CHAPTER 1: PROPHECY
Kendra paced the marbled halls of Fablehaven, her steps echoing the turmoil raging within her.
She stopped by a window, gazing out at the moonlit garden, her heart heavy with worry for Prince Bracken and her brother, Seth.
"Eurora, I feel so helpless," Kendra said, her voice tinged with frustration as she turned to face her friend by the ancient oak tree.
"I don't know what to do. They could be suffering, and I'm here, pacing like a caged fairy."
Eurora's ethereal wings shifted as she stepped closer, her eyes reflecting the moon's silvery glow.
"I understand, Kendra. But we need to keep a clear mind. Ronodin's power is formidable, and rash actions may lead to dire consequences."
Kendra clenched her fists, her resolve burning like a flame in her chest. "But we can't just wait here, Eurora. There has to be something we can do."
As Kendra and Eurora continued their hushed conversation under the ancient oak tree, a sense of urgency loomed in the restless night air.
The moon cast a silvery glow on their solemn faces, and the distant echoes of Fablehaven's secrets seemed to sway with the breeze.
"Eurora," Kendra's voice quivered, "I can't bear the thought of Bracken being in Ronodin's grasp. We have to save him, but I don't know where to start."
Eurora's eyes glistened with unwavering determination. "We'll find a way, Kendra. Remember, we're not alone in this. The bond between us and the magic that resonates within Fablehaven will guide us."
"But how can we even begin to challenge Ronodin's power?" Kendra's voice betrayed her profound concern.
Suddenly, Eurora fell back into her chair, eyes glowing green and distant, and her voice took on an otherworldly cadence.
Shocked into standing, Kendra knocked over her chair in her haste to rush towards her.
"Rory? Rory! Eurora?!" Kendra shook Eurora's shoulders, worried. Her eyes cleared and she smiled apologetically.
"Eurora, what happened?" Kendra asked worriedly "Did you see a prophecy again?"
"I-I-I cannot grasp it fully," Eurora replied, her eyes regaining focus.
But the Light Guardian has shown us a glimmer of hope, a way to rescue Bracken and Seth.
We must decipher this prophecy I just saw to set them free. This is very important."
