Prologue - The Perfect Human in a Fantasy World

White Room.

A secret facility in which he grew up.

The walls, floors, chairs and clothes said a lot about the name, they were all the color white. No matter where one looked, any child in that facility would only see endless white. The reason for the white color was to make their human brain adjust at a young age, and the white color avoided any distraction the children might have, so they would concentrate at maximum capacity on the activities in that place.

There were about 5 generations in the White Room. Of all these 5 generations, the 4th generation was known as the demonic generation, where all the tests and evaluations were extremely more difficult than the previous generations. Only one person from the 4th generation was able to complete the tests with ease, and that person was none other than the very son of the person who manages the White Room.

Ayanokouji Kiyotaka.

Ayanokouji Kiyotaka, a student who has been studying at ANHS for a few months now.

When the day's class was over, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka was going to the library to read some books. It had been a while since he had gone there to read something, and since he is free for the rest of the day today, it was the perfect time for him to do so. Reading books turned out to be one of his hobbies, because when he was in the White Room he had to read thousands of them, and books were the only time he could feel even a little freedom.

While walking to the library, Ayanokouji eventually received a message from Horikita. He simply ignored it for the moment and started walking again. The walk to the library took a few minutes before he reached the place. He opened the library doors and walked in at a leisurely pace.

As soon as he entered the library, he noticed that it was much emptier than usual. Most of the students were not really the studious type, so they preferred to spend their time going to the school malls or movie theaters, as well as the cafeterias and candy stores.

Ayanokouji's favorite store was, without a doubt, the ice cream store.

Walking around a bit, Ayanokouji found someone he knew sitting in a place where there was basically no one. She was reading a book with great focus and had not noticed him approaching her. When he got close enough, he started talking.

"Hi Hiyori."

The said girl took her eyes off the book and began to look at him with a bit of surprise.

"Oh, Ayanokouji-kun, hello," she greeted him with a beautiful smile before speaking again. "It's been a while since you've been to the library, did you finally get some book time?"

"Yes," Ayanokouji spoke as he sat down next to her. "What book are you reading, Hiyori?" He asked.

"It's a mystery and suspense book. called Joyland," she said as she held up the book and showed him the book cover. "It's quite interesting, would you like to read it after I'm done?"

"I'll pass, I've already read that book. I agree with you in that it is interesting," Ayanokouji replied.

Ayanokouji could remember the synopsis of the book perfectly when he read it some years ago.

In this book, we follow the misadventures of college student Devin Jones, who is starting a passing job at Joyland Park. He is trying to get on with his life, getting money, paying for college, and trying to forget about his breakup. However, in this new place, the only thing he will get is a big dose of suspense in his life.

In that park, years ago, a little girl was murdered, and legend has it that the poor girl's spirit still haunts the ghost train. The murderer is still lurking, and the girl's soul needs to rest.

So, with the help of a mysterious boy with supernatural gifts, Devin will have a tense and electrifying journey ahead of him.

"I think I'd better get some books to read too," he stood up and went to the shelves to get a book. After he had chosen a book he returned to his seat next to Hiyori and began to read his book in silence.

He and Hiyori had been reading their respective books in silence for quite some time. However, at some point in that silence Hiyori spoke to him.

"...Hey, Ayanokouji-kun."

"Yes?" It was strange that she would soon pull up a subject just as she was reading the book. Normally she would finish her book first and let him finish his as well.

But her book was quite long and it seemed that she was only halfway through. It would probably take her some time to finish the book.

She didn't speak again for a few seconds, making it clear to him that she was thinking her next words over carefully, but even then she seemed hesitant to ask what she wanted to ask. However, she soon asked him about it.

"The reason Ryuuen-kun and the others came back in that injured state the other day, you are responsible for that...?"

"What are you talking about?"

"Ryuuen-kun said that he and the others had some disagreements and fought with him, resulting in those bruises they all had. Ryuuen-kun was the most injured," she explained. "But even so, I can't help but think that there's something wrong with the way he did it. Ryuuen-kun even wanted to quit school..."

Ayanokouji was still looking at his book with the same expressionless face as always. He had one hand resting on his head. It didn't take long for him to answer her.

"I think it's unlikely that I had anything to do with it. You see, they had a fight, right? If I were next to them, I'd clearly have several injuries, after all it's impossible for me to come out uninjured against such monsters as Ryuuen and Albert. I'm also not the type who could hit someone. I probably couldn't hurt even a fly..."

"I see... yes, that's right," Hiyori replied with a smile. "I should already imagine that Ayanokouji-kun is not bad enough to punch someone's face."

Well, even if she were to find out about anything about this incident, it was just him saying his favorite words that were infallible: "It was Horikita's plan."

After that, a new silence settled down. Some time later, Hiyori said goodbye to Ayanokouji with a smile on her face as she finished her book, leaving Ayanokouji alone to finish his book. After he finished his book, he put it away and prepared to leave the library with his hands in his pockets, until he heard a sound.

Looking in the direction of the sound, he saw that a book had fallen off the shelf. He started to walk to the book while taking his hands out of his pockets. When he got close he crouched down and picked up the book while looking at the cover and the title of the book with some curiosity.

The cover of the book was that of a boy with white hair and red eyes that looked like rubies next to a woman with black hair with twin ponytails, with abnormally large breasts. Above them both, as if in a transparent reflection, was a girl with red hair and blue eyes, particles of fire surrounding her. She looked strangely similar to the black haired girl with twin pigtails.

The first thing that came to Ayanokouji's mind was that they were related because of their resemblance.

However, what caught Ayanokouji's attention the most was the "rather unique" title of the book written in English.

"... Is it wrong to pick up girls in a Dungeon?" He muttered with confusion at such a title.

A rather strange and curious title for a book. He could not imagine why the author had put that name in his book. Maybe it was a title that caught people's attention? He could not say, after all he had never read any book with a strange title like that.

Not knowing what kind of book it was, he flipped through the pages of the book. He saw the various drawings of women, most of them wearing some revealing clothing. There was also a drawing of a boy with white hair, he was probably the main character in this story. Looking at the names on each drawing were the names: Hestia, Loki, Freya and Hephaestus and Bell, among some other names. Names of the Greek and Norse gods.

Ayanokouji was not as familiar with mythology as the other subjects, but he had a basic overview of the mythology of various religions because he found them interesting in the library of that place. And he was sure that in the stories he read, Hephaestus and Loki were certainly men, unlike here who are apparently women?

Quite curious and intriguing indeed.

What could be the reason why the author changed the genders from men to women? Maybe it was a strategic move?

The book seemed to be about 340 pages long. And this was certainly a fantasy and romance book, with images of elves and dungeons contained in its contents.

He was interested in the book and took it after talking to the librarian. As he walked to his room at a relatively fast pace, he began to think about the book. If the book was interesting enough at the beginning, he would probably read to the end, otherwise he would just read by taking breaks. However, if he was really going to read to the end, he probably wouldn't sleep much tonight.

Well, it's not as if this is really a problem for him.

Going one to five days without sleep was child's play for someone like him.

"Ah, yes, Horikita's message... well, let's read it tomorrow," he muttered as he walked.

A curiosity was that it was very close to Christmas. Ayanokouji already plans to call Karuizawa and ask for information about Satou in the future, but for now this is not of extreme importance.

It didn't take long for Ayanokouji to arrive at his room. As soon as he arrived in his room, he sat down and picked up the book. With a small sigh escaping his lips, he began to read the book. As he read the beginning of the book, he quickly noticed that it was set in a more medieval world, with some unique aspects, such as the Gods living with humans and blessing them with something called the Falna.

Their fighting style also seemed to be quite ancient. Ayanokouji was trained in many different martial arts and other things you could imagine in the White Room. He quickly began to wonder what it would be like if someone with modern day knowledge ended up in that world in a ridiculous way like the Isekais he read on the recommendation of the Professor (Sotomura). And if that person also had modern technology too...

Science plus Magic...

An amazing combination. It would certainly be a great massacre for the people of that world.

From what he noticed, an intermediate level one adventurer would be able to defeat an intermediate level two or even advanced level two adventurer - almost reaching level three if the person had the knowledge of martial arts (some extremely deadly) that Ayanokouji has. Even if the person was stronger based on level, it doesn't mean that someone weaker can't defeat him, such thinking is extremely flawed.

He himself was trained to be able to go through anything.

He was trained to the limit of the human body to be able to beat opponents stronger or twice his size with extreme ease - as well as fight multiple opponents at the same time - his mind is something that surpasses anyone else's, without exception. In other words.

He is literally the Perfect Human.

While reading the book, he saw drawings of a green-haired elf and a golden-haired girl. He found it curious that the blond-haired girl was described as someone who did not show emotions, just like him. The elf was a waitress in a pub that seemed to be well known to adventurers.

He read the book to the end, it was late at night and he probably wouldn't sleep tonight and would have to go to class in a few hours. But he didn't care about him.

When he reached the last page of the book, something surprising happened. He read the last words of the book which were:

"Familia Myth."

As he recited those words, a mysterious white glow appeared around him, he could see several white particles enveloping his body and he couldn't do anything about it as everything around him completely changed to pure darkness. He didn't understand what the hell was going on when his mind went completely blank.

...

...

...

Everything was dark and remained that way for some time before he saw some light again. As he opened his eyes, he quickly noticed that the environment he was in was completely different from his room. In fact, it was a somewhat familiar environment if he counted his examination of the first few years on the desert island.

Green, several trees, wherever he looked, he had no doubt about the environment he was in. There was no one around him when he began to think.

Ayanokouji's Pov:

As I opened my eyes I had no doubt about the environment in which I found myself.

A forest in the middle of nowhere.

The sound of birds singing reached my ears along with the familiar scent of nature. This was certainly an unusual occurrence, and analyzing everything, I quickly came to the only logical conclusion I could think of after using all the potential of my brain - nothing normal compared to ordinary people.

Somehow, I was transported into the world of the romance and fantasy book I had just finished reading in my room. Of course I wouldn't totally rule out the possibility of it being a different world, but this is completely unlikely, given the fact that it all happened when I read the last words of the book, which apparently was the trigger for this to occur.

Well... I also cannot rule out the fact that I have taken some very crazy drug and am hallucinating, maybe this was Ryuuen's revenge? No, that's impossible, I'm sure I didn't drink or eat anything very strange... probably. There is no way to tell if this is not Horikita's work, maybe she rebelled against me because of the fact that I used her as a pawn all this time?

I was still in my school uniform, which is certainly something quite chic in such a world, if indeed it is the world of that book. But couldn't I at least be teleported to the city that is presented throughout the book? Why send me to a forest in the middle of nowhere?

For some strange reason, I could feel something different about me. I didn't know exactly what it was, but I could feel some kind of different force appearing in me, something totally confusing and strange, but this was no time for me to worry about that, first I have to find a way out of this forest I find myself in in the middle of nowhere.

Thinking for a while, I remembered something that might help me in case I found a town nearby. I quickly reached into my pants pocket and pulled out my phone. I turned on my phone to look at its battery, praying that it was at least reasonable.

"50%..." I muttered.

Strange coincidence.

I turned off my cell phone and stowed it back in my pocket. I can't afford to waste its battery on useless things. Even if this cell phone didn't do much good in this place, it could still be useful in some way. If I can find a way to charge it, that would be even better, although that is unlikely.

Well, in the worst case I can just trick some collector or seller and sell the phone, it would discharge eventually, so it would be technically useless. Maybe the parts would be useful in some way, but I strongly doubted it.

"Well, let's go," I sighed.

The first step was to get out of this forest. The ideal steps would be for me to find some river or some kind of road and follow it to the end of them. If I'm unlucky, I won't find anything today.

While walking, I quickly hear a strange kind of sound. The sound of the birds has completely disappeared. This sound would certainly frighten most people, but for me it could be some kind of hint to make sure about the place I find myself.

Following the source of the noise, I hid myself among the trees while looking for the source of the strange sounds.

Standing not far away, about 20 meters away, were some green humanoids... monsters?

Even though it wasn't described in the book I read because it was probably a weak monster in this world, I knew what it was, after all I had read a story that focused on their extermination. Goblins. Usually known as weak monsters in fantasy books. Well, at least in the story of the book I read before I ended up in this place, because in the other one it was totally different.

That fantasy book I read some time ago showed how deadly Goblins could be, especially with women.

Goblin Slayer was the name of the book, if I am not mistaken.

This only served to further contribute to my hypothesis that I had been transported into the world of the book I read, and it certainly wasn't funny.

However, in the book I read, it was said that the monsters were born from the dungeon walls of the city that houses most of the adventurers, there was nothing saying that they could be found outside the dungeon. Well, I had noticed that that book seemed a bit too rushed, it was probably some kind of "summary" of a multi-volume story being put into just one book, important details would slip through.

Now that I think about it, I don't think it was a coincidence that that particular book fell off the shelf and I picked it up right away. And then it sent me here. That surely was someone's doing...

Well, I can think about that another time, now let's deal with this situation.

I have to be totally careful with their sharp claws, if it ends up hitting me it will surely be fatal whether it hits a bad area or not. I had an idea and started looking for a rock to test this idea. The Goblins were together, there were about 8 of them, I couldn't take the chance and go at them all like an idiot, this is certainly one of the ways that the extras in the books I read die.

They are all idiots.

Looking for a rock turned out to be more challenging than I thought, this area of the forest was strangely clean. I also can't help feeling that I'm being watched somewhere around here, I'd better raise my guard just in case.

Suddenly I hear some faint sounds behind me. Looking back I see about three rocks and a small knife on the ground.

I start to stare at the treetops...

Walking over to the spot, I picked up the knife with my left hand and kept it in my pants pocket for now. The stones were of medium size, it would be enough. Before going back to the place with the Goblins, I took one last look at the treetops...

I snuck into the trees and spotted the Goblins. They were all still here, which was very welcome. I took the first stone and threw it with considerable force at a bush on the right side. The noise quickly caught the Goblins' attention, and two ran to the noise. Before the others could follow, I threw the second stone at the opposite side, making those behind turn and go the other way. About 3 Goblins came running, and again, before the rest could go I threw the last stone forward with more force than the other two stones I threw earlier.

The two Goblins who were further ahead ran to the noise. It was as I thought, their intelligence is extremely low in this world if I compared it to the Goblins in the other story I read. I quickly came out of hiding and ran to the Goblin who was distracted by the noise I caused and had fallen further behind the group.

At totally strange speeds, even for me, I got close to the distracted Goblin and pulled the knife from my pocket. The Goblin as if on pure instinct turned towards me, however, it was too late. All the Goblin saw when he turned around was the sharp point of the knife that pierced his head without hesitation.

I pulled the knife back and stepped away with a little jump to get away from the splatter of blood that came from the dead Goblin. This was the only clothing I had, I couldn't afford to get blood on it when I have no means to wash it. I also had to be careful with my cell phone.

"Grrr."

"Grrrww!"

Three Goblins that I had tricked before appeared before me and wasted no time in running towards me. I braced myself as I made sure that their sharp claws did not hit me. As they approached me, I surprised them with a circular kick to the top of their heads, one managed to escape while the first Goblin took my kick, causing the Goblin next to him to take it as well, causing them both to collapse and hit a large tree about 30 meters away.

The Goblin that had escaped was facing me with his claws raised. I quickly ducked when I felt something behind me, it turned out to be a Goblin that had jumped up with its claws pointed at my chest. Wasting no time, I forced my empty hand to the ground with great momentum as I lifted my leg to kick the Goblin still in the air, causing it to be hurled away.

However, it didn't end there, I dodged to the side quickly when the claws of another Goblin that had returned were launched at the place where I had been before. I quickly sent my knife into the Goblin's head as I did the same process of stepping back to get rid of the blood splashing on my clothes, and it was at this very moment that the Goblin who was in front of me before tried to attack, but I quickly kicked him in the face, pushing him away in the process.

Another Goblin had arrived by the time the other Goblins I had kicked had recovered, although they looked badly hurt. I noticed the last two Goblins running over as well. I couldn't let them surround me, it was a small risk I didn't want to take.

I quickly started running towards the two Goblins further away. Seeing me running towards them, the Goblins quickly prepared to attack me. I ran towards the Goblin on the right, who tried to attack me with his sharp claws, but with a flick of my hand I escaped being pierced by his claws, at which point I pierced one of his eyes while using his body to propel me forward and do a 360-degree spin to kick the next Goblin a short distance away.

I made sure to kill the Goblin whose eye I pierced while I was still in the air and let the momentum throw me away a little before I fell completely to the ground without injury. I wasted no time and went over to the Goblin I had hit with the kick and pierced him cleanly in the head with my knife before turning away from him and preparing myself for the last Goblins that were coming at me.

As the Goblins ran at me I braced myself and couldn't help but mutter.

"This is not exactly the peaceful life I was looking for..."

The Goblins came up to me.

...

...

I finished killing the last Goblin while letting out a small sigh.

Because of my incredible luck, after I finished killing the last Goblin of the group I had met in the forest, 10 more of them appeared, and I had to get rid of them as well. Well, at least I can be confident that at least this area of the forest is free of Goblins.

This would be useful in case I needed to set up a makeshift camp here. All the Goblins that I had killed disappeared in a kind of black smoke. The strange thing was that they didn't leave the monster "rocks" that was mentioned in the book I read. Apparently these "stones" were exchanged for money by the adventurers in the main town of the story, and I planned to go there.

I could get a normal job and live a normal working life, that would be quite peaceful.

I don't know what time it is exactly, and even with the tall trees, I can still see plenty of sun, which means it must be at least early afternoon. Totally different from my world that it was already early morning when I finished reading the book. I will also not get to enjoy Christmas for the first time in my life...

Whatever, there's no use lamenting. Let's solve this first.

I put the knife away in my pocket and walked a bit before stopping.

"So, can you guys come over?" I said in a somewhat loud tone as I looked up into the trees.

I not naive enough to think I found more than I needed "magically". I am sure the feeling that I am being watched is because of "them", whatever they are. If they helped me, at least they must not be enemies, that's what I really hope, I want to resolve the situation of being in this unknown forest.

Just when I thought they wouldn't show up because it's been a few seconds, I see two creatures flying towards me at a relatively fast pace and when they were at my side they stopped and started talking.

"Look Ana, a handsome boy!"

"Thank you so much for scaring the Goblins away from our house!"

The two creatures began to circle me as they spoke happily. I began to take a better look at them. Both had a human appearance, but they were very small and had wings. It didn't take long for me to come to the most logical conclusion I could think of at this point.

"You are... fairies?"

"Yes! We are fairies of this forest!"

"Nice to meet you, human!"

This is strange. The book I read mentioned several different races, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't mention that fairies exist in this world. Of course, considering what I read was a summary of a few volumes of the story, it's normal to miss details, but I doubt they would ignore the existence of fairies.

There are two possibilities that I can think of at this point.

1. they only appear later in the story, for example, let's assume that the summary was 4-7 books in one book, but the fairies will only appear in the 10th book.

I don't know how many books this story has, nor if it has been completed yet.

2. I am in a world similar to the story in the book, but not the same as the one I read. Just the fact that I appeared here may result in several changes.

Also, when I was dealing with the Goblins I noticed something different. Even if it wasn't much, I was totally sure of it.

I'm definitely stronger than before.

The fairy on my right side had blond hair and green eyes, while the fairy on my left side had green hair and blue eyes. They were looking at me with some expectation, I also wanted some answers, but let's introduce ourselves first.

"Before I ask what I want to know, my name is Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. Can you tell me your names?" I remember the green-haired fairy calling the blond-haired fairy Ana, but I don't know the other one's name, so I made this introduction to find that out.

"I'm Ana!" The blonde-haired fairy replied cheerfully as she sat on my shoulder.

"I am Aisha! The Queen didn't lie when she said that a very handsome boy came into the forest! Thank you so much for helping us." The green-haired fairy, Aisha, replied cheerfully as she was flying very close to my face.

Queen?

Well, that sure is too convenient to be a simple coincidence. Making a decision, I began to speak again.

"Tell me, can you fairies be considered rare? I mean, is it normal for you to perform for humans?" I asked.

"No." Ana sitting on my shoulder replied cheerfully. "We are very 'rare' so to speak, we have not interacted with anyone for thousands of years, even the gods think we were extinct, but as you can see, we are very much alive!"

"Yes, so you can consider yourself very lucky to see us!" Aisha then replied.

Again, too convenient to be a coincidence. Clearly there is something wrong with all of this.

"Well, I guess I am very lucky then," I replied, "but that doesn't change the fact that I wonder why you guys showed up for me. Besides, you guys helped me too."

I strongly doubted that they simply showed up because I saved their "forest." Besides, according to what they said, even the gods themselves think that they were extinct, but they revealed themselves to me, a normal human, only because I got rid of the Goblins that were here in their house? I don't believe this.

Why did I show up here in the first place? I hope I can get that answer.

"The Queen ordered us!" Aisha said as Ana agreed with her and started talking.

"Yes, by the way, the Queen wants to meet you, so could you come with us? She wants to personally thank the person who 'cleaned' our house!"

This situation was really very much in my favor. I didn't want to waste too much time in this place, I have to find somewhere I can spend the night, preferably somewhere that isn't this forest.

"Alright, I'll let you guys guide me then."

"Okay, follow us, pretty boy!" Ana exclaimed as she tried to pull on my clothes so that I could follow her.

That was very cute.

Without wasting any time, I started to follow them to meet the Fairy Queen.

That was very interesting. We are still in the forest, but it is completely different. Is it some kind of barrier that protects the place where the fairies live? Well, that explains why no one has found any, it's like I'm in a mirror dimension of the forest I appeared in.

"Hey, come on. It's this way!" Ana called out to me as I continued to follow them through the forest.

As I walked, I couldn't help but be completely surprised by the scenery. It was unlike anything I had ever seen, a very beautiful sight. Living in this place wouldn't be so bad, the fairies surely can't complain about living in this place.

It must also be one of the explanations for why they don't show themselves to other beings, even the gods. Probably only the fairies should have a way to get to this place, so I can't help but wonder why they were bothered by the Goblins in the other normal part of the forest.

"The scenery is very beautiful, isn't it?" Aisha approached me and asked that.

She probably noticed that I was looking intently at the scenery around me.

"Yes, I have never seen anything like it."

"You say that, but your face is still the same as always."

"I can't do anything about it, I was born with that face," I quickly replied. "Besides, this place hasn't always been here, has it?"

"You're right. The Queen went to a lot of effort to build this place out of other people's sight for the fairies." Ana commented.

I can imagine the effort she put into building this place, yet she just trusted me enough to show me this view? If I were an ordinary teenager like the others, I would probably be gleaming-eyed. Besides, where are the other fairies? I don't see them anywhere.

"The other fairies are a bit shy, so I don't think they'll show themselves to you so easily, unlike the two of us." Aisha replied as if she knew what I was thinking.

"I see," it was really a shame that I couldn't see the other fairies.

"Although I don't think I need to warn you about this, I will anyway," Ana commented as I followed her through the forest. "Be very careful and don't let me out of your sight, it's very easy for you to get lost in this place."

This was clearly a warning, and I had no intention of disobeying, so I just nodded and continued to follow her.

We quickly came to a rather fancy looking door with green forest-themed details. Aisha and Ana just nodded their heads signaling for me to come in as they walked away.

I guess they were just instructed to lead me here.

I opened the door and was met with something quite interesting. The ground was green grass, but the most interesting thing was the sky in this place. I could see thousands of colorful stars under an unusual night sky, and all around the room there were thousands of golden lights floating all over the place.

"So you have finally arrived, human child."

Looking forward I saw a giant dome of sorts made of wood with leaves of all seasons surrounding it. Inside the dome was an altar with a big fancy throne. I looked at the person who spoke to me.

A woman, the Fairy Queen, with long blond hair and green eyes shaped like a "cross", butterfly-like wings and some kind of green jewelry on the necklace she wore around her neck. Her dress was green with black and her ears looked like the elf drawing I saw in the book.

She, like the other fairies, was quite small, however, she was a bit larger than Aisha and Ana. I really wondered why the human-sized throne, after all she didn't even come close to taking up half the throne space.

As I thought about these somewhat irrelevant things, she spoke again.

"The Queen of the Autumn Fairies, Lorelai, welcomes you."

At this moment, I saw several fairies floating in the unusual sky of stars, they were quite far away. I turned to Lorelai and greeted her equally.

"It is a pleasure to meet the Fairy Queen, my name is Ayanokouji Kiyotaka, although I already imagine you know that."

"Indeed," she commented with a smile. "It is a pleasure, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. It's been quite a while since I've seen a human child, thousands of years in fact..."

Although I wanted to find out more about some things, I couldn't waste too much time. Let's just get to the main subject that I am suspicious about.

"Were you responsible for putting me in this place?" I asked bluntly.

I expected her to deny or lie, but her answer surprised me.

"While I know you are not from these lands, I was not the person who placed you in our world."

It seems that she knew that I was not really from this world, which further increases my suspicions about my summoning into this world.

"I don't believe that."

"Oh, and why don't you believe it?"

"Do you really expect me to believe that, by coincidence, I stopped in this forest that is your territory when I was kicked to this place against my will? Also, according to Aisha and Ana, you have stopped showing yourselves to people, even to the gods, for thousands of years. But suddenly you show yourselves to me? And don't expect me to believe that it's because I drove the Goblins out of your forest.

Even if she had nothing to do with my summoning in this world, I'm sure she at least knows something about it.

"Haven't you ever heard that coincidences can be bizarre?" She said with a smile.

"That's not the point, stop this useless exchange of words and tell me what I want to know, it's the bare minimum for someone who has been taken from his world, don't you think?"

She and I stared at each other for a few seconds before she spoke again with a small sigh.

"You really do have scary eyes, did you know that?"

"I had no idea about that."

She gave another sigh as she spoke again.

"I'm not lying when I say it was a coincidence that you ended up here, nor in the fact that it wasn't me who brought you into this world."

"Explain," I wanted to know more details about that.

"I have special eyes," she began. "I can see the essence of people, and as much as all people have a different essence, the people of this world follow a common pattern followed by many. When I closed my eyes, I saw you in my forest, and your essence was completely different from the people I have seen before, so I already knew that you were not from these lands."

I can't say precisely whether she made this up or is lying, but at least I don't sense any lies coming from her. If this is really the case, then was it really just a bizarre coincidence? Even though I have said these words a lot in the past, it is still hard to believe.

Now I know how Chabashira-sensei felt when I kept insisting that my notes were coincidences

"Let's say I believe you, in which case, you really don't know anything?"

"I never said I didn't know anything," she retorted. "Even if I'm not sure, I might have some idea who was responsible that called you into this world."

I just looked at her, signaling that I wanted her to continue. However, she asked me a question.

"Tell me, do you think it's bad?"

"What?"

"This place. I mean, even though you were summoned against your will, do you still want to go back to your world?"

What kind of question is that?

"I think you're having a misunderstanding," I said.

"Misunderstanding?" She raised her eyebrow in confusion at what I said.

"At no point did I mention that I want to go back to my world," I explained, "I'm just curious about the culprit who brought me to this world, but I have no intention of going back to my world."

In this place, I am free of that man and the White Room. Why on earth would I want to go back there when I can finally have a peaceful life in a different world? It's okay that they may have monsters, but as long as I have the means necessary to protect myself and survive, that's enough for me.

The White Room methods were still effective even in this world.

Lorelai looked at me in surprise at my words.

"I see," she said. "In that case, I think I will take your curiosity away. At the moment there are very few people capable of doing something like that, and yet you were the only one brought here. You must imagine the only beings capable of doing how to transport you from your world to this one, right?"

"The gods?" It was the only logical explanation. This is a world where gods exist in abundance, so anything could be possible.

"Yes. More precisely the gods who have not descended to live with humans, the gods who still possess all their abilities, and among those gods I'm sure there must be some with abilities to observe different worlds."

"Even if you say that, it's still like finding a needle in a haystack."

"... Even if I don't understand what you mean exactly by that, it's not that difficult. Gods are forbidden to use their powers for their own benefit. Bringing someone from another world surely must have had some kind of effect up there."

I see. Although I am curious about who summoned me to this place, there is no point in wasting time thinking about it. There was a possibility that it could be someone totally different from the gods of this world, but the chances are not very high.

I also can't rule out the possibility that she is lying about all this and that in fact, she has some relation to the fact that I am here.

"Well, there's no point in wasting time thinking about it." I just hope it's not something cliché like the stories I've read, that the person who has been summoned to a fantasy world has to protect the world from who knows what.

"In that case, how about we get to the reason I summoned you here? You didn't really expect the reason to be just to thank you, right?"

"So, are you going to give me some reward?"

"Exactly," she said with a smile before snapping her fingers.

At this very moment, a small golden light appeared in my hands and began to take a shape. Before long, a ring with a large green gemstone was in my hands. It also had other small gemstones around it. Why was she giving it to me?

"This is the most precious item I can give someone," Lorelai said. "It's something that will definitely be useful to you, it's called [Fairy Steps]."

"Fairy Steps? Is it some kind of ability or something?" I asked.

"You can say that," she said with a smile. "Tell me, do you know why fairies are so special?"

"I doubt it's because you are simply 'fairies'. There's something more to it, right?"

"Yes," she nodded. "Fairies are known for their abilities to [leap through space] at will. That's a big secret we carry."

So that's the real reason why people don't see the fairies anymore. There is no way to find them if they don't want to be seen, and I'm sure some people have tried, but gave up along the way. You can't find the fairies, they reveal themselves to you.

"Is this place Located in a different space?" I asked.

"Well, not exactly, but you can say that."

She ended up not answering my question.

"Still, I can't help but ask. Why are you giving something so valuable to someone like me?"

"Because you helped us," she said with a smile before speaking another reason, "and also because you are very hot."

"What?"

"What I said."

"...Right," I replied a little confused by the second reason.

I looked at the ring on my hand before placing it on my index finger. If she was giving me something like this, it would be a waste to refuse. I need every means to keep myself safe in this world, and this might help with that. I looked at her as I held up my hand with the ring.

"Does that thing work the way I think it does?"

"For the most part yes. However, that will depend on your ability. You are not a blessed human, so it may be much more dangerous than it normally would be. I recommend that you only use it if it is extremely necessary," she warned.

Her tone and eyes were quite serious about it.

"Very well, I'll take your advice and only use it if my life is on the line."

I had no intention of taking unnecessary risks. Besides, I will probably be targeted by thieves because of this ring that contains jewels that are apparently of high value, really very troublesome. I really hope that won't be the case.

"Besides, this ring might also work in a different way," she suddenly said.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, let's say that as long as you have it, you will be able to find us, regardless of whether we change places or not. The same goes for us," she spoke mysteriously with a smile on her face.

"That's convenient," I said.

Although I thought it unlikely that I would come looking for them, it would still be an advantage to keep in touch with the Fairy Queen herself when not even the gods are able to confirm whether they still exist or not.

"Would you like something to eat before you leave?" Lorelai asked.

"That would be appreciated. And if possible, it would be nice if you guys could get me some water for my journey. In fact, could you possibly know where the town of Orario is?"

If I was very far away, it would be very nice to have some water with me. Food wasn't exactly a big problem, now water is another story. More than 70% of the human body is made up of water. It helps to hydrate, to carry nutrients such as oxygen and minerals to the cells, and to flush toxic substances out of the body.

I could go a long time without eating anything, but without drinking water I wouldn't last many days.

"The city of the Adventurers, right? It shouldn't be too far away. If you go on foot you should get there in no more than two days," to my relief, she answered that.

"I see, in that case I am quite grateful," I bowed a little to show a polite attitude to the Fairy Queen.

"Fufu, you don't have to thank me. I'm the one who should be grateful that a handsome boy like you is standing before me," she got off her throne and started flying. "Come, let's go to the banquet room."

"You took everything, right?" Ana asked beside me.

"Yes. Thanks for the water and food, Ana, Aisha. Tell Lorelai I thanked her again when you guys get back to the forest."

"You are really something to talk to the Queen so casually. I was really amazed at the banquet along with the other fairies!" Aisha exclaimed as she flew near me.

At the banquet Lorelai and I talked about a few things. I was a little surprised that she didn't ask anything about the world I came from. I thought that someone like her would be curious about things from another world, but the way she cared little for it was a little strange.

I also met some other fairies who were at the banquet.

Actually, Aisha and Ana were guiding me out of the forest to a "road" that was nearby. I had a small bag that contained two bottles of water that would be enough for three days and some food as well, more precisely sandwiches.

It didn't take long before we reached the "road".

"Well, it's this way. Go straight ahead and you will reach the city of Orario," Aisha said.

"I see, thank you for guiding me."

"You're welcome! Just come visit us when you have time, we always want to chat with a handsome boy like you!" Ana replied cheerfully as she waved and walked back into the forest with Aisha.

"If I have free time, I'll see what I can do," I replied with a wave of my hand.

"See you later!" Aisha also said goodbye.

After that, I looked at the big road in front of me. Looking at the sun, it seemed to be around four o'clock in the afternoon. My goal and get to the city of Orario as quickly as possible, and if my physical abilities are definitely better than before, I should be able to reach my destination well ahead of schedule.

Just for today, I would walk quietly and enjoy the view around me. From tomorrow on I would race to get to the city of Orario as far as possible. Unfortunately I didn't have any money with me, so hopefully I wouldn't have something like a fee to enter the city.

Lorelai said that since she and the fairies haven't interacted with other species for thousands of years, money is basically useless to them, since they don't use it. I wish I could live this way without caring about money.

Would they accept me if I asked to live in the forest with them?

"Well, it doesn't matter..."

As I walked under the sun, I began to think about various things.

Finally I am free.

Is this freedom?

For the first time, after entering the ANHS, I could make my own decisions. I could move according to my thoughts.

The first step was to find a job and work like a normal person, and maybe in the future find someone I could marry.

Would I be able to see someone romantically?

Well, I will find out soon enough.

The chains that bound me before did not exist in this place. However, it would be a lie if I didn't say that I am curious about what would happen from here on out. The martial arts skills that I gained in the White Room along with my knowledge...

I wonder...

What a Perfect Human in a Fantasy World could do...

Back in the forest, in the throne room.

"Your majesty, was it really right to give him [Fairy Steps]?" Aisha asked as she floated around Lorelai.

"I am surprised that there is a human worthy of [Fairy Steps]." Ana said.

"I know, when I first saw him I thought about kicking him out of here, but when I saw him up close, a vision made me change my mind," Lorelai replied. "Ayanokouji...that boy is very interesting. And he's handsome too."

"But don't you have that saying that 'too much power changes people'?"

"I don't think there's any way to change him into someone more bad than he already is," Lorelai replied.

"So Ayanokouji is a bad human?" Ana asked curiously.

"I think the term 'cruel' would be more appropriate for him. But there's no need to worry about anything," Lorelai replied with a smile.

'The moment I saw that child's eyes...a scene filled my entire vision. The thing I observed through the span of time... I was not able to see in detail with my power alone...' Lorelai thought, as the image of a brown haired man with golden brown eyes, covered in blood, appeared in her mind, in front of a great dark calamity.

'But I am sure of it.' With a smile, she spoke again.

"Yes, there is nothing for you to worry about. I knew as soon as I saw it up close. That child's fate... won't end with him alone," she spoke mysteriously as she looked around her living room. Closing her eyes, she finished.

"For this human will completely shake the fabric of this world."

Well, what did you think of this first chapter of the rewrite? I would really like to know what you think.

The beginning was similar with some changes, but from the middle to the end it was totally different from the first version.

What did you think of this "fight" against the Goblins? I wanted to put some action in the first chapter, I hope it was good.

The idea of the fairies was taken from Ending Maker (they are releasing Manhwa weekly, read it, it's very good and has very nice art). There are hints about several things in the chapter itself. Comment if you find any.

What is the real purpose for Lorelai giving "fairy steps" to Ayanokouji? Was it really because she thought he was handsome and because he "helped" her by driving the Goblins out of the forest?

The idea of this story is a little different from the other one, but the romance at least will still be Ayanokouji X Ryuu (Maybe someone else), however, I will do it in a more casual way different from the other version.

Also, I plan to make Ayanokouji more like an Antagonist, although he still helps the protagonist from time to time. Another important detail, Ayanokouji entered the world 1 month before the arrival of Bell in the city of Orario, that is, expect many changes from the beginning, I will not say much to avoid spoilers, but you can tell me your theories, hehe.

What is this "destiny" that Lorelai saw when she looked closely at Ayanokouji? Will he really get the peaceful life he wanted so much? Well, who knows? XD.

Who was responsible for bringing Ayanokouji into this world?

That was the prologue to the Rewrite of this story. Please comment and let me know what you thought compared to the original. Although the grammar is certainly not perfect, I imagine that it has improved a lot compared to the original story.

See you in the next chapter!
