Chapter 30: Welcome to Arashigakure

Rebel Base, Water Country

"It's a trap."
"Of course I know it's a trap." Mei Terumi, leader of the Mist's Revolutionary Forces sighed as she leaned back on her seat, eyes closed in thought while a hand massaged her bountiful chest. Zabuza and Aoi both glanced away not wanting to earn her ire for staring at the tempting display, "So what we do now that all of their forces have withdrawn to Kiri?"
"Going to the Water Daimyo won't help," Aoi revealed, "He has washed his hands off SHinobi affairs ever since the war broke out and is content with watching Kiri self-destruct."
"Good-for-nothing royals, they should all be-"
"Zabuza!" Mei chided.
"What about the Six Tails Jinchuriki? If we had him on our side we could take the fight to them." The Demon of the Mist switched topics.
Aoi shook his head, "Unfortunately, Utakata refuses to be part of this war even after Mei-sama tried to persuade him personally."
Zabuza whistled, "So a male finally resisted your charms eh." He teased the buxom brunette.
Mei's brow twitched, "That was because he already had a partner and a pretty one at that."
This surprised the Swordsman, "And here I was thinking Jinchurikis were mostly loners."
"Well this one isn't-"
"Anyway," Aoi interrupted before an argument could break out, "Recent intel from our spies suggests that he and his 'partner' are planning to leave Water Country."
"And go where?"
"Probably Storm Country."
"Darn."
Silence fell upon the trio until Zabuza asked, "How many competent Shinobi have fled since the war broke out?"
"At least 10,000 if not more." Mei answered sourly, "A fifth of them headed to Storm."
"Well Mei-sama, they were the first to offer asylum." Aoi added.
"I know I know."
'10,000,' Zabuza mused as laid back, 'Discrimination against bloodline wielders started 9 years ago and civil war broke out 3 years later.' He calculated, 'So 10,000 shinobi left during the 6 years of constant war, that added with the causalities sustained by both sides will bring Water Country's shinobi force to around or below 30,000.' Haku's foster father at further calculation proceeded to frown, 'Even if the war is brought to a close by the year's end, the number of active shinobi will around 15,000 – 20,000 which is minor village status.'
The Swordsman glanced at his two companions and saw that they were arguing over something, "Was the matter?" He asked.
"I'm thinking of asking one of the Hidden villages for help." Mei informed.
Aoi shook his head, "That won't work out." He said.
"Why?"
"Suna and Konoha got caught up in Oto's invasion, Iwa is too far away to help and Kumo will mostly ask for bloodline wielders in return, something we don't have an abundance of anymore."
"What about Arashigakure?" Zabuza suggested.
The two stared at him, "Arashi?"
"Yea, a good number of Kiri's bloodline users migrated there and their shinobi are no pushovers."
Aoi looked doubtful, "Are you sure?"
The swordsman nodded, "I sparred with one after the Wave mission and he's the real deal."
"Then it's decided," Mei stood up, "I'm heading to Arashi."
Aoi also stood up, "I will accompany you."
The 30 year old busty brunette stared at the eye-patch wearer, "No, I'm taking Haku and Chojuro." Zabuza raised a brow at his foster son being called, "You two will stay here in case of an attack."
"But-"
"Aoi, shut up or I'll kill you." Mei smiled.
The now silent man sat down.
"Why those two?" Zabuza asked, once Mei had stopped smiling.
"Haku is good at gathering intel and Chojuro needs to go out more."
"That's true."

True to Areku's calculation they did arrive at the outskirts of the Hidden Storm Village at exactly sunrise, more than one person couldn't contain the gasp that escaped them at the sight of the wall.
"It's tall!" Shizune exclaimed, with the others giving nods of agreement.
At the driver's seat Areku voiced, "Welcome to the Outer wall of the Hidden Storm Village."
"Wait, outer wall? You're saying it has an inner wall too?" Anko asked.
"Yes," Atsushi answered this time, "Both walls are 20 meters high and 40 hectares apart."
"That's a lot of land in between," Kin mused, "what's it used for"
"Mostly plantations and animal ranches but a few housing estates are popping up." Areku supplied.
"But having two walls," said Anko with a teasing smirk directed at Areku, "Are you guys really that paranoid?"
"Actually, it wasn't the Kishida who planned this city's infrastructure or layout." Said Jonin supplied as he slowed the carriage since there was a queue up ahead, "This place used to be the capital of the Old Storm Country."
The females all blinked in surprise, "Wait, if this was the previous capital then how come-"
"It became a hidden village?" Atsushi completed Kin's unfinished question, "Well according to the history books-"
"Damn history," A certain Snake user muttered.
"Hush!" Shizune scolded her.
"Sometime a hundred and something years ago, during the First Shinobi War," The Chunin continued, "the then clan head, Ataxin Kishida, who was seeking an appointment with the then Storm Daimyo, ended up saving said daimyo from an assassination attempt from a rivaling country. As a sign of gratitude, the Daimyo asked Ataxin to name his price and the latter requested a place where his clan can call home since they had grown tired of wandering.
Upon hearing that, the Daimyo went one step further and offered him the entire city on the condition that the Kishida turn it into a Hidden Village. At first Ataxin declined saying that the same city can't function as both a Country's capital and Hidden Village, but the Daimyo laughed it off saying that he was already constructing the new capital, Ras-Hafun, 65 kilometers south of here." He finished.
The three females went silent as they digested the information.
"Welcome to Arashigakure Minor," An unknown voice startled the four before they looked ahead and realized that they were already at the first checkpoint, "may we inspect your carriage?"
"Please do." Areku replied
"Good, now I need each and every one of your company to step out." The officer added with another request.
After the group had stepped out, four other officers appeared and began the inspection of their Conestoga-like Carriage, more than one eyebrow was raised as the inside, bottom, under driver's seat and wheels of their Carriage were thoroughly inspected.
As the rest watched the inspection, Areku turned back to the officer and examined him, 'Hmm… Standard grey garments of any Storm Shinobi, blue flax jacket shows that he's of Jonin rank, but appearance wise none of the native clans has white hair so that means…' "Say, are you a member of the newly consented Tategemi Clan?" He inquired.
Said Clan member and officer was taken aback, "How do you-"
"Areku Inazuma Kishida, Arashigakure's ambassador to Konoha at your service." Areku introduced with a small smile and open handshake.
The officer subconsciously shook it as his gaze was still on the ambassador, "I'm Shiro, but according to our intel, you're not suppose to arrive until tomorrow morning!"
With a hearty chuckle Areku gestured towards their vehicle, "That was before we acquired her." The officer nodded dumbly still shaking the hand, "Umm, you can let go now." The Kishida reminded.
"Ahh yes." He disengaged with a slight blush, "Emm…" He looked round for a subject change, "Is that young man your son?" He gestured towards Atsushi who was explaining something to the girls.
"No, he's my nephew."
"So his parents…" The Officer trailed off.
"Hai."
"My condolences." He sympathized.
The Kishida waved it off, "No need."
"All clear!" One of inspecting officers announced.
"Alright," The Tategemi coughed regaining his composure and the rest's attention, "For security measures everyone must have a visitor seal placed on their body." He glanced at the two green-haired males, "I have no doubt that you two are who you say you are, but we still need to verify your identities."
"No problem, it's not like while in rush or anything."
Grateful that they were cooperative, the Officer allowed them to move on to the next checkpoint where their visitor seals will be administered.

Between the walls, Arashigakure
8:41
The group were taking the paved road which led to the inner wall, Areku was up front at the driver's seat motoring their now topless carriage, the two youngest were right behind him glancing at the environment while the two older females were at the back preoccupied with their own business until…
"Damn, this seal itches!" Anko suddenly cried as their carriage sped pass some rice plantations.
Shizune watched as the snake user shrugged off her trench coat then began to claw away at her back where the seal was placed, "You will hurt yourself Anko." She simply said.
Said female scowled, "How are you two okay with this?" She asked.
The medic shrugged, "Mine doesn't itch and neither does Kin's" She gestured towards the girl who was watching the passing fields alongside Atsushi. "Just take your mind of it and the itch will go away." She suggested.
"Fine," Anko said, flopping down on the carriage's floor, "At least I will soon be free of the other one."
"You mean the curse seal, right?" Shizune asked innocently.
The near topless purple haired gave her a pointed look, "How do you know about that?" She demanded.
"Tsunade-sama talked about her teammates a lot during our travels." This answer caused the interrogator to relax.
"I see."
"But I never knew you were once Oro-"
"Don't finish that sentence!" Anko hissed.
"Okay, I'm sorry." The 27 year old apologized, placing her hands in a placating manner.
"Good."
"Guys, the inner wall is in sight!" Atsushi notified.
Hearing that Shizune got up and went ahead, leaving Anko alone in the back.
The 25 year old bit her lips in suppressed anger, "Soon I will be free of your damned mark Orochi-teme!" She muttered.
Areku who was upfront frowned at the slight spark of killing intent from the back, 'I hope they can remove the mark, cause if not.' He worried, 'Anko will definitely make a scene.'

Final Checkpoint, Inner Wall Gate
"Areku Inazuma Kishida, Atsushi Inazuma Kishida, Kin Tsuchi, Shizune Kato and Anko Mitarashi, right?"
"Hai."
The officer who had happened to be a Kishida from the Jari (Stone) Division gave Shizune a long look before nodding, "Well, your identities match up and no illegal cargo had been spotted so," The iron gate was drawn upwards, "Welcome to Arashigakure Major!"
With a flick of the rope, the horses neighed as they marched forwards drawing their vehicle into the main city.
"Wow!" Once again more than one person couldn't their gasp at the sight of the bustling city as different sights, scents and sounds assaulted their senses making it difficult not to be amazed.
Areku who was the least affected took his time to wave at curious looking citizens, 'It's been long hasn't it?' He thought back to his childhood.
"Everyone seems so friendly." Kin said as she took in their expressions, "It's like we're back in Konoha right Atsushi?"
"Yea," The Chunin agreed, "I wonder if I will see Eito, Banri or Himari."
Closing her eyes Kin tilted her head in thought, "Why do they sound familiar?" She inquired.
Atsushi smiled at her actions, "They were also in the Chunin exams." He reminded.
"Oh." She now recalled, "I only saw the redhead fight so-"
"What's with the many hair colors," Anko interrupted as she gestured round, "There's like a thousand different colors."
"Yah, but it's just different shades of the basic five." Atsushi explained.
"Basic five?"
"Green, Blue, Red, Brown and Blonde."
The Snake summoner hummed, "I guessing Green stands for lightning, blue: water, red: fire, brown: earth and blonde is wind."
"You're correct."
Kin stared at a particular group of citizens, "I'm pretty sure white, black and purple aren't shades of the five you just mentioned."
"Those are probably members of different clans other than the Kishida." As Atsushi continued to explain, Shizune went on ahead and took the seat beside Areku.
"We're being watched." She whispered.
"It's been like that ever since we entered Arashigakure minor." He whispered back.
"I know but," Shizune gave a hidden hand gesture to one of the building's tops, "Their focus is mainly on me."
The Jonin glanced subtly at the direction and true to the medic's words were two hidden ANBU agents. 'They usually work in groups of threes, so that means the remaining one is keeping an eye on the ones at the back.' Nodding back at Shizune the Kishida Jonin said, "I have a guess why they're so focused on you."
"What's it?"
Areku's expression turned sheepish, "Well you aren't in the report I submitted."
"Eh?"
"The report I sent beforehand explained that I will only have three companions, so the appearance of a fourth made them suspicious."
"But why was I included?"
"I didn't know you will be joining us, and why did you wait till the day of departure to tell?"
"I wanted it to be a surprise!"
"Well this is also a surprise."
Shizune gulped, "I won't get locked up right?" She asked with a pleading look.
Areku suppressed a chuckle, "Don't worry; it will all be resolved after I've explained the situation to the Yosokage."
Grateful but still warily the medic shifted closer, "Just to be on the safe side I'm sticking with you."
The Kishida raised a brow, "Why?"
"You're strong, I can tell just by looking."
Areku nodded, "So you have been ogling me?" He asked with a neutral look.
"N-no!" The medic spluttered with a red face, "I-it's just…"
"Just?" He pressed.
"I'm a medic-nin, I can tell when someone is in tiptop shape." She answered with a less flustered look.
"I guess that's acceptable," Areku didn't miss the relived look at his acceptance, "Back to the previous topic, I may be an Elite Jonin, but I'm no match for two ANBU agents."
Shizune gave him a serious expression, "Then I will hold one off until you're done with the other."
Okay this time Areku had to take his eyes off the road to give her a disbelieving look, "You do know you're Low Jonin at best, right?"
Looking away Shizune sulked, "You don't have to word it that way."
"No matter how it's worded the-" The growling of empty stomachs interrupted the rest, the two looked back at the blushing trio then each other, "That's true, we did skip breakfast this morning." Areku reminded before looking around, "I see a cafe up ahead, you guys interested?"
"HAI!"

At a random Café
The five arrived and took their seats with the two oldest (Areku and Shizune) on one side while the three youngest (Anko, Kin and Atsushi) on the other.
Once everyone's order was served they began to eat, "So what do you all think?" Areku started the small talk.
Anko took a sip of her tea, "The food is nice and the people..." She took a pause, "are okay I guess."
Her answer caused the others to stare at her curiously, "What do you mean?" The Kishida Jonin pressed.
"The males are as fit as the ones back home, but" She glanced outside at a group of women who were shopping, "The females are a bit bigger!"
Kin blinked, "Bigger?" She worded as Atsushi drank a cup of cocoa while his uncle bit into a toast.
"I'm talking about their breast size."
Atsushi spat out the beverage while Areku choked on his toast, the remaining females were shocked at the Snake Mistress's audacity.
"We're in the public; you can't say stuff like that out loud." The medic in the group reprimanded while glancing around to see if anyone overheard.
Finishing her tea, Anko dropped the cup then gave Shizune's upper body a look, "Yours are much bigger now."
"Huh?" The older Kunoichi replied, not understanding her fellow woman.
"I'm talking about your chest." Several heads shot up and not just at their table.
"My chest?"
"Yes," The Snake user nodded, "It's much larger than it appears to be." Kin and Areku subconsciously agreed while Atsushi tried to understand how they got into this topic.
Shizune felt steam exit her ears as her face turned red, "Why are you talking about that?" She almost yelled.
"I'm just curious."
"About what?"
"Whether Tsunade taught you her special jutsu?"
The medic blinked, "What special jutsu?" She asked, oblivious to the numerous people who were now eavesdropping.
'Wait, she doesn't know?' Atsushi thought in surprise, 'The girls back at the academy were always talking about this.'
'Wow,' Areku thought to himself as he gave the medic a side-glance, 'Tsunade must have really isolated her.'
Anko smirked, "The one that enlarges a woman's boobs to any size-"
"THERE IS NO SUCH JUTSU!" The apprentice stood up to yell.
"Really?" Everyone in the café asked, including her companions.
"YES!"
"So your growth is natural? Then that means you're a late bloomer?"
Shizune slopped down, already exhausted by the questions. "Please pay the waitress so we can leave!" She muttered to Areku.
"Or is it a cream-"
"Waitress!" Areku called before Anko could further embarrass the brunette with her questions.
"Hai." A pretty redhead answered before walking over, "How may I be of service?"
"We would like to pay now."
Fishing out a notepad, the waitress calculated their bill, "That would be 7,000 ryo." Areku handed her the amount, "Please come again." She bowed before leaving to attend to another table.
"So to the Yosokage Tower?" The youngest, Atsushi, asked.
"Hai," His uncle said as he stood up prompting others to do so, "We have to introduce you ladies to him," He then stared at a particular troublemaker, "and Anko no more games please, Shizune is already embarrassed as it is."
"No promises." The scantily clad trench coat wearer smiled.
Knowing that was all he was going to get from the possibly crazy interrogator he turned towards his nephew, "Atsushi."
Said Chunin stood a bit straighter, "Yes, Oji-chan?"
"Remember Kin is your responsibility just like how Shizune is mine." The cheeks of mentioned females reddened a bit, "Got that?"
"Hai!"
"Then we move!"
The duo headed towards the door alongside their responsibilities.
"Hey! What about me?" A left behind Anko questioned.
Areku glanced over his shoulder, "You're responsible for yourself." He informed.
The expression on the self-proclaimed Snake Mistress's face was worth millions, "Wait! Why am I responsible for myself when those two aren't?" She yelled before running after the four.
Seated on a table beside the lookout glass, a customer who was subtly observing the group dropped her menu, "Target not a threat." She whispered into her earpiece.
"Withdrew surveillance team but have one agent on their trail." Came the command from the wireless radio.
"Hai!"

Streets
On their way Shizune felt the sense of being watched vanished.
"They're gone aren't they?" Areku who was driving asked.
"Yes, but why?" The brunette questioned staring at the Jonin.
"They must have realized that you weren't a threat, well mostly."
"Mostly?"
"There's still one on our trail, but that's standard procedure so you can rest easy now." The side of his lip inched upwards as the medic slumped back in relief, "You're too tense."
"I was half convinced that I will be imprisoned." She confessed.
"You doubt my ability to protect you?" He received a playful glare at that.
"Weren't you the one who said 'I'm no match for two ANBU'?"
"Didn't you say you keep one at bay?" Areku played along.
"How can I? I'm Low Jonin remember?"
"Anko would have assisted."
"Anko?"
"Yes," Areku nodded, "that scene at the café was her way of taking your mind off being watched."
"No way," Shizune worded as she glanced back the female who was teasing the teenagers, "I didn't know."
"But I'm sure most of it was her being curious," The Jonin adding as he directed the horses to make a left turn, "As the apprentice of Tsunade we all assumed you would know about her special Jutsu."
The medic sighed as the topic was unknowingly brought back up, "Even if such a jutsu existed don't you think I would have sworn to secrecy?"
"So the possibility of it being real is still genuine?"
"I can't say," The Senbon user shrugged, "But if such jutsu exists, it could cause problems if it was made public."
Areku agreed, "Women would become too focused on their looks, some might even abuse the jutsu ending up with ridiculous sizes."
"Sizes which will cause a good percentage of males to lose self-control leading to increased cases of rape and assault." Shizune elaborated.
"Such a crime is punishable by death in this country." The verdette revealed surprising the brunette.
"Is that so? Cause the penalty in Fire Country is 25 years imprisonment."
"What if after serving that sentence, he or she comes out and starts all over again?"
"Well…" The medic came up with a blank.
"See! That's why we decided a death sentence is better. It prevents another from getting traumatized."
"I see your point." Shizune conceded.
"Good," His eyes went back on the road, "After meeting the Yosokage, we head to Ambassadorial Residence and discuss you and Kin's training schedule.
"About that, Atsushi said you're also good in Fire Manipulation."
"The Jonin puffed out his cheeks, "I'm pretty good in all five, especially the three offensive ones.
That interested the brunette, "You mean Lightning, Fire and Wind?"
"Yep," Areku popped the 'P', "I can use all three in conjunction and the results are pretty devastating."
"That sounds deadly!"
"It is."
"But no one can use three jutsus at once." She pointed out.
The Kishida nodded, "I had help from two shadow clones, I performed Lightning Style: Thunder Dragon Blast, one of the clones did Wind Style: Air Dragon Roar and the remaining did Fire Style: Fire Dragon Flame Missile."
Shizune imagined all three then shivered, "3 A rank jutsus, I hope you were far away from the village when performing that combination." His nervous chuckled proved her wrong.
"Actually it was at Training Grounds 43."
Shizune's eyes widened, "So-"
"SO YOU'RE THE ONE WHO DESTROYED MY SECOND FAVOURITE PLAYGROUND!" Anko roared startling all four on the carriage.
Areku was sure the snake user would have marched up and grabbed him by the collar if he wasn't currently driving the carriage, "Hehe, sorry?" He tried.
"SORRY WON'T FIX THAT SCORCHED WASTELAND!"
"What's going on?" Kin asked Shizune, after staring at an enraged Anko then an apologizing Areku.
"Four years ago, Oji-chan was experimenting with a combination jutsu and ended up destroying 3/4ths of a training ground." Atsushi answered instead.
They stared at his surprise, "How did you know?" The older of the two asked.
"I was there when it happened; it was late in the night so we had an easy time fleeing." The Chunin smiled at memory, "That jutsu is definitely S rank if not higher; I'm also tinkering with a lesser version of the technique." He then revealed.
'These guys are monsters!' The two brunettes thought with slight fear.
"We're here!" Areku announced as a majestic looking tower attached to a much larger building was sighted, "Now Anko, its best we're on our best behavior as we will be under surveillance."
Said female gritted her teeth before sighing, "Fine, but this isn't over."

Yosokage Office
1 and a half Hours Later
"Yosokage-sama!"
Atoniji donned in an ash-grey version of the kage attire visibly perked up at the greeting, "Ah! Areku-san and Atsushi-kun, I've been expecting you too." The cyan haired stared at the females along them, "I see you brought guests."
The elder verdette introduced each female, "This is Shizune Kato, Kin Tsuchi and Anko Mitarashi. The latter two require our assistance."
The 36 year Yosokage tilted his head, "And Shizune?"
Areku felt said person gulp, "Needs assistance with mastering her nature transformation, I'm currently on it."
"Which nature?"
"Lightning sir!"
"What's her rank?"
"Special Jonin."
"Threat level?"
He glanced at Shizune before answering, "Low B."
Atoniji nodded before facing the medic who seemed to have gone stiff at his gaze, "You should be proud one of our best ninjutsu specialists is taking you under his wing."
"H-hai sir!"
"Now what assistance would the other two require?" He continued, taking his eyes off Shizune causing her to sigh in relief.
"Well Kin wants to become a Shinobi of the village and hopefully a Kishida," Areku pushed said nervous girl forward so that the Kage can get a closer look at her, "Anko here," He gestured to the female, "Would want to have her curse seal removed."
"Hmm," The Fourth Yosokage hummed, "We have been coming across a lot of those lately."
Anko's expression noticeably brightened, "Really?"
"Yeah, a good number of refugees from Water Country had them." He paused to think, "They seemed to be suppressing their bloodline limits." The Kage reached for his pen and began to write down on a piece of paper, "Now I will have my secretary fix your appointment with the Shrine priestess but it will take a couple of days," His gaze went to the leader of the odd group, "She is the only one who can help Anko and Kin."
Areku bowed, "Many thanks."
"Don't mention," He waved off him while reaching into a drawer, "Oh Kin!" The Kage tossed her a Storm Headband, "Congrats!"
Said person caught it then stared at it in shock, "Does this?"
"By the power versed in me by the people of Arashigakure and the Elemental Daimyo," Atoniji began, surprising everyone, "I appoint you the rank of Elite Genin, please serve Arashigakure well." He finished.
Kin was bouncing with delight as Atsushi congratulated her.
"Okay, am I the only one who is surprised by how easy that was?" Anko asked aloud.
"Areku-san already supplied the data on Kin's capabilities, I believe she's well worthy of the rank." The Kage explained.
Shizune seemed deep in thoughts, "Wasn't that rank annulled?" She asked.
Areku shook his head, "No, it's just isn't as common as it used to be, so people think it was annulled."
"Oh!"
"Still Elite or not she's still a Genin in the eyes of other Shinobi," Kin stopped bouncing at the reveal that many will still consider her a Genin, "But if you work hard then I may, in the coming months up it to Chunin." Atoniji promised.
Kin nodded, "You won't regret this!" She said before bowing.
The 36 year old smiled, "Now I should be tending to my paperwork," The group stared at the piles of paper on his desk, "You five should probably get going unless you want to help?"
Areku shook his head, "We will take our leave." With that said, they left the Kage with his paperwork.

Lobby
Atsushi and Kin were ahead, the female chatting excitedly with the former about her rank while the three adults followed behind.
"I told you it will be resolved." Areku said to a much relaxed Shizune.
"Thanks, but why the interrogation?" She asked as their group headed towards the stairs.
"Basic information, I had already supplied those of Anko and Kin in the report."
"I see…" The medic mused before staring back at the Jonin, "Having two walls, intel on individual capabilities, restriction and tracking seals, you guys are definitely painting the picture of paranoia." She pointed out.
"Told you." Anko who was beside Shizune reminded her.
Dark clouds hung over the Kishida, "It's not like that." He began, "The security measures were put in place during the Second Shinobi War by the Second Yosokage."
"Why?" The Snake mistress asked.
"To protect the village and its citizens," The Jonin replied, "That's why they haven't been removed yet."
"I still think its paranoia."
Anko's comment sunk him further into depression as the overhead clouds rumbled with thunder.
"So what do we do until the appointment is scheduled?" Shizune asked, before the clouds could rain on Areku.
Said person glanced up at a wall clock, his depression already gone. "It isn't noon yet," He looked surprised before suddenly having an idea, "What do you guys say to a tour of the village?"
The brunette looked delighted, "That's sounds nice."
"Know any good Dango shops?" The purple haired asked instead, this earned her a look from the other two, "What?"
"Nothing!" The two said in unison as they turned their attention back to the front.
'Weird.' Anko thought at their synchronization.
The three exited the building and found that the two youngest members of their group were already waiting in the carriage, "Did something come up?" Atsushi asked since they took a while.
"We were just deciding on the next course of action." Areku responded, taking up the driver's seat.
"Which is?" Kin then asked as Anko and Shizune got onto the vehicle.
"We're going on a tour." He flicked the ropes.
Neigh!
Their carriage was drawn out of the compound and into the village streets.

A/N: So no Naruto, Team 7 or Konoha in this chapter, I had to eventually write a chapter where those three weren't shown and this is it.
Most of you will be wondering what I'm going to do with Kiri and that's a surprise so keep reading.
Review Respond
Now someone asked (Name withheld) why I gave Hinata water and earth as her affinities when either wind or fire would have been better and here is my answer.
Me giving her Wind will make it seem like I'm copying the idea of another author (Something I'm most certainly trying to avoid as his fic is quite popular), giving her Fire so that she can burn her opponent's chakra coils is authentic but seems farfetched and unlike Hinata.
It's not like I won't modify certain characters (I did modify Naruto and Sakura a lot), but I'm not giving certain characters moves that are unlike them (I'm basically saying that the image of Hinata burning someone seems unreal to me)
That's all.
And have a nice week.
