel and malicious I can be." Yet another Grimm, surprisingly one of the more slender and humanoid appearing, folded their arms while hovering the highest around their fellows for the moment. The distorted roars of a lion could be heard resounding through the skies, alongside the caws of a peacock, one that's train opened up and spread out for all to see. The being was swirling about in a whirling plume of purple energy.
This went on, as more of the Grimm Devils have begun voicing their dark desires and expressing an increased motivation to see them through.
In truth, none of the other Grimm Devils have ever cared about Lilith, and none of them truly care about each other in general. However, Lilith's words did manage to collectively resonate with them, in a way that their desire to ruin everything in the world and everyone who's not themselves for their own benefit, has been drastically amplified.
Also, they would pretend to do so while pushing that Salem was the one who reawakened these dark desires within them. Because hating Salem was about the only ironclad aspect that they all have in common, so any and all matters of besmirching her name will continue from where Lilith left off. Kickstarting a new age of chaos, and a slandering campaign against Salem, who once arrogantly claimed to be Queen of the Grimm.
This would be Lilith's legacy.
[Domain of Light]
The Domain of Light, in comparison to the Land of Darkness's Evernight or Everdark, was sometimes referred to as Everday or Everlight, a simple, straightforward, somewhat eccentric way to emphasize their antithesis relationship.
Surrounded by small canyon, a vast temple was led up to by a row of stone stairs. Brilliantly gold yellow flowers laid across the ground and many seemed to always be flying about in the air. Over behind a massive fountain, was an immense tree with dark gold leaves also shining and floating around it. A sense of serenity shined and filled throughout the vast area, life and power emanating throughout it all.
There were several gatherers in the area, and one of them slowly stands up and lifts their head, surrounded by the calm and peacefully coos of the doves flapping their wings and flying around them. "...So. The blasphemer known as Salem still walks the world. The one originally responsible of robbing Remnant of its previous splendor. And here we see, the consequences of her continued influence. Such malevolence needs to be completely purified, to reclaim that magnificence." Orella serenely hums in wonder, her cape billowing slightly, her hood slightly ruffling to an extent.
"The extent of her corruption is quite clear now, and it's beginning to awaken even more vile souls that can spread her malignancy even further. It appears it falls to us to restore a sense of majesty to Remnant once again. Ruin must not be allowed to prevail." Themis uttered with firm conviction as her hair flowed gracefully with the incoming winds, the water she was standing on waving in and out, reflection of her image not changing despite it.
"Of course, many others responsible for staining this world will have to be destroyed in order to firmly carry out our duties. Those who have fallen to ruin, and those who allowed that ruin to happen, will all have to take responsibility for this folly and be eliminated." Celimene uttered with folded muscled arms, her cape not quite enough to hide them when she moved forth under her cloak.
Standing in the middle of the Shrine, gazing towards the shining skies and eternally glowing sun within this world, another one turned about with a majestic and graceful flow. Juno hummed. "Indeed. It is imperative that we not sway from our mission. Our time has come at last. We shall annihilate Remnant's corruptive and sinister darkness forever, as per our divine duty. We will now begin our cleansing of this world's darkness, and commence righteous retribution upon it's inhabitants for allowing this defilement to fester. The denizens of Remnant have appeased this darkness for so long and allowed it's corruptive influence to worsen and spread even further. They have forfeited their worthiness to living in this world, and thus their divine punishment is upon them. Let us all retrieve our Shining Acolytes, and resume our mission."
As the four figures stood up and began heading out, one of them allowed the wind to blow the hood off Juno's head, showing the woman with flowing, shining white hair. And as the glowing sun shines down on them, shimmering with beautiful radiance, each of the individuals gazed ahead in their chosen with shining, glowing...
Silver Eyes.

In one currently resting ark, the structure was sitting idly within the lands and currently unmoving, but always prepared to take flight. Old ancient wood enchanted the structure and kept it more durable and powerful than a majority of futuristic armors could, as it came from a place not many could access. But this family was able to access it, once upon a time, and have occasionally used it to assist in their day to she lives since, in order to live more comfortably and securely. It had enough room to house dozens upon dozens of denizens, thought it would rarely see to do so at the current time. Enchanted chains currently kept it in place, and only certain members of the family could undo that enchanted before the ark was allowed to move again.
Many would consider this to be a sort of battleship, but this was actually the family home inherited through the ages.
A hard-working mother was finished making breakfast for her dearest daughters, with the elder ones staying home for a while in order to accommodate for their reunion. She was busy cleaning their distance while all of the sisters began eating collectively at the table. Several of the younger ones bickered slightly about having certain types of pancakes and hogging the orange juice, while the eldest sister broke them up and offered to simply have them share. There was plenty of pancakes and orange juice go around.
"Mom, where's Dad? He's not having breakfast with us?"
"He's been called out early in the night, dear. It sounded a bit serious, so he couldn't afford to delay." Their mother responded with a sigh, her hand on her cheek. "I do wonder what could have possibly been so important...?" Suddenly the door was pushed open, and the face of a tired father was seen making his way through and closing the door behind him. "Oh, my goodness, you look exhausted! What did the Holy Knights call you out for?"
"Salem's declaration, Grimm Devils, monsters and demons on the prowl, heretics following their examples...the world's about to turn into a madhouse." He grunted. "And that's not even the worst part..."
One of the sisters took to their Scrolls to see some of the images for themselves. "Pfft, heretics? Why do we have to worry about something like that?"
"Look at who's in the images."
She narrowed her eyes and huffed slightly. "I still don't see what's up. It's just some idiot riding atop a dragon...wait a minute..." She narrowed her eyes slightly, before they widened significantly as she swerved around to show the other sisters, who all gasped collectively.
Jaune Arc.
"THAT IDIOT IS OUR BROTHER!"
Their father simply sits down and sighs exhaustedly. "Our son just implicitly made himself an enemy of the Holy Knights..."
The mother soon took a deep breath as she lightly massaged the bridge of her nose. "I should be more shocked by this...but I'm not. Somehow, I'm really not. Yet knowing our son, he must have his reasons. Be that as it may, he might actually be a bigger magnet for trouble than you, dear."
"The single thing I really didn't want him to succeed me in, and he does so with flying colors...well, so long as he doesn't do anything more condemning than this, we might still have a chance to smooth things over peacefully. He's only fought alongside the dragon, after all. Surely, even with the Arc luck, there's absolutely nothing else he can do to manage to make himself look worse in this scenario. There's still time. I'll...I'll give it a bit more time for things to smooth over. And if things don't change for the better, then I'll have to go out there and see him myself, so that we can sort things out properly, together."
The Arc Matriarch's maternal instinct told her that somehow someway, her son was going to make all of that so much harder to do. She just had a maternal feeling that he would manage to do so, possiblity without even trying to. And it was going to cause his father a migraine as his son exceeds his expectations in the best and worst possible ways, simultaneously. Well, at least her son managed to indirectly liven up everyone's day.
Still, she placed a hand on her husband's hand, causing him to turn to her. She looked understandably worried. "Honey...is our family going to be alright?"
He wished he had a proper answer for her. He had desperately, badly hoped for one somewhere in his heart, mind, soul, somewhere that would allow him to say yes, they would be alright. Unfortunately, his wife could tell when he's faltering and being inside about something. She could see right through false comfort, hating it because it brought out false expectations that could never be met. It made lying to his wife almost completely impossible. So he had no choice, but to answer with sincere honesty.
"...I don't know."
"Hey! What are you doing?!"
"Calm down, girl!"
The family was briefly startled as a small blur of white and yellow hopped across the tables and up to the parents. Bright yellow eyes spot the image of Jaune on the Scroll. It tilted it's a antlered head curiously, before affectionately nudging it against the Scroll with closed eyes, wiggling it's fluffy yellow tail. Both parents looked at one another, before sighing and smiling.
"...Well...even if I'm not sure how things turn out, we can be sure of one thing. If things end up turning for the worse, we know who's going to come running to him before even us. You really miss him, don't you Juniper?" He asked, and the jackalope understood enough to lightly poke a yellow paw at Jaune's image. "You're right. Regardless of the how's and why's of this situation, or even if we might not agree with what he's currently doing, we can't assume that Jaune's gone off the deep end. We're not just going to up and turn our backs on him, no matter what happens. Thanks for the needed reminder."
Juniper calmly looked at the patriarch with her wiggling nose, as her antlers began glowing. And soon she gradually grew upwards and outwards until she was at her true size, which was quite a bit larger than the man himself. She was still gently leaning against his hand. He smiled at her, still uncertain, but in a better place than before.
"That's a good girl."
Many a thing is set to go down, both in the near future and far. As of the current moment though, we can consider this the end of the Guilds clash with the Glass Unicorn, and similarly ends with the slaying of Grimm Devil Lilith. Though there's going to be more who are prepared to pick up her slack, and continue where she left off. While of course, pursuing their own desires.
Also...finally, the main OT3, 'Fueled By Roses', officially begins! At Ruby's support, guidance, and approval, no less! Cinder concedes top wife status and official dominance to Ruby because she's known Jaune first and for a longer period of time, but Ruby considers them both equals.
Furthermore Ruby's basing her template off of a successful 'STR-Crossed Lovers' (Summer x Taiyang x Raven) union. Though in this context, the OT3 is called 'A Family Again'. It was an uphill battle for all involved, though. A tale for another time. And an important one, because the sheer struggle and pain they each had to endure to teach and maintain their current happiness, on top of Salem being the one who raised Summer, adds to the foundation of Ruby's motivations.
Also it's because of this template that Ruby is opposed to any more girls being with Jaune. She finds wholesale harems to be be the epitome of degeneracy, but paradoxically finds two wives and one husband to be perfectly acceptable cause that's what she and Yang grew up happy and strong under. She's reasonable enough to emphasize not being actively obnoxious about it, but anyone who tries to force the issue should expect very firm resistance.
Woe to those who are villainous and try to forcibly take Jaune for themselves. Ruby will remove them quickly. Cinder...well, it's Cinder.
A fun tidbit, we have High Queen Amber to round out some authority figures! She's Cinder's age, 27. Very powerful and compassionate High Queen of Vale.
In any case, that's one major threat down, and a rather turbulent, uncertain future is ahead. Our merry band of chaotic adventurers continues onwards. Ruby Rose has taken her major first step towards potentially creating an era of her own. What's in store for everyone? We'll see next time!
For better and for worse, the world began to move...
