Hello all Storm here with a new chapter! Here we'll seeing the events of the episode "Runaway Subway!" with plenty of changes from canon, but with the same events happening only with some changes and new additions. So, without further ado.

"How are you feeling now?" Naruto asked as he and Mayl left her hospital room, the redhead having just been discharged after a final checkup.
"Better now, after getting some rest. Though you didn't need to stay the entire night with me." Replied Mayl, given she stayed overnight at the hospital with Naruto choosing to stay with her.
"Like I said yesterday, yes I did, so that I could make sure you were alright. Besides, mom said it was fine that I stayed, and this way I was able to give Roll back to you much sooner." Said Naruto, not minding staying overnight.
"Thanks for that Naruto, I'm feeling a lot better now too." Roll said while smiling at the whiskered blonde, now back in Mayl's PET after he finished repairing her.
"Yeah, it really means a lot you took care of Roll and fixed her up." Mayl added, glad her partner healed.
"It's no problem, I'm just glad I was able to help." Naruto replied, smiling at the girls, only to frown and look at his PET and Bass.
"What about you, Forte? Are you feeling alright?" Questioned Naruto, wondering if his NetNavi was feeling fine after the fight with TorchMan.
"Why wouldn't I be alright?" Bass said, having not even been injured by TorchMan, he instead felt stronger with his new abilities.
"I just…noticed something about the data you took from TorchMan during your fight." Said Naruto, having noticed it after he finished working on Roll and returned her to Mayl.
He wasn't sure what it was, only that the data Bass took with his Get Ability seemed strange with it being more than just the Pyrokinesis that he gained.
"How exactly did Forte do that, anyway? Taking TorchMan's ability to control fire." Questioned Mayl as she and Roll looked at them, curiously.
Having been told about the fight Bass and MegaMan had against TorchMan, including how Bass managed to steal TorchMan's Pyrokinesis. Much to their shock and intrigue that Bass was able to do something like that. Having never heard of another NetNavi with an ability like that before.
"It's Forte's Get Ability Program, he's able to take the abilities of NetNavis and Viruses he battles. Like with TorchMan, he took TorchMan's Pyrokinesis to use it against him." Naruto replied, much to their amazement.
"Wow, that's definitely a powerful ability." Mayl stated, knowing with something like that Bass could keep growing stronger and stronger the more he fights.
"Wait, why didn't you try using that on me during our battle?" Roll asked, only for Bass to look at her with a raised brow.
"You don't have any useful abilities." Said Bass, making Roll look at him in annoyance.
"Yes I do! I can turn intangible and teleport with Roll Dance, my Roll Arrow is also able of destroying attacks they hit, and I can use Auto-Heal to heal myself a little every time I land an attack." Roll said while smirking at the Black Shadow.
"Fine…abilities that wouldn't be useful to me. I can already teleport, I can simply dodge attacks, and I would have no need to heal myself if I'm never hit." Bass said, only for Roll's smirk to widen.
"Then why was I the one who was going to win our NetBattle?" Questioned Roll, with the former Solo NetNavi narrowing his eyes at her.
"Anyway, after I finished working on Roll, I noticed something about the data Forte absorbed from TorchMan. It seemed like there was something else besides the Pyrokinesis he took." Said Naruto, stopping a potential argument between the Navis.
"Is it something bad?" Mayl asked while looking at his PET.
"No, it's nothing bad or dangerous. It's just a group of data and I can't figure out what it is. I'll check it later once I get back to Lan's house to see what it is." Naruto replied before putting his PET back in his carrying case, curious to find out what the data is.
"Hey?! Hello?! Can someone please hurry up and get this thing off me?!"
Naruto and Mayl stopped when they heard the voice, recognizing it as Dex, surprising them that he's in the hospital as well. Before they looked to see what room he's in, soon finding him lying in a bed with his leg up in a sling.
"Dex? What're you doing here?" Questioned Naruto as they entered the room, much to Dex's surprise and panic as he quickly covered his leg with some nearby covers before they could notice.
"What're you two doing here?! How'd you know I was here?!" Dex said, not wanting them to find out why he's at the hospital.
"GutsMan, did you call them?!" Demanded Dex while looking at his NetNavi with a heated glare.
"No, GutsMan was about to send email to them and Lan, letting them know that Dex has boo-boo on his-" GutsMan said, only to be silenced when Dex to slam his PET down on the side table before he could finish.
"There's nothing wrong, I'm absolutely fine! Thanks for coming, but visiting hours are over!" Dex said quickly, wanting them to leave before they saw what happened.
"It's only three in the afternoon, Dex." Mayl stated with a raised brow, wondering why he seemed to be trying to make them leave.
"And clearly something is wrong if your leg is held up like that." Said Naruto while grabbing the covers, much to Dex's panic.
"No, please don't!" Dex begged, only for the Uzumaki to throw it off his leg.
"It can't be that…bad…" Naruto said, stopping as his eyes widened in disbelief while Mayl gasped at the sight.
Only for them to soon burst into laughter at seeing a black mechanical cat growling while biting down on Dex's leg with Roll soon joining them in laughing once she saw what happened. Even Bass was struggling to not laugh, though smirked in amusement at the sight.
"It isn't funny, stop laughing! This is the worst!" Yelled Dex before looking away, whimpering and crying rivers of tears in embarrassment.
"Hahahaha! I'm…I'm sorry Dex…I don't mean to laugh…it's just…AHAHAHAHAHAHA! That toy cat made you a cat toy!" Mayl said, closing her eyes to try and calm down, only to end up laughing again at the sight of the cat biting his leg.
"That monster is no toy! It's a high-tech rat trapping machine!" Dex cried, knowing he'll never be able to live this down.
"Then it seems the creator did an excellent job if it caught the largest rat it could find." Said Bass with smirk, much to Naruto's amazement before he grinned.
"See that Dex, you got Forte to tell a joke! I'd say it was worth it in the end, we should commemorate it with a picture! I'm sure Lan would love to see it!" Said Naruto, causing Dex to glare at them.
"I'll end both of you if you even think about trying! Once I get this rotten thing off of me!" Swore Dex, knowing if they take a picture he'll really never live it down.
Especially from Lan of all people! Knowing Lan will hold it over his head to get back at him for all the times he beat him in NetBattles.
"Why are you two even here?!" Dex demanded, wanting to change the subject.
"There was another fire at my house this time, the oven burst into flames and wouldn't go out. So I had to jack Roll in and there were Viruses hacking away at the mainframe." Mayl replied, after getting her laughter under control, making Dex's annoyance turn into shock and worry.
"Yeah, but it wasn't just Viruses, there was also a NetNavi behind all the fires. His name's TorchMan and he attacked me while I was dealing with the Viruses." Added Roll, still upset at how she lost against TorchMan and was forced to escape.
"We had to stay here overnight to make sure I was fine, given how long I was inside and how close I was to the fire and smoke." Said Mayl, knowing she's lucky Naruto and Lan arrived when they did before things got any worse.
"What?! Are you okay Mayl?! Who did it?! I'll take down what NetOp tried hurting you and show them they messed with the wrong person!" Said Dex as he thrashed around in his bed, wanting to take down the NetOp and NetNavi that tried hurting Mayl.
"GutsMan will crush TorchMan for hurting Roll! Let GutsMan find and beat fire starter!" GutsMan said, eager to find TorchMan and crush him for attacking Roll.
"Relax, they're both fine now. Lan and I got there in time after Roll showed up and told us what happened. We got Mayl out of there and sent TorchMan running, so hopefully there won't be any more sudden fires popping up." Naruto said, making Dex frown that he hadn't been the one to save Mayl and defeat TorchMan.
"But we should get going now, Dex. Though don't worry, we won't tell anyone about your…toy problem." Mayl said, covering her mouth to avoid laughing again.
"Maybe we won't. Have funny with the kitty, Dex!" Said Naruto with a smirk as they left Dex's room.
"Naruto! I swear if you tell anyone, I'm gonna-" Dex shouted, only to freeze when the sling holding his leg up came undone from him thrashing around.
Causing his leg to hit the bed, not helped that the sudden movement made the cat bite down even harder, causing Dex to shriek in agony at the pain.
*Later-With Naruto and Mayl*
After leaving the hospital, Naruto and Mayl headed towards Sal's shop so the Uzumaki could start getting settled into his new job. With Mayl joining him so she could have some time to relax after the hectic day she had.
"Hey, hey! What's this I see?!" Someone said, causing Naruto and Mayl to stop at the familiar voice before seeing Masa ride in front of them on his bike.
"Hey Masa." Said Naruto, smiling at the fisherman.
"If it isn't Naruto and Mayl. I bet you two are on a date now, right." Said Masa, making the whiskered blonde and redhead blush brightly.
"Wh-what?! N-no-no-no!" Mayl stuttered, embarrassed at the insinuation.
"Y-ye-ye-ye-yeah! It-it's definitely not a date! W-we just came from the hospital!" Added Naruto, only for them to lean back when Masa suddenly leaned in too close to them.
"The hospital?! I told y'all to eat yer fish and get more calcium! I just knew this was gonna happen!" Masa said, assuming they were at the hospital for not getting enough calcium.
"No, no! We're fine! We just saw Dex at the hospital-" Mayl said, about to explain what happened, only for Masa to cut her off.
"Oh no, then Dex isn't getting enough calcium!" Said Masa, now thinking Dex wasn't getting enough calcium.
"No Masa, Dex's problem isn't calcium, it's-" Said Naruto, only for Masa to keep talking.
"He's a big kid, if his bones are getting weak at such a young age it could be a serious problem!" Masa said, horrified that Dex could be developing such problems already.
Not seeing Naruto and Mayl trade a deadpan look, seeing they lost the fisherman and he wouldn't hear anything they said.
"This is a bona fide emergency! It's time for a Masa Fresh Fish Intervention! I'm coming Dex!" Said Masa, riding off towards the hospital.
"If you're going to see him, he's at DenTech Hospital!" Naruto called out, figuring they should at least tell Masa where Dex is.
"Don't forget to eat your fish and get yer calcium! And have fun on your date!" Said Masa as he ride away, much to their embarrassment.
"It's not…and he's already gone." Mayl muttered, embarrassed that Masa still thought they were in a date.
Before the two looked at each other, only to blush and quickly look away.
"L-le-let's just…keep going, we're almost to Sal's." Said Naruto, with Mayl nodding in agreement as they continued on their way.
*World Three Headquarters*
Meanwhile, after Mr. Match had reported of TorchMan's defeat, Wily had contacted another member of World Three to take Match's place in causing fear and chaos.
"Count Cap, it's time to tune up that guitar of yours and inject a bit of your heavy metal mayhem into the cyber matrix!" Wily said, looking at the screen that showed Count Zap.
Count Zap is an adult man with fair skin, blonde hair that stuck on either side of his head in two long points, and blue eyes. With his attire consisting of a white button-up shirt, a red bowtie, a moss green suit with glowing yellow trimming and buttons along with two yellow bulb-shaped shoulder pads, matching colored moss green shoes with glowing yellow lining, and yellow headphones.
"Your wish is my command, Mr. Wily." Zap said with a short bow and an eager smirk to begin spreading some mayhem, before ending the call.
'Perhaps I'll see if you are still alive, Bass.' Wily thought, thinking over Match's last reports on the NetNavis that had interfered in his plans.
*Flashback*
"The Fire Viruses were destroyed be a wee blue bloke and another one dressed in black and wearing a cloak." Match said, reporting what happened after his last fire was stopped by MegaMan and Bass.
"What?! Was it some do-gooder Net Agent that ruined my plans?!" Wily demanded, angered that someone was interfering in his plans.
"Nope, a couple of NetNavis, I'd wager a cart full of kilts on it. One of them was especially difficult, he even began absorbing the Bugs left behind from the Viruses." Said Match, causing Wily to pause and narrow his eyes.
"This Navi, you said he was wearing a cloak?" Questioned Wily, having his suspicions on who it could be, but found it hard to believe.
"Aye, angry little fellow from the looks of it. Didn't seem too happy at working with the blue one." Match replied, making the mad scientist frown.
'It couldn't be Bass. ShadowMan infected him with the Virus that I personally created to ensure his deletion. Even if by some miracle he survived, Bass would never work with another NetNavi, let alone have a NetOp. He certainly wouldn't care to deal with a few Viruses causing fires either. But still…' Wily thought, knowing he needed to be sure.
"Mr Match, if these Navis show up again, make sure that the blue one is deleted! As for the black one, find out more about him, but delete him as well if you can." Wily ordered, wanting to be sure if Bass really is still alive before deciding anything.
"Aye, Mr. Wily." Said Match before ending the call.
*End Flashback*
'Then not even a day later, Mr. Match returns in failure. Defeated by these lowly NetNavis!' Wily thought, scowling at how Mr. Match contacted him again not long after.
*Flashback*
"What is it now, Mr. Match?" Demanded Wily as a screen appeared showing Mr. Match.
"I'm sorry Mr. Wily, but TorchMan and I…we failed." Said Match, hanging his head in disappointment at being defeat.
"What?! What happened?!" Wily said at what he just heard.
"It was those meddlesome NetNavis sir! They showed up at my last fire and wiped out the Viruses, while nearly deleting TorchMan as well!" Match said, having been relieved her jacked out TorchMan in time before he was deleted.
"…What do you mean, nearly?" Questioned Wily, narrowing his eyes, knowing if Bass was in fact one of these Navis then he would have easily deleted TorchMan.
"Just as I said, the black one fought off TorchMan while the blue one stayed back. That is until their NetOps arrived and attacked him together, blasting TorchMan and cutting off one of his arms. If I didn't jack him out, then he would've been lost." Said Match, making Wily frown as his skepticism at Bass's survival only grew.
"The black one, did you learn anything about him?" Wily asked, knowing he needed more information.
"Not much sir, though I did get a name, Forte. That's what the blue one called him." Match replied, with Wily nodding at this.
"I see. That's all, Mr. Match." Said Wily as he cut the connection.
*End Flashback*
While Wily's still skeptical at the idea that the Bass could've somehow survived his Virus, he also couldn't immediately dismiss the possibility. As if the Black Shadow is still alive, then the Virus likely still weakened him enough to the point he has to rely on a NetOp for help.
'And if that's the case, you'll finally be brought under my control Bass and if not, this time I will make sure you are deleted for good.' Wily thought, laughing wickedly as either option means he won't have to worry about Bass getting in his way again.
*Later – Sal's Shop*
It wasn't long before Naruto and Mayl arrived at Sal's shop, with Naruto being put to work by the greenette while Mayl sat down at a table.
"Thanks Sal, this'll really help me relax." Mayl said, smiling at Sal as she handed her a cup of tea.
"No problem Mayl, I'm happy to help after the day you had. And it's on the house too, so just enjoy and relax." Replied Sal, returning the smile, before she looked at the Uzumaki as he watered the plants.
"Though Naruto, are you alright getting settled and prepared today?" Sal asked, knowing he's likely just as stressed as Mayl after what happened yesterday.
"Don't worry, I'm fine to get started Sal. Besides, this does help me take my mind off of what happened and think about something else." Naruto said, with Sal nodding at this.
"Alright, if you're sure. But if you want, you can leave early today so you and Mayl can still hangout around DenTech City since you don't officially start until tomorrow. So it wouldn't be a problem if you left, early." Said Sal, not wanting him to be overstressed by working on top of what happened.
"Thanks Sal." Said Naruto, smiling at the greenette, which she returned before looking at them curiously.
"By the way, I also heard that Dex was taken to the hospital as well, something about being bit. Is he alright?" Sal asked, only to feel even more curious when Naruto and Mayl began laughing lightly.
"Oh don't worry, he's fine. As for what bit him, and is still biting him, is just a robotic toy cat." Mayl said, causing Sal to cough into her hand while suppressing her laughter.
"Wh-what? A robot toy cat bit him?" Said Sal, unable to help but smile in amusement.
"Yeah! It's just biting his leg and won't let go!" Said Naruto with a smirk.
"It is really funny! Though jokes aside, it is strange. Why would a robotic rat catcher just suddenly bite someone, like that?" Said Roll, finding it funny but also strange as to why it happened.
"It is pretty strange. Though if I had to guess, World Three could be behind it. What do you think, Naruto?" Mayl asked, looking at the whiskered blonde, while Sal glanced at them at the mention of World Three.
"I wouldn't be surprised if it was World Three. Given how they have a NetNavi like TorchMan that can start fires, then there's a chance they have another Navi that could mess with electronics and stuff." Naruto replied, figuring it's possible World Three had a NetNavi like that, which would likely make it even more dangerous than TorchMan had been.
*Unknown Location*
Unknown to Naruto and Mayl, out in DenTech City, a clocktower began sparking as the hands began rapidly spinning around.
"Time to cause a little havoc!" Said a voice before the clock exploded, sending the hands falling to the ground as people ran to avoid getting hit.
Before several radios and speakers at an electronics store started sparking as well.
"Mayhem on the AM dime!" The voice said as it made the radios begin shooting out CDs everywhere, causing the customers and employees to run or fall to the ground.
"And for the shocking finale, a mighty wind to bring it all home!" Said the voice, using a vacuum in an appliance store to suck up everything and everyone in a store.
Before they moved to a toy store, where a robotic reddish-orange fox was surrounded with electricity as its eyes lit up. Getting up, the fox growled before jumping off the shelf and running out the store.
*DenTech Hospital*
While at the hospital, Masa had soon arrived and headed straight for Dex's room, only to discover the real reason Dex was in the hospital. Much to his embarrassment that another person now knew about the cat biting him. Though was thankful when Masa offered to help get the cat off of him, only for it to start fading at seeing the fisherman's methods.
"Hey Masa." Dex said, watching as Masa swung a fish back and forth in front of the cat.
"Yeah what?" Said Masa, watching the fish to see if the cat will be tempted by it.
"I'm getting sleepy, but the cats not even paying attention." Said Dex, much to Masa's confusion as he looked at the cat to see it wasn't paying attention.
"I thought all cats love fish." Masa stated, making them sigh in disappointment at the failure.
"Maybe we just need something with a stronger smell. Hey! He's a metal critter, how about some canned tuna!" Said Masa before he began searching his cooler for some tuna, much to Dex's annoyance.
"Tuna?! AGH! It's a robot Masa, it can't even eat fish! Why did you even come here, anyway?!" Dex shouted, wondering why and how Masa learned he's in the hospital.
"Hey, take it easy pal, you're gonna hurt yourself! And I ran into Naruto and Mayl while they were in their date, where they told me you were in the hospital. So I ca-GAH!" Masa said only to gag when Dex grabbed his collar.
"Date?! What do you mean date?! There's no way Mayl would go on a date with Naruto! Where were they going?! Were they holding hands?! Is it just because he saved her, instead of me?!" Demanded Dex, refusing to believe Mayl would accept going on a date with Naruto rather than him.
"H-hey, you're choking me! Lemme go you punk!" Said Masa, trying to get Dex to let go, only for his hand to end up grabbing and pulling the sling holding Dex's leg up.
Causing the sling to come undone, with Dex freezing as his leg hit the bed and the cat bit down, making him shriek in agony…again.
*Later - With Naruto and Mayl*
"See you tomorrow, Sal!" Naruto said, waving to the greenette.
"Yeah, see you Sal, and thanks again for the tea!" Said Mayl, waving as well as they left the shop.
"No problem, enjoy the rest of your day!" Sal replied while waving at the two as they left.
After leaving the flower shop, Naruto and Mayl simply began walking around the city, not having a particular destination in mind.
"So, how did your NetBattle against Lan go?" Mayl asked while looking at Naruto, curious of how his rematch with Lan went.
"It was pretty good, MegaMan is a really strong NetNavi and was able to keep up with Forte the entire time. Though we did have some problems with him accepting help, again." Said Naruto while looking at Bass, who grunted in annoyance.
"That's not surprising. How close were you to losing this time?" Said Roll with a teasing smirk, making the Black Shadow give her a side-glare.
"But we were able to start working together and the battle was pretty even. You even looked like you were having fun, Forte." Naruto said, smiling at his NetNavi, having seen that he seemed to be enjoying the battle.
"I was not having fun. It was merely good to finally have a fight where I had a challenge, otherwise it would be boring if all battles were so easily won." Bass stated, not wanting the whiskered blonde to think NetBattling is fun for him.
"Aww, did someone finally make a friend? That's so sweet." Cooed Roll, much to Bass's growing annoyance.
"I said no such thing! I am merely acknowledging that unlike every other Navi, MegaMan might provide me continued entertainment longer than I expected. At least until I've grown strong enough to defeat him as well." Retorted Bass.
"There's nothing wrong with seeing him as a friend, Forte. But I guess you would see MegaMan more as a rival." Mayl said, smiling slightly at the former Solo NetNavi, starting to see he wasn't as big of a jerk as she initially believed, plus he did help stop TorchMan.
"That would imply he would be a constant challenge, he won't. It's just a matter of time before I surpass him and anyone else. I have no need for something like a rival." Bass stated, knowing such a thing would mean he'd admit someone is his equal or superior that he'll surpass.
Something Bass would never do given once he regains his strength and finally deletes Serenade, he'll be the strongest NetNavi with no one that could hope to rival him at his full power.
"And what if MegaMan keeps getting stronger too? That means he'll always be able to challenge you." Said Naruto, only for Bass to grunt in annoyance and looked away.
"Well I'm sure you both will do great in your next NetBattle and win a lot in no time. Though, hopefully, without any more interruptions." Mayl said, making Naruto nod in agreement given the last two NetBattles they've had were interrupted before they were concluded.
"Thanks Mayl. And I hope we'll be having a rematch again since you're a really great battler. But next time, let's keep it to just Forte and Roll." Said Naruto, only for Mayl and Roll to smirk at him.
"Sorry Naruto, but if you want to battle me, then you'll have to battle my Chess Pieces too." Said Mayl as she'll be free to use any Battle Chips she wants, including her Chess Pieces.
"Yeah. If you want to fight the queen, then you'll need to get through my army. Unless you'd like a position as my new knight." Roll added with a smirk, making the Naruto chuckle lightly and smirk at them.
"Fine then, but that just means neither of you will have any excuses after we beat all of your pieces and then you." Naruto said, not minding the extra challenge, knowing Bass could handle it as long as his pride doesn't get in the way.
"Bring it-huh?" Mayl said, only to stop when she saw someone, making Naruto look where she was.
"Is that Ms. Mari?" Asked Mayl upon seeing their teacher across the street, with her looking rather nervous as she entered a shop.
"Yeah it is, and I think that's Miyu's shop she just went in." Said Naruto before they went over to see why she's there.
Looking through the window, they saw Ms. Mari sit across from Miyu behind the counter with her crystal ball.
"Huh, I didn't think Ms. Mari would be interested in this kind of stuff or going to see a fortune teller. But that would explain why she looked nervous." Mayl said as Naruto nodded in agreement as they looked at the different antiques.
"It looks like Miyu might've gotten some new stuff since I was last here. I wonder what else she's gotten." Naruto said, curious at what kind of new antiques Miyu has gotten, making the redhead smile at him in amusement.
"You know, it's really funny how you're interested in the occult, but you and your mother are afraid of ghosts." Mayl stated, causing the Uzumaki to look at her in annoyance.
"It's a legitimate fear! You can fight things like demons, zombies and other supernatural creatures. But with ghosts, unless you have some special ability or technology that lets you physically interact with them, then you can't hurt them but they can hurt you! The only exception being ghost-based Viruses, and even then they're still difficult to deal with, but they can still be fought and dealt with." Said Naruto, with Mayl giggling at his reaction.
"Whatever you say. Come on, let's go in." Said Mayl as they headed into Miyu's shop.
"Hey Ms. Mari!" Naruto said, causing the teacher to jump in her seat before slowly turning to see the whiskered blonde and redhead, much to her embarrassment.
'What are Naruto and Mayl doing here?! This is so embarrassing!' Mari thought, not believing two of her students saw her here to see a fortune teller.
"I didn't think you were interested in this kind of stuff, Ms. Mari. Or is this your first time here?" Naruto asked as they walked up to the counter, with Mari smiling to cover up her embarrassment.
"This is actually my first time." Mari replied, while Mayl went up to the counter.
"Mine too. I always wanted to have my fortune read. Could you please read mine, Miyu?" Said Mayl, curious to know what her fortune would be.
"And sorry if we interrupted Miyu, we were just curious after seeing Ms. Mari come here." Said Naruto, only for the bluenette to shake her head with her eyes closed.
"It's fine, Naruto, but I require silence. Though congratulations on now having a NetNavi, it's also nice to finally meet you, Forte." Miyu said, opening one of her eyes slightly to look at Naruto's PET while her words surprised the three.
"Is that a vision you had?" Questioned Ms. Mari, surprised at how she would know Naruto now had a NetNavi and his name.
"No, Sal told me. We are friends after all and our shops are close to one another, she told me that Naruto now had a NetNavi." Said Miyu, not telling them that she also knew due to her job as a Net Agent.
'And even now, I still can't read Naruto's future. But not just his, I can't see anything involving Bass either. Granted I've never tried getting a vision involving Bass. Is this because he's now Naruto's NetNavi, making his future just as unpredictable as Naruto's? Or is he simply too powerful for me to perceive what his future holds?' Miyu thought, knowing that could be dangerous if they're unable to predict what Bass will do.
"So, do you see anything?" Mayl asked, looking at the crystal ball.
Before Miyu could say anything, everyone was startled at a sudden cry of agony from outside, making them rush outside to see if someone was hurt or needed help. Only to see Dex lying on the sidewalk with the cat still biting his leg, but now he had a robotic fox biting him as well.
"Get off of me you crazy monsters! Why are you even biting me?!" Dex screamed, not believing he now had two robots biting him now.
"Uh Dex, what're you doing here?" Mayl asked, wondering why he wasn't still at the hospital and how he even got this far with the cat biting him.
"Oh my goodness! What happened?!" Mari asked in concern upon seeing one of her students being bitten by two robotic animals.
"Get off, you tin can!" Said Dex, swinging his leg to try and thrown them off, managing to succeed in making the fox let go.
"You really have a way with animals." Stated Naruto while Dex held his leg.
Only to hear Mari scream, making him look to see the fox leap at her with the brunette moving to avoid getting bit as well. Though the fox ended up catching her purses strap around its neck, ripping it off her arm and running off with it.
"That fox just stole my handbag!" Said Mari, worried at where it'd take her bag.
"I'll get it!" Naruto said, running after the fox.
"We won't get very far on foot, and we don't have my scooter or your skateboard!" Said Mayl, running to catch the fox as well.
Looking around for something they could use to catch the fox, the Uzumaki spotted an electric bike nearby.
"There!" Said Naruto, pointing at the bike, with the redhead nodding in agreement as they went to the bike.
"Roll, help get this thing moving!" Mayl said, jacking in to the bike.
"Right! Hang on!" Roll said as she powered up the bike and had it begin speeding after the fox.
The two managed to catch up to the fox on the bike with Naruto trying to lean over and grab the bag, only for the fox to prove faster than they expected.
"Come on, just hold still!" Naruto said as he tried swiping the bag from the fox, before it suddenly shot forward and down into a subway tunnel.
"Oh no! If it goes down there, we'll never be able to catch it!" Said Mayl upon seeing where the fox was going.
"We just have to keep following it!" Said Naruto as the bike came to a stop outside the tunnel before they got off and chased the fox down it.
Running down the escalator, Naruto and Mayl saw the fox jump over the gate and run into a subway train, making them run faster to reach it in time. Swiping their passes to open the gate before quickly running into the train car just as the doors closed behind them.
"We…made it…" Mayl said in between breaths, relieved they got onto the train in time.
"Yeah, now we just need to find that fox." Said Naruto, looking around the train car for where the fox could be.
With them soon spotting the fox sitting in the middle of the train car with Mari's bag around its neck, making the Uzumaki slowly approach it in case it tries attacking them. Though the closer he got and saw the fox wasn't making a move to attack or run again, Naruto knelt down and held a hand out to it.
"Careful." Said Mayl in worry of him getting bit as well, only to be surprised when the fox nuzzled against Naruto's hand.
"He's friendly now." Naruto said in confusion petting the fox on the head before grabbing Mari's bag, with Mayl moving closer at seeing the fox wasn't dangerous any more.
"Do you think a Virus did that to him?" Questioned Mayl, before they cried out when the train suddenly began rocking and speeding up.
"What're happening?!" Mayl said when she saw the speed the train was going, seeing how fast it was rising.
"Whatever Virus was messing with the fox; it looks like it jumped into the train!" Said Naruto, knowing if the train kept moving at this speed it'll either collide with another train or they'll eventually run out of track.
Moving to the front of the train, Naruto and Mayl saw a crowd of passengers gathered at the front compartment where the conductor was. Seeing why when they got close and saw the conductor was unconscious inside and the door wouldn't open.
'Damnit!' Naruto thought, looking around for something that could get the door open, before spotting a fire extinguisher on the wall.
"Everyone, get out of the way!" Said Naruto, grabbing the extinguisher and ran at the door as everyone moved.
Smashing the door window with the extinguisher, Naruto climbed through and opened the door from the other side. Letting some of the passengers carry the driver out while he and Mayl went inside to try and stop the train.
"I'm not sure we'll be able to stop the train Naruto. These controls look pretty complicated." Mayl stated, not sure if they can stop the train in time before it crashes into something.
"Then it's a good thing we won't be the ones trying to stop it. Forte, do you think you can take out whatever Viruses are messing with the train?" Naruto asked while looking at his NetNavi.
"Do you even need to ask." Bass said rhetorically, knowing he can handle whatever Viruses are infecting the train.
"Alright then! Jack-in! Forte, power up!" Said Naruto, plugging into the train's control terminal.

Appearing in the train's mainframe, Bass saw a large swarm of Billy and Twisty Viruses were surrounding and attacking the train's operating programs.
"Fire Bombs!" Bass said, turning his arm into his Shooting Buster and fired several bombs at the Viruses, with each of them exploding into rings of fire taking out multiple Viruses at once.
Seeing the new threat, the Viruses turned towards Bass with the Billies shooting out several electric orbs at the Black Shadow. Only for Bass to jump out of the way of the rather slow moving attacks, while returning his hand to normal and gathering flames in his hands.
"Fire Arm!" Bass said, unleashing two jets of fire at the Viruses, wiping out even more of them.
"Hell's Rolling!" Said Bass once he landed on the ground, creating three wheels of darkness that began speeding around and deleting the stationary Twisties, before soon just the Billies were left.
"Tsk, you Viruses are pathetic. Air Burst!" Bass said, turning his arms into his Shooting Busters before firing two green, high-speed energy blasts at the Billies.
Both shots detonating on impact in massive explosions, deleting all of the Billies at once from the power of the explosions.
*Real World*
"It's done, the Viruses are dealt with. You should be able to manually stop the train since the operator programs won't be doing anything for a while." Bass said, making Naruto smile.
"Good job Forte. Though keep a look out in case there was a World Three NetNavi controlling them." Said Naruto, with Bass simply nodding.
Looking at the controls, Naruto found the dial to switch from autopilot to manual control before hitting the breaks, causing the flaps on top of the train to unfold to bring it to a stop. With it taking a while due to the speed before, thankfully, the train began slowing down until eventually coming to a complete stop.
"Phew, that was really close." Mayl said in relief that they were able to stop the train in time.
"Yeah. Good job handling the Viruses Forte, now let's-watch out!" Said Naruto, only to see something behind Bass.

Bass's eyes widened slightly before he immediately rolled out of the way, doing so just in time to avoid being hit by a bolt of lightning.
"Hey kid, you've just gone too far." Said a voice, with Bass quickly turning and aiming his Shooting Buster at who spoke, finding it was a NetNavi.
He was a humanoid NetNavi with grey skin, red eyes, and yellow lightning bolt markings under his eyes. With him wearing a dark greyish-purple suit with a yellow line going down the middle, with connected matching colored boots with yellow lining going around them and being grey around his knees, plated yellow metal gauntlets on his hands that had grey points on the tips of his fingers, yellow armor on his shoulders and chest with a dark greyish-purple going through the center, and four lightning arresters on his back. With his Navi Emblem is a grey lightning bolt on a black background in a grey ring on the center of his chest armor.
"So, I take it you're the World Three NetNavi behind this." Bass stated with a smirk, seeing the new power he'll be getting soon.
"That's right. The name's ElecMan and I'm here to delete you." Said ElecMan, annoyed at his mayhem being ruined and intended to delete Bass for interfering.
"TorchMan said something similar. Here's what happened to him. Fire Bomb!" Said Bass. shooting multiple Fire Bombs at ElecMan.
Only for the Electric-Type Navi to vanish in bursts of speed, dodging the bombs before they could hit him, before vanishing entirely.
"I'm sure you'll see I'm much faster than TorchMan. Direct Current!" ElecMan said, appearing behind Bass and grabbing his shoulder.
Before releasing a stream of electricity into his body, making Bass grit his teeth as he was electrocuted.
"And I'm a lot stronger than both of you! Burning Body!" Bass said, unleashing a large amount of flames from his body, throwing ElecMan back, making him cry out from the fire.
"Thunder Ball!" Said ElecMan, creating a ball of lightning and launched it at Bass.
Jumping out of the way of the electric orb, Bass saw it had homed in on him and kept chasing after him.
"Reflector! Sensor! Battle Chips in, download!" Said Naruto, sliding in a Battle Chip, forming a barrier around Bass which the Thunder Ball collided against, causing it to be launched back at ElecMan as a shockwave.
Grunting as the shockwave slammed into him, sending ElecMan crashing into a wall before he got back up and prepared to attack again.
"Wait ElecMan! We don't have time for this, it's time for Plan B! We're going to rock this entire city with a shock unlike any before!" Said Count Zap, stopping ElecMan from attacking, with the Navi smirking at hearing they'll be going with Plan B.
"Looks like you get to stay around a little longer, kid. But you'll be seeing me again soon enough, you and the rest of the city." Said ElecMan before vanishing in a bolt of lightning, much to Bass's annoyance.
*Real World*
"He got away!" Bass said, not liking that ElecMan escaped before he could take his powers.
"Don't worry, he won't be getting far. I used a Sensor Battle Chip along with Reflector, planting a Killer Eye Virus on him, so we'll be able to track where he's going." Said Naruto, much to Bass's pleasure that they'll be going after ElecMan.
"Good thinking, Naruto. Now let's go! Since from what ElecMan said, him and his NetOp aren't done yet!" Said Mayl as the whiskered blonde nodded in agreement as they quickly ran out of the control compartment.
Only to see the robot fox outside as if waiting for them, with the fox barking at them and seemed to be motioning them to follow it.
"Does the fox…want us to follow it?" Mayl said in confusion.
"It must be trying to lead us to ElecMan, too! Since ElecMan was the one that activated it, the fox must recognize ElecMan's electric frequency and where he's heading next!" Said Roll, seeing what the fox was doing.
"Then lead the way bud!" Said Naruto, with the fox taking off while Naruto and Mayl followed behind it.
With the fox and Killer Eye Virus planted on ElecMan, the two moved through DenTech City until they soon arrived at the power plant.
"Oh no! If ElecMan's gone here…" Said Mayl, worried that ElecMan had gone to the power plant.
"Then he could either haywire every electronic in the city all at once, or overload the powerplant and take out every electronic on the grid!" Naruto said, knowing they needed to stop ElecMan before he did either of those things.
"Let's go!" Mayl said as they ran into the power plant, finding all of the machinery emitting electricity.
Moving to the control room, Naruto and Mayl had to move fast while avoiding the electrified machinery, with there being a few close calls before they finally arrived.
"Ready to finish this Forte?!" Said Naruto, pulling out his PET and looking at Bass.
"Just send me in, already!" Bass said, wanting to take ElecMan's power and delete him, with the Uzumaki nodding in response.
"Okay! Jack-in! Forte, power up!" Naruto said, jacking in to the controls.
"You're up too, Roll! Jack-in! Roll, power up!" Said Mayl, jacking Roll in as well.

Appearing in the plant's mainframe, Bass and Roll saw the entire place was electrified with a large amount of thunderclouds covering the sky. And at the center of it all was ElecMan surrounded by lightning.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh man, I've never felt so much power at once! I feel like I could bring down all of DenTech City with the amount of juice flowing through me!" ElecMan said, having never felt as powerful as he did now.
"I hope you enjoyed it, because it's over now! Roll Blast!" Said Roll, kissing her fingers and releasing a wave of hearts at ElecMan with the Electric-type NetNavi turning towards them with a smirk.
"Thanks for the offer to test out my new power! Lightning Burst!" Said ElecMan, unleashing a powerful blast of lightning that vaporized the hearts and rushed towards Roll and Bass.
"Step Sword! Battle Chip in, download!" Naruto said, inserting a Battle Chip.
"Area Steal! Battle Chip in, download!" Said Mayl, putting in her own Battle Chip.
With Bass's hand turning into a purple sword before rushing straight towards ElecMan, phasing through his lightning in the process. While Roll vanished from the sight just as the lightning blast impacted where they had been standing.
"Oh you wanna use swords? Alright! Dash Elec Sword!" ElecMan said, turning his arm into an Elec Sword and dashing at Bass with the two colliding together, releasing an electrified shockwave.
"Too bad for you, I have more than one! Dark Arm Blade!" Bass said, forming his Dark Sword in his other hand and slashing at ElecMan.
Only to be surprised when ElecMan stopped it with his hand and smirked at the Black Shadow.
"Try harder. Lightning Blaze!" Said ElecMan, kicking Bass away before calling down a bolt of lightning right on top of Bass, making him grit his teeth as he electrocuted.
"How's this then?! Air Shot! Battle Chip in, download!" Mayl said, using another Battle Chip while Roll jumped into the air behind ElecMan with her arm turning into a fan cannon before firing a vortex of wind at ElecMan, only for him to turn around and aim his fist at her.
"You think a little wind will stop me?! Thunder Bolt!" Said ElecMan, firing a blast of lightning that burst through the vortex with it hitting Roll, making her cry out from the impact.
"Thunder Ball!" ElecMan said, creating several balls of lightning and launched them at Bass and Roll.
"Roll Dance!" Said Roll, turning her body into golden dust with the Thunder Balls passing through her as she teleported away.
"Fire Bomb!" Bass said, turning his arm into his Shooting Buster and firing multiple Fire Bombs at the Thunder Balls, triggering explosions of fire and electricity on impact.
"Dash Elec Sword!" Said ElecMan, dashing through the explosions at Bass with his Elec Sword.
"Heat Blade!" Bass said, forming his Heat Blade and swinging it against ElecMan's Elec Sword, with both Navis trying to overpower the other.
"Fan! Battle Chip in, download!" Mayl said, using another Battle Chip before a large blue fan appeared and began sucking in wind, along with ElecMan much to his surprise.
"What's going-" ElecMan said, only to grunt when Bass took the opportunity to slam his foot into his chest, sending the Electric-type NetNavi flying towards the fan.
"Blower! Battle Chip in, download!" Said Naruto, inserting a Battle Chip, causing a tornado of fire to surround ElecMan and the fan, keeping him trapped inside with the fan pulling him close.
With Bass and Roll seeing their chance to attack with ElecMan being restrained, before Bass formed his Shooting Busters while Roll made her longbow.
"Buster Rake!" Bass said, unleashing a volley of high-speed blasts towards ElecMan.
"Roll Arrow!" Said Roll, firing several bolts at ElecMan.
Both NetNavis kept up their attacks, hoping they'll force ElecMan to logout or potentially delete him with the onslaught.
"Burner Bombs!" Said Bass, shooting multiple bombs out around the fire tornado, in case ElecMan manages to escape, the bombs will be able to hold him back a little.
"Roll Blast!" Roll said, dismissing her bow and kissing her fingers before releasing a wave of hearts towards ElecMan.
"Air Burst!" Bass said, finishing the assault with a charged green shot, launching it at high-speeds towards ElecMan.
But just before their attacks hit the tornado, ElecMan gave a shout and released a powerful blast of lightning, vaporizing all their attacks and the fan.
"Lightning Blaze!" ElecMan shouted, calling down dozens of lightning bolts, causing them to crash down all around the area and forcing Bass and Roll to keep moving.
"Forte!" Roll said, holding out her hand to the Black Shadow with Bass understanding what she was doing.
"This better be useful!" Said Bass, grabbing her hand and using his Get Ability on the pink NetNavi.
"Time for a real shock! Electric Blaze!" Said ElecMan calling down another lightning bolt right on top of himself, absorbing it into his lightning arresters.
Before he channeled it into the hands and fired a powerful blast of lightning right at Bass and Roll.
"Roll Dance!" Said Roll, turning her body into golden dust avoiding the lightning.
Unfortunately, Bass couldn't dodge the lightning in time, being electrocuted before exploding into purple dust, making ElecMan smirk at seeing he's deleted one of them.
"That's one of you down! How about you quit while you can!" ElecMan said, looking around for where Roll was.
"Here's our answer! Drain! Battle Chips In, download!" Said Mayl, putting in another Battle Chip, causing four Mosqurito Viruses to appear around ElecMan.
"Fine! Don't say I didn't give you the chance to save your Navi! Spark Strike!" ElecMan said, shooting a blast of lightning at the Viruses when they charged at him.
"Roll Flash! Roll Dance!" Roll said, appearing behind ElecMan and striking him with her antennae, knocking him forward, before turning into golden dust and teleporting away.
"You little-!" ElecMan said, only to grunt when one of the Mosqurito's slammed into his side, draining some of his energy.
"Dash Elec Sword!" Said ElecMan, dashing forward and destroying the remaining Viruses with his sword.
"Area Steal! Battle Chip in, download!" Said Mayl, using another Battle Chip, with Roll appearing right in front of ElecMan with her long bow, much to his surprise.
"Roll Arrow!" Said Roll, firing the charged bolt at ElecMan with it exploding on contact and sending him flying back.
"I'm gonna fry you! Lightning-" ElecMan said, only to be consumed in a fiery explosion, having not seen that he landed near Bass's Burner Bombs as they finally detonated.
"You really should be more aware of your surroundings." Roll stated with a smirk, only to cry out when a blast of lightning shot out of the fire, smashing right into her and sending Roll crashing into a wall.
"And you should really learn to watch your mouth! Thunder Ba-" ElecMan said as he went to create a much larger Thunder Ball to delete Roll as well.
Only for his eyes to widen in shock and cry out as a hand grabbed his shoulder and began absorbing his data.
"Didn't she just say to be more aware of your surroundings." Bass stated, smirking as he took ElecMan's Electrokinesis.
"Thunder Bolt!" Said Bass, releasing a bolt of crimson lightning right into ElecMan's back, making him scream in pain and be sent crashing into a wall.
"Now here's this! Aqua Tower! Battle Chip in, download!" Mayl said, putting in another Battle Chip, while Roll recovered from the previous hit.
"Aqua Tower!" Said Roll, slamming her hand onto the ground, creating a geyser of water that rushed towards ElecMan.
"Lightning Blaze!" Bass said, calling down crimson lightning on top of ElecMan, electrifying the Aqua Tower and intensifying the damage.
Before ElecMan gave a shout and released a burst of lightning, blasting away the attacks and getting up, while glaring at the NetNavis.
"How are you still alive?! I deleted you!" ElecMan said, wondering how Bass was still around.
"You aren't the only one here whose abilities I could take, she's just the only that offered." Said Bass, having made it seem like he was deleted using his new Roll Dance, or Bass Dance, turning his body into purple dust and reforming when he saw a chance to take ElecMan's powers.
"Then this time, I'll just make sure you're deleted for real! Electric Blaze!" ElecMan said, calling down a bolt of lightning on top of himself.
"We'll see who's deleted. Electric Blaze!" Said Bass calling down his own crimson bolt on top of himself.
Both Navis unleashing blasts of electricity that collided against each other, with ElecMan gritting his teeth as he tried overpowering Bass. Only for the Black Shadow's lightning to begin pushing his back, much to his disbelief.
"This'll help finish it! Cyclone! Battle Chip in, download!" Mayl said, inserting a Battle Chip, causing a large tornado to form around ElecMan.
"No! No! No! NOOOOO!" ElecMan shouted as he tried holding his ground, only to be thrown into the air and knocked around by the tornado before being thrown out.
"And here's one last Roll Blast for you!" Said Roll, using Roll Dance to teleport above ElecMan, kissing her fingers and releasing a wave of hearts that slammed into him and exploded, sending the Electric-type NetNavi towards Bass.
"Now to finish it for good! Long Sword! Battle Chip in, download!" Said Naruto, putting in a Battle Chip as Bass gained a long purple sword.
"Dash Elec Sword!" Bass said creating a second sword of crimson lightning and dashed straight at ElecMan.
Slashing both his swords across ElecMan and destroying all four of his lightning arresters, making him cry out as he crashed into the ground while Bass and Roll landed across from him. Only for ElecMan to grit his teeth and struggle to get back up, only to collapse to the ground.
"D-do-don't…don't think…this is…over…I'll…be back!" Said ElecMan before he was logged out.
"ElecMan logging out."
"Oh yeah! That's how it's done!" Roll cheered at their victory.
"Hmph, I suppose you did alright." Said Bass, making the pink NetNavi look at him before smirking.
"And you're welcome for letting you have my abilities, which helped us win the fight." Said Roll, with Bass making a "Tsk" sound before logging himself out.
*Real World*
"Now that…really was a close one." Mayl said, sighing in relief as she jacked-out Roll, with Naruto nodding in agreement.
"No kidding. ElecMan was definitely stronger than TorchMan had been." Said Naruto, not expecting ElecMan to be that strong.
"Only because of the power he absorbed from the plant. Otherwise I would've been able to handle him, myself." Bass stated, knowing that's the only reason ElecMan was so challenging.
"You know you could just accept that we made a good team in defeating him." Said Roll, crossing her arms and narrowing her eyes at him.
"I admit you were a useful distraction so that I could finish him." Said Bass, making the female Navi roll her eyes at him.
"Let's go, and hope that nothing else happens. Since that honestly took any and all energy I had for today." Said Mayl, feeling tired from chasing the robot fox, stopping a runaway subway train, then tracking ElecMan down and having to stop him from overloading the power plant.
"Definitely. But at least we stopped another World Three plot, so that's good at least." Naruto said as they exited the control room, finding the fox waiting for them.
"And thank you for helping lead us here, buddy." Said Naruto, smiling and petting the fox on the head, with it letting out a bark before following them out of the plant.
Though once they exited the plant, Naruto and Mayl were surprised to see Masa, Sal, Miyu, Ms. Mari and Dex outside, waiting for them.
"When did you all get here? And why are you all here?" Naruto asked, not expecting to see them here.
"I wanted to make sure you both were alright after chasing after that fox and then hearing about a subway being controlled." Ms. Mari said, having been worried about her students when they ran off.
"The same for me, I wished to help and make sure you were alright." Said Miyu, knowing that World Three was likely behind this and would've sent in SkullMan if necessary.
"Miyu called and told me what happened, so I came to help as well." Sal said, having wanted to make sure they were alright after Miyu's call, and from what she said it was likely a NetNavi with control over electricity, which WoodMan would've been very useful against.
"I've been following Dex all the way from the hospital, after he ran off." Said Masa, having gone after Dex when he snuck away from his room, before hearing what happened and followed everyone.
"And I was going to make sure to handle whatever crazy Virus or NetNavi messed with the subway and tried hurting Mayl! But I guess you already handled it, but that Navi should be lucky it wasn't me! Otherwise GutsMan would've beaten them down before they could even-AAAAHHHHHH!" Said Dex, only to shriek in agony when the fox lunged forward and bit his leg again.
"WHY?!" Dex screamed, rolling on the ground, wondering why these things keep biting him.
"Well…thanks for coming everyone, but we're both fine, just tired from everything. And here you go, Ms. Mari. We managed to get you your bag back." Mayl said, smiling at the teacher and returning her bag, much to her gratitude.
"Thank you both, Naruto, Mayl. But what exactly happened?" Mari asked, with the others being curious as well.
"It was a World Three NetNavi called ElecMan causing all the problems. He took control of the subway but we managed to delete the Viruses controlling the train. But then he escaped here to the power plant and it seemed like he was planning on overloading it." Explained Naruto, much to their shock and concern.
"What?! Are you both alright?!" Said Ms. Mari, concerned at what happened to her students.
"I should've helped, even with these crazy things biting me!" Dex said, not liking that his friends had gone against a powerful NetNavi like that while he was held back by the cat biting him.
"We're both fine. ElecMan though was really strong from using the electric power in the plant, but Roll and Forte were able to defeat him. So we shouldn't have to worry about any more electronics being tampered with or exploding." Mayl assured, much to their relief, with Mari smiling proudly at them.
"Well even if I don't like you two getting into such dangerous situations. I'm proud of you both for stopping World Three's plot." Mari said, proud of her students and how well they handled themselves.
The secret Net Agents nodded in agreement, impressed they took down ElecMan even when he was super charged by the power plant. Though they were also intrigued that Bass helped fight him off, both at the subway and at the plant. Given it seemed very out of character for Bass, with everything they heard about him.
"Yeah, it's real great. Now can someone PLEASE GET THESE THINGS OFF OF ME?!" Dex screamed and shook his leg as the cat and fox were still biting him, much to Naruto's and Mayl's amusement.
"Alright, alright. Don't lose your head, or I guess don't lose your leg." Said Naruto with a smirk, petting the fox's head and easing him off of Dex's leg.
"Yeah, they should be back to normal now with ElecMan gone. See, they're perfectly fine." Mayl said, petting the cat until it let go, before jumping into the redheads arms purring contently.
"Yep, no problem. In fact…I think I'm gonna keep you, you were really helpful in finding ElecMan, so I'm sure you could help out even more." Said Naruto, smiling at the fox, which barked in agreement at staying with the Uzumaki.
"In that case you'll need a name. How about…Kurama." Naruto said, causing the newly named Kurama to run onto his shoulder nuzzle against him, making the whiskered blonde smile.
"I always did want a pet. And a name…I think Matatabi is a good one." Said Mayl, smiling as the newly named Matatabi purred contently in her arms.
"Oh great, now I'm gonna have to deal with those mechanical monsters on a regular basis, now." Dex muttered, before yelping and backing away when Kurama and Matatabi growled at him, much to the amusement of their new owners.
*Later – Hikari Residence*
After leaving the power plant, Naruto and Mayl both returned to their homes or temporary home in Naruto's case, both wanting to rest after the day they had. With Naruto being greeted by Kushina, Lan and Haruka the moment he arrived, only for them to be curious when they saw Kurama. Leading to the whiskered blonde explaining everything that happened, much to their shock and concern.
"You know, while I'm happy everything worked out, and that you and Mayl are both safe. I really hope this isn't going to be a common occurrence." Said Kushina, relieved everything worked out, but would prefer if her son and his friends don't end up in so many dangerous situations.
"Agreed. While you all have strong and capable NetNavis with you, I'd prefer it if you stayed safe. That goes double for you, Lan." Haruka said while looking at her son.
"What!? Oh come on, it's not my fault that trouble usually ends up finding us!" Lan said, given how TorchMan tried burned Naruto's and Kushina's house, then nearly tried burning his and Mayl's houses.
Now ElecMan causing problems all over the city and stealing Ms. Mari's bag, putting Naruto and Mayl on the subway in the first place, leading them trying to stop him there and at the power plant.
"He's not wrong, Mrs. Hikari, Mrs. Uzumaki. Trouble does seem to find us a lot, but I think we'll be alright in fighting anyone that comes our way." Said MegaMan since they were able to handle TorchMan, now Bass and Roll took down ElecMan.
"Yeah. Maybe it's dangerous, but so far we've done pretty well. Besides, this time we got a new pet too." Naruto said with a grin and showing Kurama, making them smile.
"I guess it's not so bad and we won't have to worry about cleaning up after Kurama, either." Kushina said while petting the robotic fox.
"He is rather adorable." Haruka stated, patting Kurama on the head.
"Even better if he can sniff out World Three NetNavis whenever they're causing trouble." Added Lan, knowing how useful that'll be.
"But I think I'm gonna go take a shower now. Naruto, could you put MegaMan in my room." Lan said, standing up and handing his PET to Naruto, who nodded in response.
"Sure, I was just about to go up there, anyway." Replied Naruto before heading upstairs, with Kurama following after him.
Entering Lan's room, Naruto put their PETs in the docking stations before logging into the Net, only to frown as he looked over Bass and saw some more excess data. Seeing it's like the data from TorchMan, coming from both Roll and ElecMan.
'So it's not just something random, and happened every time Bass has used his Get Ability on someone. Not just taking more than just their abilities, but some excess data as well. But what is it?' Naruto thought as he began working to see what it was.
"Is something wrong, Naruto?" MegaMan asked upon seeing what he's doing.
"I don't think so. It's just this strange data that Forte got from TorchMan after taking his Pyrokinesis. With it happening again when Roll let him take her abilities to give him a boost and with ElecMan when he took his Electrokinesis. It's just data that he ended up taking along with their abilities, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything." Said Naruto, confusing the blue NetNavi.
"Do you need any help figuring it out what it is?" Said MegaMan, with Naruto thinking it over for a few moments before getting an idea.
"I…think I might have an idea." Naruto said, pulling out some Blank Chips and inserting them into his PET.
Only for Naruto, Bass and MegaMan to be shocked when the data began loading itself into the Battle Chips as images of TorchMan, ElecMan and Roll appeared on them.
"What the hell?" Muttered Naruto while grabbing the Battle Chips.
"What kind of Battle Chips are those?!" Lan said in shock, having just finished his shower and gotten dressed in his pajamas, upon entering his room just in time to see the new Chips finish loading.
Not looking at the brunette, Naruto grabbed his PET before inserting the TorchMan Chip, the four watching in shock as TorchMan materialized inside the PET alongside Bass. Before doing the same with the ElecMan and Roll Chips, with ElecMan and Roll appearing as well.
"I think…these are Navi Chips. That data Forte absorbed…I can use it to create clones of other NetNavis!" Naruto said in shock and amazement that any time Bass uses his Get Ability, he won't only get a Navis abilities but also get the data needed to create Navi Chips.
"Oh man…that is so cool! You'd have dozens of Navis in one!" Said Lan in excitement at the idea of being able to summon other NetNavis to fight alongside them.
"That's definitely cool!" MegaMan stated, smiling in amazement at how Naruto could make an entire team of Navis.
"Interesting. I wonder just how much they can do compared to the originals." Said Bass, also amazed and intrigued at this new ability, having never done anything like it before.
Making him wonder if he always had this ability but couldn't utilize it without a NetOp or if it's an ability he's only just recently gained. Either way, Naruto was eager and excited to see what these new Navi Chips can do.
So, what did you think, good. Yep we see Naruto stayed overnight at the hospital with Mayl, working on Roll and returning her, much to Mayl's and Roll's gratitude. While also discovering some strange data that Bass had absorbed from TorchMan in addition to his Pyrokinesis, intending to find out what it is once he returns home. Before the two then see Dex at the hospital and learning about the cat biting him, much to their amusement and Dex's embarrassment.
Then we see them heading to Sal's shop where they encounter Masa who believes they're on a date, to their embarrassment, only to grow worried to learn Dex is in the hospital, under the impression that it's from lack of calcium and takes off before Naruto and Mayl could tell him the real reason.
While we also get a look at Wily sending Count Zap and ElecMan to DenTech City next to begin causing mayhem, along with flashbacks of Mr. Match reporting in after being defeated by Bass and MegaMan. With Wily being skeptical that Bass is still alive, but knows if he is then it'll be his chance to delete him or get Bass under his control.
We then go to Naruto and Mayl at Sal's flower shop, with Naruto getting started on his new duties while Mayl relaxes, with the three of them also talking about what's happened recently. Before we see the start of Zap's and ElecMan's attack on the city, along with a change from controlling a robotic dog to a robotic fox. Before then seeing Masa trying to help Dex get the cat off his leg, only for Dex to demand answers when Masa mentions Naruto and Mayl on their "date".
Before we see Naruto and Mayl walking through the city and talking with each other, only to see Ms. Mari entering Miyu's shop to get her fortune read. Which soon leads to Dex showing up along with the robotic fox biting him along with the cat, before it soon steals Mari's purse. Leading to Naruto and Mayl soon getting g caught in ElecMan's mayhem as he takes control of a subway train.
Only for things to begin changing as Naruto and Bass are able to stop it much sooner, before they chase after ElecMan where he heads to the power plant to overload it. Leading to a tough battle between Bass and Roll against ElecMan, who's super charged by the plants electricity. With Bass getting a boost from Roll letting him use his Get Ability on her, along with giving him an opening to use it on ElecMan, letting them defeat him.
Finally we see Naruto and Mayl meeting the others outside and telling them what happened, before helping remove the fox and cat from Dex's leg, and adopting them as their new pets, naming them Kurama and Matatabi respectively.
Before then going to the Hikari Residence where Naruto tells Kushina, Lan and Haruka what happened, much to their relief no one was hurt while welcoming the new member of the Uzumaki Family. With Naruto soon discovering the strange data Bass absorbed from TorchMan, ElecMan and Roll, as it becomes three Navi Chips allowing him to summon clones of the three NetNavis. So, for those that like the story, thanks for your support. For those that don't or at least don't like the direction taken, you're more than welcomed to drop the story.
