Chapter 26: The Birthday

Rays of sunlight bled through the window blinds, falling on top a figure with slightly tanned skin, blond hair and whiskered cheeks, the figure's eyelids opened to reveal azure blue eyes which glared tirelessly at the window.
'Damn sun.' Naruto thought as he drew his blanket over his head and slowly drifted back to sleep.
RRRRIIIIINNNNNGGGGGG!
The Uzumaki groaned as his alarm clock finally chased away the remnants of his sleep, 'Stupid alarm clock.' He grumbled, shutting the blasted thing off.
"Happy Birthday brat!" Kurama greeted.
"Umm Happy Birthday to you-" Naruto paused, then got up and stared at his calendar, "Wait… it's my birthday?"
"Yep." You can practically tell that the Biju is in a good mood today, "So any birthday plans?"
"Birthday plans? Since when had I ever had a birthday plan that wasn't staying in?"
"…"
"Sorry, I shouldn't have said that!" Naruto apologized.
"Don't sweat it kit, better me than that sweet vixen of yours." Kurama chuckled as his container instantly flustered red, "If I recalled correctly, she happened to be in your dream wearing a-"
"SHUT IT ERO-KITSUNE!" Kurama fell down in laughter as his container blushed now from embarrassment, "Why me?" The Uzumaki wailed causing the Biju to laugh out even more.
After taking some seconds to calm down Kurama noticed his partner of the presence of a foreign object, "You might want to open that present lying on top your bookshelf."
'Said wha?' Naruto thought before glancing at said furniture.
Faster than one could say 'Ramen', the now 14 year old grabbed hold of said present, 'I wonder who dropped it?' He thought staring at the Orange wrapped gift, 'There's only one way to find out.' He tore off the wrappings then opened the box revealing a letter with a bunch of other stuff under it.
Grabbing the letter Naruto began to read.
Dear Naruto
You may have already forgiven me for not being there for you these past years but deep down I know there is some part of you that detests me for it. That's okay, hatred is a common feeling among all living things especially we humans, just don't let it consume you.
I'm taking steps to truly earn your forgiveness and some of them are right inside this present.
They include a cheque of 2 million ryo which you will cash in, the Toad Summoning Contract which Gamabunta agreed to let you sign, a framed picture of both your parents and a map to their secret vault.
Be careful who you shared the last one with since many are still after your parent's secrets/treasures.
If you need anything just message via Toad Summon I will be there in a second.

|Kishida Residence|
A certain green-haired chunin was just waking up from a good night sleep when he took notice of a weight atop his chest.
'The third night in a roll.' Atsushi sighed as he stared at the mop of black hair which belonged to one Kin Tsuchi.
Placing a hand on both shoulders the Kishida gently shook the girl awake, "Wake up Kin, breakfast will be ready soon."
"Mmm." The brunette moaned before she rose up automatically assuming a position which led to her unconsciously straddling the male, "Morning Atsushi-kun," She greeted, rubbing the remnants of sleep from her eyes before stretching out her arms.
Atsushi blushed as her chest got pushed out, "S-Sleep well?" He stammered out.
"Of course, I had you as a pillow." Kin answered as she got out of the bed covers revealing her nightwear which comprised of a white tank top and matching tights, "Kami I'm stiff." She noted before walking towards the center of the room with her handler watching curiously.
Knowing that she was being watched and not really caring, Kin began her early morning stretches while keeping in mind to strike poses which emphasized certain parts of her physique.
Blushing heavily Atsushi averted his eyes to his nightstand suddenly interested in it, this reaction didn't escape the female who smiled as she continued her stretches.
A minute later Atsushi stared back at his ward, a question looming in his mind, "Hey Kin."
"Yes?"
"Can I ask you a personal question?" The girl ended her stretches with surprised look then shrugged.
"Ask away."
"Why are you so comfortable around me to the extent that-"
"I keep on slipping into your bed at night?" She interrupted, the corners of her mouth twitching up to form a smirk, "It's because I trust you not to do anything perverted… well at least not without my permission." She added causing the Kishida to regain his blush, "Back in Oto we girls had to sleep with an eye open and a kunai within arm's reach in case some unexpected visitors crashed in."
This honestly surprised the male, "Weren't they reported to your commanding officers?" Atsushi questioned while slipping his legs out of the bed.
Crossing her arms Kin huffed in reply, "Most said that if we couldn't defend ourselves then we weren't worthy of being Oto Kunoichi while the remaining were partakers of very act."
This made the Kishida frown as he mentally marked it as another one of the misfortunes Kin had to brave through in her 15 years of existence. 'First her village being razed to the ground by slavers at the age of 9, then her father and mother having their skulls crushed underneath a sledgehammer after the latter was defiled by 4 men.'
Captured at the end, Kin spent an entire year with the slavers due to not having any ability or skill worth immediate sale until she and eleven others were collectively bought by a pale-skinned man with black hair and snake-like eyes who led them on a week long trek to his own village only stopping for 4 hours of sleep and water breaks with no food.
At the end of the journey only seven survived and their owner who revealed himself to be Orochimaru, the Rogue Sennin of Konoha, congratulated them on their resilience before finally treating them to a feast since most of they were on the verge of collapsing.
Once they have had their fill, they were split in male and female then directed to their respective dormitories. The next day they were placed in batches of 20 then assigned under different Jonin-senseis who were instructed to whip them into competent shinobi. The next four years was spent training while also avoiding murder and rape attempts from her fellow 'comrades'.
It still surprised the Kishida how she was still sane especially after the recent experimentation that she was subjected to.
'She must have some incredible willpower.' The boy deduced before a pair of hands made contact with his cheeks.
"Hey! What are you doing?" Atsushi asked as Kin pulled him to a standing position.
"I want to have a closer look at your Dojutsu." She answered as her right hand brushed away some strands of hair that were lying over his face, "You said it changes appearances as one progressed but never demonstrated it." She placed the hand back upon his cheek and drew their faces closer.
The male blushed for the fourth time, "So you want a demonstration?" An instant nod was his answer, "Are you sure because it might unnerve you."
"It can't be as worst as the things I saw back in Oto," Okay, Atsushi had to agree with her on that so without further ado he activated the first phase of his bloodline. Kin watched intensively as his green eyes morphed into green triangles, "This means that your Sankugan is active right?"
The Kishida gave a slight nod, "I will go onto Phase 2." Once that was said the triangles faded away being replaced by green hexagrams (Six-point stars) which prompted white chakra enshrouded Atsushi in a second skin.
"Pretty!" The now mesmerized girl muttered as she started leaning closer due to the warmth being radiated, this led to Atsushi blushing for fifth time that morning, a new record, as her body was pressed against his with their noses almost touching.
Deactivating the Nisankugan Atsushi gently pushed her away, "I think that's enough for today." He turned away to hide the blush on his cheeks.
Kin blinked in surprise then pouted, "And I was just starting to feel comfortable." She said with an arm cross.
Atsushi avoided staring in her direction, "Breakfast will be almost ready and we need to wash up." He grabbed his shinobi attire for his wardrobe then headed towards his bathroom, "You can use the bathroom down the hall." He pointed out before closing the door.
The ex-Oto kunoichi waited a few seconds before sneaking towards the bathroom door. 'I will just take a peek.'

Kin halted her movements then began to curse silently.

For the first time since reclaiming the hat Hiruzen was happy with himself, the Sarutobi currently sat on the Hokage Seat with a cigar in his right hand while his Shadow Clones demolished stacks upon stacks of paperwork.
'Ah! Life's good!' Septuagenarian thought as he inhaled a good amount of tobacco from the cigar.
The moment was interrupted when Jiraiya flew through the open window a panicked look on his face, "Sensei we got a problem!" He informed slamming two books down on his desk, "A huge problem!"
Hiruzen stared at his student before picking up one of the books, "This is a Bingo Book from Kumo." He recognized.
"Turn to page 78." The Sarutobi turned to the page and read it only for his complexion to turn pale, "Now page 91 on the next one," With shaking hands he closed the book and picked the remaining one already recognizing it as Iwa's own issue.
Taking a loud gulp Hiruzen opened to the requested page and if possible paled even further at its content, "H-how did they find out?" He stammered, "Only 7 seven persons know of his parentage and each one sworn to secrecy."
"Either one of them leaked it out or someone else picked up the similarities and connected the dots." Both men knew the first was out as four of Seven genuinely cared about blonde while the remaining three (Konoha Elders) although not having close ties remained silent for their own personal reasons, so that just left the second opinion.
"Do you think it was Orochimaru?"
"Not really," Jiraiya mumbled, "Cause if he knew about it Naruto would have been targeted but according to reports only the Uchiha and Kishida were."
"But there is still the possibility that he does know and somehow leaked it out in a bid to divert our attention."
"Either way Naruto's life just got more difficult as Iwa will be hunting for his blood while Kumo will try to use him as a breeding stock for a couple of years before ripping out the Nine-tails and sealing it in one of his brainwashed offsprings."
Hiruzen frowned at both scenarios then looked down at two bingo books, "These have been published right?" he asked worriedly.
The Toad Sage nodded, "Yes, they will be distributed within a week."
"Great, I will now have to increase patrols on both the Northwest and Northeastern borders." The Hokage grumbled.
"Actually you don't have to," Jiraiya spoke up and earned a questioning look from his sensei, "There is something else we could try that will make both Iwa and Kumo hesitant in carrying out their plans."
Hiruzen sat up straight and asked, "What's on your mind?"
The Sennin went silent for a few seconds before dropping the bomb, "Make me the 5th Hokage."
The Third nearly fell out of the seat, "What?"
"I said make me the 5th Hokage." Jiraiya repeated with a steeled expression.
Seeing that this wasn't joke the Sarutobi composed himself, "What about Naruto? You talked about taking him on a training trip."
The Sage took a sit then proceeded to sign, "Sadly that won't be happening anymore since he's far more powerful and knowledgeable than I expected."
Hiruzen nodded, Naruto befriending Atsushi and Areku was the best thing that ever happened to the Uzumaki in a long time.

|Konoha General Hospital|
Knock! Knock!
Kakashi glanced towards the door then let out a weak sigh, "Came in!"
"Hey Kakashi." Areku greeted as he stepped in, "Feeling better?" He asked shutting the door.
"With the exception of my pride, then yes." The Silver-haired answered lowly.
The Kishida Jonin walked over and patted his friend on the back, "There there it happens to the best of us," He comforted earning a 'Hmm' from Kakashi, "Anyway I came to inform you that Atsushi and I will heading to Arashigakure tomorrow along with Anko and Kin."
Kakashi gave him a questioning look, "Why are they tagging along?"
"Kin wants to be rid of her Storm Release before Kumo targets her for having one of their few bloodlines while Anko is a personal reason." The patient stared at him for a few moments before nodding in satisfaction. "So when will you be discharged?"
"If his checkup says so," An unfamiliar voice answered, turning in surprise both Jonin took noted of the raven-haired female donned in a white lab coat standing by the door.
'When did she get in?' The two thought as the female walked over and gave them both a friendly smile.
"I'm Shizune Kato, the medic-nin in charge of patient Kakashi Hatake," She introduced before gazing at the Kishida, "and you are?" She questioned.
Smiling back at her said Kishida introduced himself, "Areku Kishida, Arashigakure Jonin and Ambassador to Konoha."
Shizune's gaze turned from curious to awe, "Well that explains the exotic green hair and eyes."
"E-exotic?" Areku stammered before fingering his collar, 'Why is the room suddenly hot?'
"Ahem." Kakashi coughed gaining the two's attention, "My checkup please?"
Shizune blushed in embarrassment, "Of course." She walked over and placed her glowing green hands on the hospitalized Jonin.
"Well Kakashi," Areku wiping a bead of sweat from his face, "I leave you in competent hands," He said before vanishing in a flicker of sparks.
Shizune grew amazed at the exit, "Was that a Lightning Style: Body Flicker?"
"Yes," Kakashi answered, the female detecting a hint of jealousy in his tone, "Don't understand why he started showing it off." He mumbled.
The raven-haired nodded withdrawing her hands from the Jonin, "So you know where he lives?" Blinking at the question Kakashi asked why, "I need an instructor to help me master my Lightning Affinity as it is the last requirement for me to gain my Jonin Promotion."
"That's makes sense," He nodded knowing that one had to wield complete mastery over one element or be passable in two before earning the rank of Jonin. "But why go after him? I'm the best user of Lightning Style in all Konoha."
"Really?" Shizune gave him a surprised look, "So you can use a Lightning Style: Body Flicker too?" Kakashi sheepishly looked away, "I guess not."
Cursing Areku in his mind Kakashi wrote down the Kishida's address and gave to the smiling Medic-nin, 'I seriously need to train more.'

It's been 3 hours since the show at his bedroom and Atsushi still couldn't get the image of Kin out of his mind, 'Well she's bigger than most of the girls in my-'
Slap!
He halted that trail of thought with a sound slap to his right cheek, 'I knew I shouldn't have accepted Jiraiya's perverted book, now I can't stop thinking about her nice rack and decent curves-ARGH!' Atsushi slapped himself again before sighing in resignation, 'Maybe seeing Naruto will help me forget.' Kishida thought taking a left turn while oblivious to the stares some civilians were giving him.
10 minutes later, the future Ambassador stood in front of the door to his best friend's apartment, "Before I forget," He reached into the pouch strapped to his waist and retrieved a storage scroll, channeling chakra he unsealed an object then returned the scroll to the pouch before knocking on the door.
"Happy Birthday!" he congratulated as soon as the door was opened.
Naruto's face lit up with surprise, "SUSHI!" He cried before dragging the teen inside, "I haven't seen you in like forever… and is that my present!"
"Yep!" Atsushi smiled handing over the gift, Naruto immediately tore off the wrappings and ribbons revealing…
"Wow." Naruto gawked before staring at his friend, "How did you kmow I needed a Fuinjutsu kit?"
This caught the Kishida by surprise, "You're already started studying the Sealing arts?" The Uzumaki nodded, "…I can't believe a lot happened in just one week." He mumbled.
"About that." Naruto began, dropping the Fuinjutsu kit beside his other present, "Hinata told me about the B-rank mission you guys went on," He turned around and gave the Kishida a mischievous look, "So you finally hooked up with the Sound Girl huh?"
Atsushi glanced away, a faint blush on his cheeks, "Like you haven't hooked up with Hinata yet?"
"Touche."
"So what new jutsu did you learn on your trip?" Naruto grinned before conjuring a Chakra sphere, Atsushi stared at it for a few seconds then deadpanned, "So you made your Chakra Bomb blue? Big deal."
The Uzumaki face-faulted then he got up and charged at the nearest wall, "Rasengan!"
BOOM!
Jaw connected to the floor Atsushi could only stare at the giant hole made by the jutsu, 'What the-'
"That my Friend is the Rasengan," The blonde informed while dusting himself off.
That threw the Kishida for another loop, "You learnt one of the fourth's signature jutsus in a week!"
"Yep and I-"
POOF!
"Naruto-sama," Akane interrupted, appearing out of the white fume, "I bring a package from Hinata-sama." The males took note of the fairly large present on the vixen's back.
Atsushi raised a green eyebrow in surprise, "You made Hinata a Fox Summoner?"
Nodding in reply Naruto retrieved the present, "Thanks Akane, I saved some spicy jerky in the fridge for you."
Tail wagging the Vixen headed towards the kitchen, "You're too kind Naruto-sama."
"I know." The Uzumaki replied as he placed the present from Hinata on the table and lifted the cover. Atsushi watched as his friend picked up a beautiful red scarf followed by a scroll which Naruto unfurled and read silently.
Curiosity spiked the Kishida drew forward only for Naruto to snap the scroll shut then whirl around with his cheeks tinted red, "I will be in my room." Was all the Uzumaki said before dashing into said room making sure to lock the door.
With question marks over his head the Arashigakure native wondered what was in the scroll to warrant such a reaction.

"Checkmate again son."
Blinking Shikamaru stared at the board in surprise, "I guess you win again." He sighed, reaching out in order to reset the pieces.
Shikaku placed a hand on board preventing him, "What's on your mind son?" He asks.
"You can tell?"
"I raised you along with my troublesome wife so yes I can tell."
Realizing that there is no use keeping it to himself, the Chunin spoke his thoughts, "I have been thinking about becoming stronger." He revealed.
The elder raised a brow in surprise, "I see." He replied leaning back onto his chair, "You know that means more training and less cloud-watching." He locked eyes with his son, "Are you still willing?"
Shikamaru ponders the question for a bit before nodding slowly, "Yes."
This bought a smile to the elder's face, "Well then, let's begin." He got up and led his boy towards the backyard, "So what do you want to train in?" He asks once the two were out of their home.
"Defensive jutsu." Came the immediate reply.
Shikaku nods in a sage-like manner. "Good choice, I think the Shadow Guardian Jutsu will be sufficient for that purpose." assumes a stance and begins to demonstrate the jutsu.
From the Kitchen window, the Matriarch of Nara Clan - Yoshino Nara watched on with a smile.

|Hyuga Clan Compound, Main Branch Residence|
Creaking her door open a bit Hinata peeked through and glanced around, the walls within the compound had anti-dojutsu seals on them so she couldn't use her Byakugan.
'All Clear.' The Heiress noted, opening the door a bit more so she could spill out but not so much as it usually made a creaking sound alerting anyone who happened to be close.
Once out Hinata quietly began to tippy-toe along the hallway hoping to avoid an encounter.
"Nee-san!"
Hinata nearly jumped out of her skin, "H-Hanabi-chan!" She stammered as the younger Hyuga who happened to be wearing an open brown jacket with a black body suit approached, "I thought you were in your room."
"I went out for a glass of water." Hanabi answered before leaning in, "So where are you sneaking off to hmm?" She whispered smugly.
The elder sighed before adopting a weak smile, "At sunset my friends and I are throwing Naruto a surprise party and I volunteered to be part of the planning crew." She revealed.
Hanabi's eyes lit up, "Can I come?" She asked excitedly.
"Father will be curious if both of us go missing."
"What if we ask for permission then-" Hanabi paused as realization kicked in, "He will probably say no right?" Hinata nodded in reply.
The two remained silent for a while before Hanabi looked away, a sad look marring her pretty face, "I will stay back then." Hinata frowned, not use to seeing her only sister like this.
'There has to be a way we can both go.' She thought before thinking up a plan.
Placing a hand on her sister's shoulder and offering her a small smile Hinata said, "I have an idea but we need Neji-nisan."
The brown-haired Hyuga gained a surprised look, "How will Neji help?"
"Father may allow us to attend if Neji expresses interest."
The younger nodded in agreement, "Ok neesan, but how will we make Neji interested?"
Hinata smiled mischievously, "If we tell him that a certain weapon loving girl is attending."
Hanabi tilted her head in confusion before it struck her, "Oh Tenten."
"Exactly."

Leaning against a tree trunk was Areku Kishida who happened to be patiently waiting for his two students to arrive, "Just on time Ari-kun." He acknowledged before glancing at the side of said person, "Where is Kin?" He asked.
"She forgot something back at her apartment, I offered to accompany her but she said I should go on." Atsushi answered taking up the spot beside his uncle, "So what will we be training in today?"
"The usual with a bit of-" The sounds of footsteps interrupted him, "I see you finally-" Areku paused mid sentence as he recognized the person walking behind Kin.
"We meet again Areku-san." Shizune smiled warmly as said Kishida just nodded his cheek becoming a bit flustered as he recalled her compliment from the morning.
Atsushi stared at the Kimono clad female then walked over to where Kin was and gave her a questioning look, said girl shrugged before answering, "On my way out of my apartment I found her knocking on the door of your residence and after a bit of questioning it turns out she was just searching for your uncle."
That satisfied the Chunin, "Good job," He said causing younger Kunoichi to beam.
His compliment attracted the elder's attention, "Ah you must be the Atsushi that Naruto talks much about."
This surprised the two Kishidans, "You know Naruto?" Areku asked now lacking his flustered look.
Shizune nodded, "He's the main reason why Tsunade-sama and I are back."
"Wait a minute… You're her apprentice!" Areku pointed out with the teenagers under his care now staring at said female in awe.
Shizune blushed from all the attention, "It's not that big of an achievement."
"Are you kidding?" Kin gasped, "A lot of females will kill just to have one lesson with her as the instructor." Atsushi nodded in agreement.
"So why were you looking for me?" The Kishida Jonin asked changing the general topic.
The lady was relieved at the change, "I heard you are an expert user of Lightning Style."
"You did?"
"Yes," Shizune nodded before continuing, "I want to make use of my Lightning Affinity and was hoping that you will be my instructor as both Jiraiya and Tsunade-sama couldn't since they didn't share the same affinity as I."
Areku touched his chin in thought, "Do you have a secondary affinity?"
"Jiraiya-sama did help me develop an affinity for Fire though a weak one."
Surprised Kin leaned towards Atsushi, "It's possible to develop an affinity towards a different element?" She quietly asks, not wanting to interrupt the adults.
Atsushi nodded, "As long as your main affinity isn't the weakness of the desired." Seeing that she didn't quite understand he explained further, "For example my main affinity is Lightning, if I wasn't a Kishida and was thinking of developing another affinity I wouldn't pick Earth-"
"Because its weakness is Lightning." Kin finished up now getting it. With that settled the two returned their attention back to the adults who had gone silent, one in nervous expectation while the other was deep in pondering.
After a minute Areku nodded, "I guess there's no harm taking you as a pupil but it have to be sometime next week since I will heading out first thing tomorrow morning."
Shizune seemed disappointed by this, "So no teachings until next week?"
"I never said that." Areku replied with the medic giving a 'Huh?' in reply, "Your presence here means that your shift at the Hospital is over correct?" At her nod he continued, "So if you have nothing else to do we can start right way…"
Shizune clapped in excitement, "Where do I sign up sensei?"
Nodding at her excitement Areku turned towards his nephew, "Atsushi you will be in charge of teaching Kin today."
"Really?" Both teen asked in sync with Shizune staring in astonishment.
"Yes, you will teaching her Step 1 water manipulation since she already knows Step 1 lightning manipulation."
"Wait, you know lightning style?" Atsushi asked in shock.
"Only one D rank jutsu." She answered in embarrassment but her embarrassment soon turned to surprise when the Chunin grabbed her left hand.
"Unacceptable! We are fixing that flaw right now!" He declared dragging her off to another part of the training field.
Areku watched them in amusement before facing the stunned medic, "You ready?" He asked regaining her attention.
"Hai."
"Good but before we began I need to educate on some not so basic facts about Lightning Style," He sat down on the soft grass with Shizune following, "First of all when trying to generate Lightning be careful not to convert your entire chakra into lightning chakra or you will die from internal electrocution," Shizune shuddered at the thought, "In order to avoid that happening, one should convert the chakra as it is being released not when it is still within the chakra pathways."

Same time
"I'm still surprised you want to train with me especially on my birthday."
Sasuke flexed his head creating some snapping sounds, "Consider it a birthday gift." He answered his blond rival.
Naruto thought about it for a while then shrugged, "So what are training in?"
The Uchiha grinned, "How about a spar?" He offered, assuming the inspector fist taijutsu stance.
The Uzumaki mirrored the grin, "Terms?"
"No holding back!"
The grin grew wider, "Then it isn't a spar anymore." He pointed out, assuming his own self-created Legion taijutsu stance. "It's a fight between MEN!"
"Hmph, you mean-"
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
Before Sasuke could blink he was surrounded on all sides by Narutos, after glancing round he turned back to where Original was and said, "Zero multiplied by a Thousand is still Zero, I thought you knew that!"
Silent reigned from a second before cries of 'CHARGE' were heard all over Konoha.

|Naruto's Apartment|
In the living room several persons who were busy setting up a surprise party shot their heads up at the cry, these individuals happened to be Hinata, Hanabi, Neji, Ayame, Karin, Iruka, Konohamaru, Udon and Moegi.
"I guess Sasuke is doing a good job of distracting Naruto." Iruka said with the others nodding in agreement.

A cloaked figure could seen wandering aimlessly in the blinding mist, a couple minutes later he stopped for a second then picked a direction and headed towards it only to be confronted by four animal mask wearing individuals.
One of ANBU assumingly the Captain who was wearing a Dragon mask stepped out to say, "State your business stranger for you are about to enter Kiri's territory." The figure remain silent causing the Captain to draw his sword, "I repeat state your business or be annihilated where you stand?"
This finally earned a reaction from the cloaked figure as he chuckled, "Annihilation huh, you guys don't even know the meaning of that word."
The Captain narrowed his eyes, "Squid, kill him." Said animal wearing ANBU instantly dashed forward.
Upon reaching the figure, Squid slashed downwards only for his blade to pass harmlessly through his target. "WHAT!"
"Amaterasu!" Before he could even think of dodging Squid was engulfed by black flames.
"PUT IT OUT!" The Captain roared.
"Water Style: Wild Water Wave!"
Twin jets of water impacted the flames but it had no effect, the three watched in disbelief as their comrade was burnt alive.
They then searched for the stranger but couldn't find him anywhere, "Where the hell did he-"
"Universal Pull!" His two remaining subordinates were pulled backwards into the thick mist before the sounds of snapping were heard.
"Hydra, Crab I order you two to get back here!" Dragon demanded thinking the two had fled.
"Your friends aren't here anymore." A voice said from seemingly everywhere.
'I never thought our village defenses will be used against us.' Dragon thought as he fearfully glanced around, 'I can't sense him at all'. As soon as he thought that, the cloaked figure appeared before him and grabbing the ANBU Captain by the neck lifted him up from the ground.
"You are all pathetic!"
"W-who… are… you?"
"I don't reveal my name to weaklings," The figure answered, "But I'm in need of your services." He then added smoothly.
Dragon glared with defiance, "Never," He spat before biting down, but his capturer had already expected that answer as the handle of a kunai was shoved into the ANBU's mouth before he could bite into the suicide pill lodged in his tooth.
"I wasn't asking for your cooperation." The stranger said pulling back his hood to reveal his eyes.
Dragon released a gasp as he recognized one of the eyes, "S-sharingan," He mouthed before his own eyes glazed over.
Seeing that his Genjutsu had taken hold, the figure retrieved his kunai then released Dragon and watched as the latter slumped unto his knees, "Now take me to your leader."
The ANBU Captain nodded then wordlessly stood up and led the way.
