Tiny Kong Potter

Beginning AN: Here it is the chapter where Tiny Kong joins the fray for the rest of the Donkey Kong 64 arc. and rather than do an interlude after each world I squeeze each one into the end of the last chapter for the DK Crew and the start of each chapter for King K. Rool's reaction to the DK crew slowly making their way to the showdown with him. I could add a third option to the poll involving Tiny Kong's teenage form which would be start her growth spurt during Year 1 of the Harry Potter saga but it's ultimately my choice in the end. now on with the story.

Chapter 4: Angry Aztec

King K. Rool is still sitting in his throne room and he says "That meddlesome monkey should be burnt to a crisp by now. where's that armadillo?" and turns on the view screen.
the armadillo is shown and it's revealed his name is Army Dillo and he says apologetically "I-I'm sorry master, he was too quick for me." he finishes with "I'll get him next time." King K. Rool yells in outrage saying "Imbecile! I don't like failure- do you know what happens to failures?" Army Dillo nervously gulps while shaking like a leaf. King K. Rool gives Army Dillo an intimidating stare and the armadillo faints onto his back. King yells "I've waited too long for this." he then says "I won't let those flea-bitten monkey ruin my plans this time." and we leave him for now.

meanwhile in Angry Aztec

Donkey Kong has arrived to Angry Aztec and in front of him is a quicksand pit with rope vines hanging above it he swings across and continues down the passage way. upon crossing the quicksand pit he activates a fast travel pad and sees a closed off area to his right but he can't enter right now because it requires Chunky Kong and his pineapple launcher to open it. he continues down the passage way and swings across another quicksand pit. he finds a locked area with two coconut switches on the walls to the left and right of the doorway and he shoots both which opens the door but he can't enter at this time because he needs to learn a move that allows him to temporarily be invincible which means visiting Cranky's Lab again. he then makes his way out of the passage way.

upon exiting the passage way the camera pans to a caged camel who says "Listen to me! the key to my freedom lies in the clouds." and the camera returns to Donkey Kong he goes left and finds the matching fast travel pad to the one earlier. he then notices a house to his left and enters after swinging across quicksand to get to it. once inside he meets Candy Kong and she says "Well hello Donkey take it easy and let Candy tell you how she's gonna make you feel real good." she continues with "you can have my musical instruments let's give it a try shall we?"
she gives Donkey Kong a set of bongo drums she bids Donkey Kong Farewell with "You have all the latest stuff from me, come see me later okay?"
and Donkey Kong leaves. he swings back to the center of the starting area snd climbs three trees that each have a banana bundle on them and tags Diddy Kong in and he visits Candy Kong as well and is given an electric guitar she then says the same thing she said to Donkey Kong as a farewell.

Diddy Kong leaves and returns to the area with the tag barrel and climbs a tree and swings to the top of the camel's cage where he finds a pad with a guitar on it. he activates it by playing his guitar and it opens the way to the next room. he jumps down and goes to the temple straight across from the camel's cage and finds a red banana bundle, a red banana balloon and a fast travel pad which he activates. he then goes to the left of the temple and sees a peanut switch on the first wall which he shoots and it opens the door to inside the temple and he enters.

once inside the camera pans and it reveals that Tiny Kong is caged in here and she says "Sorry guys I'm afraid they got me too." the camera returns to Diddy Kong and he notices a switch with his face on it and he ground pounds it which has platforms appear on the wall nearby. he then platforms his way to higher ground getting three red bananas in the process and notices a peanut switch that he shoots and a bridge appears to tightrope across. he crosses the bridge and gets three red banana bundles and notices another music pad that has his electric guitar on it and he plays it while standing on the pad.

upon activation the ceiling opens up and thaws out a pool that was frozen over. he jumps down and then in the pool and dives and he notices a path with three red bananas on it which he collects then he notices a path to his right that has three more red bananas which he grabs. he then gets out of the water and notices that he's found the room Tiny Kong is trapped in. he notices a switch with his face on it to the left of Tiny's cage.

he dash attacks it and platforms appear underneath letters that spell out the word Kong. he dash attacks each one in the correct order and Tiny Kong is released and she says "Nice work Diddy!" she then says "Right then I'll grab all the purple bananas I see." she then leaves while saying " I'm off to the tag barrel- ready to kick reptile butt." once she leaves Diddy Kong collects the golden banana that was in the cage with Tiny Kong. he then makes his way back to the temple entrance and exits.

once outside he makes his way to the tag barrel and Tiny Kong enters the fray. Squawks show up and says the same thing he did to Diddy Kong in Jungle Japes and leaves. Tiny Kong then visits Candy Kong and is given a saxophone and Candy Kong bids farewell the same way she did to Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. Tiny Kong leaves and tags Diddy Kong back in and he enters the passage way he opened earlier. along the way he encounters a Kremling crew brute with purple hair which he ignores and goes to the room on the right he makes his way along a narrow pathway and finds a fast travel pad and Cranky's lab.

he enters and Cranky Kong says that he perfected another of his potions and gives it to Diddy Kong. Diddy Kong drinks the potion and learns how to use his rocket barrel jetpack. Cranky then says that he's not sure if Diddy was ready to learn how to use his rocket barrel jetpack and ends it with saying that he won't give Diddy Kong another potion until the next area and Diddy leaves and tags Donkey Kong back in. Donkey Kong notices two banana balloons and shoots them. he enters Cranky's lab and learns temporary invincibility which allows him to walk on quicksand and other dangerous surfaces. Donkey Kong leaves and tags Tiny Kong back in.

Tiny Kong makes her way back to the main passage way and defeats the Kremling crew brute from earlier and gets her first Blast-O-Matic blueprint. she then makes her way to the end of the passage way and activates three fast travel pads and goes back to Cranky's lab and he gives her a potion that allows her to learn how to shrink in size to enter otherwise inaccessible areas and return to normal size and she leaves.

she then tags Donkey Kong back in and he returns to the room that he couldn't enter earlier and uses his temporary invincibility to make it across the quicksand defeats a Kremling crew brute with yellow hair for his second Blast-O-Matic blueprint. he collects two banana bundles and leaves the room and turns off his temporary invincibility once he's on safe ground. he then makes his way back to the area that Candy Kong's music shop is and tags Diddy Kong back in.

he then makes his way back to the room where Tiny Kong activated three fast travel pads and activates his rocket barrel jetpack and pulls out his peanut popguns. he the flies to the totem pole in the center of the room and sees a red banana bundle in the center of a ring shaped like a sun. he collects it and flies through the center of the ring three times a cage opens up and an ostrich appears and tests Diddy Kong's ability to fly with his rocket barrel jetpack which he succeeds and earns another golden banana.

after collecting the golden banana he goes to a platform that has four gongs on it he dash attacks each one and a temple appears as a result. he then climbs three trees and each one has a banana bundle on it. he then activates his rocket barrel jetpack and gets the golden banana that appeared on top of the temple that Diddy Kong revealed.
once the golden banana is collected a music pad with Tiny Kong's saxophone appears. he goes to the tag barrel and tags Tiny Kong back in.

Tiny Kong goes to the temple that Diddy Kong made appear and activates her ability to shrink in size and steps on the music pad then she plays her saxophone and Squawks gives her a lift to the top of the temple and she enters through the roof. once inside she races a ladybug in a slide race and wins earning her a golden banana. once she's outside the temple she makes her way to Funky Kong's armory and receives her feather bow which as the name implies fires feathers as ammo.

she then leaves and tags Donkey Kong back in and he makes his way to a temple with a camel's face on the door plays a game of barrel blasting and wins which unlocks the cage the camel is in and it rewards Donkey Kong by leaving a golden banana in front of the cage. back in front of the temple Donkey Kong notices a Feather switch, a grape switch and a coconut switch appear on the walls of the temple he notices a banana balloon behind the temple and shoots it and shoots the coconut switch and enters the temple. it's revealed that Lanky Kong is held captive in one of the rooms here. Lanky Kong notices that somebody has entered the temple and says " Who's there? can you come in here and give me a hand?"

back with Donkey Kong he activates two fast travel pads that only work in the temple. he then notices a switch with his face on it and ground pounds on it. upon activation a cave with quicksand as a path opens up and it's near Funky Kong's armory. he then makes his way to a music pad with his bongo drums on it and steps on it then plays his bongos. after activating the pad the camel wakes up and cools off the pool that's in front of it and goes back to sleep.

Donkey Kong jumps in the pool and swims into the room that has Lanky Kong caged in. he notices a coconut switch and shoots it which releases Lanky Kong who says before leaving " Cool move DK!I gotta get some fresh air." and as he's leaving he says " come find me in the tag barrel." Donkey Kong collects the golden banana that was in the cage with Lanky Kong. Donkey Kong takes a detour outside of Angry Aztec and tags Tiny Kong back in. she makes her way to an Island with a house on it before going in she goes to the back and uses her feather bow on a feather switch and collects another golden banana and goes back to the front of the house.
but the doorway is too small to enter normally so she uses her shrink ability to enter the house and talks to the owner which is the banana fairy queen who gives Tiny Kong a camera to help catch her followers and grants Tiny and the rest of the DK crew the ability to create shockwaves that will knock enemies off their feet. and Tiny Kong returns to Angry Aztec. once she makes it back to Angry Aztec she makes her way back to the room where the camel was caged in and goes to the temple Diddy Kong freed her in and enters after shooting a feather switch with her bow.

once inside she uses her shrink ability and jumps in the pool to enter a room where she fights a defeats enemies similar to King K. Rool's pet and earns another golden banana before leaving she goes back to the room where she was caged in and uses her feather bow to pop two purple banana balloons and then she leaves and returns to the tag barrel and tags in Lanky Kong.

Lanky Kong then visits Candy Kong and she gives him a trombone and he leaves. he then makes his way to Funky Kong's armory and he's given his grape shooter. which is a dart blowgun that uses grapes as ammo. and he leaves. he then makes his way to Cranky's lab and is a given him a potion that helps him learn how to handstand which allows him to traverse steep slopes. he then leaves and makes his way to the temple that Tiny Kong was trapped in. he jumps in the pool and swims to a room that has a pillar on a platform. he jumps to the top of the pillar and finds a switch with his face on it and ground pounds it. and Ostrich appears while holding onto a golden banana. Lanky Kong shoots the ostrich and it drops the golden banana and Lanky Kong collects it. he then leaves the temple and makes his way to the tag barrel and tags Donkey Kong back in.

Donkey Kong then collects the golden banana the camel left behind earlier. he then makes his way back to the temple with the camel in it and once he enters he goes upstairs and tags Lanky Kong back in. Lanky Kong then notices a switch with a grape on it and he shoots it and it opens the doors to another room. he enters the room and sees a switch with his face on it and he ground pounds it which reveals a memory match game which he plays and wins to earn another golden banana.

he leaves the room and returns to the main room and makes his way to a music pad with his trombone on it he steps on it and plays his trombone. after activating a pair of snake statues appear over the pool with a barrel floating in the center. he jumps in the barrel and plays a game of "feed the hungry snakes to keep the turtles alive" which he wins and earns another golden banana. he then makes his way to the tag barrel and tags in Tiny Kong.

Tiny Kong makes her way to the lower floor and notices a banana fairy which she pulls out the camera and takes a picture which captures the banana fairy. she then uses her ability to shrink in size to enter a room that requires it and activates a fast travel pad. she then sees a Kremling crew brute with blue hair and ignores him and she notices a switch with her face on it. she ground pounds it and platforms appear which leads to another switch for her to ground pound she does and platforms her way to a third switch and ground pounds it. with all the switches activated she platforms her way to another golden banana and collects it. she then returns to the main room via fast travel and tags lanky Kong back in and he goes to the room Tiny Kong was just in and defeats the Kremling crew brute and gets his first Blast-O-Matic blueprint. he then returns to the main room and leaves the temple. he then makes his way to the tag barrel and tags Diddy Kong back in.

Diddy Kong uses his rocket barrel jetpack to get to the roof of the final temple in the room and ground pounds a switch with his face on it. he the jetpack's his way to the totem pole in the center of the room and feeds it peanuts from his peanut popguns. after the totem pole has had enough five ammo switches appear each one for the entire DK crew including the yet to be rescued Chunky Kong. he returns to the tag barrel and Tiny Kong is tagged in. she makes her way to the switch with a feather on it and shoots it and enters the temple.

once inside she shoots another feather switch and makes her way further in. she notices a small opening along the way and uses her ability to shrink in size and goes in the opening and finds another banana fairy which captures with a photo from her camera. she returns to the main room and continues further in and finds another feather switch and shoots it she then goes left and collects the golden banana and is told to get out by a voice that isn't anywhere in sight. she successfully escapes and returns to the tag barrel and tags Donkey Kong in.

Donkey Kong makes his way to the door of the temple with a coconut switch on it he shoots it and enters the temple. once inside he sees a coconut switch and shoots it.
he goes down the left path and finds another coconut switch that he shoots. he goes to the right path and collects the golden banana and is told to get out and he successfully escapes. he then makes his way to the tag barrel and tags Diddy Kong back in.

Diddy Kong makes his way to the temple door with the peanut switch above it and shoots it and enters the temple. once inside he notices a peanut switch and shoots it. he goes along the path to the right and and finds another peanut switch that he shoots. he then goes along the left path and collects another golden banana and is told to get out. he successfully escapes and returns to the tag barrel and tags Lanky Kong back in.

Lanky Kong makes his way to the temple door with the grape switch above it he shoots it and enters. once in side he sees a grape switch and shoots it. he goes along the path to the right and finds another grape switch. he shoots it and goes along the right path again and finds a barrel that he jumps in. he then plays a game of fly swatting and wins and earns another golden banana and is told to get out. he successfully escapes and returns to the tag barrel and tags Donkey Kong back in.

Donkey Kong makes his way to the room with the quicksand floor activates his temporary invincibility and makes it to safe ground. he notices a barrel above him and jumps in. he plays a game of "race against the clock and be stealthy about it" and wins which earns him another golden banana. he then returns to the area with the tag barrel in it and enters Snide's HQ and gives him the blueprint he found earlier and is given the final golden banana he can get in the level he leaves and returns to the tag barrel and tags in Diddy Kong.

Diddy Kong returns to the room the camel was caged in and uses he jetpack to get to the roof of the temple that Tiny Kong was rescued in and finds a Kremling crew brute with red hair. he defeats the brute and collects his second Blast-O-Matic blueprint. he returns to the area with the temple that held Lanky Kong captive and enters Snide's HQ and gives the blueprint and is given his final golden banana for the level. he leaves and returns to the tag barrel and tags Lanky Kong in.

Lanky Kong enters Snide's HQ and is given his final golden banana for giving the blueprint he found earlier. he leaves and returns to the tag barrel and tags Tiny Kong in.

Tiny Kong enters Snide's HQ and is given her final golden banana for the level for her blueprint. and with that all of the golden bananas that can be collected without Chunky Kong being rescued. she leaves and returns to the tag barrel and tags Donkey Kong back in.

(Author's note I forgot to mention that at this point all of the bananas that can be collected at this time have been gathered)

Donkey Kong enters the room with the two pigs and this time the blue pig needs a hundred and twenty bananas to open the door to the boss. Donkey Kong feeds all one hundred of his bananas and he tags in Diddy Kong who finishes it off and enters the room for his first boss fight. the boss Diddy Kong fights is a giant dragonfly and the dragonfly shoots fireballs at Diddy Kong who dodges and when the dragonfly lands Diddy Kong throws a barrel at it and it's a direct hit. as a result of bein hit the Dragonfly falls in the lava below but survives and flies back up and shoots at Diddy Kong again who dodges once more. the Dragonfly lands again and Diddy Kong hits the Dragonfly a second time. after falling in the lava a second time and flying back up the Dragonfly shoots fireballs at Diddy Kong again and he dodges. once the Dragonfly lands Diddy Kong throws a TNT barrel for the third and final time of the fight and when it falls in the lava a third time it drops the second key to K. Lumsy's cage which Diddy Kong collects.

Diddy Kong returns to Angry Aztec and makes his way out to return to DK Island. once back at DK Island Diddy tags Lanky Kong in and he goes to K. Lumsy's island prison goes to the back of the island and sees a grape switch that he shoots. he collects the golden banana and returns to the tag barrel and tags Donkey Kong in.

Donkey Kong meets up with K. Lumsy again and the second lock to K. Lumsy's cage is removed making him happy enough to bounce around again. the resulting earthquake opens the way to Frantic Factory and Donkey Kong makes his way to the entrance of Frantic factory and enters the level.

Ending AN: that's it Angry Aztec is done except for Chunky Kong's golden bananas which will be dealt with later.

Next time: The DK Crew explore Frantic Factory, rescue Chunky Kong, collect the first roadblock to the final showdown with King K. Rool a Nintendo token that can only be collected by beating the Arcade game Donkey Kong twice and they collect the third key to K. Lumsy's cage.
